The development of the Internet and telecommunication technology has lead to the diversification of the distribution channel of movies. Internet users can easily watch movies through the Internet VOD(Video On Demand) theaters without a restriction of time and space. In this study, we try to understand the intention to use of internet VOD movies using the concepts of Technology Acceptance Model and Flow Model. We also consider the concepts of sensitivity of holdback period and availability of various choice in movie genre, along with demographic factors such as age and gender. Through our study we enhance our understanding on how and when users use the Internet VOD for their movie watching.
Today, each broadcasting station makes the best use of CG (computer Graphics), which is the latest technology in election broadcasting, and competes to attract the eyes of viewers. This paper investigated the history of CG technology and design transitions in election ballot counting broadcasts from the perspective of CG designers. From the 1980s, when computer-based election ballot counting began, to the full-scale use of virtual studios, the image and technology produced by CG while watching the ballot-counting broadcast video of general elections, presidential elections, and local elections. We analyzed the utilization from various angles. In Korea, we started with the EDDS (Election Data Display System) developed in-house, created a database using a computer, and introduced manual animation CG every day from that time. After that, broadcasting stations focused on diverse and gorgeous CG image competition, and CG images were expanded from 2D to 3D while technology and design developed together. From 1985 to 1992, Korean broadcasting can be seen as a transitional period in which the image changes due to the emphasis on information power while utilizing digital technology.

Multimedia technologies such as presentations, programs for watching a video, listening to audio, music and singing karaoke, electronic encyclopedias, and Internet resources are proven to be the most used in music education. They have several qualitative and quantitative advantages, manifested in the possibilities of audio-visual presentation of educational material and significantly higher information density. It is suggested to strengthen the use of such computer programs as Microsoft Word, Ahead Nero, Finale, Adobe Audition, Sound Forge, and Microsoft PowerPoint for musical art classes.
Objective: Physical activity can promote physical and mental well-being. University students are more sedentary recently due to the increased use of computers and other technology. The aim of this study was to investigate differences between immersive 360-degree virtual cycling (IVC) and virtual cycling with head-mounted display (VCHMD) on aerobic capacity and usability in young adults. Design: A crossover study. Methods: Twenty-five university students (13 male, 12 female) participated in this study and completed 2 separate 30 min cycling sessions, such as IVC and VCHMD. In the IVC, participants rode on a stationary cycle while watching curved TV where recorded video was played. To enhance the sense of realism, auditory stimulation was given to the headset, and the gyroscope sensor was used to track the screen as the head moved. In the VCHMD, participants rode on the stationary cycle with head-mounted display, and other conditions were the same as IVC. Participants were assessed the aerobic capacity which included gas analyzer and portable near-infrared spectroscopy, and usability which included simulator sickness questionnaire and system usability scale. Results: Aerobic capacity was significantly difference in the IVC compared with the VCHMD except for the total hemoglobin of right and left rectus femoris and muslce oxygen saturation of left rectus femoris (p<0.05). Cybersickness was less in the IVC than VCHMD and usability was high in the IVC than VCHMD (p<0.05). Conclusions: The findings suggested that IVC might be beneficial exericse to improve aerobic capacity and has lower cybersickness and higher usability than VCHMD.
Objectives : The purpose of this study was to investigate how the play habits, temperament, and environmental factors might affect childhood obesity. Methods : Two hundred sixty children, aged 4 through 6 years living in Seoul & Cheonan were surveyed by a questionnaire about the children's play habit and the parent's related factors such as weight, height, education, income. In addition the Korean version of the Parent Temperament Questionnaire for Children and the Korean version of the Family Environment Scale were also administered to parents of those children. The height and weight of those children were measured and the percentage of body fat was measured by Bioelectrical Impedance Fatness Analyzer. Result : 1) Among 260 children, 25 children were considered to be obese on the basis of both obesity index and percentage of body fat. 2) Parents of obese children showed a significantly higher educational level(p<0.05) and mothers of obese children had significantly more jobs(p<0.05) and showed higher body mass index(p<0.05) than those of nonobese children. 3) By observing play habits of children, obese children spent significantly longer time in watching TV and video(p<0.05), while nonobese children showed a trend to play outside(p<0.1). 4) On the Korean version of the Parent Temperament Questionnaire for Children, obese children showed significantly less activity than nonobese ones(p <0.05). 5) Family of obese children had significantly higher point on subscale of Achievement orientation, Intellectual-cultural orientation and Moral-religious emphasis of the Korean version of the Family Environment Scale(p<0.05). 6) Percentage of body fat of obese children was correlated with children's watching TV time, activity level, scores of Achievement orientation, Intellectual-cultural orientation of the Korean version of the Family Environment Scale and the both parent's education levels(p<0.05). Conclusion : Obese children showed hypoactivity and more watching TV time. And obese children's both parent had higher educational level and their mother had higher Body Mass Index and more jobs. Family of obese children had higher point on items of Achievement orientation, Intellectual-cultural orientation and Moral-religious emphasis. Family environmental factors influence on children's obesity through interaction of genetic and behavioral-psychological factors concomittently.

