The popularity of web services within the IT industry continues to grow as the next generation web technologies. Web services are self·contained, self-describing, modular applications that can be published, located, and invoked across the Web. Web services will be core technology for e-business in the Web. IPv6 is sometimes also called the Next Generation Internet Protocol and is a new version of IP which is designed to be an evolutionary step from IPv4. In this paper, we define problems for adapting web services to IPv6 Environment. This paper survey and explain consideration issues that include standards, components, coexistence of IPv6 and IPv4, etc.

The 'convergence service' in NGN implies the integration of services in NGN with a unified manner to access each service in order to interwork with each service. This paper shows the convergence model for NGN based on Web Services and provides a detailed scenario of each convergence model in form of Web Services.

최근 웹 서비스 컴포지션이 많은 관심을 받고 있다. 웹 서비스 컴포지션을 통해서, 현재 존재하는 웹 서비스를 이용하여 저장소에 존재하지 않는 새로운 웹 서비스를 제공할 수 있다. 이 논문에서는 웹 서비스 컴포지션 검색을 구성하기 위해서 관계형 데이타베이스(RDBMS)를 사용한 PSR 시스템을 제안한다. 웹 서비스 컴포지션을 선 계산하기 위한 조인과 인덱스를 사용하는 알고리즘을 제안한다. 또한 웹 서비스에서 추출한 온톨로지 정보도 테이블로 저장하고, PSR 시스템이 이를 사용하여 온톨로지 매칭 정도에 따라 사용자 질의와의 유사도를 통한 결과를 반환하도록 하였다. 실험을 통하여 RDBMS 상에서 웹 서비스 컴포지션을 선 계산하는 접근 방법이 많은 수의 웹 서비스와 사용자 질의를 처리할 때 빠른 실행 시간과 좋은 확장성을 가지고 있음을 보였다.

최근에 많은 기업들은 XML 메시지 기반의 분산 환경에서 이기종 간의 표준으로 자리 잡고 있는 웹 서비스를 도입하여 B2C 뿐만 아니라 B2B에 거쳐서 기업과 기업간 비즈니스를 수행하고 있다. 그래서 웹 서비스의 도입이 성공적으로 이루어지기 위해서는 차별화된 서비스 품질을 보장해 주어야 한다. 하지만, 현재 대부분의 웹 서비스에서는 메시지에 대하여 차별화를 두고 있지 않으며, 기존의 웹 서버들은 웹 서비스제공자와 사용자간에 체결된 서비스수준 계약에 대한 품질 요소들을 적절하게 반영하지 못하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 차별화 서비스에 사용되는 응용 수준에서의 적합한 품질 요소를 분석하고, 이러한 품질요소를 이용하여 웹 서비스 메시지를 처리하는 프로세스에 대하여 우선순위를 할당할 수 있는 기법을 제안한다. 이 기법은 서비스 수준 계약을 최대한으로 만족시키기 위하여 동적으로 우선순위를 할당할 수 있다.

Recently Web Services choreography working group of W3C has published the working draft on WSCDL (Web Services Choreography Description Language) version 1.0 which defines reusable common rules to govern the ordering of exchanged messages between Web Services participants. This paper considers a computing environment where mobile clients are interacting with Web Services providers based on a WSCDL specification. In order to effectively cope with the user and device mobility of such an environment, in this paper we present an ongoing work to develop a framework through which a mobile client can specify its preference on how conversation should take place. The proposed framework provides a flexible means for mobile clients to minimize the number of message exchanges while allowing them to adhere to the required choreography.

With the rapid growth in the demand and supply of web service, the search for superior services has become a prominent issue. Furthermore, much emphasis and attention are being placed on composite web services, where individual services are combined together to form a single workflow to satisfy the demand of the customers. In today's era of excessive expansion of web services, this study intends to propose the execution plan architecture for composite web services to accomplish the following three goals. The first goal is to derive a feasible plan which maximize user satisfaction for composite web services by implementing an execution plan architecture that reflects the Quality of Service criteria. Secondly, this study also aims at analyzing and selecting the indexes that adequately reflects its quality and its nonfunctional property. Finally, this study intends to apply the concept of constraint satisfaction problem and heuristics to reduce the execution duration of the process.

웹 서비스와 SOA(Service Oriented Architecture)의 확산으로 웹 서비스 컴포지션의 대한 관심도 점차 커져가고 있다. 최근에는 보다 동적이고 지능적인 SOA 환경의 구축을 위해서 자동 웹 서비스 컴포지션에 대한 연구가 활발하게 진행되고 있다. 하지만, 아직까지 자동 웹 서비스 컴포지션에 관한 완전한 해결책은 제시되지 못하고 있으며, 기존의 연구에서는 여러 가지 문제점을 드러내고 있다. 문법적인 정보 기반의 자동 컴포지션은 잘못된 의미 연결로 인하여 컴포지션의 정확성을 떨어뜨린다. 또한 대부분의 연구에서는 추상적인 컴포지션 결과를 만들어내기 때문에, 실제로 실행하기는 어려움이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점들을 개선하기 위하여 웹 서비스 코레오그라피 기반의 자동 웹 서비스 컴포지션 시스템을 제안하고 있다. 제안하는 시스템에서는 컴포지션의 정확성을 향상시켰고, 보다 구체적인 컴포지션 결과를 만들어낼 수 있다.

Internet protocol television (IPTV), one of the most emerging services, offers multimedia streaming services with security, reliability, and relevant quality of service (QoS)/quality of experience (QoE). It provides added values to all the involving players and also brings technical and business challenges to them. For IPTV services, we expect to adopt the next generation network (NGN) environment for high quality and the Web technologies for personalization to meet the customer's necessity. Web can provide an open, flexible, and agile platform. Therefore, in this paper, we propose personalized IPTV services based on Web-based open platform in NGN environment and present functional architecture for Web-based personalized IPTV services. Technical issues for deploying the proposed IPTV services using Web are also provided. The objective of this paper is to analyze the critical architectural issues for developing viable and feasible networking platform models for personalized IPTV services.

This paper provides an economic evaluation model for public web services which are mainly operated by government agencies. Though there are various services, this paper focus on services for bottleneck problem solving and management information providing. This paper suggests quantitative and qualitative effects of public web services and evaluates them with I-NET users using e-mail surveys. This Paper mv provide a guideline for the future investment on public web services.

인터넷 기반의 서비스 지향적인 분산 컴퓨팅 패러다임으로 웹서비스(Web Services)가 관심을 끌고 있다. 웹서비스는 기업 애플리케이션 통합의 수단으로서 뿐만 아니라 기업 간 협업을 위한 연계 방식으로서도 주목받고 있다. 본 연구에서는 국내 기업이 웹서비스 기술을 제대로 이해하고 e-비즈니스 환경에 대처하기 위한 전략을 수립하는데 있어 기초자료로 활용할 수 있도록 우선 웹서비스를 구성하는 핵심 기술의 개요와 표준화 동향을 분석하여 정리하고. 관련 시장 현황과 전망을 제시하였다. 또, 국내 기업의 웹서비스에 대한 수요 및 그 이용 실태와 국내 웹서비스 관련 시장을 면밀히 분석해 보고, 이를 토대로 국내 기업과 정부에서 웹서비스를 도입하여 적용하기 위한 가이드라인을 제시하였다. 본 연구 결과를 활용하여 국내 기업들이 웹서비스 기술 동향을 적절히 파악하여 대처할 수가 있다는 점과, 범국가적 웹서비스 관련 시장 활성화를 위한 방안을 제시하였다는 점에서 본 연구의 의의가 있다.
