Abstract
This paper presents a method that optimizes the teeth shape of linear induction motor. Independent variables are x-coordinate change of four nodes at each tooth, and its objective function is thrust at start. As a result, linear induction motor with high quality which its thrust increases up to 10% per pole can be designed.
