정상 한국인의 성별 체형정보와 MDVP 변수간의 상관관계 연구 (A Study on the Correlation between Body-Size and MDVP Parameters in the Normal Male and Female Korean Population)

  • This paper intends to investigate the correlation of 12 MDVP measurements with age, sex and body-size of sampled healthy patients. In order to extract pitch and 12 MDVP parameters efficiently and display the correlation of each parameter easily, we developed the speech analysis program using C/C++ and MFC development tool. The sample group consists of 205 males and 343 females with ages 9-81. We collected vowel voices /a/ and 8 body-size measurements from them. Body-size values were taken at 8 different torso positions of each person. We analyzed the matched voice samples and body-size measurements by the developed speech analysis program and SPSS program. The result shows that a typical characteristic age-F0 pattern that F0 of male subjects are rapidly decreased after mutational period and have stable state with age and that of female subjects are slowly changed by overall age. In MDVP, age-STD in males, age-sPPQ in females relationships are especially similar to the age-F0 relationship. In case of male group, sPPQ(0.316%), Jitt(0.04%), Shim(0.25%), APQ(0.28%) variables are increased with age after mutational period. And Jitt(0.042%), sPPQ(0.219%) of females group are increased with age too. In cases of height, weight and BMI there exists a weak correlation with MDVP, which shows a correlation coefficient below 0.25 about male and female groups. The survey of correlation relationship between 8 body-size measurements and MDVP shows a insignificant statistical result by only just having the correlation coefficient maximum in M8-8 and F0(-0.394%) for males and M8-6,7(-0.368%, -0.364%) for females.

서양 음악을 전공으로 하는 성악인의 음향학적 분석 (Acoustic Analysis of Classically Trained Western Singers)

  • 1) 음성 장애를 호소하지 않는 성악인 50명중 여자는 59% 남자는 50%에서 후두스트로보스코피상 성대 병변이 발견되었다. 2) 성종별로는 소프라노에서 가장 성대 병변의 발생률이 높았다(66.7 %). 3) 최장발성 지속시간은 성악인의 경우 성대 병변에 관계없이 일반 정상인에 비해서 증가되어 있었으며 특히 정상 성대를 가진 여자 성악인에서는 일반인에 비해 통계적으로 의의 있게 증가되어 있었다. 4) 기본진동수, 기본진동수 표준편차, 기본진동수변 이들은 성악인이 일반인에 비해 안정되어 있었고, jitter. PPQ는 성악인이 성대 병변이 있더라도 일반인에 비해 감소되어 있었으며, 특히 남자 성악인에서는 통계적으로 유의하게 감소되어 있었고, Shimmer. APQ 역시 성악인이 성대 병변이 있더라도 일반인에 비해 통계적으로 의의 있게 감소되어 있었다.

성대결절 환자의 음성장애에 대한 청지각적 및 음향학적 평가 (Auditory-Perceptual and Acoustic Assessment in Measuring Dysphonia Severity of Vocal Fold Nodules)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정상 집단과 성대결절 집단의 음성을 음향학적 측정(AVQI), 청지각적 평가(GRBAS, CAPE-V)를 수행하여 그 차이와 상관관계를 조사하는 것이다. 이를 위해 성대결절 환자 335명의 음성 샘플을 음향학적으로 분석하고, 3명의 평가자를 통해서 청지각적 평가를 실시하였다. 연구결과, 정상 집단의 AVQI, grade(G), overall severity(OS) 점수는 성대결절 집단의 점수보다 낮게 평가되었다. 청지각적 척도간의 상관관계에서는 GRBAS의 G 척도와 CAPE-V의 OS 척도는 상관관계가 높은 것으로 나타났고, 음향학적 측정 AVQI와 G, OS 간의 상관관계도 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 두 집단 간의 AVQI, G, OS를 감별하는 역치값은 각각 ${\leq}4.06$, ${\leq}1$, ${\leq}26$ 였으며, 예측진단력은 0.840, 0.860,0.848이었다. 결론적으로 AVQI와 청지각적 평가를 통하여 성대결절 음성에 대한 선별 가능성을 높일 수 있고, 음성장애의 진단 및 치료 계획수립에 도움을 줄 것으로 사료된다.

