  • This paper investigates the droop control of parallel inverters for an islanded mode of microgrid. Frequency and voltage droop control is one of power control and load demand sharing methods. However, although the active power is properly shared, the reactive power sharing is inaccurate with conventional method due to the unequal line impedances and the power coupling of active - reactive power. In order to solve this problem, an improved droop method with virtual inductor concept and a voltage and current controller properly designed have been considered and analyzed through the PSiM simulation. The performance of improved droop method is analyzed in not only low-voltage line but also medium voltage line.

  • In design stage of vehicles, the application of virtual durability analysis techniques enables us to cut down the necessary time and cost to carry out various physical experiments. In this study, computer simulations of vehicle suspensions were carried out with DADS program including component flexibility, and the durability analysis of vehicle components was executed with MSC/Fatigue program using the load history obtained from vehicle dynamic simulation. Driving test of a vehicle was also carried out to obtain precise input data for the durability analysis, and the results of virtual durability analysis were compared to those of experiments.

Design of steel moment frames considering progressive collapse

  • In this study the progressive collapse potential of three- and nine-story special steel moment frames designed in accordance with current design code was evaluated by nonlinear static and dynamic analyses. It was observed that the model structures had high potential for progressive collapse when a first story column was suddenly removed. Then the size of beams required to satisfy the failure criteria for progressive collapse was obtained by the virtual work method; i.e., using the equilibrium of the external work done by gravity load due to loss of a column and the internal work done by plastic rotation of beams. According to the nonlinear dynamic analysis results, the model structures designed only for normal load turned out to have strong potential for progressive collapse whereas the structures designed by plastic design concept for progressive collapse satisfied the failure criterion recommended by the GSA guideline.

  • 본 연구에서는 구조물의 변위 제약조건을 고려한 위상 최적설계를 체스판무늬 검색 알고리즘과 가상하중을 이용하여 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 변위 제약조건의 민감도 계산을 위하여 가상 변위장을 도입하였으며, 밀도와 유효강성계수의 상관관계를 정의하기 위하여 가상재료를 도입하였다. 또한, 선형 유한요소를 이용한 위상 최적화 기법에서 일반적으로 나타나는 체스판무늬를 제거하기 위하여 밀도 재분배방법을 이용하였다. 그리고, 변위 제약조건을 고려한 경우와 그렇지 않은 경우의 수치예제를 비교 검토함으로써 본 연구의 타당성을 검증하였다.

  • This paper deals with the issue of force synchronizing control for the clamping servomechanism of injection molding machines. Prior to the controller design, a virtual design model has been developed for the clamping mechanism with hydraulic systems. Then, a synchronizing controller is designed and combined with an adaptive feedforward control in order to accommodate the mismatches between the real plant and the linear model plant used. As a disturbance, the leakage due to the ring gap with relative motion in the cylinder has been introduced. From the robust force tracking simulations, it is shown that a significant reduction in the force synchronizing error is achieved through the use of a proposed control scheme.

An open Scheduling Framework for QoS resource management in the Internet of Things

  • Quality of Service (QoS) awareness is recognized as a key point for the success of Internet of Things (IOT).Realizing the full potential of the Internet of Things requires, a real-time task scheduling algorithm must be designed to meet the QoS need. In order to schedule tasks with diverse QoS requirements in cloud environment efficiently, we propose a task scheduling strategy based on dynamic priority and load balancing (DPLB) in this paper. The dynamic priority consisted of task value density and the urgency of the task execution, the priority is increased over time to insure that each task can be implemented in time. The scheduling decision variable is composed of time attractiveness considered earliest completion time (ECT) and load brightness considered load status information which by obtain from each virtual machine by topic-based publish/subscribe mechanism. Then sorting tasks by priority and first schedule the task with highest priority to the virtual machine in feasible VMs group which satisfy the QoS requirements of task with maximal. Finally, after this patch tasks are scheduled over, the task migration manager will start work to reduce the load balancing degree.The experimental results show that, compared with the Min-Min, Max-Min, WRR, GAs, and HBB-LB algorithm, the DPLB is more effective, it reduces the Makespan, balances the load of VMs, augments the success completed ratio of tasks before deadline and raises the profit of cloud service per second.

  • A traffic analysis on the Internet has an advantage for obtaining the characteristics of transferred packets. There were many studies to understand the characteristics of the Internet traffic with mathematical statistical approach. The approach of this study is different from previous studies. We first introduced a virtual network concept to present the Internet as a simplified mathematical model. It also represents each traffic flowing on the Internet as a parallel Gaussian channel on the virtual network. We suggest the optimal capacity of each parallel Gaussian channel using some related studies on the Gaussian channel model.

  • 본 연구에서는 불확실성과 부하 변동 하에 브러쉬없는 직접구동 전동기의 정확한 사전결정 추적성능을 제공하기 위한 새로운 개선된 강인한 가변구조 추적 제어기를 설계하였다. 리칭 페이즈를 제거하기 위한 특수 적분 슬라이딩 변은 서보 전동기의 초기 위치부터 이상 슬라이딩 모드와 가상 이상 슬라이딩 궤적을 정의한다 . 영이 아닌 슬라이딩 면에 의하여 발생되는 추적오차를 유도하였다. 외란 관측기를 갖는 연속 입력을 제안하여 불확실성과 부하 변동 하에 사전 결정 가상 이상 슬라이딩 궤적을 사전 값 내에 추적하도록 한다. 제안된 알고리듬의 유용성을 부하 변동 하에 브러쉬없는 직접구동 전동기에 대한 비교 시뮬레이션으로 입증한다.

무효전력 흐름 추적을 이용한 무효전력 취약지역 판단 (Reactive Power Traceable System based Vulnerable Areas Detection for Reactive Power)

  • The paper analyzes reactive power flow characteristic in power system by reactive power tracing. In addition, virtual buses are inserted in the algorithm to consider losses of transmission lines, and shunt capacitor treated as a reactive power generator. The results of simulation are analyzed by two points of view. The one is load’s point of view and another is generator’s point of view. Classic purpose of the reactive power tracing consists in the reactive power pricing. However, it is significantly used to select vulnerable area about line outage in this paper. To find the vulnerable area, reactive power tracing variations between pre-contingency and post-contingency are calculated at all load buses. In heavily load area, buses which has highest variation become the most vulnerable bus. This method is applied to the IEEE 39-bus system. It is compared with voltage variation result and VQ-margin to verify its effect.