This study aimed to find out adolescents' media literacy in terms of reading, writing, and enjoying media or messages. For the purpose, we analyzed the data garnered from 1,036 students enrolled in 5 middle and 5 high schools, respectively. The analyses of the data are summarized as follows: First, mobile phone was most widely used among others, followed by TV, the Internet, mp3 player, computer or video game, radio, a video or DVD in the order. Second, a gender effect was significant in terms of the variety of activities with the Internet, mobile, and SNS: boys were more active in the use of the Internet while girls carried out more activities with a mobile phone and SNS media. Third, high school students showed more critical attitude towards information on the Website than did the middle school students. Fourth, Girls than boys, and high schoolers than middle schoolers, tended to be more active in the production of contents, self-expression, as well as participating in social and political issues online. Fifth, for the enjoyment experiences, time spent for games took up the most of the students' leisure activities, followed by watching TV and the use of the Internet. The findings of the study were discussed in light of media convergence, with implications for developing media literacy education for the youth.
Terrestrial broadcasters are devoting great efforts in order to increase sense of reality that would help viewers feel as if they were watching events on site by producing-depth, differentiated news and offering a variety of information to them. They maximize news video graphic effects by replacing news set and install large display units, rail camera, and Jimmy Jib camera. This study aims to grasp whether there is any difference among the main evening news of the three major terrestrial broadcasters. KBS, MBC, and SBS used 18%, 15%, and 12% of graphic usage hours respectively while the number of graphic usage cases amounted to 267, 329, and 276 for each of them. The number of cases where in-depth news report hours exceeded three minutes that require increasingly more virtual reality graphic technology production was 16 for KBS, 7 for MBC, and 5 for SBS. MBC showed the highest number of uses in graphics while KBS showed more graphic use hours than the other two. There have been a number of preceding studies on news contents, but it is significant that this study looked at how much graphics technologies are used in such news video contents.

The purpose of this study was to examine the phenomena that occurred when the students were practicing flip-learning lessons and to present the good points and the unsatisfactory points to improve the students' learning pleasure. Therefore, it is aimed to provide the basic data and the advantages and disadvantages which are needed to apply the flip learning method which is newly emerging recently to the university instruction. The method of this study was a questionnaire survey to understand the perception of flip learning. Based on the results of this study, the following conclusions are presented. First, the experience of flip learning instruction was first encountered by 50% of college students. Second, the students showed a very low tendency in practicing the flip learning instruction(video watching) the instructor intended. Third, college students have a habit of learning that they are not ready for pre-study of the subject. Fourth, the perception of flip learning lesson through the provision of video was highly positive. Fifthly, flip learning lessons have the advantage of being able to learn regardless of the time and place that they have, but they are not actively involved if they are not actually reflected in the test or grades. In conclusion, it was found that college students became accustomed to the incentive-style lessons due to the application of various learning techniques from elementary school age, making it difficult to participate in voluntary learning.