한방치료로 운동 기능장애와 실성증이 호전된 파킨슨증후군 환자 치험 1례 (A Case Report of Korean Medical Treatment on Parkinsonism Patient Complaining of Motor Disorder and Aphonia)

  • ■Objectives This case study is to report the effectiveness of Korean medicine in Parkinsonism patient's treatment. ■Methods We used the acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping therapy, herbal medicine, especially Palmulgunja-tang to the Parkinsonism patient with motor disorder such as Postural Instability and Gait Difficulty(PIGD) and aphonia. Unified Parkinson's Disease Rating Scale(UPDRS), analysis of gait pattern, voice dB and self-evaluation of speed and volume were used to assess the change of symptoms. ■Results ‌After treatment, the UPDRS score decreased in overall category and the walking pattern has improved. In addition, the improvement was observed in voice volume and in self assessment of the patient. ■Conclusion This case suggests the effect of Korean medical treatment on motor disorder and aphonia in Parkinsonism.

기능성 음성장애의 진단을 위한 음향학적, 청지각적 평가 (Acoustic Analysis and Auditory-Perceptual Assessment for Diagnosis of Functional Dysphonia)

  • Background and Objectives : The purpose of this study was to compare the measured values of acoustic and auditory perceptual assessments between normal and functional dysphonia (FD) groups. Materials and Methods : 102 subjects with FD and 59 normal voice groups were participated in this study. Mid-vowel portion of the sustained vowel /a/ and two sentences of 'Sanchaek' were edited, concatenated, and analyzed by Praat script. And then auditory-perceptual (AP) rating was completed by three listeners. Results : The FD group showed higher acoustic voice quality index version 2.02 and version 3.01 (AVQIv2 and AVQIv3), slope, Hammarberg index (HAM), grade (G) and overall severity (OS), values than normal group. Additionally, smoothed cepstral peak prominence in Praat (PraatCPPS), tilt, low-to high spectral band energies (L/H ratio), long-term average spectrum (LTAS) in FD group were lower than normal voice group. And the correlation among measured values ranged from -0.250 to 0.960. In ROC curve analysis, cutoff values of AVQIv2, AVQIv3, PraatCPPS, slope, tilt, L/H ratio, HAM, and LTAS were 3.270, 2.013, 13.838, -22.286, -9.754, 369.043, 27.912, and 34.523, respectively, and the AUC of each analysis was over .890 in AVQIv2, AVQIv3, and PraatCPPS, over 0.731 in HAM, tilt, and slope, over 0.605 in LTAS and L/H ratio. Conclusions : In conclusion, AVQI and CPPS showed the highest predictive power for distinguishing between normal and FD groups. Acoustic analyses and AP rating as noninvasive examination can reinforce the screening capability of FD and help to establish efficient diagnosis and treatment process plan for FD.

국방분야 인공지능 저변화를 위한 대한민국 국방 인공지능 추진전략 (The AI Promotion Strategy of Korea Defense for the AI Expansion in Defense Domain)

  • 최근 인공지능은 민간분야에서는 급속히 확산, 대중화 되어 음성인식 개인 서비스 분야로 확대되면서 보급화 되었고 주요 강대국은 인공지능 추진전략을 수립하였지만 한국 국방분야의 경우에는 분야 특수성과 함께 북한과의 지정학적 위치로 파급력은 낮은 실정이다. 본 논문은 이러한 한국의 국방 인공지능 파급력을 높이고 인공지능을 성공적으로 추진하기 위해 로드맵 확립, 인력 확보, 인공지능 기반 확립, 이해관계자들의 협력 강화 등 총 6가지 대한민국 국방 인공지능 추진전략을 제시한다. 또한 제시된 추진전략에 대해서 4가지 제약사항을 분석하고 극복 방안을 제안함으로써 국방분야의 인공지능 저변확대를 위해 초석을 다질 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

