슬라이딩 모드 관측기를 이용한 전원전압 센서없는 단상 PWM 컨버터의 고역율 제어 (The Control of Single Phase High Power Factor PWM converter using Siding mode Observer without a source voltage sensor)

  • In this paper, a method for controlling a single phase PWM AC/DC converter without any voltage sensors is proposed. In this method, the source voltage is estimated by sliding mode observer and input current is synchronized with the estimated source voltage. The source voltage is estimated by current error between the actul and the estimated current. The experimental results confirm the validity of the proposed control method.

  • In this paper describes the feasibility study on a single-phase / three-phase voltage-fed inverter using 1GBTs, incorporating voltage-mode quasi-resonant DC Link and the instantaneous Sinusoidal Current tracking adaptive control implementation under zero voltage switching resfriction. The simulation and experimental results are shown here and discussed for single-phase voltage-fed and three-phase voltage-fed inverter in order to verify the new operating principle of the Inverter topology proposed here.

  • This paper deals with the ZVS characteristics of a bidirectional DC/DC converter in idling mode. Simulations are carried out with the supercapacitor which maximum voltage is 50 V. It is found that the ZVS can be achieved as far as the supercapacitor voltage is below 94% of the maximum voltage in idling mode. Therefore, the switching loss in the mode can be small by control the upper limit of the supercapacitor voltage.

  • In this paper, A Digital Voltage Mode Controller is designed for the Photovoltaic power converter applications. The designed Digital Voltage Mode Controller is derived analytically from the continuous time small signal model of the boost converter. Due to the small signal model based derivations of the control law, the designed control method can be applicable to K-factor Approach method and bilinear transformation. In order to show the usefulness of a designed controller, and the simulation results are verified.

  • A novel three-phase quasi-resonant dc link inverter (QRI)with a switch connected between dc voltage source and resonant inductor is proposed. According to the state of switching and load current, the operating mode of the proposed inverter scheme is classified into free-wheeling, inverting, and rectifying mode. By examining the behavior of the circuit in each operating mode, an equivalent circuit which represents all the modes in a unified manner is derived. The operating principle of QRI at inverting mode is analyzed, and it is shown that the maximum voltage of resonant dc link is confined to twice the dc source voltage and that both the zero voltage switching of inverter and the zero current switching of inserted switch are guaranteed. An appropriate current control algorithm is suggested, and the opeating characteristics of proposed resonant inverter are verified through both simulation and experiment.

  • This paper proposes the advanced PWM method which can reduce common-mode voltage in 3 phase PWM converter/inverter system. By shifting the zero voltage vector of inverter in a sampling period, it is possible to cancel out a common-mode voltage pulse defined by switching functions of converter and inverter. Without any loss of control performance of converter/inverter system, overall common-mode voltage can be reduced by one-third compared with that of conventional PWM scheme.

  • This paper presents a new structure for a piezoelectric transformer, operating in thickness extensional vibration mode. Modified $PbTiO_3$ family ceramics were used for the piezoelectric transformer, because it was a material with large anisotropy between elecromechanical coupling factors $K_t$ and $K_p$ . The size of piezoelectric transformer was 20mn long, 20mm wide and 3.1mm thick. The second harmonic resonant frequency of thickness extensional vibration mode was 0.72MHz at loading resistance 100[$\omega$], And Voltage gin of piezoelectric ceramics showed 0.53 at resonant frequency of sencond thickness extensional vibration mode.

  • This paper proposes a sliding-mode-based direct power control (DPC) method in a three-phase boost rectifier without the use of a voltage sensor. This sliding-mode-based DPC is used to improve transient-state response characteristics. This DPC can eliminate voltage sensors by calculating a voltage using a sensorless method, thus considerably reducing cost. This DPC first presents an effective algorithm that does not significantly affect the previous performance and does not need a voltage sensor. Thereafter, the effectiveness of the algorithm is verified by simulations and experiments.

  • In this paper, we applied a three-level T-type inverter with the one more voltage level than two-level inverter. However, the three-level T-type inverter has a systematic problem with voltage unbalances. So neutral point control is essential. Therefore, the voltage unbalance problem of the three - phase inverter was confirmed to be controlled within 5V using the neutral point control algorithm in charge and discharge mode. In addition, total harmonic distortion was reduced in three phases (u phase, v phase, w phase) when neutral point control was performed in charging mode and also in three phases (u phase, v phase, w phase) in discharge mode. In this paper suggests a neutral point control algorithm to solve the voltage unbalance of a three-level T-type inverter, and shows the improvement of the performance of the proposed algorithm through experiment.

ISG 시스템용 고효율 양방향 DC-DC 컨버터의 설계 및 자율적이며 끊김없는 모드전환을 위한 제어전략 (Design and Control Strategy for Autonomous and Seamless Mode Transition of High Efficiency Bidirectional DC-DC Converter for ISG Systems)

  • In this study, a bidirectional DC-DC converter for idle stop and go (ISG) is developed to reduce fuel consumption. A three-phase non-isolated half-bridge converter is selected through a design method by considering efficiency and volume. According to the state of charge of the batteries at both the low-voltage and high-voltage sides, buck mode, which charges a low-voltage battery from the generated motor energy, and boost mode, which provides power to the motor from the low- and high-voltage battery sides, are required in the ISG system. Hence, an autonomous and seamless bidirectional control method using a variable current limiter is proposed for mode change. A 1.8 kW engineering sample of the proposed converter has been built and tested to verify the validity of the proposed concept. The maximum efficiencies, including gate driver and control circuit losses, are 96.4% in charging mode and 96.1% in discharging mode.
