생식원료 야채의 전처리공정에서 Hypochlorous Acid의 미생물 제어 효과 (Effect of Hypochlorous Acid to Reduce Microbial Populations in Dipping Procedure of Fresh Produce as Saengshik Raw Materials)

  • 생식 원재료 전처리공정은 1차 세척-침지-2차 세척-절단공정으로 구성되며, 본 연구에서는 hypochlorous acid를 침지공정에 적용하여 미생물을 제어하고자 하였다. 전처리 단계에서 1차 세척 후에는 감자, 당근, 케일 및 신선초의 총균수는 4.7, 5.3, 5.6, 5.7 log CFU/g이 검출되었으며, 이를 물에 5분간 침지한 경우에는 각각 0.2, 0.2, 0.4, 1.1 log CFU/g를 감소시켰다. 반면 1차 세척 후 100 ppm hypochlorous acid 용액에 5분간 침지한 시료들은 0.5, 0.5, 1.3, 2.8 log CFU/g를 감소시켜 살균효과가 더 좋았으며, 구근류(감자, 당근)보다는 엽채류(케일, 신선초)에 효과적이었다. 하지만 흐르는 물로 세척이 끝난 채소류는 절단공정을 거친 후 다시 0.1~2.7 log CFU/g만큼 미생물수가 증가하였다. 따라서 감자, 당근, 케일, 신선초에 대해 절단공정을 먼저하고 나서 침지하는 공정을 한 경우, 물을 사용하였을 때는 각각 0.9, 0.6, 0.6, 0.4 log CFU/g, hypochlorous acid 용액에 침지한 후에는 각각 3.2, 2.3, 2.5, 2.6 log CFU/g를 감소시켰다. 결론적으로 1차 세척-절단-침지-2차 세척으로 공정을 개선하고 침지단계에서 hypochlorous acid 용액을 처리하는 것이 일반미생물과 유해미생물을 효과적으로 제어할 수 있는 방법으로 나타났다.

시금치의 생육, 저장기간 및 세척에 따른 잔류농약 분해특성 (The Degradation Patterns of Two Pesticides in Spinach by Cultivation, Storage and Washing)

  • 시금치에서 부적합 빈도가 높은 농약성분 중 시금치에 대한 안전사용기준이 설정되어 있지 않은 azoxystrobin과 안전사용기준이 설정되어 있는 cholrpyrifos에 대하여 재배 및 저장기간에 따른 잔류량 변화, 세척방법에 따른 제거 효과를 실험하였다. 시금치에서 azoxystrobin의 생물학적 반감기는 파파 품종과 월동 품종이 각각 3.8일, 3.2일이였고, chlorpyrifos는 4.7과 3.8일이였다. 회귀식을 이용하여 MRL이하로 잔류량이 떨어지는 시점을 예측한 결과, 파파와 동 품종에 처리한 azoxystrobin는 각각 9.7일, 9.4일이였고, chlorpyrifos는 49.2일과 42.5일이였다. 저장기간 중 azoxystrobin의 예상 반감기는 노지 상태의 생육기간 반감기와 비교해 품종별로 약 2.8~8.9배 더 길었으며, chlorpyrifos를 처리한 파라와 월동 품종의 예상반감기도 생육기간의 반감기와 비교해 약 2.7~3.9배 더 긴 반감기를 나타내었다. 세척방법에 따른 azoxystrobin의 제거율은 데치기 방법이 단독 방법으로는 가장 효과적인 방법이었으나, chlorpyrifos는 1가지 이상의 방법을 조합하는 것이 더 효과적이었다. 세척에 의한 품종별 잔류농약 제거율은 azoxystrobin이 9.6~90.0%, chlorpyrifos가 17.7~85.8%였다.

