투습방수 나일론 직물의 기능성 부여가공에 관한 연구 (Improvement of Serviceability of Waterproof and Moisture-permeable Nylon Fabric)

  • Changes of the properties of waterproof and moisture-permeable nylon fabric were investigated when softener, anti-static agents, anti-biosis agents were added to the polyurethane resin solution, and when they were applied after resin coating. The adding method of finishing agents into polyurethane layer resulted in an increase in water permeability but a severe decrease in peeling strength. It was found that the desired functionality such as softness, anti-staticity, anti-biosis were successfully introduced into waterproof and moisture-permeable nylon fabric by after-treatment of finishing agents.

투습방수성 Polyurethane 나노섬유 Multi-Membrane의 제조 (Fabrication of Waterproof and Moisture-permeable Polyurethane Nanofiber Multi-Membrane)

  • Polyurethane (PU) was synthesized by one-shot process and the PU nanofiber was prepared by electrospinning. In this study, electrospun PU multi-membranes were prepared with various coating thickness ratio of base resin to top resin, where the base resin contains melamine curing agent and acid catalyst and the top resin contains water-repellent agent of fluoro-carbon compounds. The PU nanofiber multi-membranes were analyzed by field-emission scanning electron microscopy, differential scanning calorimeter, breathability, tensile strenth, air permeability and water resistance. The results showed that the PU multi-membrane provided excellent waterproof and moisture permeability.

군용 피복류의 투습도 시험방법 표준화 연구 (A Study on Standardization of Test Method for Water Vapour Permeability of Textiles Fabrics)

  • 군수품은 방한복을 중심으로 투습방수성 소재 적용이 확대되고 있다. 특히 혹한기에는 장병의 생존성 확보를 위해 피복의 투습방수 기능이 더욱 중요한데, 체온의 손실을 예방하기 위해 땀은 외부로 빨리 발산하고 외부의 수분은 인체로 침투되지 않도록 해야 하기 때문이다. 한편, 한국군은 투습방수 소재의 성능을 내수도와 투습도로 평가하고 있다. 투습도는 규정된 온도 및 습도 하에서 직물을 통과하는 수증기의 증발 양을 측정하는 것으로, 이 중 아세트산포타슘을 이용한 방법(KS K 0594)이 주로 적용되고 있다. 그러나 이 방법은 시약의 준비 절차가 간략히 제시되어 공인시험기관별로 시험에 대한 준비과정 등이 상이하게 적용되고 있으며 이로 인해 결과의 편차가 크게 발생되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 공인시험기관별로 아세트산포타슘을 이용한 투습도 시험의 절차를 비교하고, 결과에 영향을 미치는 인자를 분석하여 투습도의 차이를 없애기 위한 개선안을 도출한다. 개선안에 대해 공인시험기관별 투습도에 대한 결과의 차이를 분석하기 위해 유의수준(0.05)을 바탕으로 일원배치법으로 분석한 결과 투습도의 편차가 감소한 것을 확인하였다.

기능성 투습방수 코팅포의 수분 및 열전달 특성 (Moisture and Heat Transfer Characteristics of Waterproof and Water Vapor Permeable Coated Fabrics)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the thermal resistance and the liquid/vapor water transfer characteristics of four waterproof and water vapor permeable coated fabrics with the ground fabric called nylon taffeta. In order to establish the experimental environment, outdoor temperature and humidity in Taegu during the last three years were examined and the experiment was performed at (1) $15^{\circ}C$, 50% R.H., (2) $20^{\circ}C$, 60% R.H., (3) $25^{\circ}C$, 65% R.H., which were the average standards in spring and fall. The test results were as follows ; 1. Among physical parameters, the thinner the thickness was, the higher the water vapor permeability was. But the porosity in thickness was not proportional to water vapor permeability linearly. 2. The thicker the thickness of specimens was and the smaller the bulk density and porosity were, the higher the thermal resistance. And the results also shown that the larger the temperature difference between the environmental temperature and the hot plate was, the more the difference of CLO values was apparent. 3. Since the contact angle of all specimens are above $90^{\circ}$, the all specimens have a good performance in waterproof. The more the specimens surface were rough, the higher the thermal resistance was. 4. According to the result of performing moisture transfer test using the simulating body skin-clothing-environment system, the humidity sensor placed in between the fabric and the environment detected the full saturation in 10 minutes after the experiment had began at $15^{\circ}C$, 50% R.H. and in 15 minutes after the experiment both at $20^{\circ}C$, 60% R.H. and at $25^{\circ}C$, 65% R.H. 5. ${\Delta}$ values of the humidity sensors placed in between the human body and the fabric and in between the fabric and the environment fluctuated repeatedly within the range of $20{\sim}40%$ at $20^{\circ}C$, 60% R.H., and $15{\sim}30%$ at $25^{\circ}C$, 65% R.H.

폴리우레탄 디아크릴레이트의 미세다공성 UV코팅에 의한 PET 직물의 투습방수가공 (Breathable Waterproof Finish of PET Fabrics via Microporous UV Coating of Polyurethane Diacrylate)

  • Breathable waterproof PET fabrics were prepared by the UV coating of UV-curable polyurethaneacrylate(PUA) formulation mixed with polyethyleneglycol(PEG) as a water soluble pore former. The dispersed PEG in the UV-cured coating was extracted by warm water, which can generate individual circular pores uniformly distributed all over the coating instead of pore channels. Accordingly the moisture permeability of the microporously coated fabrics increased substantially with increasing PEG addition without significant reduction of hydrostatic pressure. Also the silicone diacrylate addition in the formulation was beneficial in increasing the hydrostatic pressure. The UV-based microporous coating can be an alternative to conventional thermal curing of solventborne polyurethane coating owing to the enhanced environment friendliness and energy saving.
