This paper proposed yaw moment control scheme using braking and active rear wheel steering for improving driving stability especially in high speed driving. Its characteristics the unified chassis control system of two equipment that 4WS(4 Wheel Steering) and ESP(Electronic Stability Program). in this study the performance of the vehicle was compared each equipment. And conventional ABS and TCS can only possible to control the longitudinal movement of braking equipment and drive which can only available to control of longitudinal direction. There after new braking system ESP was developed, which controls both of longitudinal and lateral, with adding of the function of controlling Active Yaw Moment. On this paper, we show about not only designing of improved braking and steering system through establishing of the integrated control system design of 4WS and ESP but also designing of the system contribute to precautious for advanced vehicle stability problem.
In this paper, a coarse alignment algorithm for strapdown inertial navigation system is proposed and evaluated analytically. The algorithm computes roll and pitch angles of the vehicle using accelerometer outputs, and then determines yaw angle with gyro outputs. It is referred, as two-step coarse alignment in this work. With the geometric relation between sensor outputs and roll, pitch and yaw angles, the algorithm error is analytically derived and compared with the previous coarse alignment algorithm introduced by Britting. The results show that the proposed two-step coarse alignment algorithm has better performance for pitch angle computation.

The objective of this study was to develop a system for handwriting recognition in three dimensions (3D) to authenticate users. While previous studies have used a stylus pen for two-dimensional input on a tablet, this study uses the Wii Remote controller because it can capture 3D human motion and could therefore be more effective means of recognition. The information obtained from a Wii Remote controller included x and y coordinates, acceleration (x, y, z), angular velocity (pitch, yaw, roll), twelve input buttons, and time. The proposed system calculates distances using six features extracted after preprocessing the data. In an experiment where 15 subjects wrote "AIZU" 10 times, we obtained a 94.8% identification rate using a combination of writing velocity, the peak value of pitch, and the peak value of yaw. This suggests that this system holds promise for handwriting-based authentication in the future.

This paper presents a simple but effective DYC algorithm which enhances vehicle lateral stability by using an anti=lock brake system (ABS). In the proposed algorithm, only the front outer wheel is controlled during cornering maneuver instead of controlling all four wheels because the wheel has the largest role in DYC and it is easy and simple to control the only one wheel. An ABS Hardware - In -The -Loop Simulation ( HILS) system that may be used to realistically test real vehicle dynamic behavior in a lab is used for evaluating the proposed DYC algorithm in severe situations where a vehicle is destabilized without DYC . The HILS results show that the proposed DYC algorithm has the potential of maintaining vehicle stability in some dangerous situations.

The stabilization of the motion control is developed and Nano driving Precision Pan-Tilt/Gimbal system is obtained from the security positioning cameras with ultra high speed device is used to carry out the exact behavior of the device.
This study aimed to analyze the wind-induced mechanical energy (WME) of a proposed super high-rise and long-span transmission tower-line system (SHLTTS), which, in 2021, is the tallest tower-line system with the longest span. Anew index - the WME, accounting for the wind-induced vibration behavior of the whole system rather than the local part, was first proposed. The occurrence of the maximum WME for a transmission tower, with or without conductors, under synoptic winds, was analyzed, and the corresponding formulae were derived based on stochastic vibration theory. Some calculation data, such as the drag coefficient, dynamic parameters, windshielding areas, mass, calculation point coordinates, mode shape and influence function, derived from wind tunnel testing on reducedscale models and finite element software were used in calculating the maximum WME of the transmission tower under three cases. Then, the influence of conductors, wind speed, gradient wind height and wind yaw angle on WME components and the energy transfer relationship between substructures (transmission tower and conductor) were analyzed. The study showed that the presence of conductors increases the WME of transmission towers and changes the proportion of the mean component (MC), background component (BC) and resonant component (RC) for WME; The RC of WME is more susceptible to the wind speed change. Affected by the gradient wind height, the WME components decrease. With the RC decreasing the fastest and the MC decreasing the slowest; The WME reaches the its maximum value at the wind yaw angle of 30°. Due to the influence of three factors, namely: the long span of the conductors, the gradient wind height and the complex geometrical profile, it is important that the tower-line coupling effect, the potential for fatigue damage and the most unfavorable wind yaw angle should be given particular attention in the wind-resistant design of SHLTTSs

A MIMO model reference control scheme incorporating the variable structure theory for a vehicle four wheel steering system(4WS) is proposed and evaluated for a class of continuous-time nonlinear dynamics with known or unknown uncertainties. The scheme employs an neural network to identify the plant systems, where the neural network estimates the nonlinear dynamics of the plant. By the Lyapunov direct method, the algorithm is proven to be globally stable, with tracking errors converging to the neighborhood of zero. The merits of this scheme is that the global system stability is guaranteed and it is not necessary to know the exact structure of the system. With the resulting identification model which contains the neural networks, it does not need higher degrees of freedom vehicle model than 3 degree of freedom model. Th proposed scheme is applied to the active four wheel system and shows the validity is used to investigate vehicle handing performances. In simulation of the J-turn maneuver, the reduction of yaw rate overshoot of a typical mid-size car improved by 30% compared to a two wheel steering system(2WS) case, resulting that the proposed scheme gives faster yaw rate response and smaller side angle than the 2WS case.

Recently, many types of electric vehicles including a heavy duty vehicle have been developed and released because of the better fuel economy and less gas products. In this study, research about an electric bus which utilizes the wheel motor drive system was conducted. The wheel motor is a motor connected to the wheel directly only with a simple gear so that the developer can utilize the space efficiently and the whole system efficiency will be better because of simple structure. However, because it is different from former types of vehicles which use the differential gear, the development of the integrated control logic is required in order to meet the vehicle stability and driving performance. The developed control logic is composed with direct yaw moment control, regenerative braking control and slip control logics. It is compared to the control logics which does not consist of direct yaw moment control and slip control when the vehicle is exposed in tough situations. For the unification of the control logic, a few maps were developed and applied to determine the output torque of each motor according to the driving status. As a result, it is shown that the developed control logic is more safe and well follow the target speed than the other control logic applied simulations.
By using differential force between left and right wheel, lateral motion can be controlled known as Direct Yaw-moment Control (DYC). In previous researches, DYC control is proposed to increase the stability of the vehicle, but maneuverability has not been discussed sufficiently. The car handling condition which is called the index parameter of maneuverability is dependent on the vehicle velocity and steering angle. To achieve the desired vehicle's cornering path, the car handling condition must be considered sufficiently. In this paper, the novel DYC method is proposed which gives the car handling condition regardless of the longitudinal speed. The proposed controller is based on the PI controller to feedback the curvature parameter. The controlled system shows the advantages of DYC regarding to the reference trajectory by the dual motor system. With respect to the uncontrolled model, the effectiveness of the proposed method is validated by numerical examples.
This paper describes a rollover index (RI)-based rollover mitigation control (RMC) system. A rollover index which indicates an impending rollover has been developed by a roll dynamics phase plane analysis. The rollover index is calculated using the roll angle, the roll rate, the lateral acceleration and time to wheel lift (TTWL). A differential braking control law based on a 2-D bicycle model has been designed using the direct yaw control (DYC) method. An RMC threshold has been determined from the rollover index. The performance of the RMC scheme and the effectiveness of the proposed rollover index are illustrated using a vehicle simulator.
