2014년 근로환경조사 데이터 분석 (2014 Korea Working Conditions Survey Data Analysis)

  • Change in labor time is affecting occupational safety and health. Recently reduction in labor time brought innovational operation method, investment in plant and equipment, and flexible labor time in some companies, thereby affecting working conditions for labourers. However, working conditions for some vulnerable social groups have deteriorated. As a result, they are becoming more exposed to risk factors such as injury and emotional stress. In this study we use 2014 KWCS data in order to find the social and demographic characteristics in Korean working conditions. To this end, we use exploratory data analysis approach to find the relationship between some of the important variables in the KWCS data. We also use Press-State-Response model to find which group of people are vulnerable to Press and State. We find that women, people over age 50 and business owners are more vulnerable to Press and State than men, people below age 50 and wage workers.

용인지역 일부 실업계 고등학생의 아르바이트 여부에 따른 영양지식, 식습관, 식생활 지침 실천도 비교 (Comparison of Nutritional Knowledge, Dietary Habits, and Practice Level of Eating Behavior Guidelines Between Part-Time Working and Non-Working Adolescents Attending a Vocational High School in Yongin, Gyeonggi-Do)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate nutritional knowledge, practice of eating behavior guidelines, and problematic dietary habits in working high school students in comparison with non-working high school students. A survey questionnaire was formulated to obtain information on demographic variables, body size, part-time jobs, nutritional knowledge, practice of eating behavior guidelines, and dietary habits. The developed questionnaire was given out to 515 students attending a vocational high school in Yongin, Gyeonggi-Do. Those who had been working 5 hours or more per day for at least a month at the time of survey administration were defined as working students for this study. Proportions of working students were similar between male and female students (i.e. 49.5% for male, 50.5% for female). No significant difference was found in scores of nutritional knowledge between working ($8.43{\pm}2.29$) and non-working students ($8.60{\pm}2.19$). However, some dietary habits were found to be dependent on working status. While approximately 43% of non-working students reported skipping a meal, about 57% of working students did so (p<0.01). The proportion of students with any drinking experience was significantly higher among working students (92%) compared to non-working students (80%) (p<0.001). Working students were found to drink alcoholic beverages more often than non-working students (p<0.001). The mean score of practice of eating behavior guidelines was lower in working students than non-working students. The magnitude of this difference was modest ($51.33{\pm}0.63$ in working students, $53.40{\pm}0.51$ in non-working students), but reached statistical significance (p<0.01). Based on the findings from this study, it is suggested that specific behavior-oriented messages to improve certain problematic dietary habits need to be directed toward working high school students.

유연근무제도가 기혼여성의 일-가정 갈등 및 촉진, 직무만족에 미치는 영향: 패널분석 방법을 이용하여 (The effects of flexible work arrangements on work-family conflict and facilitation, and job satisfaction for married working women: A longitudinal analysis)

  • This study analyzes the effects of the three types of flexible work arrangements (part-time, flexitime, and reduced working hours for childcare) available in Korea on work-family conflict, facilitation, and job satisfaction for married working women ages 15-49. The study employs a panel analysis based on the first to the fourth data from the Korean Longitudinal Survey of Women & Families (KLoWF). The major results are as follows. First, the availability of part-time jobs and reduced working hours to facilitate childcare is significantly related to work-family conflict for married women. If a married woman is employed in a part-time position or if reduced working hours for childcare are available, the conflict within the family caused by the job is reduced. Second, none of the three types of flexible work arrangements have a statistically significant influence on work-family facilitation for married women. Third, the availability of reduced working hours for childcare has a positive effect on the job satisfaction of married women. In conclusion, flexible working hours for women who are raising children are the main factor in reducing the negative effect of a job on a woman's family life as they contribute to work and family compatibility.

