FINDING THE OPTIMUM DOMAIN OF A NONLINEAR WAVE OPTIMAL CONTROL SYSTEM BY MEASURES

  • We will explain a new method for obtaining the nearly optimal domain for optimal shape design problems associated with the solution of a nonlinear wave equation. Taking into account the boundary and terminal conditions of the system, a new approach is applied to determine the optimal domain and its related optimal control function with respect to the integral performance criteria, by use of positive Radon measures. The approach, say shape-measure, consists of two steps; first for a fixed domain, the optimal control will be identified by the use of measures. This function and the optimal value of the objective function depend on the geometrical variables of the domain. In the second step, based on the results of the previous one and by applying some convenient optimization techniques, the optimal domain and its related optimal control function will be identified at the same time. The existence of the optimal solution is considered and a numerical example is also given.

응축충격파와 경계층 간섭의 피동제어(II) (A Passive Control of Interaction of Condensation Shock Wave anc Boundary Layer(II))

  • A passive control of interaction of condensation shock wave / boundary layer for reducing the strength of condensation shock was conducted experimentally in a 2.5 * 8 cm$^{2}$ indraft type supersonic wind tunnel. The effects of following factors on passive control were investigated: 1) the thickness of porous wall, 2) the diameter of porous hole, and 3) the orientation of porous hole. On the other hand, the location of nonequilibrium condensation region and condensation shock wave was controlled by regulation of the stagnation conditions. Surface static pressure measurements as well as Schlieren observations of the flow field were obtained, and their effects were compared with the results the cases of without passive control. It was found that thinner porous wall, smaller porous hole and FFH orientation for the same cavity size and porosity of 12% are more favourable than the cases of its opposite.

월파형 파력발전구조물의 월파 특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study of Wave Overtopping Characteristics on the Structure for Wave Overtopping Power Generating System)

  • 연안으로 입사해 들어오는 파랑은 월파형 파랑제어구조물에 의해 증폭, 월파되어 구조물 배후의 유수지에 위치 에너지로 저장될 수 있으며, 수두차의 형태로 저장된 위치에너지는 초저낙차 수차 터빈을 통해 전기에너지로 변환될 수 있다. 본 연구는 이와 같은 월파형 파력발전에 있어서 주어진 입사파 조건에 대해 최대 월파 유량을 획득하는 월파형 파랑제어구조물의 최적 형상을 도출하기 위한 실험적 연구이다. 월파형 파랑제어구조물의 형상 도출을 위한 수조 실험은 삼차원 조파 수조에서 이루어졌으며, 평면 파랑 집중 형상을 가진 삼차원 구조물의 형상은 5가지의 종류로 제작되었다. 파랑제어구조물은 신과 홍(2005)에서 제안한 월파형 파랑제어구조물의 이차원 단면 형상을 토대로 수로폭 및 수렴각을 가진 삼차원 형상으로 확장한 것이다. 본 삼차원 월파실험에서는 20개의 입사파 조건과 각각의 파에 대한 $0^{\circ},\;15^{\circ},\;30^{\circ}$의 상대 입사각을 부여하여 계측된 월파량을 분석하였다.

  • In this paper, a hybrid stabilization approach involving both passivity observer/passivity controller and wave variables is addressed to stabilize a teleoperation system with fixed time delay. To guarantee the stability of master or slave side, passivity observer/passivity controller are applied. But, passivity observer/passivity controller cannot deal with communication delay, and thus even small communication delay cause the system to be unstable. To cope with this problem, wave variables are additionally employed to have robustness to fixed communication delays. To show the validity of our proposed approach, several computer simulation results are illustrated.

  • Today, there are research trends about the wearable sensor device that measures various bio-signals and provides healthcare services to user using e-Health technology. This study describes the wearable sensor glove using pulse-wave sensor, conducting fabric and embedded system. This wearable sensor glove is based on the pulse-wave measurement system which is able to measure the pulse wave signal in much use of oriental medicine on the basis of a research trend of e-Health system.

파랑에 의한 항내진동의 제어에 관한 실험적 연구 (Eaperimental Study on the Control of Harbor Oscillation due to Water Wave)

  • This study is to investigate harbor oscillation phenomenon according to combination of the wall structures by model experiment in a three dimensional wave basin. Six different types of wall combination were chosen through combination of erect wall, erect dissipation block, and sand beach, wave height at selected points in the harbor were measured by electronic wave gage. Test results show that the wall structure composed solely of erect walls showed generally highest harbor oscillation. Since natural beach shows lower reflection than erect dissipation block do, we thought it would be more efficient to use natural beach for improved harbor oscillation. The result showed, however, that the erect dissipation block are more efficient than natural beach to attain less harbor oscillation. The reason seens that the erect dissipation blocks have better capability to control breaking wave on the surface of the structure.

