중층 트롤 어구의 망구 형상 해석 (Analysis of the Net Mouth Shape for a Midwater Trawl Gear)

  • 본 연구에서는 실물 어구를 이용한 해상실험을 통하여 예망 중인 어구의 망구 형상을 해석하기 위해서 예망 속도, 어구의 저항, 전개판의 간격, 망고 등을 계측ㆍ분석하였다. 또한 망구 형상을 이론적으로 계산하기 위해서 망구의 형상을 지배하는 뜸줄, 발줄 및 옆줄의 모양을 현수곡선으로 간주하고 수학모텔을 기술하여 수치해석 하였고, 이 결과를 실제 측정된 값과 비교하여 모텔의 타당성을 검토하였다. 본 실험에 대한결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 선속의 변화에 따라 크게 변하는 요소로는 장력과 망고였고, 끌줄 길이의 변화에 민감하게 반응한 것은 어구 수심과 전개판의 간격이었다. 2. 계측된 트롤 어구의 상태량을 토대로 뜸줄 및 옆줄의 형상을 수치해석한 결과, 선속이 증가함에 따라 뜸줄 및 발줄의 폭과 옆줄의 높이는 감소하였고, 뜸풀 및 옆줄 중앙부의 처짐 정도는 증가하였다. 3. 예망속도에 따른 망고변화에 대하여 수치해석한 결과와 실제 실험에서 얻은 데이터를 비교한 결과, 비교적 양호한 결과를 얻을 수 있었다. 4. 수치해석한 결과로부터 망구의 형상을 추정한 결과, 선속이 증가함에 따라 횡축으로 긴 직사각형의 형상이 나타났으며, 횡축 및 종축 모두 크기가 감소하였다.

Tilt variation and wake turbulence in the otter board of a bottom trawl during fishing operations

  • The tension of warp from trawler and sea-floor contact can generate tilt and wake turbulence around otter boards. Preliminary measurements of otter board tilt and 3-D flow velocity during bottom trawl operations were taken using a vector instrument to investigate the effects of wake turbulence at the trailing edge of the otter board. Tilt data (i.e., yaw, pitch, and roll) at 1 Hz and flow data (velocities in the towing, lateral, and vertical directions) at 16 Hz were analyzed to determine their periods and amplitudes using global wavelet and peak event analyses. The mean period (${\pm}standard$ deviation) of the tilt from the peak event analysis ($5{\pm}2s$) was longer or double than that of flow velocity ($3{\pm}2s$). The two periods also had a significant linear relationship. The turbulence rate of flow was 30-50% at the trailing edge and was closely related to roll deviation. The frequency of phase difference ratios (i.e., peak time differences between tilts and flow periods) was significantly different from random occurrence in two trials, possibly due to side tidal effects. However, in the other trials, flow peaks were random, as shown by the even peak times between tilts and flows. Future studies should focus on reducing tilt variation, wake turbulence, and bottom contact to stabilize otter board motion.

알루미늄 고정 스크롤 열간 단조공정의 금형 파괴 원인 및 실용적 대책 (Reason of Die Fracture in Hot Forging of an Aluminum Fixed Scroll and Its Practical Measures)

  • In this study, the reason of die fracture occurring in hot forging of an aluminum fixed scroll was studied, based on experiments and finite element predictions. The material is assumed to be rigid-viscoplastic, and the die is rigid for the finite element predictions. The stress in the tension at the wrap root is known to cause brittle fracture, and the increase in the tensile stress is owing to the unbalanced filling of material into the die cavities between both sides of the warp. Based on the empirical and numerical achievements, the effects of geometrical parameters of the material on the die fracture were examined to find practical measures for elongated die life. It has been shown from the parametric study that the material with the optimized trapezoidal cross-section, which can be easily made during cutting or the optimized cylindrical billet with its eccentric placement in the die cavity, can considerably reduce the magnitude of the tensile stress around the die corner fractured, indicating that economical manufacturing with reduced number of stages and elongated die life can be realized at once using the optimized practical initial material.

  • The purpose of this study is to the processes and quality of local women's apparel production using the stretch fabric and to address the problems related to production in order to provide useful data for producing competitive apparels. The result of the survey can be summarized as follows; 1. Results of surveying the process for raw materials and notions indicated that most of the workers were ignorant of the properties of stretch fabrics. And most factories were stacking the stretch fabrics across improperly, while being aware of the properties of the fabrics through their experiences or in-company test. 2. The major problem involving spreading fabrics was the uneven tension, followed by static electricity, overlap and warp twist. The problems involving the cutting work were melting of the fabric by cutter and difference of size between upper and lower parts. 3. Most of the businesses were not tempering the fabric before and after its linking works due to lack of working space, short delivery time, ignorance and etc. The majority of the sample businesses were operating their cutters at the speed of 3,000 rpm or higher, which suggests a poor technological guidance.