치과기공실(齒科技工室)의 작업공정별(作業工程別) 소음(騷音)에 관한 연구(硏究) (A Study on the Noise by working Process in Dental Laboratory)

  • Degree of noise by personal dental laboratory working process and degree of noise by complex dental laboratory working process were measured separtely. The time of exposure to noise greater than 70dB was analyzed. Then, the whole degree of noise in dental laboratory was estimated on the basis of afore-mentioned information. Questionaire were employed to investigate the mental, emotional and physiological effects of noise in dental technicians, The purpose of this study was to provide basic information on keeping dental techneicans who are exposed to noise pollution in good working condition and good health. Results obtained are as follows ; 1. Polishing process in each working part showed high degree of noise greater than 70dB in terms of degree of noise by personal working. 2. Degree of noise by complex working process in each working part was greater than that of personal working process. 3. Time of exposure to noise complex working process the part of porcelain 150min, partial denture 120 min, crown and bridge 100 min, full denture 80 min. 4. Degree of noise by time in dental laboratory was 80dB in general for polishing process and below 75dB for waxing process. 5. Effects of noise on mental and emotional state of dental technicians showed that they felt irritated every day(14%), irritated once in a while(29%) and easily ger mad(19%). 6. Effects of noise on heart and stomach were hyper-gastric acid(38%), gastric ulcer(11%), gastritis(5%), deuodenal ulcer(3%) and weak heart function(32%). 7. Effects of noise in the hearing ability were weak(39%), moderate(33%) and normal(14%) Data presented in this study demonstrated that noise in the dental laboratory exerts profound effect on dental technicians mentally, physiologically and emotionally, in light of the above results, therefore, it appears advisable to devots substantial on the management of working condition and put further(continuing) efforts in the investigation for reducing noise problem.

임도공사시(林道工事時) 굴삭기(掘削機)를 이용(利用)한 토공작업(土工作業)의 공정분석(工程分析) (Performance Analysis of Earth Work Using Excavator in the Case of Forest Road Construction)

  • 임도공사지의 토공작업을 대상으로 $0.8m^3$용량의 굴삭기와 $1.0m^3$굴삭기를 사용하여 임도시공시 토공작업의 작업시간, 작업능률, 그리고 작업능률에 영향을 미치는 임도의 선형요소를 분석하였다. 1일 작업시간은 평균 8시간 23분으로 조사되었고, 총작업시간(Total working time) 중 순수작업시간(Net working time)이 85.7%, 여유시간이 14.3%로 조사되었으며, 순수작업시간(Net working time) 중 흙 운반(St)과 절토(Ec)의 비율이 38.6%와 32.5%를 차지하는 것으로 나타났다. 작업능률을 분석한 결과, $0.8m^3$용량의 굴삭기로 토사지역에서 작업을 한 경우 직선부의 작업능률이 곡선부보다 약 1.4배 높은 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 직선부에서 $0.8m^3$용량의 굴삭기로 작업을 수행한 경우 버켓을 이용한 토사작업의 능률이 브레이커를 이용한 암작업의 작업능률보다 약 9.1배 높은 것으로 나타났다. 토사지역에서 $0.8m^3$$1.0m^3$용량의 굴삭기로 작업을 수행한 결과, 직선부와 곡선부에서 $1.0m^3$용량의 굴삭기가 $0.8m^3$보다 약 1.3배의 작업능률을 보였다. 그리고, 토사지역에서 $0.8m^3$용량을 굴삭기를 대상으로 작업능률과 이에 영향을 미치는 임도의 선형요소를 분석한 결과, 곡선반지름, 노폭, 사면경사가 작업능률에 크게 영향을 미치는 것으로 조사되었으며, 벌채된 지장목의 벌근경과 본수는 작업능률에 거의 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 조사되었다.

