The development and implementation of airconditioner control system for peak load clipping (하계 피크전력 감소를 위한 냉방기제어시스템 개발 및 적용)

  • The rapid growth of air conditioning load has become a main reason of peak load increase in summer. In connection with this, we surveyed the load management projects of utilities world wide and their detailed activities. This study is to develop a remote load control system using computer and radio communications. We finished the field-test of this system on August 1995 in Seoul area. During the field-test, the remote load control of air conditioners was proved to be well-timed. Two control modes, group control and all control, are available for the user to select. The transmission reliability of the load control signal was very good and the functions of system hardware as well as the software were excellent. So we confirmed the applicability of the load control system including the pager communication network. In this paper, detailed information on the system functions and experimental results are described.

  • Many studies make us difficult for understanding the specific concept of NOW avant garde by misusing avant garde or by using the over wide-ranging concept. The purpose of this study is to define the concept of NOW avant garde fashion by analyzing its fashion and its paradigm characteristics, after considering modern avant garde fashion history. This study was used with bibliographic research as well as internet search of qualitative method for analyzing fashion show clothes since 2005 women's wear. The characteristics of NOW avant garde fashion are classified into plural deconstructivism, econonism that integrates the last avant garde factors with logical economics, and the aesthetic of Tech-Human. To conclude, the concept of NOW avant garde fashion is defined as the fashion expressing either the digital-hybrid images or the deconstructive images meaning elimination, unification or confinement, being pilled up one on another, bizarre connection, transposition, and distortion.

  • A wide class of networking application services, such as video teleconferencing, VOD, LAN bridging, and distributed data processing require multipoint communications. The essential component inteh network to achieve this is a multicast packet switch which is capable of packet replication and switching. In this paper, we propose an efficient mukticast addressing scheme using the smallest number of routing bits which is deterministic lower bound. The new scheme performs all point-to-multipoint connection in radix-2 tree ATM switch like banyan network. Also, we provide a simple radix-2 switch block diagram for achieving our algorithm. And we investigate several addressing schemes for implementing multicasting in radix-r tree ATM switch and evaluate several performance factors, such as complexity of the additional header bits, requirement of the internal speedup and complexity of the major hardware.

Call Blocking Probabilities of Dynamic Routing Algorithms in B-ISDN Networks

  • In this paper we apply routing algorithms in circuit switched networks to B-ISDN networks and investigate the performance. B-ISDN supports a wide range of services with hetrogeneous bandwidth requirements. We assume that the network supports D classes of traffic. It is modeled as a finite D dimensional Markov chain. A call is blocked on arrival if the required bandwidth is not available on the route. The shortest path routing, alternate routing and trunk reservation are considered for performance comparison. We also consider trunk reservation with restricted access control where the network reserves certain amount of bandwidths for one class of traffic that assumes a higher transmission priority. Through the method of successive iterations, we obtain the steady state equilibrium probabilities and call blocking probabilities for dynamic routing. The results can be used to design a B-ISDN network that improves network connection availability and efficiency while simultaneously reducing the network costs.

  • The wave power plant is a generating system to convert the wave energy resources to electric energy. ´CHUJEON A´, which is a prototype of wave power plant developed by KORDI(Korea Ocean Research and Development Institute), has been launched for its performance test. A wound rotor induction machine is adopted as a generator for the power plant to acquire constant frequency and voltage over wide range of rotor speed. Because the generator of ´CHUJEON A´ has no connection to the power grid line on land, all of the processes to generate and consume the electricity have to be conducted on the floating plant.   • High-tech industries in a state well enough to troubleshoot hacking information introduction a big barrier to delay the growth of the market related to IoT(Internet of Things) as is likely to be on the rise. This early on, security issues introduced in the solution, a comprehensive solution, including the institutional laws/precautions needed. Recent examples of frequent security threats while IoT is the biggest issue of introducing state-of-the-art industry information due to the vulnerable security hacking. This high-tech industries in order to bridge the information responsible for the target attribute, target range, and the protection of security and how to protect the subject, IoT environment (domestic industrial environment) considering the approach is needed. IoTs with health care and a wide variety of services, such as wearable devices emerge. This ensures that RFID/USN-based P2P/P2M/M2M connection is the implementation of the community. In this study, the issue on the high-tech industrial information and the vulnerable security issues of IoT are described.

  • This paper summarizes full-scale test results on CFT column to flat plate connections subjected to gravity loading. CFT construction has gained wide acceptance in a relatively short time in domestic building practice due to its various structural and construction advantages. Constructing the floor as flat plate is often regarded as being essential for both cost savings and rapid construction. However, efficient details for CFT column to flat plate connections have not been proposed yet, and their development is urgently needed. Based on some strategies that include maximizing economical field construction, several connecting schemes were proposed and tested in this study. Test results showed the proposed connection details can exhibit strength and stiffness comparable to or greater than those of R/C flat plate counterpart.

  • The resistance of a structure against an earthquake is related to its ability to absorb the seismic input energy. The development of devices for dissipating the seismically induced energy on the structure is a subject that is receiving large attentionin the field of earthquake engineering. One example of these devices is the steel plate with slits. In this paper, a connection with a slit-type steel plate damper installed at each ends of wide-flange section beam, as an energy absorption element, was proposed. A series of experiment was performed to investigate their behavior and structural characteristic. The main parameters were the aspect ratio of the struts in slit plates, thickness of the struts and height of the vertical plates. Test results indicated that most of the energy was absorbed by plastic deformation of slit plate dampers.

  • Thermal comfort in the Rotunda which is high wide visiting space of the new national museum of Korea has been numerically investigated in this paper. To evaluate thor-mal comfort of the Rotunda, well-known indices, PMV and PPD were introduced. The results of present investigation show that thermal comfort is satisfied at the breathing zone of the visiting space. However a thermal stratification with $9^{\circ}C$ of temperature difference occurs along the height of the Rotunda which makes the thermal environment worse. For example, the PPD value reaches up to 50% in the 6th floor connection passage. Consequently, additional HVAC design factors should be considered in order to reduce the large thermal stratification.

  • An important problem to be carried into a plan on the occasion for introduction of TQC is to establish the clear-cut policy and workable system on QC. In connection with escalation the product liability in recent days, especially, a point to he considered in relation the real state of enterprise, it seems likely to be difficult an effective performance without distribution of the definite duality function to each departments in the company, and to define the quality function, it should be educed and coordinated under agreement organization wide participation and conciliation. In this paper, we have tried to have a more effective graft the European style QC on the oriental enterprise, by means of presenting a model that manages synthetically a way of deployment the fundamental factors affecting quality, and establishing the control subject in each function unit.
