심볼디자인의 정보전달기능에 따른 한국적 MONOGRAM의 연구 (A Study on Korean Monogram as The Information Communication Function of Symbol)

  • 21세기 정보화시대에 커뮤니케이션의 혼란 속에서 모노그룹(monogram)은 비쥬얼 아이 덴터티를 위한 시각언어로서 정보전달의 매우 중요한 심 볼로 등장하였다. 모노그램은 비쥬얼메세지의 가장 훌륭한 적임자로서, 오늘날 그 역할이 점차 중요시되고 있다. 본 논문은 심볼 디자인의 조형요소로서, 모노그램의 본질과 기능 그리고 상징성 등을 연구하여 심볼을 연구하는 사람들에게 모노그램의 정확한 이해를 통하여 한국적 모노그램의 발전적 가능성에 그 목적을 두었다.

HTML 문서의 시각적 분석을 이용한 사용자 프로파일 생성 (User Profile Generation using Visual Differences of HTML Document)

  • In this study, I've suggested how to improve the function of web-agents to find out the web-document users prefer. Web-agents employ TFIDF, which considers all the worked used in a document as equal in improtance to find out users' preferences. Web-documents like HTML, however, make visual differences by using different sizes of letters and highlighting them based on importance of words. In this study, I've attempted to improve the functions of the web-agents by differentiating the weight of each worked in accordance with the visual importance of each paragraph. To enhance functions, I've suggested how to make a profile from each paragraph to be consolidated later. As to suggested algorithms, I've tested their effects by comparing the established TFIDF algorithm with the function which helps users find documents they prefer.

평형감각 측정기술의 개발 (Development for a method of measurement in equilibrium sense)

  • The study was performed to evaluate the sense of equilibrium by means of rotary chair system in middle school girls with dance learning. Control of equilibrium, which is the most important function in dancing, is maintained by vestibular, visual, and proprioceptive inputs. Experimental groups were divided into trained group with dance (experimental group, 13~14 ys, n=15) and untrained group (control group, 13~14 ys, n=15). experimental group was trained by programmed dancing for 12 weeks, 45 min/day and 5 day/week. Gain of eye movement was measured for vestibulocular reflex (VOR), visual vestibular stimulation (VVOR), optokinetic stimulation(OKN), and visual fixation (VFX). The gain of eye movement at higher than 0.08 hz was significant decrease in experimental group, and VVOR showed the similar fashion to VOR. The gain in OKN and VFX was not significant difference between experimental and control groups. These results suggest that programmed training of dancing improves control of balance by adaptation of the vestibular function, and rotary chair system would be useful to evaluate the sense of equilibrium ability.

  • We propose a novel method to measure moving picture quality of display. This method simulates human visual system based on CSF (Contrast Sensitivity Function). And it evaluates moving picture quality of display on the image captured by pursuit camera. The results from this method are correlated with human visual perception test very well.

Development of Training Instruments on Visual functions using HMD type Display and Investigation of its Demand

  • We constructed 3-D images by HMD (Head Mount Display) type and polarization technique through which a training instrument of binocular function based on clinical vision therapy was developed and investigated its demand. To design the instrument that performs Test- Diagnosis - (Prescription) - Training - Treatment we provided a customized training method for the trainers using optical IT instruments of binocular test. Through the contents and the instruments of the vision therapy technology developed in this work we can replace the current vision test instruments to those costing 60% lower price in eye clinics and eye glasses shops. By replacing the existing vision test instruments it is possible to create a new market of the vision therapy in vision training instruments.