광주·전남 병리과에 근무하는 임상병리사들의 상지 근골격계 자각증상에 관한 연구 (Research on the WRMD (Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders) in Medical Technologists Who Work in Gwang-ju City and Jeollanam-do Province)

  • The main purpose of this study was to investigate relationship between WRMD (Work Related Musculoskeletal Disorders) symptoms and dangerous factors in medical technologistes who work in Gwang-ju city and Jeollanam-do province. Experimental group was 74 medical technologistes at hospital centers, hospitals, general hospitals, university hospitals. From the this survey, we found that significant statistical difference in WRMD symptoms by general characteristics (sex, exercise) and working environmental characteristics (examination numbers, time of margin, repetition, intensity of work, time of using PC). In the general factors, Odds ration in male vs female, do exercise vs do not exercise were 4.557 (95% CI=1.003-20.713), 2.747 (95% CI=0.59-12.783). In working environment factors, Odds ration in little of examination numbers vs a lot of examination numbers, little of time margin vs a lot of time margin, non repetitive vs repetitive, non intensity of work vs intensity of work, little of pc using time vs a lot of pc using time were 1.901 (95% CI=0.828-4.363), 1.15 (95% CI=0.335-3.944), 3.952 (95% CI=1.095-14.262), 1.411 (95% CI=0252-7.891), 2.606 (95% CI=1.055-6.437) respectively. For prevention of WRMD symptoms, Most of hospitals should improve medical technologists of working circumstances, especially control a intensive of work, working speed and guarantee enough break time. Therefore, This study suggests that increasing workers and examination of automation, streching during working be needed.

벌목작업(伐木作業) 표준화(標準化) 연구(硏究) (Studies on the Standardization for Logging Operation)

  • 본(本) 연구(硏究)는 침 활엽수에서 몇 수종(樹種)을 선정하여 독일(獨逸)의 표준화(標準化)된 작업방법(作業方法)과 우리나라 임업생산(林業生產)에서 실제(實際) 이용(利用)되고 있는 작업방법(作業方法)을 비교(比較) 연구(硏究)하여 우리의 실정에 맞는 표준화(標準化)된 작업방법(作業方法)을 확실하게 구명(究明)하여 임업경영(林業經營)에서의 생산비용(生產費用)(인건비(人件費)) 절감(節減)과 아울러 산림작업(山林作業)의 성력화(省力化)에 효율적(效率的)으로 적용(適用)하고자 한다. 1. 두가지의 작업방법(作業方法)을 비교(比較)한 결과(結果) 동일한 작업조건(作業條件)에서 순수작업(純粹作業) 소요시간(所要時間)은 별 차이(差異)가 없었다. 2. 수종별(樹種別) 순수작업시간(純粹作業時間)을 요소작업별(要素作業別)로 분석(分析)한 벌도(伐倒)와 절동시간(切棟時間)은 침엽수종(針葉樹種)보다 참나무가 더 많은 시간소요(時間所要)를 보여 주는 바, 이는 재질이 단단함 때문인 것으로 판단되며, 조재시간(造材時間)은 참나무보다 침엽수종(針葉樹種)이 시간소요(時間所要)가 더 많은 것은 침엽수종(針葉樹種)이 참나무에 비하여 가지수(NOB)가 더 많기 때문인 것으로 나타났다. 3. 종합적(綜合的)으로 볼 때 작업시간(作業時間)은 보통 흉고직경(胸高直徑) 1cm가 증가하면서 작업방법(作業方法)에 따라 약간의 차이는 있으나 11-13초가 증가(增加)되었다. 4. 이 결과(結果)로부터 각기 다른 두 작업방법(作業方法)에서 작업(作業)에 소요(所要)되는 시간(時間) 차이(差異)는 거의 없어 우리나라에서도 독일(獨逸)에서 이용되고 있는 1인1조 작업방법(作業方法)으로 전환(轉換)할 것을 추천(推薦)하며, 앞으로 인건비(人件費)의 상승(上昇)과 산촌(山村)의 인력난(人力難)으로 인하여 점차 어려워지는 실정에 있어 현 시점에서 작업원(作業員)의 기능교육(技能敎育)을 확대실시하고 동시에 이와 같은 표준적(標準的)인 작업방법(作業方法)을 적용(適用)하여 생산성(生產性) 향상(向上)을 도모(圖謀)해야 한다.

