A Study on the Management & Utilization of School Drinking Water (학교음용수 관리 및 이용실태)

  • The purpose of this study was to obtain the basic data as a improvement method through the fact-revealing concerning the drinking water management of school and utilization of student. The problems of the research are as follows: First, to investigate status of management of drinking water by area and school. Second, to investigate student's utilization of drinking water by area and school. 1,400 students was selected at 45 elementary and middle-high schools located in Kang-won province, and this study was constituted of two questionnaires(for school's questionnaire and student's questionnaire). The results was analyse through the frequency analysis, $x^2$-test on the basis of the above research problem by SPSS program. The findings of this research are as follows; 1) The Management of School Drinking Water First, the source of school drinking water was mostly piped water. Inspection of water quality has been fulfilled under four times a year, in the other hands, from the result inspection, the schools which was given inadequate determination was 22.2%. Second, reservoir cleaning and hygiene inspection failed far short of the regulations. Especially, reservoir cleaning was managed by exterior consignment industry not low-level officials. Third, school water drinking was the most supplied through the type of water purifier. Water purifier has been distributed to city-located and middle-high school highly, factually the water from water purifier was served with water cup. Fourth, the selection standard of water drinking manager showed slightly differently by school, accordingly there need to develope integrated system with the respective to its effective systematic management. Fifth, water cup was mostly treated by only water clear, which is to vindicate the problems concerning hygiene management. 2) Utilization of school student on Drinking Water First, Disbelief on drinking water of school student was very high. Especially, proportion of middle-high school student's disbelief of drinking water was higher than elementary school student, also girls higher than boys. Many of student have heard to don't drink water from around people. And there were showed meaningful differences by area and school. Second, It was showed many student recognize had to utilize water purifier, boiled water. However, they have still drunken the tap water or portable water from their home. Third, Many of student showed negative response with the respective to the management conditions of drinking water in classroom, There were showed meaningful differences by area and school. From the fact-revealing of water cup management, Students mostly answered to 'only water clear' and the answer of 'None use' or 'With personal cup' was higher. Fourth, In bad experience of Drinking Water, student mostly answered to 'occasionally' and there were showed meaningful differences by school. student's disease experience with school drinking water was few and there were showed meaningful differences by area and gender.

  • In this paper, a real-time control system with Wi-Fi wireless communication was developed for dentistry Integrated Device. The control system is developed based on the Android platform using S3C6410 ARM core that is equipped with Wi-Fi communication, RS-485, Linux 2.6 and Android 2.0. The control system controls a water purifier, compressor and suction in real-time. The experimental results that the control system was controlled by each control modules connected with a water purifier, compressor and suction. The status values are displayed in real-time using RS485.

Wastewater Recycling from Electroless Printed Circuit Board Plating Process Using Membranes (분리막을 이용한 무전해 PCB 도금 폐수의 재활용)

  • Membrane process was investigated to recover process water and valuable gold from washing water of electroless PCB plating processes. The filtration experiments were carried out using not only a RO membrane test cell to determine suitable membrane for washing water but also spiral wound membrane modules of nanofiltration and reverse osmosis for scale-up. At first, RO-TL(tap water, low pressure), RO-BL(brackish water, low pressure) and RO-normal(for water purifier) sheet membranes made by Saehan Co. were tested, and the performance of RO-TL membrane showed most suitable f3r recovery of soft etching, catalyst and Ni washing waters. As a result of RO test cell, the experiments for scale-up were carried out using RO-TL modules far water purifier at 7bar and $25^{\circ}C $The permeate flux fur Au washing water was about 30 LMH, but Au rejection was less than 80%. The permeate fluxes for Pd, Ni and soft etching washing water were about 22, 17 and 10 LMH, respectively. The Pd, Ni and Cu rejections showed more than 85, 97 and 98% respectively. The nanofiltration module for water purifier was introduced to recover Au selectively from Au, Ni and Cu ions in Au washing water. Most of Ni and Cu ions in the feed washing water were removed, and only Au ion was existed 81.9% in the permeate. Furthermore, Au ion in the permeate was concentrated and recovered by RO-TL membrane module. Finally, Au was also able to recover effectively by using 4 inch diameter spiral wound modules of NF and RO-TL membranes, in series.

Study on Dangerous Factors and Damage Pattern Analysis of Leaking Water from Water Purifiers (누수가 발생한 정수기의 위험요소 발굴 및 소손패턴 해석에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this paper is to find dangerous factors of a water purifier when water leaks due to inappropriate use and analyze the patterns of damaged parts in order to provide data for the examination of the cause of the problem. If the water purifier is inspected and managed by a non-specialist, when the FLC(Float Level Controller) at the top is inclined, water leakage may occur to the water purifier. The leaked water flows onto the cables and hoses and enters the thermostat terminal, heater, PCB, power supply connection connector, etc., becoming a dangerous factor that may cause a system failure, fire, etc. Due to the water that entered the input terminal, low noise and white smoke were generated at first. However, the flame gradually propagated due to the continuous inflow of moisture. It was found that when moisture reached the PCB, a carbonized conductive path was formed at the varistor terminal, input terminal, semiconductor device terminal, etc., and the flame became larger, which might result in a fire. From the metal microscope analysis of a damaged condenser terminal, it was found that the amorphous structure unique to copper cable disappeared, and voids, boundary surface and disorderly fine particles occurred. Also, in the case of the connector into which moisture penetrated, fusion and deformation occurred at the cable connection clips. The result of analysis of the power supply cable connector using a thermal image camera showed that most of the heat was generated from the cable connection clips and the temperature at the connection center was normal.