  • This paper presents the results of driving performance analysis of permanent magnet synchronous motor using a microprocessor based control system. The system consists of three phase power transistor inverters, three phase controlled rectifier, three central processing units, and sensors. The three CPUs are, respectively, used to generate PWM control signals for the inverter generating three phase sine wave, to generate the gate control signals for firing the converter, and to supervise other two CPUs. The supervisor is used to compute PI control algtorithm to three phase reference sine wave for the inverter. It is also used to maintain a constant voltage frequency ratio for the converter operating as a constant torque controller. The inverter CPU retrieves precomputed PWM patterns from look up tables because of computation speed limitations found in almost available microprocessors. The converter CPU also retrieves precomputed gate control patterns from another look-up tables. For protecting the control ststem from any damage by extraordinary over currents, the supervisor receives the data from current sensor, CT, and break down the CB to isolate the circuits from source. A resolver has a good performance characteristics of overall speed range, especially on low speed range. Therefor the speed control accuracy is impoved. The microprocessor based PM synchronous motor control system, thus, has many advantages such as constant torque characteristics, improvement of wave, limitation on extraordinary over currents, improvement of speed control accuracy, and fast response speed control using multi-CPU and look-up tables.

고립파(지진해일) 작용하의 수중방파제에 의한 파랑제어 (Wave Control by Submerged Breakwater under the Solitary Wave(Tsunami) Action)

  • 본 연구는 유체장에 대한 Navier-Stokes방정식과 자유수면을 효과적으로 추적할 수 있는 VOF법을 지배방정식으로 사용하는 수치파동수로를 적용하여 고립파(지진해일)에 대한 이열투과성수중방파제의 파랑제어기능을 수치적으로 검토한다. 고립파의 조파는 수치파동수로의 계산영역내에 설치된 수치조파기(내부조파소스)를 이용하였으며, 구조물에 의한 고립파의 파랑변형을 논한 기존의 연구결과와 본 해석결과를 비교함으로써 본 연구의 타당성을 확인하였다. 이로부터 일렬 및 이열의 투과성수중방파제에 의한 고립파의 파랑변형, 전달율, 반사율 및 에너지플럭스를 포함한 파동장의 변화를 수치시뮬레이션하였다. 비록 한정된 범위의 연구결과이지만, $h_0/h=0.925$($h_0$는 수중방파제의 천단고, h는 수심)를 갖는 이열수중방파제의 경우에 수중방파제 배치간격 $l/L_{eff}>0.4$(여기서, $L_{eff}$는 고립파의 유효거리)의 범위에서 입사파랑의 파고는 이열수중방파제에 의해 약 60%까지 감쇠되는 것을 알 수 있었으며, 일렬수중방파제에 비해 반사율이 약 47%정도로 증가하고, 전달율은 약 18%로 감소하였다. 따라서, 본 연구에서 고립파의 제어를 위해 처음으로 도입되는 투과성이열수중방파제는 일렬의 경우와 대비하여 경제적으로, 그리고 보다 효과적으로 고립파를 제어하는 것을 알 수 있었다.

파력발전시스템에 관한 기초연구(II) -파력발전기의 흡수파력 추정- (The Basic Study on Wave Energy Conversion System(II) -Estimation on Extracted Wave Power of Wave Energy Conversion Device-)

  • The results of previous works on the wave energy conversion do not seem to be satisfactory due to irregularity, and the non-linear hydrodynamic effect which is inevitably featured due to the structural complexity of the ocean wave energy conversion device. These may cause the difficulty estimating the extracted wave power. In this paper a study on estimating the extracted wave power and its ratio. The present authors have developed another method estimating the extracted wave power using the three dimensional source distribution method, which was turned out to be an improved one. It has been observed that the present results may be used for the control of the wave energy conversion device and the optimal design has been derived from the several case studies.

반사판을 이용한 밀리미터파 수동 이미징 시스템 연구 (Study Of Millimeter-Wave Passive Imaging Sensor Using the Horn Array Antenna)

  • 반사판을 이용하여 은닉물체 탐지에 적용이 가능한 밀리미터파 수동 이미징 시스템을 제작 하였다. 94GHz 중심주파수 대역에서 밀리미터파 센서와 밀리미터파 신호를 집속하기 위한 렌즈 및 반사판을 구동하기 위한 구동장치를 설계 제작하였다. 밀리미터파 센서로부터 출력된 DC 신호는 저역통과 필터를 거쳐 DC 증폭 후에 ADC/DAQ를 이용하여 디지털 신호로 변환된다. 컴퓨터에서는 디지털 신호의 영상처리를 통해 $18{\times}64$ 화소의 해상도로 밀리미터파 수동 이미지를 획득한다. 시험 결과 제작된 시스템을 이용하여 사람과 은닉물체의 감지 영상을 얻을 수 있었다.