감각조절장애 아동에 대한 가정 프로그램의 적용 - 사례연구 (The Home-based Program for Child with Sensory Modulation Disorder: Case Study)

  • Objective: To evaluate the effectiveness of the home-based program composed of sensory diet for child with sensory modulation disorder. Method: The subject underwent the home-based program composed of sensory diet for 8 months. Evaluation tools we used are the Developmental Screening Test II(DDSTII) for developmental screening; the Short Sensory Profile(SSP), clinical observation and the clinical history record form for sensory integrative function; the Motor-Free Visual Perception Test(MVPT) and draw a person test for visual perception. Evaluation was executed before and after the program is provided. Results: The subject has showed remarkable improvement in developmental level, sensory integrative function and visual perceptual ability after went through the home-based program. Conclusion: The home-based program composed of sensory diet is effective for children with sensory modulation disorder when it is difficult to apply classical sensory integrative approach.

A Study on Safety of Environmental Cleaners' Noctilucent Jackets

  • This research chose 135 environmental cleaners in Busan Metropolitan City as subjects. First, the reality of wearing their safety jackets was investigated. Next, visual evaluation of the reflexive function of the current safety jackets was made. Then, based on the above results and the subsequent improvement proposal, the final product, the research costume, was made. 1. Based on the investigation of the wearing reality of safety jackets and the visual evaluation results of the reflexive function, an improvement proposal was made. As cleaners are usually seen sidewise on the roads and lateral luminosity is rather low, this aspect was compensated on the part of a jacket. Also, the reflexive belt used the diagram of ${\Delta}$ to improve visual effects. 2. As the lower body held the accident frequency of 45.0%, the sides of pants had the reflexive belt to increase visibility. 3. In consideration of the mutual effects between the background cloth and general reflexive width, the same width (5cm) of the reflexive belt as that of Type A was adopted.

MMTF와 인간지각 특성을 이용한 결함성분 추출기법 (Defect Detection Method using Human Visual System and MMTF)

  • AVI (Automatic Vision Inspection) systems automatically detect defect features and measure their sizes via camera vision. Defect detection is not an easy process because of noises from various sources and optical distortion. In this paper the acquired images from a TFT panel are enhanced with the adoption of an HVS (Human Visual System). A human visual system is more sensitive on the defect area than the illumination components because it has greater sensitivity to variations of intensity. In this paper we modified an MTF (Modulation Transfer Function) in the Wavelet domain and utilized the characteristics of an HVS. The proposed algorithm flattens the inner illumination components while preserving the defect information intact.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the performance of robot by providing visual function with robot and developing high-functioned controller and control program. The developed high-functioned controller and software have the better accuracy and flexibility in the movement of robot by complementing the existing robot controller and software problems. To provide visual function to robot, camera calibration, thresholding and contouring tools are also developed and applied in this study. These tools help robot recognize the central points and orientations of objects on work-bench.

MBTI의 인식기능(S/N), 판단기능(T/F)에 대한 PR-VEP 특성연구 (Study about PR-VEP Characteristics on Perception Function and Judgement Function of MBTI)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 MBTI의 인식기능(S/N)과 판단기능(T/F)에 대한 문양역전 시각유발전위(PR-VEP)의 특성을 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 연구 대상자는 20세 이상의 성인남녀 136명을 대상으로 2013년 7월부터 8월까지 2개월 동안 PR-VEP와 MBTI검사를 실시하였다. PR-VEP검사는 32채널 뇌파측정기를 이용하여 O1, O2에서 측정하였고, MBTI검사는 Form-M 온라인검사방법을 이용하였다. 연구결과는 S지표 선호집단에서 PR-VEP의 N75와 P100 사이의 시간간격(Duration)이 5.49 ms 유의미하게 짧았고, F지표 선호집단에서 PR-VEP의 N75가 나타나기까지의 잠복기(Latency)가 O1에서 4.83 ms, O2에서 4.27 ms 유의미하게 짧았다. 이는 S유형과 F유형의 특징이 시각적 인지기능과 관계가 있다는 것을 의미하는 것으로, MBTI의 인식기능/판단기능 각 지표에 대한 뇌과학적 해석을 더할 수 있다는 점이 본 연구가 갖는 의의이다.