스마트 웨어러블 회로 구성을 위한 고신축성 이선 전송선형 전자섬유 밴드 (Highly Elastic Two-wire Transmission Line E-textile Band for Smart Wearable Circuit Formation)

  • Herein, a highly elastic e-textile band with a two-wire transmission line was designed and fabricated for smart clothing applications. A conductive yarn with a very uniform low electrical resistance of 0.0357 Ω/cm was developed and used for the signal and ground lines. To control the elasticity of the e-textile band, spandex yarns were added in the warp direction during knitting and the tension was adjusted. As the length of the e-textile band increased, its RF performance deteriorated. Furthermore, the frequency corresponding to -3 dB S21 was lower in the 30% stretched band than in the unstretched band. For the e-textile bands with lengths 10, 50, and 100 cm, the frequencies corresponding to -3 dB S21 were 107.77, 24.56, and 13.02 MHz when not stretched, and 88.74, 22.02, and 12.60 MHz when stretched by 30%. The fabricated bands were flatter, more flexible, and more elastic than transmission line cables; thus, they can be easily integrated into wearables and smart clothing. However, to increase RF performance and achieve optimum utilization, future studies must focus on the fabrication of transmission lines with lower resistance and reduced distance between the signal and ground lines, and thus the number of transmission lines can be increased.

쌍끌이 중층트롤어업의 연구 ( IV ) ( a Study on the Midwater Pair Trawling ( IV )

  • Full scale experiment was carried out in the southern sea of Korea to compare some important factors tested in the model experiment. The results obtained can be summarized as follows ; 1. The changing aspect of mouth performance of the full scale net was almost coincided with the results obtained by the model experiment. The vertical opening(H) and the opening area(S) can be expressed as a function of the towing velocity(V) as H=48.78. $e^0.38V$(unit: m, k't) S= 1,443 .$e^-0.25V$(unit: $m^2V$, k't) 2. The changing aspect of working depth of the full scale net was almost coincided with the results obtained by the model experiment. The depth(D) can be expressed as a function of the towing velocity(V) and the warp length(L) as D=92.49.$V^1.37$(unit: m, k't, L= 150m) D= 12.07+0.32. L (unit: m, V=2k't) [)= - 7.90+0.22 . L (unit: m, V=3k't) 3. Some problems were found to operate A - type full scale net by common bottom pair trawlers. The problems can be summarized as follows; (1) Entangling of wing and square head ropes while net casting.(2) Man power needed and time spent for net hauling by common bottom trawlers increased considerably.( 3) Tearing of nettings caused by over -load of tension and entangling of net pendant while net hauling. To solve these problems, the trawlers are favorable to be equipped with variable pitch propeller and llet drum. While the net is favorable to be constructed with trifurcated net pendant in stead of quadrifurcated net pendant used at present.

그라프트 가공 견직물의 力學特性과 태의 分析硏究 (Mechanical Properties and Fabric Handle of Grafted Silk Fabrics)

  • In order to study an applicable level for the graft finish of silk filaments and the characteristics of silk fabric, some sample fabrics were woven with grafted weft and the characteristics of sample fabrics were analyzed to evaluate the mechanical properites and the handle values according to the graft yield(%) of MMA and HEMA monomers on silk filaments. 1. The tensile properties were detected in the increase of linearity(LT) and the recovery in time of the increasing resilience(RT). 2. The bending properties were detected to have a lot of effect on the balance of bending rigidity(B) to hysteresis(2HB) according to the elastic relaxation of warp tension and the interlacing stress. 3. The shearing properities were detected to show the softness and the elastics in a case of the decrease in shearing rigidity(G) and hysteresis(2HG, 2HG5) according to the graft yields. 4. The compression properties were detected in the decrease of linearity(LC) and the uniformity of resilience(RC). It explains that the tendancies of compressible variation is not accepted. 5. The surface properities were detected to be affected by the surface forms of grafted silk filaments and the variation in the morphologies of interlacing sections. Considering the interlacing eveness, MMA grafted fabrics were accepted within the level of WOMEN'S THIN DRESS(KN-201-LDY) but HEMA grafted fabrics were not accepted. 6. The variation of handles were detected in the increase of total hand(TAV) within the levels of 65% of KOSHI and 82% of HARI on the average. 7. The handle fashions were detected in the nature of Habuta and Dechine from MAA graft but the nature of Fugi were shaped from HEMA graft in proportion to the graft yields.

