  • For modified gravity models with screening mechanisms, the signal of modified gravity is larger at low density areas. We could add a density weighted mark to galaxy correlation function and increase the signal to noise of modified gravity detection. Based on mock galaxy catalogs from modified gravity simulations, we try different mark functions and parameters to find the best choices for discreminating modified gravity from GR. In this talk I will present our marked correlation funciton results and discuss its advantages and disadvantages.

  • The main purpose of this paper is using estimates for character sums and analytic methods to study the mean value involving the incomplete character sums, 2-th power mean of the inversion of Dirichlet L-function and general Kloosterman sums, and give four interesting asymptotic formulae for it.

  • The paper compares the performance of some widely used Bayesian estimators such as Bayes estimator, empirical Bayes estimator, constrained Bayes estimator and constrained Bayes estimator by means of a new measurement under squared error loss function for the typical normal-normal situation. The proposed measurement is a weighted sum of the precisions of first and second moments. As a result, one can gets the criterion according to the size of prior variance against the population variance.

  • The combined estimator of inter- and intra-block estimators in incomplete block designs can be expressed as a weighted average of two location estimators. The weight should be between 0 and 1. However, the negative variance component estimate could result in the weight being negative or larger than 1. In this paper, we show that if two location estimators have symmetric unimodal distributions, truncating the weight to 0 or 1 accordingly improves the combined estimator under an arbitrary convex loss function.

  • In this study, various available meshless methods are briefly reviewed and the connection among them is investigated. The objective of meshless methods is to eliminate some difficulties which are originated from reliance on a mesh by constructing the approximation entirely in terms of nodes. Especially, focusing on Element Free Galerkin Method(EFGM) based on moving least square interpolants(MLSI), a new implementation is developed based on a variational principle with penalty function method were used to enforce the essential boundary condition. In addition, the weighted orthogonal basis functions are constructed to overcome disadvantage of MLSI.

  • A weight ω on the positive half real line [0, ∞) is a positive continuous function such that ω(s + t) ≤ ω(s)ω(t), for all s, t ∈ [0, ∞), and ω(0) = 1. The weighted convolution Banach algebra L1(ω) is the algebra of all equivalence classes of Lebesgue measurable functions f such that ‖f‖ = ∫0∞|f(t)|ω(t)dt < ∞, under pointwise addition, scalar multiplication of functions, and the convolution product (f ⁎ g)(t) = ∫0t f(t - s)g(s)ds. We give a sufficient condition on a weight function ω(t) in order that L1(ω) has a bounded approximate identity.

  • The ordinary least square (OLS) regression model is assumed that the relationship between distribution of longevity population and environmental factors to be identical. Therefore, the OLS regression analysis can't explain sufficiently the spatial characteristics of longevity phenomenon and related variables. The geographically weighted regression (GWR) model can be representing the spatial relationship of adjacent area using geographically weighted function. It also characterized which can locally explain the spatial variation of distribution of longevity population by environmental characteristics. From this point of view, this study was performed the comparative analysis between OLS and GWR model for ecological factors of longevity existing studies. In the results, GWR model has higher corresponded to model than OLS model and can be accounting for spatial variability about effect of specific environmental variables.

  • Let $(B, \left\$\mid$ \right\$\mid$)$ be a real separable Banach space. Let $(\Omega, F, P)$ denote a probability space. A random elements in B is a function from $\Omega$ into B which is $F$-measurable with respect to the Borel $\sigma$-field $B$(B) in B.

  • Using a special property of Bloch functions with Hardmard gaps and using the geometric properties of the self maps of the unit disc, we give a way of constructing explicit examples of Bloch functions f whose derivative is in $H^p$ (0 < p < 1) but $f \notin BMOA$.