아버지의 자녀양육참여와 자녀양육시간 (Fathers' Parenting Participation and Time)

  • The actual time fathers spend in childcare has not increased much in spite of recent attention paid to nurturing their children and changes in the fathers' role. In this study, parenting time is measured by time spent in childcare, shared housework, and shared leisure. In this way, this study seeks to analyze trends in fathers' time spent with children and the factors that influence fathers' participation in parenting. The data source for this study was the 2009 Korean Time Use Survey. The main results of this research are as follows: First, when measuring childcare time as a primary activity, fathers' time spent in parenting averaged 17 minutes on weekdays and 32 minutes on Sundays. This extended to 44 minutes on weekdays and 166 minutes on Sundays when including the secondary childcare time and the shared time with their children while doing housework or leisure. Second, fathers' probability of participating in childcare was higher for fathers who had shorter working hours, younger children, higher spouse average monthly income, and a college or higher education level. The variable that influenced fathers' participation in shared housework on weekdays was working hours. On Sundays, the variables were working hours, age of the youngest child, and the type of occupation. Fathers' participation in shared leisure was influenced by father's working hours, number of children, age of the youngest child, and type of occupation on weekdays. On Sundays, it was influenced by working hours and the age of the youngest child.

일-가정 균형감과 행복도 : 영유아기 자녀를 둔 기혼취업여성을 중심으로 (A study of balance between work and family, and of happiness: focused on working women with preschool-aged children)

  • This study investigates the balance between work and family, and the happiness of married working women who have preschool-aged children. Data were collected from 321 questionnaires that consisted of three parts: 1) basic demographic variables, 2) family-life variables, and 3) working-life variables. SPSS 21.0 was used for the statistical analysis. The variables that were identified to have a statistically significant impact on the balance between work and family were income, age of first child, time spent on housework and childcare on weekdays, time spent on housework on weekends, family-friendly service in the workplace and flexibility of work schedule. 2) The variables that were identified to have a statistically significant impact on happiness were age, income, time spent on housework on weekends, satisfaction with spouse's participation in housework and childcare, average working time, family-fiendly service in the workplace, flexibility of work schedule, and balance between work and family. The majority of the variables that influence balance between work and family, and happiness related to aspects of work, such as family-fiendly service, flexibility of work schedules, and average working time. The results also found that the load of housework and childcare on weekends is a heavy burden for working women. Further research needs to focus on developing the extending index of happiness including the measure of balance between work and life. In addition, further studies with more varied groups need to be conducted.

비효율적 업무문화와 경력단절의도와의 관계에서 일-가정 전이의 매개효과: 전일제 기혼 여성근로자를 대상으로 (The Mediation Effect of the Work-Family Spillover between Full-time Married Working Women's Inefficient Working Culture and Career Interruption Intention)

  • 본 연구는 전일제 기혼 여성근로자의 비효율적 업무문화와 경력단절 의도의 관계에서 일-가정 전이의 매개효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 매개효과의 검증은 일-가정 전이를 이루는 하위요인인 일-가정 갈등과 일-가정 촉진의 두 측면으로 구분하여 검증하였다. 이상의 목적을 수행하기 위하여 한국의 30-50대 전일제 기혼 여성 근로자 총 281명을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시한 후, 위계적 회귀분석을 이용하여 매개모형을 검증하였으며 본 연구의 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 비효율적 업무문화와 경력단절 의도 간에 일-가정갈등은 부분매개의 역할(partial mediation)을 하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 비효율적 업무문화와 경력단절의도 간에 일-가정 촉진 역시 부분매개효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 후속 연구에서는 일-가정 전이에 대한보다 세분화된 관련 요인들을 지속적으로 탐색하고, 이들 변인들이 전일제 기혼 여성근로자들의 경력단절의도에 미치는 영향에 대한 다각적인 연구가 필요할 것이다.
