  • The technique for synthesizing reactive motion in real-time is important in many applications such as computer games and virtual reality. This paper presents a dynamic motion control technique for creating reactive motions in a physically based character animation system. The leg to move in the next step is chosen using the direction of external disturbance forces and states of human figures and then is lifted though joint PD control. We decide the target position of the foot to balance the body without leg cross. Finally, control mechanism is used to generate reactive motion. The advantage of our method is that it is possible to generate reactive animations without example motions.

  • Having pet is one of the activities people living in modern society do to relieve stress and find peace of mind. Currently, the object of companion animals has moved beyond being a real 'living entity' and has developed to a stage where the animal's upbringing process can be enjoyed in a virtual space by being programmed in digital content. This paper studies detailed elements such as character design, interaction, and realism of 'Tamagotchi (1996)', which can be said to be the beginning of digital training content, and 'Peridot (2023)', a recently introduced augmented reality-based training content. The point was that it was training content using portable electronic devices. However, while the environment in the electronic device in which Tamagotchi's character exists was a simple black and white screen, the environment in which Peridot's character operates has been changed to the real world projected on the screen based on augmented reality. Mutual communication with characters in Tamagotchi remained a response to pressing buttons, but in Peridot, it has advanced to the point where you can pet the characters by touching the smartphone screen. In addition, through object and step recognition, it was confirmed that the sense of reality had become more realistic, with toys thrown by users on the screen bouncing off real objects. We hope that this research material will serve as a useful reference for the development of digital training content to be developed in the near future.

  • Rapid technology growth of hardware have brought about development and expansion of various digital motion pictured information including 3-Dimension. 3D digital techniques can be used to be diversity in Animation, Virtual-Reality, Movie, Advertisement, Game and so on. 3D characters in digital motion picture take charge of the core as to communicate emotions and information to users through sounds, facial expression and characteristic motions. Concerns about 3D motion and facial expression is getting higher with extension of frequency in use and range about 3D character design. In this study, the facial expression can be used as a effective method about implicit emotions will be studied and research 3D character's facial expressions and muscles movement which are based on human anatomy and then try to find effective method of facial expression. Finally, also, study the difference and distinguishing between 2D and 3D character through the preceding study what I have researched before.

  • The feature of digital media's interactivity made the traditional storytelling to be evolved into a new concept of digital storytelling. Unlike films or animations, games' storytelling takes open-ended design method; thus, it is possible to create unlimited number of stones within a game depending upon the decisions of player characters. In this paper, a character-centered game storytelling system of a highly story-based RPG genre will be reviewed, and, it analyzes case studies of how a character with various story values can interact with its background story, virtual game world, and many events in its game storytelling system. Game storytelling structure and game mechanics are related to each other very closely. Therefore, it is possible to control the player's overall movement as the character's story develops according to a predictable structure or situation.

  • The game & multimedia industry is a high-valued industry comparing to any industry. Also, it has been shown the possibility as considerably bright future industry due to a development of the Internet, an explosive growth of on-line game market, and a union with virtual reality technology Since an on-line game having a clear profit model is expanding to PC and other platform, it brings to us a large change throughout the whole game industry. In order to develop a game, we need a number of elements. A game character among them delivers to a user the overall characteristics of a game as a visual representation and makes us access to a game directly and sensuously. A game character of on-line game is considerable in an operation in the volume of initial sales from a viewpoint of marketing. In addition, it affects to secure users and be immersed in a game. In this paper, we propose a production skill of an efficient 3D game character for 3D on-line game.

  • First of all, What was the modeling technique used to model 3D-Game character? It's a technique developed along several years, by experience... here is the bases Low polygons characters I always work in low polygon for two reasons -You can easily modify a low-poly character, change shapes, make morph for facial expressions etc -You can easily animate a low-poly character When the modeling is finished, Second, In these days, Computer hardware technologies have been bring about that expansion of various 3D digital motion pictured information and development. 3D digital techniques can be used to be diversity in Animation, Virtual-Reality, Movie, Advertisement, Game and so on. Besides, as computing power has been better and higher, the development of 3D Animations and Character are required gradually. In order to satisfy the requirement, Research about how to make 3D Game modeling that represents Character's emotions, sensibilities, is beginning to set its appearance. 3D characters in 3D Games are the core for the communications of emotion and the informations through their facial expression and characteristic motions, Sounds to Users. All concerning about 3D motion and facial expression are getting higher with extension of frequency in use. Therefore, in this study we suggest the effective method of modeling for 3D character and which are based on 2D Graphics.

  • To contribute towards more accurate estimation of the virtual coefficient for the vertical vibration of the chine-type ship, experimentally obtained three-dimensional correction factors, J, of added mass of prismatic beams having cross section shape of hypotrocoid characters, slightly concaved Lewis form and elliptic form are investigated in connection with the applicability of an approximate analytical calculation method compared to that proposed by T. Kumai[6] for the Lewis form cylinders, and synthetically in compared with the experimental works on various cross section shapes of the other type by L.C. Burril et al[8] and the analytical works on the ellipsoid of revolution by F.M. Lewis[1] and J.L. Taylor[2]. The experimental results show that the aforementioned analytical method gives, unlike that for the Lewis form cylinders, considerably larger J-values for the chine-type cylinders, and that the influence of the character of the cross section shape on J-values is not remarkable in practical sense. Finally, considering in synthesis the experimental results on prismatic beams, the Burril's works on palabolic plan form and elliptic plan form, and that the chine-type ship usually has a hull form of transom stern, it is fairly safe to say, at the present stage, that adoptation of the Taylor's J-values will not results in any large error in estimation of the virtual inertia coefficients of the chine-type ships.

  • This study is to explore the usability of a pattern making software 'Looks tailor X' developed recently by the Digital Fashion in line with the cloth simulation software 'DressingSim'. When the software engineers develop software for clothes and clothing simulations, most often they lose touch of real-world craftsmanship of pattern making. As such, the software evaluation of the functionality and the usability is a crucial step in the field of virtual clothing. We carried out a detailed evaluation of the software via the process of making some basic types of pattern including tight skirts, pants, jackets, and one-piece dress. In this paper, we documented a step-by-step scenarios of making clothes using the Looks tailor X, and listed both the advantages and limitations of the software from the perspective of an enduser, i.e., a professional fashion designer. We also briefed suggestions on the refinement of the future software in the field.
