조선소 도장작업 노동자 유기용제 노출과 일간 변이 (Characteristics of Workers'Exposure Concentration and Daily Variations to Organic Solvents in Shipbuilding Painting Processes)

  • Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the characterization of organics solvent exposure among painting workers in the shipbuilding painting process, especially for their daily variations(within worker variance). Methods: Charcoal passive dosimeters were worn throughout each work shift for 20 days for five painting workers from October 19 to November 26, 2015. A total of 100 samples were collected, analyzed and compared with statutory workplace environmental measurements. Results: The geometric mean(GM) and geometric standard deviation(GSD) of mixed organic solvent(six substances) exposure index(EI) for the 100 samples were 0.42 and 4.42 respectively. The median and range of GSD for within worker EI representing five workers' daily EI variation is 3.72 and 2.63 ~ 5.20, respectively, which is classified as a very large variation(GSD>3). We were able to divide the painting process into two similar exposure groups(SEGs), Touch-up and Spray. Spray painting workers were much more exposed to organic solvent than Touch-up painting workers(GM=0.71 vs. 0.19), but less variably (GSD=3.64 vs. 4.10). xylene is the substance to which the workers were most exposed(GM=16.19 ppm, GSD=4.36), and the exposure characteristics of six substances including xylene is similar to those of EI. Conclusions: The daily variation of organic solvent exposure in the shipbuilding painting process is so high that statutory Assessment of Reliability of Work Environment Monitoring needs to be conducted with statistically sufficient number of samples and evidence.

학습과 망각에 대한 작업자들의 이질성 정도가 시스템 생산성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Worker Heterogeneity in Learning and Forgetting on System Productivity)

  • Incorporation of individual learning and forgetting behaviors within worker-task assignment models produces a mixed integer nonlinear program (MINLP) problem, which is difficult to solve as a NP hard due to its nonlinearity in the objective function. Previous studies commonly assume homogeneity among workers in workforce scheduling that takes account of learning and forgetting characteristics. This paper expands previous researches by considering heterogeneous individual learning/forgetting, and investigates the impact of worker heterogeneity in initial expertise, steady-state productivity, learning and forgetting on system performance to assist manager's decision-making in worker-task assignments without tackling complex MINLP models. In order to understand the performance implications of workforce heterogeneity, this paper examines analytically how heterogeneity in each of the four parameters of the exponential learning and forgetting (L/F) model affects system performance in three cases : consecutive assignments with no break, n breaks of s-length each, and total b break-periods occurred over T periods. The study presents the direction of change in worker performance under different assignment schedules as the variance in initial expertise, steady-state productivity, learning or forgetting increases. Thus, it implies whether having more heterogenous workforce in terms of each of four parameters in the L/F model is desired or not in different schedules from the perspective of system productivity measurement.

정보다양성 수용 정도가 종업원 태도에 미치는 영향 : 상사소통 및 동료소통의 조절효과 (The Effect of Informational Diversity-Sensitive Orientation on Employee Attitudes : The Moderating Effects of Supervisory Communication & Co-Worker Communication)

  • 본 연구는 정보다양성 수용 정도와 종업원 태도간의 관계에서 조직 내 대인간 소통의 긍정적인 조절효과를 규명하고자 하였다. 최근 전 세계적으로 조직 내 다양성이 증대되고 있는 상황에서 국내 조직에서도 인적구성의 다양성이 심화되고 있다. 따라서 조직 내 다양성 관리를 어떻게 하느냐에 따라 조직성과에 미치는 영향이 달라질 수 있다. 기존 다양성 연구들은 객관적인 다양성 특성의 분산에만 초점을 맞추고 있기 때문에 혼재된 연구결과들을 도출하고 있다. 본 연구는 기존 다양성 연구들의 불일치된 연구결과들을 극복하기 위해 구성원들이 다양성을 어떻게 지각하는지에 대해 관심을 두고자 하였으며, 이를 위해 정보다양성 수용 정도라는 변수를 활용하였다. 분석을 위해 국내기업에 종사하는 301명의 조직구성원들을 대상으로 위계적 회귀분석을 활용하여 가설을 검증하였다. 분석결과, 정보다양성 수용 정도는 직무만족과 조직몰입에 정(+)적인 영향을 미쳤다. 소통의 조절효과에서는 동료와의 소통에서만 긍정적인 조절효과가 검증되어 소통 유형에 따라 변수들에 미치는 영향력이 다름을 확인하였다. 연구결과를 토대로 연구의 시사점과 향후 연구방향을 제시하였다.
