This study sought to search for the new alternatives and direction to develop and strengthening rural youth education in Korea. The study was conducted through literature review on articles, proceedings and other sources relevant to the pending issues and difficulties of rural youth education in Korea. Some of the critical needs for improving rural youth education in Korea included the following aspects or alternatives; 1) Strengthening the partnership between rural adult and youth would be necessary to gain broader support and to establish the increased awareness of adults for rural youth education. 2) Better coordination and cooperative efforts should be emphasized among various programs and institutions in implementing rural youth education policies and programs. 3) Developing a strong link between the agribusiness sector and the rural youth education system should be strengthened to produce the effective results. Further activities to develop and implement diverse programs and projects to cope with new trends In farming and agriculture as well as changing trends in marketing sector of agribusiness and rural communities in Korea. The rural leadership and community networks should be established for improving the effectiveness of rural youth educational activities.

This study aims to explore the issues of residential care services for children and youth with disabilities using mixed methods research. In Korea, welfare policies for people with disabilities tend to focus on adults with disabilities. As a result, children and youth with disabilities often receive less attention in welfare policies, which is especially true of children and youth with disabilities at residential facilities, who have confronted more serious situations than children and youth with disabilities living together with their families. Thus, the goal of this study explores the issues of residential care services for children and youth with disabilities, and suggests alternatives grounded in the research results. This study used a mixed methodology; in particular the embedded design that is designed by Creswell and Clark(2007). In qualitative research, representative professionals who work at residential facilities were selected using the recommendations of professional groups, and were interviewed using focus group interview methods. In quantitative research, this study investigated the thoughts of professionals on the issues of residential care services for children and youth with disabilities, using questions that were developed through qualitative research results. This study is significant in that it explored the issues of residential care services for children and youth with disabilities, focusing on field experiences, for the first time in Korea, and suggested political alternatives for the future.

The significance of the research is to leverage on the policy makers and school education, and research in terms of human rights issues and for the improvement of multicultural education by seeking an effective training plan with the purpose of the present study it. The efforts to address human rights issues through real multicultural care center starts with the question of human rights education in multicultural education methodology that can protect the human rights of migrant workers, immigrant youth in a multicultural society such situation in Korea by. The objective of this study is to stress the importance of sexuality education at school, to define its goals and to discuss ways on how to reinvigorate sexuality education. The negative conditions for adolescent sexual issues are now being expanded into all areas of Korean society. In particular, they should be regarded as one of serious social issues because of their adverse influences on adolescent groups. Various reports on juvenile sexual delinquencies have expressed serious concern over reckless and impulsive juvenile sexual deviations because they are closely related to the confusion of the youth in their sexual values and their common sexual deviations. Thus, for the youth who have attracted serious public concern, it is most important to have sound sexual awareness and attitude for the development of their healthy personality. In general, sexuality education should be conducted under individual responsibility of various levels of schools, families and communities. However, the role of schools where sexuality education should be conducted with concrete goals, that is, to interpret physical and psychological developments of youth in terms of education and teach them on the systematic goals of sexuality education, this role of schools is the most important than anything else in conducting sexuality education for youth.

This study aimed to explore the current status of playgrounds, children's libraries and youth centers as local community centers in support of children. Its data were collected from reviewing the relevant literature, interviews, surveys and web search. It was found that children's libraries were predominantly located in Seoul and Kyungki provinces. In comparison with other advanced countries, Korea had lower ratios of volumes of books and periodicals per the library user and of a number of staff per the user. It was also found that over a half number of playgrounds was placed in apartment areas. Since 1993, the long-term youth development plan has commenced the construction of various societal infrastructure such as local youth centers, counseling institutes, sex-culture centers and youth cultural zones. Based on these findings, some policy issues were raised.

In order to achieve this goal, we consider the following issues: a retrospective analysis of the concepts of "giftedness", "intellectually gifted personality"; the experience of working with gifted youth abroad is analyzed; features of work with gifted student youth are revealed; educational and methodological support and practical work with gifted students are analyzed; an empirical study was conducted to determine the attitude of gifted youth to organizational forms of work with them; developed a scientific circle as a form of work with intellectually gifted student youth. A set of methods is used, in particular: theoretical methods: comparison, analysis, synthesis and generalization; empirical methods: analysis of documentation and results of pedagogical activity, observation.

This study purports to examine the potential determinants of welfare attitudes of Korean Youth. In a sense, this study could be considered as exploratory since the independent variables for model are chosen in a somewhat arbitrary manner. The independent variables are mostly value orientation of Youth. The welfare attitude is measured by the question asking respondent's nonnative idea on the primary care-giver in the old age. Data has been collected by National Youth Policy Institute as a part of research project, named "Korean Youth Development Indicators". The analysis shows that the welfare attitudes of Korean youth is influenced. by a number of factors. such as parent's education, a proxy for the parents' SES, attitude toward equality. and state's responsibility in general. The author contends that although this is an exploratory kind of study, this study contributes not only to the research in the field, hut also to the welfare policy-makers by providing generalizable outcomes on the value and attitudes of Korean youth on welfare issues. After all, policy needs public supports to be sustained.

As multicultural population has been drastically increasing over the decade in Korea, their quality of life needs to be studied. This study focuses on multicultural youths' suicidal issue in Korea. Suicide is one of the most obvious indicators to show the current status of mental health. Unfortunately, suicide attempt rate of multicultural youths was two-times more than that of non-multicultural youths in Korea during the past two years(2014-15). Through the literature review in Korea as well as the United States, this study explores the related variables to their suicide attempt. Research result says that multicultural youth's suicide is related to a variety of variables, including physical, psychological, educational, socio-economical, and cultural variables. Research implications are as follows: First, these variables can be utilized as predictive or protective factors to prevent their suicide. Second, theoretical framework for comprehensively understanding their suicidal issues needs to be developed. Third, both emergent and normal suicidal interventions need to be provided for multicultural youth in Korea.
