The most famous thought of Dongjungseo's must be 'the Sky-Earth Response Theory.' The theory includes the Same 'Gi' Correspondence(the Same Category Homology) and explains the relationship between the nature and the men based on Yin-Yang. This theory, commonly studied by the scholars of the political science, however, has been constituting the foundation of the oriental medicine. Also, he insists many other theories related to Yin-Yang including the natural calamity, the treatise of human nature, the name and reality, and the national school of Confucianism, etc. This paper covers the Yin-Yang theory, particularly with regard to ethics. politics, human nature of Dongjungseo, and the comparison of his Yin-Yang and that of the Emperor Inner Cannon. Dongjungseo insists on the harmony of Yin-Yang just only in the area of health care, excluding other areas such as state and family governance. However, in contrast, he asserts the Yang central idea for what he defined as the order of a family, a society and a state. This presents his contradiction and logicality. In the last part of this paper, his logical flaws would be discussed and analysed. However, he is a lucky scholar, because his Yang central idea has been successfully governing peoples for a long time, despite such imperfection and contradiction in his studies.

Hwangjenegyeng somun. Treatise on the parting and Meeting of Yin-Yang is the theory of the parting and meeting about Yin-Yang. It is harmonized treatise Yin-Yang and systemic constant. Taechung and Gwangmyeng are the concretely applied form of the parting and meeting of Yin-Yang at human body. The parting and Meeting of Three-Yin- Three-Yang has six types symbols of circulated Yin-Yang. They have Six-meeting space structure as match like up-down, backside and front-side, left-side and right-side. These pairs express symbolized meaning of creation of Saeng-jang-shu-chang and also apply the same things. Somum Treatise on the Parting and Meeting of Yin-Yang explains acting of human body by the parting and meeting of Three-yin-three-yang as six structures of Opening-covering-axis of Three-yin-three-yang. This principal is expression of the parting and meeting of Yin-Yang and concretes the opening and closing of circulation process for symmetry by each acting of Three-yin-three-yang. As result. the match of six-meeting in space structure and the Opening-covering-axis of Three-yin-three-yang are the basic principal of oriental medicine about the treatise of Gyeng-Lak and the treatise of Six-Gyeng of Sanghanlon.

Jang Gyung Ak thought the Yang Gi was the basis of life. This is why he said doctors should emphasize on preserving Yang Gi. Before his emphasis on Yang Gi he had to study and criticize the medical concept of HaGan, DanGye and DongWon. By criticizing and overcoming their medical concept's fallacy and limitations, he made his own medicine. JangGyungAk found the importance of YangGi in the theory of changes. In the "the Book of Changes" it is said the rising movement of YangGi is expressed by recipricals and propels heaven and earth, yin and yang to change. The phenomenon of life is also a reciprocal and is lead by YangGi, and so medicine should value Yang Gi. Because the phenomenon of life is lead by this Yang Gi, it is right to base changes of diseases and organize pattern identification. The pattern identification JangGyungAk presented as two Gang six Byun sets its base on YangGi.

In Chinese philosophy, the concept of Yin and Yang, in the era of the Early China, applies to many more philosophical categories than merely the relationship between the sunny side and the shady side of the sun. A whole series of possible interactions between the Yin and Yang in life is contained in the Chinese Book of Changes, the I Ching. The philosophical theory and the origin of natural sciences of the I Ching is imbued in the Nei Ching. having absorbed and developed the essence of Book of Changes, the Nei Ching reflects the spirit of science. Under the influence of Book of Changes, as well as its idea of Yin and Yang, peculiar at the time, the Nei Ching adapts the essences of the theory of Yin and Yang. The contribution made by the Nei Ching to the development of the philosophical concepts of Yin and Yang lies in that it combines those philosophical concepts with medicine and makes this the basic theory of Chinese medicine. In the Nei Ching, the Yin and Yang theory asserts that the human body is an organic whole, and there exists an organic connection between all tissues and structures. Therefore, the Yin and Yang functions as an essential life that plays a major role of the organic interrelation, the mutual control, and the mutual assistance. Yet, at the same time, each of them can be divided into the opposite aspects of yin and yang. Yin and yang depend on each other for existence. Without yin, there would be no yang, Without yang, there would be no yin. Neither can exist in isolation. Thus the interrelation of Yin and Yang is premised on the two opposite forces and aspects as the underlying cause of all change of Yin and Yang.

