This study tried to understand an ambiguous urban landscape through a relational context. Gongpyeong district, an urban renewal area in Seoul, was selected as the site of the case study because traditional and modern styles coexist in this district. The research method and processes are summarized as follows. First, the district, which has both a redeveloped environment and an inherent environment, was divided into Yin & Yang structures. Next, an effort was made to grasp the fundamental relational characteristics(external relationships) of each type through three aspects: physical environment, activities, and meaning. As a result, Yin characteristics were found in the redeveloped environment which has predominantly Yang characteristics. In many cases, advertising, which is a Yang element, was missing in the redeveloped area. On the other hand, in the inherent environment which has Yin characteristics in general, shabby appearances were evident in aspects beyond advertising, and Yang elements, were found from the viewpoint of the theory of place. On the basis of these results, new dualistic frameworks with respect to the functions were re-structured, and complementary characteristics (internal relationship) based on topological aspects were analyzed. Unlike the monotonous appearances found in large scale environments, a variety of spatial characteristics were found in the various small scale environments. This explains that the dualistic coexistence has made a contribution to the complementary attributes of urban landscape. This study has the following ramifications. Much research of urban landscapes that has used western methodology which employs analytic aspects. As a methodology of urban landscape research this study introduced Iching, which tries to understand phenomena in a relational context. In addition, this study expects that the profound understanding of urban environments and the detailed relationship through this framework will suggest a new approach to urban planning, design and management related to future urban environments.

Objectives : The aim of this study is to summarise pattern-identification of shoulder pain based on the classics of oriental medicine, current literature and domestic papers. Methods : The materials selected were sourced from the classics of oriental medicine, current literature and domestic papers which contained data related to pattern-identification of shoulder pain. The pattern-identifications were compared to determine the similarities, and these were classified. Results : Thirty-five studies were reviewed, and thirty-seven pattern-identifications were collated. These were classified into the following groups: wind-cold-dampness group(n = 8), blood stasis group(n = 3), phlegm group(n = 7), dual deficiency of Qi and blood group(n = 4), deficiency cold group(n = 2), liver-kidney deficiency group(n = 1) and meridian-collateral group(n = 12). Conclusions : On the basis of the classification of pattern-identifications, two groups of pattern-identifications for shoulder pain were suggested. The first group included the pattern-identification associated with a disease-cause, which included the wind-cold-dampness pattern(風寒濕型), blood stasis pattern(瘀血型), phlegm pattern(痰飮型), Qi-blood deficiency pattern(氣血兩虛型), deficiency cold pattern(虛寒型), and liver-kidney deficiency pattern(肝腎虧損型). The second included the pattern-identification associated with the meridian-collateral, which included the hand greater Yin meridian pattern(手太陰經型), hand Yang brightness meridian pattern(手陽明經型), hand lesser Yin meridian pattern(手少陰經型), hand greater Yang meridian pattern(手太陽經型), hand reverting Yin meridian pattern(手厥陰經型), hand lesser Yang meridian pattern(手少陽經型), and foot greater Yang meridian pattern(足太陽經型).

Behavioral characteristics of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD) is one of the most common mental disorders among children.child psyachiatry. Inattention, Hyperactivity that is done by hyperkinesis or minimal brain dysfunction is major sypmton in ADHD, But etiology and pathological facor of ADHD is very much or unkown.. We brought to about a Study on the Oriental - medical pathologic Understanding about Inattention, Hyperactivity symptom in ADHD within Don yui bo gam Book are as follows. 1. Oriental medical pathologic concepts about Inattention, Hyperactivity are continuous with process of Yang Qi(陽氣), an unbalance of qi(氣) and shen ming(神明), excess of seven emotions(七情), pathology of Huo(火). 2. Immanent factors in inattention, Hyperactivity are improper diet, overtiredness and seven emotions, are continuous with pathological process of the heart, liver, gall bladder, spleen, stomach, kidneys. 3. In oriental medicine, considered as a child's qi of shao yang, dynamic physiological feature, excess and want of yin and yang, organs and bowels, immanently imbalance in growth rather than a child's mental disorder 4. Inattention, looseness in ADHD-PI type are continuous with forgetfulness, improper overtiredness, shortage of qi, the interior heat syndrome due to yin deficiency within Don yui bo gam Book 5. Hyperactivity, impulsive actions in ADHD-C type are continuous with sudden palpitation, severe palpitation, delirium, fidgeting due to deficiency, fidgetiness, hyperactivity of huo due to yin deficiency, fever, febrile disease with accumulation of blood.

Objectives & Methods : We investigated the cases for which spleen tonifying Sa-Am acupuncture was applied in ${\ulcorner}$Sa-Am-chim-gu-jeong-jeon(舍巖鍼灸正傳)${\lrcorner}$ and classified them according to the concepts of cold-heat & deficiency-excess for a better understanding of the application of spleen tonifying Sa-Am acupuncture. Results : 1. Tonification of Spleen Sa-Am acupuncture can be used to treat heat syndromes such as deficient fire caused by collapse of the spleen qi, stagnation of evil qi or spleen yin deficiency, by way of tonifying spleen qi, activating the flow of qi and blood or harmonizing spleen yin and yang. 2. Tonification of Spleen Sa-Am acupuncture can be used to treat cold syndromes such as weakness of spleen yang by way of promoting fire to generate earth, strengthening spleen yang and raising the clear yang. 3. Tonification of Spleen Sa-Am acupuncture can be used to treat deficiency syndromes such as malnutrition or poor appetite caused by spleen deficiency by way of tonifying spleen qi. 4. Tonification of Spleen Sa-Am acupuncture can be used to treat excess syndromes such as stagnation of qi and blood, abdominal mass or toxication by way of tonifying spleen qi and promoting the flow of qi and blood.