  • Cambodia is a typical country that a very famous tourist destination in South Asian regions, but water has some serious problems. As a public hygiene point of view, water problems in Cambodia can be roughly classified into two categories. A numbers of the report revealed that thermotolerant coliform(TTC) bacteria and arsenic(As) pollution representative species as a representative pollutant for surface water and ground water problems, respectively. In recent years, home water purifier systems for various filter systems including BSF(Bio-Sand Filter), MF and RO have been spread and adopted in rural areas. However, BSF and composite membrane processes are recognized as an undesirable and representative method due to unreliable efficiency, high cost and maintenance issues. In order to develop a small-scale ceramic filter as a home water purifier, the applicability of two types of gravity ceramic filter using clay and red soil in the part of the Northwest was made and compared in this research.

Reduction Effect of Various Air Purifiers on Airborne Microorganism for Preventing Air Infected Animal Disease (공기감염성 가축질병 예방을 위한 공기청정기 유형에 따른 부유 미생물의 제거 효과)

  • The objective of this study is to evaluate reduction efficiency of various air purifiers on airborne microorganism causing air infected animal disease according to sample collection method. Collection efficiencies of MS2 virus and Pseudomonas fluorescens by biosampler was significantly higher than those by button sampler (p<0.05). Regardless of types of air purifier and sample collection method, temporal reduction efficiencies of MS2 virus and P. fluorescens compared to initial background concentration were >50% and >45% on 5 minutes, >70% and >50% on 15 minutes, >80% and >70% on 30 minutes and >90% and >75% on 60 minutes after operating air purifier, respectively. The air purifier of ionizer type showed the highest reduction efficiency on MS2 virus followed by air purifier of electronic precipitation, water filter and dry filter while the reduction efficiency of air purifier on P. fluorescens was highest in the electronic precipitation type followed by ionizer type, dry filter type and water filter type (p<0.05). Based on the results obtained from this study, temporal reduction efficiency of air purifier on MS2 virus was relatively higher than P. fluorescens.

A Study on the Improvement of Welding Method for Ice Evaporator (얼음증발기 용접방법 개선에 관한 연구)

  • The water purifier market has increased rapidly in recent years. The welding technology of the evaporator is a key component that determines the level of ice production and the cold water performance of an ice purifier. The finger type evaporator of an ice purifier can remove ice and is divided largely into an instant heat method and a hot gas method. In the hot gas type evaporator, particularly during the production process, the pinhole phenomenon inside the copper pipe and clogging problems occur intermittently when welding high-pressure pipes due to the high-temperature oxygen welding. Its use in a water purifier can cause a problem in that ice and cold water do not form, and repairs cannot be made on site. To solve this problem, in this study, a cap jig was applied to improve the welding defect of the hot gas evaporator. In addition, the oxygen welding flame size was adjusted so that the heat source could be well supplied to the cap jig, and the effectiveness was confirmed through a wave pressure test, a test, and a thermal shock test.

  • Individual sewage treatment system is classified into a sewage treatment system which treats all the domestic sewage and a water-purifier tank which treats only effluent flushing from the toilet. The number of registered manufacturers has increased rapidly since 2001. As a result, price competition has increased among the manufacturers and has caused the problems such as the inappropriate production of individual sewage treatment system, the unreasonable permit for building completion and the shortage of the professional technology of the community's public officials in charge. This study collected the problem cases that are related with existing individual sewage treatment system and operation. Efficient improvement plan for the stable supply, installation, maintenance of individual sewage treatment system were suggested.

Simultaneous Equation Bivariate Tobit Analysis of Bottled Water and Water Purifier Consumption Expenditures (생수 및 정수기 소비지출에 대한 이변량 토빗 연립방정식 분석)

  • This paper analyzes household bottled water and water purifier expenditures, taking into account three important characteristics: expenditures may be censored at zero, may be interdependent across expenditure type, and may be endogenously and jointly determined. Censoring, interdependence, and endogeneity of the two expenditures are examined through simultaneous equation bivariate Tobit model. Expenditure function parameters are estimated using a 1997 household survey data collected in Seoul. The study detected interdependence between the two expenditures in the data. Moreover, the coefficient of one expenditure variable is statistically significant in the other expenditure equation. Thus, the overall results show that the simultaneous equation bivariate Tobit model employed here is appropriate for this analysis of the two expenditures. Finally estimated income and household size elasticities of the expenditures are presented.

  • This paper CTQ(Critical to Quality) to draw, aim to derive a key quality factor reflects the customer's requirements by utilizing the QFD technique for sparkling water purifier device that combines the new module. Tasting participants, consumers and New Module device intended for developers who develop and conduct a survey and FGI (Focus Group Interview) VOC(Voice of Customer) to draw, drawn by the EC through the developer VOC and EC (Engineering Characteristic) and charts the relationship between the phases was prepared HOQ(House of Quality). Sparkling water purifier through the HOQ chart certain taste, sound, running water, CO2 cylinder replacement cycle, we obtain results that element is an important quality factors such as ease of use. These factors are closely related to each component regulators and Module device (mixing) associated with the taste of water, booster pumps, and deliver results that the solenoid is considered the most critical part.