Statistical Analysis of a Subjective QoE Assessment for VVoIP Applications

  • A successful deployment of multimedia applications over wireless environments entails improving the quality of service (QoS), not only from a technical point of view, but also considering the quality of experience (QoE) from the final user's perception. Although objective QoE measure models avoid the difficulties of subjective surveys, subjective QoE assessments are essential to understand the way users evaluate the QoS. In this work, we study the effect of a wide range of parameters on the QoE of VVoIP applications in a real wireless scenario. Through a complete statistical analysis of users' ratings, we identify the following facts. Although the use of VVoIP in wireless networks does not yet represent an advantage for users, there are great expectations for all applications under study, and with greater popularity comes higher expectations. It is easier for respondents to identify good behavior than poor behavior. Whereas the respondents' frequency of Internet use does not impact on the scores, respondents' gender does. Finally, the most determining parameters of quality from a user's perspective were instability, video quality, voice distortion, usefulness, and graphical interface.

성대용종의 중증도와 음향지수의 상관관계 (A Study of Correlation Between Severity of Vocal Polyp and Acoustic Parameters)

  • Background and Objectives: Vocal polyp is the most common disease that causes hoarseness and its incidence is increased currently. The purposes of this study are to investigate the correlation between severity of vocal polyp and acoustic parameters and compare these data with those of the normal Korean. Materials and Methods: We analyzed the acoustic parameters of sustained vowel for 70 vocal polyp patients and 20 normal controls. A CSL(computerized speech lab) was used to carry out the analysis of the voice sample and statistical analysis was used Spearman correlation coefficient & t-test. Results: According to the conclusion of correlation analysis, 21 parameters of all the 34 parameters are significant. Conclusion: These data will be served as basic data for the evaluation of postoperative assessment of the patients with vocal polyp.

Multiple Inputs Deep Neural Networks for Bone Age Estimation Using Whole-Body Bone Scintigraphy

  • The cosmetic and behavioral aspects of aging have become increasingly evident over the years. Physical aging in people can easily be observed on their face, posture, voice, and gait. In contrast, bone aging only becomes apparent once significant bone degeneration manifests through degenerative bone diseases. Therefore, a more accurate and timely assessment of bone aging is needed so that the determinants and its mechanisms can be more effectively identified and ultimately optimized. This study proposed a deep learning approach to assess the bone age of an adult using whole-body bone scintigraphy. The proposed approach uses multiple inputs deep neural network architectures using a loss function, called mean-variance loss. The data set was collected from Chonnam National University Hwasun Hospital. The experiment results show the effectiveness of the proposed method with a mean absolute error of 3.40 years.

말소리와 성격 이미지 (Speech sound and personality impression)

  • Regardless of their intention, listeners tend to assess speakers' personalities based on the sounds of the speech they hear. Assessment criteria, however, have not been fully investigated to indicate whether there is any relationship between the acoustic cue of produced speech sounds and perceived personality impression. If properly investigated, the potential relationship between these two will provide crucial insights on the aspects of human communications and further on human-computer interaction. Since human communications have distinctive characteristics of simultaneity and complexity, this investigation would be the identification of minimum essential factors among the sounds of speech and perceived personality impression. The purpose of this study, therefore, is to identify significant associations between the speech sounds and perceived personality impression of speaker by the listeners. Twenty eight subjects participated in the experiment and eight acoustic parameters were extracted by using Praat from the recorded sounds of the speech. The subjects also completed the Neo-five Factor Inventory test so that their personality traits could be measured. The results of the experiment show that four major factors(duration average, pitch difference value, pitch average and intensity average) play crucial roles in defining the significant relationship.