Objectives : This paper aims to study the I-Ching perspective in Shanghansuyuanji. Methods : Key words associated with I-Ching was searched in Shanghansuyuanji and analyzed its meaning and categorized thematically. Results & Conclusions : 1. Qianhuang symbolized Shaoyang, The Power of the Great hexagrams, Jueyin Peace hexagrams, Taiyin Gen Earth, Yangming Kun Earth, Shaoyin Return hexagrams, but didn't symbolize Taiyang, making it not uniform. 2. Qianhuang explained physiology focusing the change of YangQi with I-Ching perspective. This is possible because Shanghanlun thought that much of YangQi and I-Ching set a high value on Yang. 3. Qianhuang explained pathology such as insomnia, epigastric fullness, splenic constipation syndrome, Taiyinbing syndrome, somnolence, thirst, YinYang exchange with I-Ching perspective, it is meaningful because it enriches medical YinYanglun. 4. Qianhuang explained prescriptions such as Daqinglongtang, Zhenwutang, Shizaotang, Fuzixiexintang, Dachaihutang, Baihutang, a comparison between Daqinglongtang and Xiaoqinglongtang with I-Ching perspective. This is helpful to grasp the image of prescriptions. 5. Qianhuang explained nature of drugs such as Guizhi, Fuling, Fuzi, Qiandan, Rougui with I-Ching perspective, and it combines well with the features of I-Ching with drugs efficacy. 6. Qianhuang explained diseases of the six Meridians curing time with I-Ching perspective. This shows diseases of the six Meridians recover when Corresponding Qi is vigorous or Conflict Qi appears, and it is persuasive. For reasons mentioned above; Shanghansuyuanji is meaningful as Shanghanlun commentary.

This study reviews and suggests the followings: 1) The balance and harmony between water and fire (ki and blood, yin and yang) is regarded as the basic condition of maintaining health in Oriental medicine. 2) Oriental medicine defines disease as the imbalance or disharmony of body. So the discordance between water and fire is in ill state, the coordination between water and fire is in healthy state. 3) Etiological factors and pathology are summarized by the conflict between vital ki and pathogenic factors, six exogenous factors, internal injury by seven emotions and the imbalance between yin and yang. 4) The regulation of meridian ki recovers the balance between water and fire, ki and blood using acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy, herbal medicine and physical and breathing exercise and massage which is based on the principle of controlling ki and spirit.

Deasoon ideas are doctrine of Deasoonjinrihoe, which was founded by Ilsoon Gang, religious thinker in the late of Josun Dynasty. This study aims at examining influences of Confucius ideas implicit in Deasoon ideas and finding out their meaning in the modern society. Ilsoon Gang considered Confucianism very important when he forms his Deasoon ideas and after all, he included Confucius ideas to Deasoon ideas to develop his own religious theory. The meanings of Deasoon ideas in the modern world are as follows: First, Deasoon's harmonious ideas on yin and yang can be a healing method to solve conflicts and confrontations of the modern society. Second, Deasoon's harmony between God and humans and ideas on human dignity is helpful to solve human isolation that the modern society faces. Third, Deasoon's ideas that human's hostility and grudge must be healed teaches loves and co-existence to humans. Fourth, Dotongjinkyeong, which is Deasoon's ideal world, is the world where communication between an individual and the whole, God and humans, a human and a human, and humans and the nature perfectly are harmonized.

Subjective sensorial experiment was executed with 43 subjects to find the relationships between the sensibility of jacket styles and the handle of wool fabrics. The handle and sensibility of wool fabrics were significantly different according to the wool types, and the handle was defined as two axis of Wild/Exquisite vs. Thin/Thick. The sensibility of jacket styles was different by the types of jacket styles, and the jackets were displayed in the 2D of Masculine/Feminine vs. Country/urban according to the factor analysis using 8 sensibility words. The best-appropriate jacket styles for each wool fabrics were converged into several jacket styles, and it was found that the wool fabrics were divided as for all-purpose or for specific-end usage. For the results of correspondence analysis of the matrix for the best-appropriate jacket style for each wool fabric, the jacket styles and wool fabrics together were grouped as 4: Striking and Yang, Striking and Yin, Plain and Yang, Plain and Yin.

Geomancy accepts with a pre-requisite that human beings adapt themselves to nature as an organism, because people and environment, bodies and space have the homogeneity which can not be divided by a dichotomy. The homogeneity as a structure alive implies a deep relationship with biorhythm and the change of space, and is regarded as a concept and role significant on the coordination. In other words, applying the element in the geomancy could be interpreted as a work giving a new meaning and spirit on a creation of space and furniture coordination. Harmony and balance shown in design concepts have a relationship with the meaning on Yin-Yang and the Five Elements theory. In addition, the characteristic in each element is suggested as an example applying the concept of geomancy through furniture coordination for each space in the chapter 4.