After studying about the formative process and theory concerning So-Yang In(少陽人)'s prescriptions, Some principles were founded. Those were summarized as follows. 1. Lee Jae Ma(李濟馬) established the theory and remedy about the So Yang In's diseases, and the formation of So Yang In's prescriptions was based on those theories and remedies 2. As the emprical prescription of So Yang In's diseases, ten pre-scriptions of Discussion of Cold-Induced Disorder(傷寒論) and nine of Won Myung dynasty period(元明時代) were described in Dong Eui Su-Se Bo Won(東醫壽世保元), and I could confirm that the formation of So Yang In's presciptions was based on those emprical prescriptions. 3. The pathological characteristics of emprical prescriptions of So-Yang In's diseases in Discussion of Cold-Induced Disorder(傷寒論) were completely corresponded with the principle of So Yang In's diseases, and we could know that emprical presciptions of diseases that were the base of So Yang In's prescriptions were selected by the principle of So Yang In's diseases. 4. In the serious cases of So Yang In's diseases, So Yang In's pre-scriptions were mostly made up of tonifying and nourishing yin medicine(補陰藥物) that dirrectly rufill the damaged Eum Chung Zi Ki(陰淸之氣). According to the above results, it could be concluded that Lee Jae-Ma(李濟馬) made So Yang In's prescriptions with emprical pre scri-ptions that were based on the theory of So Yang In's diseases and concluded that So Yang In's prescriptions were made up of tonifying and nourishing yin medicine(補陰藥物) in the serious cases of diseases.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to understand the meaning and the yin-yang properties of the six qi and the three yin and three yang as well as to understand the relationship between the six qi and the three yin and three yang. Methods : As the concept of six qi is the six climatic influences after all, I tried to grasp the yin and yang properties of the six qi on the basis of the meteorology and Yun Qi theory. Based on this I studied the concept and properties of the three yin and three yang. Results and Conclusions: (1) Among the six qi, cold and heat refer to temperature, dryness and dampness to humidity, and wind and ministerial fire to atmospheric pressure. Wind is an ascending air current while ministerial fire is a descending air current. Therefore, wind, heat, and dampness are the yang, and ministerial fire, dryness, and cold are the yin. (2) Three yin and three yang represent changes of ying and yang of all things following six qi changes. Simple deviation of qi can be described by yin and yang, but consequent changes in form required further developed concepts of three yin and three yang. In other words, the changes of the form caused by wind, heat, and dampness are namely reverting yin, lesser yin, and greater yin respectively, while the changes of the form caused by ministerial fire, dryness, and cold are expressed as lesser yang, yang brightness, and greater yang respectively.

This paper aims to present a model of obesity and leanness based on eum, yang, ki and blood metabolism of Korean medicine. I analyzed the theory of eum, yang, ki and blood metabolism, yang transforming ki and eum forming the body on Korean medicine, and compared them with energy homeostasis by anabolism and catabolism of modern medicine. In the eum and yang theory, the metabolic process of the human body is dominated by synergism and antagonism between eum force and yang force. When the balance of eum and yang collapses, all the pathological actions of the human body appear, and in the eum and yang metabolic process, an imbalance between yang transforming ki and eum forming the body occurs. The function of yang transforming ki is reduced to ki deficiency, and the function of eum forming the body is increased to blood excess. When blood excess and ki deficiency is given, energy intake increases, energy expenditure decreases, overweight and obesity occur. On the contrary, the function of yang transforming ki is increased to ki excess, and the function of eum forming the body is decreased to blood deficiency. When ki excess and blood deficiency is done, energy intake decreases and energy expenditure increases, the body becomes leanness. When the balance of eum, yang, ki and blood metabolism collapses and becomes blood excess and ki deficiency, overweight and obesity occur, and when ki excess and blood deficiency is done, the body becomes leanness. The energy homeostasis of the human body can be explained by eum, yang, ki and blood metabolism of Korean medicine and it contains the concept of anabolism and catabolism of modern medicine.

