대기 조건에 따른 공랭식 응축기 성능 저하 개선 연구 (Study on Performance Improvement Air Cooled Condenser Considering Ambient Condition)

  • 공랭식 응축기(ACC, Air Cooled Condenser)는 공기를 냉매로 이용하여 저압 스팀을 응축하는 설비로써 사막이나 내륙 등 물이 부족한 지역에서 주로 사용된다. 공랭식 응축기의 성능은 풍속이나 대기온도와 같은 외기 조건에 의해 크게 영향을 받으므로 성능 저하 개선을 위해 여러 장치들이 설치된다. 본 연구에서는 풍속에 의한 ACC 성능 변화를 확인하고 윈드 스크린에 의한 성능 개선 효과를 분석하기 위해 CFD 해석을 수행하였다. CFD 는 질량 보존, 운동량 보존 등 미분방정식을 차분방정식으로 변환하여 검사 체적에 대해 속도, 온도 등을 계산하는 기법이다. 풍속이 3m/s 에서 7m/s 로 상승할 때, ACC 에 설치된 팬 공급 유량은 약 15.76% 감소하며 ACC 유입 공기 온도는 $5.55^{\circ}C$ 증가한다. 윈드 스크린을 적절히 설치한 경우, 풍속이 7m/s 이고 윈드 스크린이 설치되지 않은 경우에 비해 팬 공급 유량이 약 5.18% 증가하며 ACC 유입 공기 온도 상승은 $2.08^{\circ}C$ 감소하는 효과가 있다.

  • This paper presents a pitch controller which can hold output power constant at the rated value. Although wind turbine contains complicated nonlinearities, its behaviour within a certain operating range of a point can be approximated by that of a linear model. By doing so, we can apply rather simple and systematic linear control techniques such as PID and LQR(Linear Quadratic Regulator) to design a linear pitch controller. Because these linear controllers are valid only in a sufficiently small range around an operating point, linearized wind turbine model under the condition of varying wind speed needs a linear pitch controller can achieve the aims of tracking the rated rotor rotational speed. We propose an improved linear pitch controller taking each merit of LQR and PI controller under the condition of varying operating points in this paper.

  • This paper present stabilization control of fixed speed wind generator by using variable speed permanent magnet wind generator in a wind farm connected with multi-machine power system. A novel direct-current based d-q vector control technique of back to back converter integrated with Fuzzy Logic Controller for optimal control configuration is proposed, in which both active and reactive powers delivered to a power grid system are controlled effectively. Simulation analyses have been performed using PSCAD/EMTDC. Simulation results show that the proposed control scheme is very effective to enhance the voltage stability of the wind farm during fault condition.

풍력발전에 적합한 기본풍속 연구 (Study on Basic Wind Speed Suiteable for Wind Power Development)

  • The wind farm where the wind velocity condition is excellent and economical can be established to produce power with the multiple wind power turbine. The wind velocity which is suitable to Wind Power Development must be evaluated for searching the economical wind farm on planning the wind farm. In this paper, based on wind speed data at 24 locations in Korea from 1971 through 2009, the basic wind velocity which can be applied to designing wind power development is estimated using the statiscal process. The wind velocity which is measured from observation stations is revised according to wind gauge's height and Circumferential environment. The wind speeds for 200 year's return period in 24 locations are determined using the Gumbel's distribution.

도시 협곡에서 유입류 풍속과 난류 슈미트수에 대한 대기오염물질 확산의 민감도 연구 (A Study on Sensitivity of Pollutant Dispersion to Inflow Wind Speed and Turbulent Schmidt Number in a Street Canyon)

  • In this study, sensitivity of inflow wind speed and turbulent Schmidt number to pollutant dispersion in an urban street canyon is investigated, by comparing CFD-simulated results to wind-tunnel results. For this, we changed systematically inflow wind speed at the street-canyon height ($1.5{\sim}10.0m\;s^{-1}$ with the increment of $0.5m\;s^{-1}$) and turbulent Schmidt number (0.2~1.3 with interval of 0.1). Also, we performed numerical experiments under the conditions that turbulent Schmidt numbers selected with the magnitude of mean kinetic energy at each grid point were assigned in the street canyon. With the increase of the inflow wind speed, the model underestimated (overestimated) pollutant concentration in the upwind (downwind) side of the street canyon because of the increase of pollutant advection. This implies that, for more realistic reproduction of pollutant dispersion in urban street canyons, large (small) turbulent Schmidt number should be assigned for week (strong) inflow condition. In the cases of selectively assigned turbulent Schmidt number, mean bias remarkably decreased (maximum 60%) compared to the cases of constant turbulent Schmidt number assigned. At week (strong) inflow wind speed, root mean square error decreases as the area where turbulent Schmidt number is selectively assigned becomes large (small).