The mask dance drama Goseong Ogwangdae's first act, Mundung Bukchum. The story is about a man who was born to the upper class but contracted leprosy, an incurable disease, due to his ancestors' accumulated sin. Although he is suffering, he is able to triumph over the disease through sinmyeong (catharsis) that is expressed through the wordless act of Mundung Bukchum. This thesis focuses on Goseong Ogwangdae's Mundung Bukchum, particularly the meaning, costume, accompanying music, and process of pedagogical transmission. The chronological characteristics of Goseong Ogwangdae's Mundung Bukchum are as follows. First, as time goes on, the number of dance motions in Mundung Bukchum has increased and the motions used have become reified. Second, I address the small barrel drum used in Mundung Bukchum and check how, through the drum, the changed expression of Mundung is shown. In a 1965 video introduced Mundung is grasping the drum and stick and the dance appears to be made up only of humorous motions. Also in a 1969 video, "Mundung Gwangdae," from the start Mundung is grasping the drum and stick. In 1988 in a video we can see the same scene as today, with the drum and stick sitting in the center of the stage at the start of the dance. We can also confirm that the same fourteen dance motions used today are present. Third, we can also confirm the changes in Goseong Ogwangdae's signature motion, baegimsae as time goes on. Observing the video from 1965, baegimsae does not appear in Mundung Bukchum. In 2000 we can clearly see the baegimsae performed once to the left and to the right while Mundung is squatting. Comparing 1969 to 1988, there is no symmetry in the motions, baegimsae is not done to both left and right, but only in one direction. Watching the record from 2000, the baegimsae motion is performed just as it is now, with the body thrown forward with a sharp push off the ground. Fourth I confirmed how the music used to accompany Goseong Ogwangdae's Mundung Bukchum has changed over time. In 1965 according to records of Mundung Bukchum's appearance, the dance was accompanied by the taryeong rhythmic pattern played on the usual four percussion instruments (barrel drum, hourglass drum, large gong, small gong). In the 1969 records of Mundung Bukchum the accompanying music is gutgeori rhythmic pattern performed on the usual four percussion instruments-an obvious difference. In 1988 the music with Mundung Bukchum is gutgeori rhythmic pattern transitioning into jajinmori rhythmic pattern. In 2000 the music with Mundung Bukchum includes the percussion instruments as well as taepyeongso (double reed oboe) playing gutgeori and jajinmori rhythmic patterns.

This study was conducted to provide the basic data necessary for the improvement of the teaching method for basic nursing practice as well as the effectiveness of the practice by examining the students' competency in cleansing enema after doing the self study instead of the traditional education. To examine the competency in cleansing enema after the self study, this study is an one group pretest-posttest design that subjects did the enema practice through the self study. The subjects were 89 sophomore students at Y University. College of Nursing. In basic nursing lab practice class, cleansing enema self study module was given to the students which was developed by the researcher based on the literature review and asked them to finish doing the pre study and checking the self study evaluation criteria after reading the goal, learning activities and theoretical guideline. After watching the video tape, students practiced the process in the module by themselves. For the competency in cleansing enema. repeated autonomous practices were done during the open lab other than the regular class. Whenever the practice was done, the frequency and time were measure and documented. When the student felt confident through repeated practices, the competency was evaluated by the researcher and two assistants based on the evaluation criteria. And the process was repeated till the student could perform all the items on evaluation criteria completely. The data were collected for 42 days from Oct. 15 to Nov. 26 in 1996. Collected data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, Pearson correlation coefficient and variance analysis. The results are summarized as follows : 1. 43.2% of the students were favorable to nursing and 63.6% like lecture, but 71.6% like practice. So they were more interested in practice than in lecture. 2. 62.3% of the students scored high in written test, 97.8% scored high in practice. So the practice score was better. 3. The frequency of repeated practice to pass the test ranged from 1 to 4 and the average is 2.2. 4. The average time needed in preparation and the performance was nearly the same regardless of the frequency. It took 5 to 38 minutes for those who passed the test after practicing once and the average was 16 minutes. 5 to 60 minutes were taken for those who practiced twice to pass the test and the average was 21 minutes. Those who passed the test after three practices needed 8 to 30 minutes and the average was 15 minutes, which was similar to the time that the students who passed the test for the first trial. Only one student passed the test after 4 practices and it took 10 minutes. 5. 64% of the students agreed that the context and the content of the module were appropriate for the self study and 68.2% were satisfied. And 71.9% said that the module helped them to practice the enema self study 6. Though only 42% of the students were satisfied with the video. 50.6% said that it was helpful for the self study. 7. 52.3% of the students were satisfied with the self study method, and 86.6% obtained self-confidence when performing the enema. 8. The lower the student's practice score was, the more practices were needed for them to pass the test(r=-.213, P<.05). As a result, for performing the enema practice competently, two or more practice opportunities were needed to be given. And it is possible to obtain the less complex nursing skills through the self study, when enough learning resources and assistance such as learning guidance or video tapes are provided. Based on this study. I want to suggest that. 1. There must be college policy that can support the new method instead of the traditional learning method for the students to attain the proficiency in basic nursing skills. 2. The assistant materials should be developed as soon as possible to promote the self study of basic nursing skills.
