As structure-borne sound, the floor impact sound is one of the serious noises in residential building. Most of heating system applied to the typical Korean residential building is floor heating system which is called ondol. The ondol usually consists of finishing material, mortar with heating coil, light-weight aerated concrete and reinforced concrete. This study focused on the isolation of heavy-weight impact sound and modification of mortar and light-weight aerated concrete. Specifically the glass foam aggregate was added on light-weight aerated concrete. Also, water-cement ratio and amount of cement on mortar were revised. The sound pressure level of heavy-weight impact was measured in reverberation chamber using both bang-machine and impact ball. The size of specimen was 1 m by 1 m. Substitution ratio of glass foam aggregate on light-weight aerated concrete shows relationship with heavy-weight impact sound pressure level. In addition, heavy-weight impact sound pressure level was decreased with increment of water-cement ratio and amount of cement on mortar.
This experiment was to study the relationship between shoot and root system in perennial ryegrass at different stages of growth. The results are summarized as follows; 1. The dry weight of shoot was significantly correlated with the dry weight of root at both stages of growth. 2. The yield components of shoot and root systems were changed by the stages of growth. Thus, the dry weights of shoot and root were positive correlated with the number of tillers and roots at 60 days after sowing. But, the dry weights of shoot and root were positive correlated with the dry weight of root, the dry weight of tiller, length of plant and length of root at 90 days after sowing. 3. Maprirna variety was obtained a higher dry weights of shoot and root at 60 days after sowing, but, Alta variety was obtained at 90 days after sowing, respectively. 4. The dry weight of shoot was positive correlated with leaf area at both stages of growth. 5. The dry weight of shoot was significantly negative correlated with specific leaf weight at 60 days after sowing, but positive correlated with specific leaf weight at 90 days afikr sowing. 6. The dry weight of root was smcantly positive correlated with leaf area at 60 days after sowing, but not recognized at 90 days after sowing.
This paper discussed the assessment of hand of polyester fabrics changed by alkaline hydrolysis. This study analyzed the relations between the change of mechanical property and the hand value according to the weight loss of polyester fabrics. The results are as follows; Objective hand by KES-FB system, revealed that for tensile properties, as the weight loss increased, WT, RT increased and LT decreased. For bending properties, as the weight loss increased, B and 2HB showed smaller values. For shear properties, as the weight loss increased, G, 2HG and 2HG5 decreased. For surface properties, as the weight loss increased, MIU increased, but MMD and SMD did not show any trend. For compression properties, LC, WC and RC did not show significant differences according to the degree of weight loss. In case of hand value, Koshi(stiffness), Hari(anti-drape stiffness), Kisimi(scrooping feeling) and Shinayakasa(flexibility with soft feeling) showed a meaningful results depending on the degree of weight loss. However, Shari(crispness) and Fukurami(fullness and softness) did not show meaningful result. Koshi, Hari and Shinayakasa are high correlation with tensile property, bendibg property shear properties, thickness and weight. Kisimi is high correlation with tensile property, bending property, thickness and weight. Shari, Fukurami and THV did not show any meaningful difference whth any mechanical properties.
Thinness has become a symbol for beauty acceptance and competence for women in our society especially for young college women. Relatively little is known about characteristics of women who are dissatisfied with their shape or weight and who are interested in performing weight control program. Four hundred college women in Seoul and Kyunggi-Do area were surveyed from November to December 1992 to investigate the relationship between the concern about weight control and various aspects of food related behaviors. The purpose of this research was to investigate the relationship between the weight concerns of college women and their aspects of several eating behaviors. Self-developed questionnaire was used after validity test. The results were as follows: 1) The average height weight and BMI value of subjects were 160$\pm$4.5cm 51.02kg and 19.86$\pm$4.5 respectively. 2) The 49% of subjects were highly concerned about weight control(high interest group) and 39% were moderate concerned(moderate interest group). 3) The average BMI and weight change per year were significantly higher in the high interest group than other groups. 4) The score of nutrition knowledge was also higher in the high interest group, 5) There were no significant differences among groups in the meal frequencies. and amount of nutrients intake. 6) The signs of eating trouble were found in subjects 59.0% of subjects felt feareness about weight gain after consumption of large amount of food. 7) The ratio of CPF was 64:14:22 and nutrient adquacy ratio(NAR) of energy was 0.94 NAR of Fe was 0.84 the other NAR of nutrient over 1.0.
