The high temperature deformation behavior of Al 5083 alloy has been studied in the temperature range of 350 to 520 ${\circ}C$ and strain rate range of 0.2 to 3.0/sec by torsion test. The strain rate sensitivity(m) of the material was evaluated and used for estabilishing power dissipation maps following the dynamic material model. These maps show the variation of efficiency of power dissipation(${\eta}$=2m/(2m+1)) with temperature and strain rate. Hot restoration of dynamic recrystallization (DRX) was analyzed from the flow curve, deformed microstructure, and processing maps during hot deformation. Also, the effect of deformation strain on the efficiency of power dissipation of the alloy was analysed using the processing maps. Moreover relationship between the hot-ductility and efficiency of power dissipation of the alloy depending on thmperature and strain rate was studied using the Zener-Hollomon parameter(Z=${\varepsilon}$exp(Q/RT) It is found that the maximum efficiency of power dissipation for DRX in Al 5083 alloy is about 74.6 pct at the strain of 0.2. The strain rate and temperature at which the efficiency peak occurred in the DRX domain is found to be ∼0.1/sec and ∼450${\circ}C$ respectively.
Suppose F is a field of characteristic not 2 and $F\;{\neq}\;Z_3$. Let $M_n(F)$ be the linear space of all $n{\times}n$ matrices over F, and let ${\Gamma}_n(F)$ be the subset of $M_n(F)$ consisting of all $n{\times}n$ involutory matrices. We denote by ${\Phi}_n(F)$ the set of all maps from $M_n(F)$ to itself satisfying A - ${\lambda}B{\in}{\Gamma}_n(F)$ if and only if ${\phi}(A)$ - ${\lambda}{\phi}(B){\in}{\Gamma}_n(F)$ for every A, $B{\in}M_n(F)$ and ${\lambda}{\in}F$. It was showed that ${\phi}{\in}{\Phi}_n(F)$ if and only if there exist an invertible matrix $P{\in}M_n(F)$ and an involutory element ${\varepsilon}$ such that either ${\phi}(A)={\varepsilon}PAP^{-1}$ for every $A{\in}M_n(F)$ or ${\phi}(A)={\varepsilon}PA^{T}P^{-1}$ for every $A{\in}M_n(F)$. As an application, the maps preserving inverses of matrces also are characterized.

In reverse engineering, data acquisition methodology can generally be categorized into contacting and non-contacting types. Recently, researches on hybrid or sensor fusion of the two types have been increasing. In addition, efficient construction of a geometric model from the measurement data is required, where considerable amount of user interaction to classify and localize regions of interest is inevitable. Our research focuses on the classification of each bounded region into a pre-defined feature shape fer a hybrid measuring scheme, where the overall procedures are described as fellows. Firstly, the physical model is digitized by a non-contacting laser scanner which rapidly provides cloud-of-points data. Secondly, the overall digitized data are approximated to a z-map model. Each bounding curve of a region of interest (featured area) can be 1.aced out based on our previous research. Then each confined area is systematically classified into one of the pre-defined feature types such as floor, wall, strip or volume, followed by a more accurate measuring step via a contacting probe. Assigned to each feature is a specific digitizing path topology which may reflect its own geometric character. The research can play an important role in minimizing user interaction at the stage of digitizing path planning.

This paper suggests a systematic methodology to predict chip forms using the experimental design technique and the neural network. Significant factors determined with ANOVA analysis are used as input variables of the neural network back-propagation algorithm. It has been shown that cutting conditions and cutting tool shapes have distinct effects on the chip forms, so chip breaking. Cutting tools are represented using the Z-map method, which differs from existing methods using some chip breaker parameters. After training the neural network with selected input variables, chip forms are predicted and compared with original chip forms obtained from experiments under same input conditions, showing that chip forms are same at all conditions. To verify the suggested model, one tool not used in training the model is chosen and input to the model. Under various cutting conditions, predicted chip forms agree well with those obtained from cutting experiments. The suggested method could reduce the cost and time significantly in designing cutting tools as well as replacing the“trial-and-error”design method.
NURBS (Non Uniform Rational B-Spline) is widely used in CAD system and NC data for high speed machining. Conventional CAM system changes NURBS surface to tessellated meshes or Z-map model, and produces linear tool path. The linear tool path is not good for precise machining and high speed machining. In this paper, an algorithm to change linear tool path to NURBS one was studied, and the machining result of NURBS tool path was compared with that of linear tool path. The N-post, post-processing and virtual machining software was developed. The N-Post post-processes linear tool path to NURBS tool path and quickly shades machined product on OpenGL view and compares a machined product with original CAD surface. A virtual machined model of original tool path and post-processed tool path was compared to original CAD model. The machining error of post-processed NURBS tool path was reduced to 43%. The original tool path and NURBS tool path was used to machine general model using same machine tool and machining condition. The machining time of post-processed NURBS tool path was reduced up to 38%.