Aerodynamic effects of subgrade-tunnel transition on high-speed railway by wind tunnel tests

  • The topography and geomorphology are complex and changeable in western China, so the railway transition section is common. To investigate the aerodynamic effect of the subgrade-tunnel transition section, including a cutting-tunnel transition section, an embankment-tunnel transition section and two typical scenarios for rail infrastructures, is selected as research objects. In this paper, models of standard cutting, embankment and CRH2 high-speed train with the scale of 1:20 were established in wind tunnel tests. The wind speed profiles above the railway and the aerodynamic forces of the vehicles at different positions along the railway were measured by using Cobra probe and dynamometric balance respectively. The test results show: The influence range of cutting-tunnel transition section is larger than that of the embankment-tunnel transition section, and the maximum impact height exceeds 320mm (corresponding to 6.4m in full scale). The wind speed profile at the railway junction is greatly affected by the tunnel. Under the condition of the double track, the side force coefficient on the leeward side is negative. For embankment-tunnel transition section, the lift force coefficient of the vehicle is positive which is unsafe for operation when the vehicle is at the railway line junction.

The aerostatic response and stability performance of a wind turbine tower-blade coupled system considering blade shutdown position

  • In the strong wind shutdown state, the blade position significantly affects the streaming behavior and stability performance of wind turbine towers. By selecting the 3M horizontal axis wind turbine independently developed by Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics as the research object, the CFD method was adopted to simulate the flow field of the tower-blade system at eight shutdown positions within a single rotation period of blades. The effectiveness of the simulation method was validated by comparing the simulation results with standard curves. In addition, the dynamic property, aerostatic response, buckling stability and ultimate bearing capacity of the wind turbine system at different shutdown positions were calculated by using the finite element method. On this basis, the influence regularity of blade shutdown position on the wind-induced response and stability performance of wind turbine systems was derived, with the most unfavorable working conditions of wind-induced buckling failure of this type of wind turbines concluded. The research results implied that within a rotation period of the wind turbine blade, when the blade completely overlaps the tower (Working condition 1), the aerodynamic performance of the system is the poorest while the aerostatic response is relatively small. Since the influence of the structure's geometrical nonlinearity on the system wind-induced response is small, the maximum displacement only has a discrepancy of 0.04. With the blade rotating clockwise, its wind-induced stability performance presents a variation tendency of first-increase-then-decrease. Under Working condition 3, the critical instability wind speed reaches its maximum value, while the critical instability wind speed under Working condition 6 is the smallest. At the same time, the coupling effect between tower and blade leads to a reverse effect which can significantly improve the ultimate bearing capacity of the system. With the reduction of the area of tower shielded by blades, this reverse effect becomes more obvious.

입력변수의 조건에 따른 대기확산모델의 민감도 분석 (Sensitivity Analysis of the Atmospheric Dispersion Modeling through the Condition of Input Variable)

  • In order to how well predict ISCST3(lndustrial Source Complex Short Term version 3) model dispersion of air pollutant at point source, sensitivity was analysed necessary parameters change. ISCST3 model is Gaussian plume model. Model calculation was performed with change of the wind speed, atmospheric stability and mixing height while the wind direction and ambient temperature are fixed. Fixed factors are wind direction as the south wind(l80") and temperature as 298 K(25 "C). Model's sensitivity is analyzed as wind speed, atmospheric stability and mixing height change. Data of stack are input by inner diameter of 2m, stack height of 30m, emission temperature of 40 "C, outlet velocity of 10m/s. On the whole, main factor which affects in atmospheric dispersion is wind speed and atmospheric stability at ISCST3 model. However it is effect of atmospheric stability rather than effect of distance downwind. Factor that exert big influence in determining point of maximum concentration is wind speed. Meanwhile, influence of mixing height is a little or almost not.

  • Two kinds of static and dynamic state estimation methods are newly discussed for the problem of the measurement disturbance of environmental low-frequency noise in the presence of wind-induced noise. First, the probability characteristics of wind-induced noise are discussed in the form of probability distribution conditioned by wind speed, based on the simultaneous observation of the wind-induced noise and wind speed near a microphone. Next, especially form the viewpoint of simplicity for practical use, two kinds of static and dynamic state estimation methods are discussed. The static estimation method using the information on wind speed is fundamentally supported by the conservation principle of energy sum. The dynamic one is the method by using a recursive digital filter with the parameters successively renewed by the information on wind speed. This can be also simplified by using well-know Kalman filter under the assumption of the Gaussian distribution. The effectiveness of proposed two estimation methods are shown through experiments under a breezy condition in the open filed.

그린에너지 활용을 위한 소형풍력발전기의 효율 특성 (Generation Efficiency Characteristics of Small Wind Power for Green Energy Utilization)

  • 점차적으로 지구의 화석연료가 고갈됨에 따라, 효율적인 에너지 저장과 함께 그린에너지에 대한 기술과 수요가 절실히 요구된다. 풍력에너지는 현재 세계에서 가장 빠르게 확장되는 에너지원이다. 하지만 엄청난 가격의 대형풍력발전기 설치비와 정격풍속인 12 m/s 이상을 요구하는 상황에 따라 내륙에서의 풍력발전의 설치는 어려운 상황이다. 따라서 위의 문제를 해결하기 위하여, 저풍속에서도 발전가능한 소형풍력발전기를 실험하고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 내륙에서의 풍황조건을 분석하고, 300 W와 1 kW 용량의 소형풍력발전기를 옥상에 설치한 후, 그들에 대한 발전효율 특성을 비교하였다.