표준화력발전소의 발전폐수 통합을 이용한 용수 사용량 절감 (Curtailment of Water use Through the Integration of Process Waste Waters at the Standard Thermal Power Plant)

  • The Water usage is relationship which is close with the administrative cost from industrial facility. It is not easy to reduce a water usage. This research is the optimization of the waste water quantity which process waste water integration of the standard thermal power plant in system operate time. The turbine rotates by force of the steam and it produces an electricity. Demineralization Water is manufacture purity manufacturing equipment and it is supplied in power plant channel. We knew a possibility of reducing from pure control process. When it is reduced the Back Washing time, Rinsing time of the gravity filter and the activated carbon filter. Also, It is possible even from regeneration phase in Condensate Polishing Demineralization System. In addition, There is also the water which the drain of the sampling water for watching the condition of power plant process will be able to use. Integrates these processes it will be able to reduce an annual 30,000 ton degree. The research is want to use the fundamental data for the water curtailment of the power plant.

쌀의 세척 및 취반에 따른 잔류농약의 제거 (Removal of Pesticides during Washing and Cooking of Rice)

  • 본 연구에서는 쌀에 인위적으로 조성된 잔류농약이 세척 및 취반 과정에서 제거되는 정도를 측정하였다. 백미의 농약처리 직후 isoprothiolane과 fthalide의 농도가 각각 $7.134{\pm}0.03mg/kg$$2.024{\pm}0.04mg/kg$이었으며 현미에서는 각각 $17.941{\pm}1.41mg/kg$$6.413{\pm}0.19mg/kg$이었다. 1회 세척 후 백미와 현미에서 isoprothiolane의 제거율은 각각 23.0% 및 18.5%이었으며, fthalide의 제거율은 각각 14.0% 및 9.7%이었다. 세척 횟수가 증가함에 따라 각 잔류농약의 제거량은 많아지나 제거율은 감소하였다. 취반 후 isoprothiolane 과 fthalide의 제거율은 백미의 경우 각각 66.0% 및 79.0%이었으며 현미의 경우에는 각각 88.7% 및 92.9%이었다. isoprothiolane의 경우 농약제거율이 취반과정보다 세척과정에서 더 높았으며, fthalide의 경우에는 취반과정에서 더 높았다. 농약제거를 위한 가장 적합한 세척 및 취반 방법은 5회 세척 후 30분간 물에 불리고 새 물로 취반하는 것이 가장 효과적인 것으로 조사되었다.

Rainwater for Water Scarcity Management: An Experience of Woldia University (Ethiopia)

  • Purpose: Town of Woldia, a semi-arid region in the Northern Wollo region of Ethiopia, faces water supply shortage in general, though the town possesses a running stream of clean water throughout the year. This study is aimed at analyzing the possibility of using rainwater for water scarcity and non-potable water needs of the Woldia University. A careful study and analysis have been made to assess the feasibility of using rainwater in place of the tap water supply. Research design and methodology: This study was done inside the main campus of Woldia University located in Woldia town. The runoff water from the roof of buildings was studied, by the time of rainfall in the town. Also, the budget needed for implementing a rainwater harvesting system was calculated. Results: The findings of the study clearly indicates that the requirements of the water to use for flushing, cleaning, and washing toilets in the administrative buildings and classrooms can be satisfied by using rainwater as an alternative to tap water. Conclusion: Based on the results the study finds it is benefitable for the Woldia University to install the rainwater harvesting system at the earliest to solve the water problems prevailing in the current situation.

석조문화재 발수경화제 시험연구(II) (Studies on the consolidants and water-repellents of stone cultural properties)

  • Stone cultural properties, exposed in natural environment, is deteriorated by many weathering reasons for a long time. It is necessary to treat of consolidation and water-repellent on the surface because of the conservation of stone cultural properties. We was treated the specimen [granite(Hwangdung-suk), sandstone, marble(in JeongSeon)] by synthesis resin of DWR-Ⅲ, SI2121 and fluoropolymer, and tested on the durability, water-repellent, color stability and luster generation etc. In the result of this study, DWR-Ⅲ and fluoropolymer is superior to the waterrepellent, durability of salt and acid rain. SI2121 is superior to the penetration because of lower viscosity, but the water-repellent is inferior to the others. After the treatment of chemicals, the color-variation make an appearance but luster-generation doesn’t. With the passage of time, the color of specimen was got better because of the ‘washing’ phenomenon for ultra-violet, salt etc.

