고속열차 점착계수 향상을 위한 신규 복합재료 분말 마찰조절재 개발 및 점착력 특성 평가 (Development of Novel Composite Powder Friction Modifier for Improving Wheel-rail Adhesion in High-speed Train)

  • With the recent remarkable improvements in the average speeds of contemporary trains, a necessity has arisen for the development of new friction modifiers to improve adhesion characteristics at the wheel-rail interface. The friction modifier must be designed to reduce slippage or sliding of the trains' wheels on the rails under conditions of rapid acceleration or braking without excessive rolling contact wear. In this study, a novel composite material consisting of metal, ceramic, and polymer is proposed as a friction modifier to improve adhesion between wheels and rails. A blend of Al-6Cu-0.5Mg metallic powder, $Al_2O_3$ ceramic powder, and Bakelite-based polymer in various weight-fractions is hot-pressed at $150^{\circ}C$ to form a bulk composite material. Variation in the adhesion coefficient is evaluated using a high-speed wheel-rail friction tester, with and without application of the composite friction modifier, under both dry and wet conditions. The effect of varying the weighting fractions of metal and ceramic friction powders is detailed in the paper.

  • In the make-up product, Eye-shadow products have several purposes of enhancing product quality such as providing the beauty (variation of shape, clean appearance), feeling, continuity and adhesion. In this paper, newly developed wet type back injection press process is introduced so as to increase higher value products which providing various the beauty. The solvent takes an essential role to provide the fluidity of the powder bulk during the pressed-process of wet type pressed product. In this study, the effect of solvent in the oil binder was investigated, And the higher quality condition of the wet type pressed product was built to apply cosmetic preparation. Firstly, the system was designed powder phase as non treated pigment. The oil binder phase is categorized as hydrocarbons(Mineral oil, Squalane), Silicones(Methicone, Dimethicone ), esters (Octyldodecanol, Octyl Dodecyl Myristate). The solvent phase used was C 7-8 isoparaffin and Isopropyl Alcohol. The interaction of oil binder and solvent is investigated by measuring mass of final oil binder and the each solubility parameter. It was found that the higher the solubility the higher the degree of change in the final composition of the oil binder. In order to maintain the quality of the final product, the solvent used in pressed-process should be hydrophobic with oil binder.

  • This study of concrete movement confronting a scope inspects the problems about the waterproofing method and leakage/repairement at present and research the mechanism with the variety of applying examples introducing adhesion and inflation using the flexible type of waterproofing and repairement and the substitution method developed with polymer resign composite. The polymer resign transmitted into adhesion or inflation materials under wet environment absorbs adjoining moisture, wraps impurities of concrete surface. get the waterproofing layer and concrete surface adhere toughly, reorganizes the impaired waterproofing layer and get over the detachment of it from concrete surface.

  • Recently, water treatment facility is usually eastablished in underground, and waterproofing and anti-corrosion materials for concrete structures applied water treatment tank is developing in various ways. However, as the limit of research focused on durability improvement of top coating material, it is insufficient to study on the adhesion strength between the concrete surface and primer. Therefore, there is to confirm the adhesion of between concrete surface and the three primers used as anti-corrosion waterproofing materials, and to investigate the properties of adhesion strength according to the condition such as wet codition and water pressure condition of the concrete surface in this study.

  • In aqueous ecosystems, the level of toxicity is highly responsive dependant to multiple variables, including rainfall, sunlight, pH, adhesion, etc. Because Korea has particularly distinct wet and dry seasons, the toxicity of pollutants in rivers or streams is dependant on the sampling season and time. In order to examine the effects of rainfall on toxicity, sediment samples were collected from five sites along the Keumho river. It was found that Microtox toxicity levels were generally higher during the dry season than the wet season. It indicated that river pollutants are carried off more quickly by the water during the wet season. As a result, it was recommended that the point sources of pollutants of the Keumho river would be placed between KH3 (Paldalgyo) and KH4(Keumhogyo), KH4(Keumhogyo) and KH5(Dasa).