Social participation of the elderly and the disabled continuously becomes more active due to the improvement of social systems and technological development. Various systems such as intelligence robots and intelligence home systems have been developed to support their social participation, and those systems obviously contribute to the independent lives of the elderly and the disabled. Those systems, however, usually require special hardware, which make them very expensive. Considering the economic difficulties of the users, the problem should be tackled with software-oriented approaches using existing hardware such as laptops. The software should be adapted to users with limited capabilities by enabling them to utilize the system without much knowledge related to computers and also without keyboards and mice. This paper suggests software-oriented approaches to solve those problems with the description of the unified user interface for a special work chair, and introduces an actual development procedure of the program together with real application of related theories.
Suppose K is a nonempty closed convex nonexpansive retract of a real uniformly convex Banach space E with P as a nonexpansive retraction. Let $T_1,\;T_2\;and\;T_3\;:\;K{\rightarrow}E$ be nonexpansive mappings with nonempty common fixed points set. Let $\{\alpha_n\},\;\{\beta_n\},\;\{\gamma_n\},\;\{\alpha'_n\},\;\{\beta'_n\},\;\{\gamma'_n\},\;\{\alpha'_n\},\;\{\beta'_n\}\;and\;\{\gamma'_n\}$ be real sequences in [0, 1] such that ${\alpha}_n+{\beta}_n+{\gamma}_n={\alpha}'_n+{\beta'_n+\gamma}'_n={\alpha}'_n+{\beta}'_n+{\gamma}'_n=1$, starting from arbitrary $x_1{\in}K$, define the sequence $\{x_n\}$ by $$\{zn=P({\alpha}'_nT_1x_n+{\beta}'_nx_n+{\gamma}'_nw_n)\;yn=P({\alpha}'_nT_2z_n+{\beta}'_nx_n+{\gamma}'_nv_n)\;x_{n+1}=P({\alpha}_nT_3y_n+{\beta}_nx_n+{\gamma}_nu_n)$$ with the restrictions $\sum^\infty_{n=1}{\gamma}_n<\infty,\;\sum^\infty_{n=1}{\gamma}'_n<\infty,\; \sum^\infty_{n=1}{\gamma}'_n<\infty$. (i) If the dual $E^*$ of E has the Kadec-Klee property, then weak convergence of a $\{x_n\}$ to some $x^*{\in}F(T_1){\cap}{F}(T_2){\cap}(T_3)$ is proved; (ii) If $T_1,\;T_2\;and\;T_3$ satisfy condition(A'), then strong convergence of $\{x_n\}$ to some $x^*{\in}F(T_1){\cap}{F}(T_2){\cap}(T_3)$ is obtained.
Let R be a ring and $D:R^n{\longrightarrow}R$ be n-additive mapping. A map $d:R{\longrightarrow}R$ is said to be the trace of D if $d(x)=D(x,x,{\ldots}x)$ for all $x{\in}R$. Suppose that ${\alpha},{\beta}$ are endomorphisms of R. For any $a,b{\in}R$, let < a, b > $_{({\alpha},{\beta})}=a{\alpha}(b)+{\beta}(b)a$. In the present paper under certain suitable torsion restrictions it is shown that D = 0 if R satisfies either < d(x), $x^m$ > $_{({\alpha},{\beta})}=0$, for all $x{\in}R$ or ${\ll}$ d(x), x > $_{({\alpha},{\beta})}$, $x^m$ > $_{({\alpha},{\beta})}=0$, for all $x{\in}R$. Further, if < d(x), x > ${\in}Z(R)$, the center of R, for all $x{\in}R$ or < d(x)x - xd(x), x >= 0, for all $x{\in}R$, then it is proved that d is commuting on R. Some more related results are also obtained for additive mapping on R.

We present a high frequency electromagnetic (EM) inversion scheme for detecting and characterizing a fracture using single-hole data. At high frequencies, say above tens of mega-hertz, since displacement currents cannot be ignored, electrical permittivity as well as electrical conductivity is to be considered together for analyzing the EM scattering data. In this paper, we have developed a three-step inversion scheme to map the fracture and to evaluate its electrical conductivity and permittivity. We performed EM profiling along the z-axis using three-component receivers for each source. The model was excited by a vertical magnetic dipole and the resistant magnetic fields were inverted using the non-linear least-squares method. Background resistivity and permittivity were easily obtained using vertical magnetic fields below 1 MHz and above 10 MHz, respectively. Both the vertical and dipping sheets were successfully mapped using the phase difference between 40 and 41 MHz. The electrical property of the sheet was well resolved using the information obtained in the previous two steps and secondary magnetic fields. Our study shows the potential of imaging the fracture in single-hole survey environment using the high frequency EM method.
New regulatory, loci which participate in the regulation of anaerobic inducible gene expression in Salmonella typhimurium were identified. We observed the regulatory network of new regulator mutations to various anaerobic inducible gene (1). Some anaerobic inducible lac fusions were also induced at low pH condition which was severe environment to withstand for its virulence at the place like phagolysosome. Sic oxygen-regulated regulatory mutants (oxr) isolated by Tn10 mutagenesis were divided into two groups. Five of them were found to show negative effect on the regulation of anaerobic gene expression, while on e showed positive effect on the regulation. Genetic loci of four oxr were identified with 54 Mud-P22 lysogens covering the whole chromosome of S. typhimurium, in the nearby region of map unit 87 min (oxr101), 63 min (oxr104), 97 min (oxr 105), and 57 min (oxr 106), respectively. Two oxr mutants were subjected to two-dimensional polyacrylamide electrophoretic analysis of anaerobic inducible proteins for searching the control circuitry of our oxr mutants.