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of DHEA with dexamethasone on body weight and wet weight and relative weight of atrophied hindlimb muscles induced by dexamethasone treatment. $200{\sim}225g$ Wistar rats were divided into control(C), dexamethasone(D), dexamethasone and DHEA(DDH) groups. Dexamethasone was injected daily at a dose of 5mg/kg. DHEA was administered daily at a dose of 5mg/kg by oral ingestion during 7days. The data were analyzed by Kruskal-Wallis test and Mann-Whitney U test using the SPSSWIN 9.0 program. Body weight and muscle weight of plantaris and gastrocnemius of dexamethasone group decreased significantly compared with that of control group. Muscle weight of plantaris of DDH group increased significantly compared with dexamethasone group. Body weight of DDH group decreased significantly compared to control group, but relative weight of plantaris and gastrocnemius of DDH group increased significantly compared to control group. Based on these results, it can be suggested that DHEA administration during dexamethasone treatment can be suggested that DHEA administration during dexamethasone treatment can increase weight of atrophied plantaris muscle induced by dexamethasone treatment.
Background: The purpose of this study was to investigate differences in balancing ability and weight bearing between paretic and non-paretic. Methods: Subjects of the study were consisted of 30 acute hemiplegia patients(paretic 15, non-paretic 15) who were receiving rehabilitation therapy in hospital. Weight shifting was quantitatively evaluated to determine the ability of patients to and during conscious weight shifting on the Gaitview. Independent t-test was utilized to detect the mean difference between the groups. Results: 15 patients with stroke were able to shift more weight onto the paretic leg. And pressure ratio of right hemiplegia was significantly difference on the nonparetic leg, pressure ratio of left hemiplegia was significantly difference onto the paretic leg. Conclusions: Patients with left hemiplegia who was cortical lesions in the right hemisphere were able to shift more body weight onto their paretic leg. These patients should be encouraged to practice shifting their weight towards their non-paretic leg to improve their balance.
Purpose: We aimed to examine the correlations between pregnancy experience and attitude regarding weight change during pregnancy. Methods: This correlative study was conducted from July 2017 to October 2017 by involving 156 primigravida women who were over pregnancy 20 weeks in Seoul and Gyeonggi-do province. Data were collected using a questionnaire, which included questions on demographic data, experience during pregnancy, and attitude regarding weight change during pregnancy. Descriptive statistics were calculated. Also, independent t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation coefficients were used for data analysis. Results: The mean age of the participants was 30.62 years and their score of attitude regarding weight gain during pregnancy was low. Moreover, a significant correlation was found between the pregnancy experience and attitude regarding weight gain during pregnancy in primigravida women. Conclusion: As a result of analyzing the correlation between pregnancy experience and attitude towards weight gain during pregnancy, it is apparent that attitudes toward weight change are different according to experience during pregnancy in women. Based on these results, it can be concluded that nursing intervention programs are necessitated to enhance the attitude of pregnant primigravida women towards pregnancy and weight gain.
Purpose: This study aimed to identify factors (biological, psychological, interpersonal, and contextual factors) associated with the weight bias internalization of the Korean girls in early adolescence. Methods: This study used a cross-sectional design. Data was collected from 233 girls aged 12~14 years with a self-reported questionnaire. With multiple regression analysis, the factors associated with the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence were analyzed. Results: Of psychosocial factors, fear to fat (anti-fat attitude) (β=.43, p<.001) was associated with the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence. In addition, attachment with teachers (β=-.11, p=.029) of an interpersonal factor and perceived socio-cultural pressure regarding weight control (β=.34, p<.001) of a contextual factor were associated with the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence. Conclusion: For releasing the weight bias internalization of the girls in early adolescence, decreasing anti-fat attitude and socio-cultural pressure regarding weight control should be primarily required through social efforts including community and school based interventions.

Depressive disorder is a very common disease, clinical manifestations vary, and the mechanism is not clear. Therefore, a pharmacotherapy is very important to achieve sufficient therapeutic effect, but the choice of drug is not easy due to the occurrence of side effects of treatment and confusion with clinical features. It is easy to overlook the side effects of weight gain with antidepressants compared with antipsychotics, but they are frequently observed in clinical settings. The first-generation antidepressants have higher weight gains than selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors. Serotonin norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors are observed to have less weight gain, and dopamine norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors have weight loss effect due to decreased appetite. Mirtazapine, an atypical antidepressant, has a strong histamine H1 blockade, and gains weight gain from short-term use. The effects of desvenlafaxine, vortioxetine, and agomelatin on weight, which have recently been increasing in use, have not been largely identified. For better compliance, studies on weight gain due to the use of antidepressants are needed.