  • For obtaining the best panel quality of color filter on array(COA) architecture in TFF LCD, we investigated the influence of deposition temperature, $O_2$ flow, thickness on the optical transmittance, wet etching and adhesion properties of IZO deposited onto each color photo resist(red, green, blue). Average transmittance of the pixel single layer in the visible range(between 380 and 780nm) was mainly affected by thickness and showed maximum at 1250 ${\AA}$ while the thickness showing peak transparency in each R, G, B wavelength was different. The relation was calculated by using bi-layer transmission and reflectance model, which corresponded to experimental data very well. The adhesion of IZO deposited on each color PR was found to have enhanced value except red PR case, compared to that of IZO which was deposited on $SiN_x$. Wet etching pattern linearity was decreased as the thickness increased. The thickness of IZO was one of vital factors in order to optimize overall pixel process for fabricating COA structure.

  • Recycled aggregate mortar contains plenty of calcium hydroxide to improve the strength of blast furnace slag, although the surface mortar made of recycled aggregate deteriorates adhesion to cement paste and blast furnace slag has a low initial strength. Therefore, this study assumes that the combination with both recycled aggregate and blast furnace slag will produce a better performance. The results of the experiment show that dry mortar made of recycled aggregate provides with higher strength than wet mortar does at the 3-day and 7-day age, while lower at the 28-day age. It indicates that a large amount of cement mortar made of dry recycled aggregate has deteriorated adhesion strength. The mixes with 30% and 50% of blast furnace slag and 50% and 75% of recycled aggregate provide with much better strength at the 7-day age, although they usually have latent hydraulic property at the 28-day age. It indicates that calcium hydroxide($Ca(OH){_2}$) in recycled aggregate has affected ground granulated blast furnace slag.

  • This study was carried out to discuss feasibility of high density polyethylene(HDPE) as a new substitute for the conventional adhesives in plywood manufacture. Plywood was composed of radiata pine(Pinus radiata) and Malas(Homallium feotidium) veneers and bonded by HDPE. Adhesion characteristics and anatomical scanning has been examined through tensile-shear strength test and scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The results are as follows; 1. Optimum loading quantity was 15g/$(30.3{\times}30.3)cm^2$, and tensile-shear strength increased with the increase of loading quantity. 2. Even at the hot pressing time of 1 minute, tensile-shear strength met the value of KS(over the 7.5kgf/$cm^2$), and tensile-shear strength increased with the increase of hot pressing time. 3. Plywood composed of veneer at moisture content of 19.6% showed similar tensile-shear strength to that at air conditioned moisture content of 11.4%. 4. Under the same condition of hot pressing time, tensile-shear strength of plywood bonded by HDPE met the KS value of boil and wet test and proved the same group as phenol formaldehyde adhesive. 5. HDPE films showed mechanical adhesion through penetration into the lathe check and ray of veneer.

  • AC 코로나와 DC 코로나 처리 효과들을 비교하기 위해 선행연구의 DC 코로나 처리 조건들과 같이 폴리에스테르 직물들을 전류세기 5, 10, 15 A로, 공급속도 5, 10, 15 m/min로 AC 코로나 처리하였다. 이들의 표면변화를 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 X-ray 광전자분석기(XPS)로 확인하였고, 또한 물리적 성질의 변화를 건조 시와 습윤 시의 접착강도를 통하여 측정하였다. 대기압에서 AC 코로나 방전처리에 의해 폴리에스테르 직물의 표면변화는 DC 코로나 방전과 유사한 경향을 보였다. 일반적으로 AC, DC 코로나 처리 양쪽에서 건조 시의 접착강도는 전류세기와 공급속도가 증가할수록 증가하였으나, 습윤 시의 접착강도는 전류세기가 증가할수록 공급속도가 감소할수록 증가하였다. 전류가 20 A일 때 DC 코로나 방전에서는 탄화가 발생하였으나 AC 코로나에서는 탄화가 발생하지 않았다.

키토산 처리포의 황토염색에 관한 연구 (The Effect of Chitosan Treatment of Fabrics on the Natural Dyeing using Loess)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of chitosan treatment on the dyeing of cotton fabric specimens using loess as colorants. The wet pick up ratio of the chitosan acid solution, as well as the drying condition after the padding of the fabric specimens, was changed in order to study the loess uptake on the fabric. The average particle diameter of the loess was measured. Main components of the loess were $SiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, and $Fe_2O_3$. By the chitosan treatment, the loess amount on the cotton fabric increased. 80% wet pick up ratio of the chitosan acid solution on the cotton fabric specimen allowed more stable and even adhesion of the loess on the fabric surface, compared to the cases of 100% and 120% wet pick up ratio.