  • 시판 주방용세제와 비누 및 생활하수 관련 오염물질 등에 대해 화학적산소 요구량을 측정하여 수질오염부하량을 서로 비교하였으며, 이들 대상 시료의 최종적생분해도 실험을 실시하였다. 실험 결과와 우리나라 하천의 수질오염 및 하수처리 실태를 종합 검토하여, 합성세제가 수질오염에 미치는 영향을 비누 및 다른 오염물 등과 함께 비교 고찰하였다.

한국 소방대원 방수피복의 소재특성에 관한 비교 연구 (A Study on the Textile for Protective Clothing of Fire Fighters)

  • The following research conclusions were made, relative to the experiments of the textiles of fire fighters Protective Clothing. 1. When the body protection efficiency such as the thickness, the strength and heat resistance are considered, Nomex(N) is tuned out the best outer shelf, Gore-tex(KG) the best moisture barrier, and Wool-felt(WC) the best thermal barrier. 2. In the hygienic and sanitary efficiency also, N is turned out the best outer shelf, KG the best moisture barrier, and WC the best thermal barrier in its degree of water resistance, water vapour permeability, and air permeability. 3. In the washing and maintenance efficiency, too. N is turned out the best outer shell, KG the best moisture barrier, and WC the best thermal barrier, being considered the material's rate of contraction, the changing rate of frame resistance, water resistance, and water vapour permeability. 4. When considered the frame resistance against the reflection tape and reflection efficiency, O is the best material for it marks the highest score in the frame resistance and reflective effect.

막분리(膜分離)를 이용(利用)한 수도원수(水道原水)의 고도처리(高度處理)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Water Purification Using Hollow Fiber Microfiltration Membrane)

  • Constant rate permeat experiments using polyethylene hollow fiber membranes were conducted in order to treat dam water for potable purposes. The experiments consisted of two series. One series consisted of six bench scale apparatuses, each having a $0.4m^2$ nominal permeat area, which were applied in determining the optimum operating conditions. The other series was comprised of two pilot scale plant, each having a $40m^2$ nominal permeat area. Both series were operated for six months. Coagulant was not used in any of the experiments. To suppress an increase in differential pressure between the inlet and outlet of the membrane, a hydrophilic membrane was found to be better than a hydrophobic membrane. Also, permeat flux should not be more than 0.03m/h, and air bubbling-washing for 1 minute should be conducted at 180 minutes intervals or less.

어패류의 비브리오패혈증 균 오염과 그 대책 (Contamination of Shellfish with Vibrio vulnificus the Present Situation and Countermeasures)

  • Vibrio septicemia,, resulting in high mortality, has been caused by Vibrio vulnificus. Ingestion of marine products or contact with sea water contaminated with Vibrio vulnificus can cause septicemia. Vibrio vulnificus has been detected world wide and west sea area of Korea, Kum river estuary in particular, showed high detection rate. Higher detection rate of Vibrio vulnificus were reported in the bottom deposit with low depth of water, low salinity, and high COD. Man with the liver disease can easily come down with Vibrio septicemia and the main source is the sliced raw fish dish. The preventive measure for this disease is to wash raw fish material thoroughly with tap water and handle in sanitary conditions. Washing with sea water is strictly prohibited . It may be necessary to forbid the small-scale businessmen from selling the sliced ray fish dish in the vicinity of seashore. Man with the liver disease of diabetes should not swim or consume the raw fish dish in the contaminated area during summer.