In terms of the bolt-leaf-hanges in Three-yum and Three yang I referd to successive medical books and many recent literatures on the basis of Huangjenegeong Somun Treatise on the Darting and meeting of Yin and yang, thus considerd concept of successive commentators about the bolt-leaf-hanges in Three-yum and Three yang and reconstructed and systeamtically arranged the bolt-leaf-hanges's interrelationship, yum-yang's relation and movement of six chnnel, and then studied there trinciple in all the universe apply the body and the process is operated by the bolt-leaf-hanges in the trinciples followed in human make his life adaption environment. The process is operated by the bolt-leaf-hanges in Three-yum and Three yang. The trinciples followed in. Firstly, Three-yum and Three yang is not dirrerentiate by many, middle, little of yum-yanggi's different function & role. Secondly, Three-yum and Three yang is negatively related white showing that there is the bolt-leaf-hanges relationship through space of Three-yum and Three yang. Through internal relationship of Three yum channel & Three yang channel, it can be proven that Three-yum and Three yang is in negative relation and through achieving the bolt-leaf-hanges relation in dimensional concept, it can be proven that it can actually be applied to human. Thirdly, by showing Three-yum and Three yang's the bolt-leaf-hanges relation is relation between Three yum & Three yang as well as negative relation, it can be shown that Three-yum and Three yang's the bolt-leaf-hanges activity is circular, and that it maintains itself through appropriate transformation. Fourth, understanding of Three-yum and Three yang's the bolt-leaf-hanges relationship and yum-yang Concern & six channer's activity has been varied. It means that the understanding is affected by socity, philosophical & research culture of the various times. The purpose has been to systematically arrange and diagnosing Three-yum and Three yang's the bolt-leaf-hanges and thus make up a fundamental for recognition. But, further study should be carried out on medical explanation on the bolt-leaf-hanges and interpretation and operation of the bolt-leaf-hanges in O-UnYukKiron.

The SangHanIlJeGeum(傷寒-提金) explain the six channel of disease. The Greater Yang controls the construction and defence, and governs the exterior of the body, which serves as the body's external barrier. Accordingly, many of the signs associated with greater yang appear in the early stages of disease. The essential features of greater yang disease are a pulse that is floating, headache, stiffness and pain of the head and nape, heateffusion, and aversion to cold. The main feature of Yang brightness disease is yang hyperactivity and heat exuberance. An evil can directly enter the yang brightness channel from the exterior, but it usually passes into the channel from the greater yang. Yang brightness disease is generally characterized by generalized heat effusion, spontaneous sweating, aversion not to cold but to heat, and a pulse that is large. Distinction is made between a heat patter and a repletion pattern.

The symptoms that have same pathologic pattern written in the chapter of Soyangin's general pathology of the book 'Dongyi Soose Bowon' can give us a key to the Dr.Lee Je-Ma's point of view about the constitutional pathophysiology. As the result, Dr. Lee called the person who has yang-hyperactivity/yin-hypoactivity as So-Yang-In. And the Soyangin has two basic pathologic pathway ; excess of Yang-hyperactivity/excess of Yin-hypoactivity. Each pathologic pathway has variatons though, the pathologic pattern results in above two type. Excess Yin-hypoactivity has three variations of pathologic pattern. 1. smaller excess of Yin-hypoactivity with the normal range of Yang-hyperactivity 2. larger excess Yin-hypoactivity with the excitation of Yang-hyperactivity by the extrinsic factor 3. smaller excess Yin-hypoactivity with the loss of Yang-hyperactivity. And excess Yang-hyperactivity also has three variations. In my point of view, CVA, Hematemesis, Vommiting, Abdominal Pain, Gastric Dyscomfort has No.3 type and Asthmatic condition, Dysentery, Edema has No.1 type.
