  • 본 논문에서는 폐 스마트폰을 활용하기 위한 원격제어 CCTV 시스템에 대하여 기술한다. 시스템은 폐 스마트폰용 애플리케이션과 폐 스마트폰을 거치할 수 있는 스마트독, 그리고 사용자용 애플리케이션으로 구성된다. 폐 스마트폰용 애플리케이션은 스마트독을 제어할 수 있고 영상을 전송할 수 있다. 스마트독은 온도, 습도, 적외선 센서와 서보모터가 장착되어 있다. 사용자용 애플리케이션은 영상을 확인할 수 있고 스마트독의 센서 데이터를 전송받을 수 있다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 시스템은 늘어나는 폐 스마트폰을 효율적으로 활용할 수 있고 적은 비용으로 실내 CCTV 환경을 구축할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.

  • as the smartphone industry developed, the smartphone's internal hardware devices have become high-end devices and it requires more power consumption than the previous one. therefore a battery of high capacity needed, but there is a limit in order to equip a large battery on account of smartphone minimization. The Linux Kernel provides the DVFS Mechanism to compensate for these limitations by software techniques. DVFS is dynamically adjust the frequency of the CPU to reduce the power consumption of the CPU. ondemand governor, the default policy in DVFS, apply the maximum frequency of the CPU whenever exceeding the up_threshold. so it result in a waste of CPU resources. by paying attention to this point, this paper propose the mechanism that maintain a high CPU utilization in proportion to the current frequency of the cpu to prevent the waste of CPU resources and conserve energy.

Effects of Self-directed Feedback Practice using Smartphone Videos on Basic Nursing Skills, Confidence in Performance and Learning Satisfaction (스마트 폰 동영상을 활용한 피드백 자율실습이 기본간호수기 수행능력, 수행자신감 및 학습만족도에 미치는 효과)

  • Purpose: This study was done to verify effects of a self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos on nursing students' basic nursing skills, confidence in performance and learning satisfaction. Methods: In this study an experimental study with a post-test only control group design was used. Twenty-nine students were assigned to the experimental group and 29 to the control group. Experimental treatment was exchanging feedback on deficiencies through smartphone recorded videos of nursing practice process taken by peers during self-directed practice. Results: Basic nursing skills scores were higher for all items in the experimental group compared to the control group, and differences were statistically significant ["Measuring vital signs" (t=-2.10, p=.039); "Wearing protective equipment when entering and exiting the quarantine room and the management of waste materials" (t=-4.74, p<.001) "Gavage tube feeding" (t=-2.70, p=.009)]. Confidence in performance was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the differences were not statistically significant. However, after the complete practice, there was a statistically significant difference in overall performance confidence (t=-3.07. p=.003). Learning satisfaction was higher in the experimental group compared to the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (t=-1.67, p=.100). Conclusion: Results of this study indicate that self-directed feedback practice using smartphone videos can improve basic nursing skills. The significance is that it can help nursing students gain confidence in their nursing skills for the future through improvement of basic nursing skills and performance of quality care, thus providing patients with safer care.

A Study on Smart Monitoring and Automatic Control based Food Waste Disposer (스마트 모니터링과 자동 제어 기반의 음식물 처리장치 연구)

  • A food waste disposer commonly used in restaurants or homes is a type of machine with an agitator attached. The food waste disposer of the crushing type has a problem that the agitator may be broken if the piping or decomposition filter is blocked. In addition, there is an inconvenience that the user must manually open the cover to check the level in the food waste disposer. To solve these problems, this paper proposes a device that combines basic IoT technology with food waste disposer. The proposed device additionally designs and implement a real-time monitor processor and an automatic control processor inside the existing food waste disposer. The proposed food waste disposer allows the user to monitor the inside of the device using the smartphone. In addition, when the food is filled up to a certain position in the food waste disposer, it automatically stops and alarms. Using the proposed system, the user can conveniently check the inside of the food waste disposer, which has the advantage of preventing malfunctions in advance and reducing the probability of malfunction.

  • Drivers check always vehicle state for own safety and is necessary to understand about vehicle state. If driver know vehicle state, because driver request vehicle state at vehicle specialty company, driver pay a lot of money and waste a lot of time. Now, drivers have checked vehicle state by using variety features of smart phone due to progress of IT(Information Technology). but existing smartphone vehicle diagnostic system learned professional knowledge of vehicle and know vehicle state. drives not need vehicle diagnostic. to overcome these disadvantages, there use easily drivers by using smartphone and request system to know own all vehicle state. In this paper, there implement vehicle diagnostic system with smartphone based on android OS to use easily this system and know check information of vehicle supplies replacement cycles, vehicle internal problems, Eco driving by using OBD-II data to receive by OBD-II Protocol convert Bluetooth connector.

