EXAMINING THE WAY OF PRESENTING RELIABLE INFORMATION ON WEB PAGE

  • Recently, Internet is used widely. Many Web sites, however, are not designed based on user's view. So, this research aimed at grasping the user needs and structure of Web site which user used easily. First, to grasp user needs, questionnaires about the motivation, the purpose and the evaluation items of Web page were done. As a result, we found the easiness for the user. Next, we made subjects operated test pages in which the number of classes and the amount of information were changed. We collected the quantitative data of the optimum number of classes, amount of information and retrieval time. As a result, there was a significant difference in each numerical value. The results of this research are available when constructing a web site. so, usability of Web site can be improved by them.

  • To help the blind to find the information easily on World Wide Web, this research has tried to develop the device which enables us to convert HTML for the general into HTML for the blind. This program consists of the items as follows: 1. Web Robot to gather the internet browser and the general HTML. 2. Restoring DB by Parsing process 3. Multimedia editor for the use of web DB to add the literal and acoustic description to the editing function. 4. Convertor which gathers the DB and then changes into HTML for the blind. This project is designed to make it easy for the manager to establish the web site for the blind. We expect that this program will basically help the blind to overcome the inequality in the common information.

  • The purpose of this study is to develope a web site of statistics closely related to real life in the information society and to analyze the achievement and the response of the students about WBI between the web based instructiongroup and the traditional instruction group after applied the developed web site. The conclusions drawn from the results of this study are as follows: First, as compared the web based instructionclass with the traditional instruction class there was a significant difference in the high class but not in the low class. And there was a higher level of the achievement in the web based instruction classes than the traditional classes. Therefore, it is certain that the achievement will not fall through the web based instruction is applied. Second, the results of the investigated response using the paper sheets in order to see the response of the students about the web based instruction is that there was a more effect related to the interest and understand of studying in the web based instruction than in the traditional instruction. As synthesizing these study results, there will be a positive effect on the mathematical achievement as well as the interest of students about mathematics if the web based instruction is properly used.

  • The structure of a Web site can prevent the search robots or crawling agents from confusion in the midst of huge forest of the Web pages. We formalize the view on the World Wide Web and generalize it as a hierarchy of Web objects such as the Web as a set of Web sites, and a Web site as a directed graph with Web nodes and Web edges. Our approach results in the optimal hierarchical structure that can maximize the weight, tf-idf (term frequency and inverse document frequency), that is one of the most widely accepted content centric measures in the information retrieval community, so that the measure can be used to embody the semantics of search query. The experimental results represent that the optimization model is an effective alternative in the dynamically changing Web environment by replacing conventional heuristic approaches.

  • Advances in information and communication technologies are changing our society greatly. In knowledge-based society, information can be obtained easily via communication tools such as web and e-mail. However, obtaining right and up-to-date information is difficult in spite of overflowing information. The concept of adaptive web site has been initiated recently. The purpose of the site is to provide information only users want out of tons of data gathered. In this paper, an algorithm is developed for adaptive web site construction. The proposed algorithm is based on association rules that are major principle in adaptive web site construction. The algorithm is constructed by analysing log data in web server and extracting meaning documents through finding behavior patterns of users. The proposed algorithm has the following characteristics. First, it is superior to existing algorithms using association rules in time complexity. Its superiority is proved theoretically. Second, the proposed algorithm is effective in space complexity. This is due to that it does not need any intermediate products except a linked list that is essential for finding frequent item sets.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of electronic trade's web site usability on the user satisfaction and customer royalty. In order to accomplish the purpose of this study, a research model was established and obtained the results as follows, First, navigation, information structure characteristic, communication has statistically significant effect on user satisfaction. It means users think more important the convenience, approachableness than web site design, visually menu to the information. Also, it represent communication with user is important factor to use web site. Second, user satisfaction has significant influence on customer royalty. This result signifies the user satisfaction of e-trade site is enhanced by support for convenience, reliability, smoothly communication and eventually affect thr revisiting intention of web site

  • This article purpose are on the variables of consumer's Doe sensitivity. Our result from sets of data indicate that the web site trust, the web site interactivity and the perceived risk have an effect on price search. Our result is as follows. First, the more trust the web site, the lower the price search. Second, the more interactivity of the web site, the lower the price search. Third, the greater the depth of information at the web site, the higher the price search. forth, the higher the perceived risk, the higher the price search. Fifth, the higher the knowledge of product, the higher the price search.

  • The research was to investigate the effect of quality cognition(usage, medical information, aesthetic, safety) of the web site of the facility on customer loyalty and moderating role of trust variable. The respondents was 201 patients and caregivers. Data were collected from March 1 to 31, 2010 at C university hospital in G city. In relationship between quality cognition of facility web site and customer loyalty, the results of quality cognition on customer loyalty showed 43.1% (F=36.912) in model 1, 46.3%(F=33.454) in model 2, and 46.8%(F=18.580) in model 3. In relationship between web site quality cognition and customer loyalty, moderate effect of trust was not considerable. As results, quality is the leading fact for customer loyalty more than trust. Therefore, customer loyalty leaves its possibility of increment when facility web site is designated depending on medical information, usage and aesthetic.

A study on the Effectiveness of Web sites of Food Services in Korea (국내 외식업체의 웹사이트 효율성에 관한 연구)

  • As a result of their web sites about 25 food services, it shows that only 20% of food services are conducting transactions online. As a whole food services in general have mastered the basics of setting up a web site, and it is revealed that some web sites with high average score are using flash s/w, which has a considerable interest in graphic. Family restaurant is the highest in average score and icecream is the lowest. The best individual site is Tonyromas site of Family restaurant sector, the second best site is TGI Friday's of the same Family restaurant sector, the third Pizzahut of pizza sector, and the fourth Lotteria site of Fast food sector. It is suggest that this preliminary study could be advanced by extending the sample size and a program of more extensive statistical analysis by devising. Also it is shows that it is possible for B2B transaction and B2C transaction to be conducted more actively It is suggested that Pizza(60%) and Icecream(40%) of food products which are small in size and easy to be ordered and delivered can be feasible and successful in transactions online. In conclusion, it is very important to keep the contents of web sites up-to-date and attractive to customers, and to establish several ways which can enable customers to interact with food services to induce a dialogue with customers, and it is necessary to introduce new technologies for specific differences of their own sites.

A Comprehensive Model for Evaluating Internet Web Sites (인터넷 웹사이트의 포괄적 평가모형에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose an analytical model for evaluating Internet Web sites, that is comprehensive and flexible enough to accomodate different categories of Internet Web sites. This paper is intended to identify critical success factors of Internet Web sites to determine criteria for evaluating the Web sites, and use the criteria to develop a framework for comprehensive evaluation of Internet Web sites. The framework consists of eight categories, including design, business functions, trustworthiness, interface, technology, community, contents, and others. An empirical study designed to validated the framework has been conducted for each of the three Web site categories, including (1) information provision, (2) product sale, and (3) customer service. The results show that ‘content ’ is the most important for information provision Web sites, ‘trustworthiness’for product sale Web sites, and ‘design’ for customer service Web sites. The framework may be used not only as a tool to evaluate Internet Web sites, but also as a checklist to improve the quality of a Web site that is under development.