더블라셀 소재의 CAD에 의한 표현과 물성연구 (Analysis of CAD Design and Physical Properties of Double-raschel Spacer Fabric)

  • WKSF (Warp-knitted spacer fabrics) knitted using a double Raschel machine is the three-dimensional knit that has vertically connected separate layers in loop structures. Because of its unique structure, the fabric is light, compressible and breathable. Owing to the high production speed, the use of the fabric is increasing in various areas. The purpose of this study is to establish the design process in the utilization of WKSF program and analyze the difference between WKSF and Neoprene as garment materials.. The study on the design related to WKSF has rarely been carried out because of the complexity of WKSF structure and the difficulties encountered in analyzing the structure and thread. Therefore, checking beforehand the simulation results similar to a final knit using the CAD program for WKSF can only enhance the efficiency of the design for the light knits. The conclusion drawn after designing the light knits using the CAD program and analyzing the pros and cons of WKSF through the various property evaluation techniques is as follows. The tension characteristic analysis results indicated that Neoprene specimen has the elastic transformation and resilience, thus behaving like an elastic product such as rubber. By contrast, in the event that clothing and fashion accessories are designed with WKSF, these products are kept in a boxy style fit so that the fabric can be applied flexibly to a curvy body line. In addition, WKSF is good in forming noticeably around a curvy body, because its resistance shear deformation is lower than that of Neoprene.

중층 트롤 어구 시스템 운동의 유체역학적 시뮬레이션 (Hydrodynamic Simulation of Midwater Trawl System Behavior)

  • 본 연구에서는 중층 트롤 어구 시스템의 운동을 예측하기 위한 운동방정식을 정의하였고 중층 트롤 어구 시스템의 운동을 유체역학적으로 해석하여 시뮬레이션에 적용하여 계산한 결과를 해상에서 실험한 결과들과 비교하여 시뮬레이션의 정확도를 검증하였다. 해상실험은 1997년 8월 28일부터 1997년 8월 30일까지 동해상(36$^{\circ}$05'N, 130$^{\circ}$25'2E~36$^{\circ}$20'N,130$^{\circ}$47'E)에서 부경대 실습선 가야호를 이용하여 실시하였다. 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 중층 트롤 시스템의 운동을 해석하기 위해 사용된 운동 방정식은 m$_{i}$equation omitted/=f$_{i}$으로 기술하였고, 여기서 m과 /equation omitted/는 각각 질점 i의 질량과 가속도이며, f$_{i}$는 질점에 작용하는 힘이다. 2. 각 질점에 작용하는 힘은 내력과 외력으로 구성되며, 내력은 질점 사이에서 작용하는 힘으로 어구 시스템 구성에 사용된 각 종 줄과 그물실의 탄성에 의한 힘이며, 외력은 질점에 작용하는 저항, 부력 그리고 중력 등이다. 3. 시뮬레이션의 결과를 해상실험의 결과와 정량적으로 비교하기 위해 끌줄길이 250m, 예망속력 2m/s에서의 전개판 간격, 전개판 수심 망고 그리고 망폭을 비교하였다. 이 때 전개판 사이의 간격과 망폭은 계산치와 실험치가 거의 일치하며, 전개판의 수심과 망고는 각각 5m와 4m의 오차를 가지고 있었다. 4. 시뮬레이션 도중 끌줄의 길이, 예망속력, 부력 그리고 전개판 면적을 증가시키면서 어구의 형상을 계산한 결과를 앞선 해상 실험들의 결과와 비교하였다. 이 때 끌줄길이를 증가시킨 경우 어구의 예망수심이 깊어졌으며 전개판의 간격이 증가하였다. 예망속력을 증가시킨 경우 어구가 수면으로 부상하였으며 전개판의 간격이 줄어들었다. 부력을 증가시킨 경우에도 어구가 수면으로 부상하였으며 전개판의 간격과 망폭이 줄어들었다. 마지막으로 전개판의 면적을 증가시킨 경우에는 전개판의 전개력이 증가하여 전개판 사이 간격이 커지고 망폭이 증가하였다.

경량 복합재 대차프레임의 피로수명 및 강도 평가 (An Evaluation of Fatigue Life and Strength of Lightweight Bogie Frame Made of Laminate Composites)

  • 본 논문은 4-매 주자직 유리섬유/에폭시 적층 복합재가 적용된 철도차량 경량 대차프레임의 피로 수명 및 강도 평가에 대해 기술한다. 대차프레임 경량화 재질로 적용된 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재료의 피로특성 평가를 위하여 경사, 위사 그리고 $0^{\circ}/90^{\circ}$ 방향으로 적층된 시험편에 대하여 인장-압축 피로시험을 수행하였다. 유리섬유/에폭시 4-매 주자직 적층 복합재료의 피로시험은 5Hz의 주파수, -1의 응력비(R), $10^7$의 피로수명을 갖도록 하였다. 또한, JIS E 4207의 하중조건에 따른 대차프레임의 피로강도 평가를 Goodman 선도를 통하여 수행하였다. 유리섬유/에폭시 적층 복합재 경량 대차프레임의 피로수명 및 강도 평가기준을 만족하였으며, 무게를 고려할 경우 기존 대차프레임 재질인 SM490A 금속재에 비하여 우수한 피로특성을 갖는다.