Energy Harvesting from Bio-Organic Substance Using Microbial Fuel Cell and Power Conditioning System (미생물 연료 전지와 전력 조절 시스템을 이용한 생체 유기 물질로부터의 전력 생산)

  • This study presents a bio-chemical energy harvesting system which can generate electric power from bioorganic substance contained in vermicompost. It produced electricity by inoculating microbial fuel cell(MFC) with earthworm-composted food waste. The generated electricity was converted into usable voltage level for mobile electronics through power conditioning circuits. The implemented prototype showed $200{\mu}W$ of maximum output electric power, which successfully supplied a beacon device which continuously transmitted data to nearby smartphone without a battery. The proposed system can help develop portable or bio-mimetic energy supply for sustainable use with further improvement.

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the smart phone usage experience structure for college students. The phenomenology approach was used by conducting 4 times in-depth interviews with the 7 college students age between 20~23. Collected Data was analyzed by Giorgi's phenomenological method. There were 4 general structure descriptions and 28 themes. General structure descriptions were 'Dependence on smart phone', 'Phenomenon of smart phone usage', 'Results of smart phone usage' and 'Relationship between stress and smart phone'. Themes consisted of 'Ambivalence', 'Positive feelings for smart phones', 'Separation anxiety', 'Negative feelings for smart phones'. 'Dependent feelings for smart phones', 'A sense of unity with smart phones', 'Helpful for my life', 'Deeply involved with my life', 'Useful tool in my life', 'Study, communication, relaxation and health care', 'Maintain personal relationship', 'The most important thing in my life', 'Shallow relationship stress', 'Interference with personal relationship', 'Forming a negative relationship', 'Invasion of privacy', 'Forming a Incorrect relationship', 'Unwanted participation', 'No effort to improve relationship', 'Poor concentration', 'Interference with academic study', 'Study assistance', 'Limited help for study in depth', 'Shelter from the stress', 'Amplification of the stress', 'Obsessive focus', 'Feel separation for the reality' and 'Waste of time'. Smart phone usage make college students dependent on smart phones and had negative influence on both personal relationship and academic results. Usage of smart phone also amplified stress. Therefore we need fundamental principles on usage of smart phone and propose to build cultural etiquette that provides reasonable way to use smartphone.

  • Human urine is a process of excreting waste products in the blood, and it is easy to collect and contains various substances. Urinalysis is used to check for diseases, health conditions, and urinary tract infections. There are three methods of urinalysis: physical property test, chemical test, and microscopic test, and chemical test results can be easily confirmed using urine test strips. A variety of items can be tested on the urine test strip, through which various diseases can be identified. Recently, with the spread of smart phones, research on reading urine test strips using smart phones is being conducted. There is a method of detecting and reading the color change of a urine test strip using a smartphone. This method uses the RGB values and the color difference formula to discriminate. However, there is a problem in that accuracy is lowered due to various environmental factors. This paper applies a deep learning model to solve this problem. In particular, color discrimination of a urine test strip is improved in a smartphone using a lightweight CNN (Convolutional Neural Networks) model. CNN is a useful model for image recognition and pattern finding, and a lightweight version is also available. Through this, it is possible to operate a deep learning model on a smartphone and extract accurate urine test results. Urine test strips were taken in various environments to prepare deep learning model training images, and a urine test service application was designed using MobileNet V3.

Implementation of Automatic Power Management System using the Arduino and Beacons (아두이노와 비콘을 활용한 자동 전원 관리 시스템의 구현)

  • In this study, the system to manage the power automatically was implemented by using Arduino, Raspberry pi, and Beacon technologies. Before the research, pre-research was carried out with the analysis on the existing power management systems in the market in order to find a solution to reduce burdens from standby power and power waste with the increase of electric charges. The system is designed to be able to deliver and receive data through IEEE 802.15.4 wireless protocol, by using Xbee module. Arduino was tested to verify whether it is able to control SSR(Solid State Relay), and it was found that there is no problem. Meanwhile, it was also tested whether it is possible to organize a star topology network through Arduino and Raspberry Pi, and it was confirmed that normal wireless communication is possible through IEEE 802.15.4 wireless protocol. It is designed that the signal from Android smartphone application is to be delivered to Raspberry Pi and then, to be delivered to Arduino through Xbee so that Arduino could control SSR. In addition to this, wireless protocol required to control Arduino with Raspberry Pi is also designed and applied to this research.

  • This paper proposes an identification system based on QR (Quick Response) code for production and disposal information of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. Three thousands and five hundreds of electronic devices have replaced and discarded in South Korea in a year, and twenty millions to fifty millions tons of e-wastes have happened throughout the world every year. According to Gartner, market research institution, the number of IoT devices will increase from 2.3 billions in 2013 to 30 billions in 2020, however, the regulations and systems which take into account environment were not prepared. The identification systems for reflecting information of devices, which are produced or discarded, are required to resolve the problem. The proposed identification system based on QR code can store much more massive data such as the producer, product's model, serial number, recycling rate, recovering rate, recyclability rate, recoverability rate than RFID (Radio-Frequency Identification). Also, users can immediately recognize production and disposal information by a QR code application in a smartphone.
