  • In this paper the construction of vibration isolator using induction motor and its experiments are introduced. The vibration isolator is composed by plate, crank, electric motor and laser sensor to measure the displacement of plate. A control scheme to isolate the vibration signals due to the load variance and disturbance is designed with pole-placement and Routh-Huritz method. Experiments are also applied to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.

  • This paper introduces the brief guidelines on general aspects of tests and experiments with human subjects. Detailed methods for measuring whole-body vibration are reviewed for those tests and experiments and compared each other. Such comparison is found to be very useful in choosing adequate methods for human related tests and experiments. Of course, it is also expected to be very meaningful to our automotive research and industrial fields that are critical to the ride quality of their products with uncomfortable acoustic noise and vibration.

전단벽식 건축구조물 수직진동의 수평방향 전달특성에 관한 실험연구 (An Experimental Study on the Vertical Vibration Transfer in Horizontal Way according to Shear Wall Building Structures due to Exciting Vibration Forces)

  • In general, the vertical vibration problems for strength of members and serviceability of building structures are not considered in structural design process, but the prediction of the vertical vibration is very important and essential to structural design process. This study aims to investigate the characteristics of vertical vibration in terms of the transfer of horizontal directions to near-rooms on the shear wall building structures. In order to examine the characteristics of vertical vibration, the modal test and the impact (heel-drop and hammer) excitation experiments were conducted several times on two building structure. The results from the experiments are analyzed and compared with the results. The results of this study suggest that the characteristics of vertical vibration transfer in horizontal way are effected from the fundamental frequency of the slabs, and are effected the shear wall on the Path of the vibration transfer.

  • Extraordinary displacement and vibration by heavy vehicle causes passengers to feel mental uncomfortableness and bridge to be damaged. To increase serviceability, the research on the human influence for vibration to happen at the bridge has been performed for a long time in oversea but it does not draw concern relatively in the domestic. The purpose of this research is to develop an evaluation method for vibration serviceability of continuous slab bridge. This research is focused on establishing theoretical method to assess vibration serviceability of bridge considering natural frequency, displacement, and acceleration since the criteria for the human responses to vibration is generally based on frequency band. By examining the characteristics of vibration serviceability which has been assessed with human response curve through field experiments as well as analytical study, the evaluation method of vibration serviceability for continuous slab bridges is proposed. Based on applications to the example of continuous slab bridge, the simple evaluation of vibration serviceability in the paper may be used in the initial step of design practice.

  • Development of the linear motors is recently required to control a high-speed and high-resolution in the high-integrated and speed process industry. This paper presents vibration analyses as well as measurement standards of the newly developed linear motors through analyzing the vibration characteristics of the advanced products. Vibration experiments are conducted for identifying vibration level during operation. They are also included in the modal test to analyze dynamic characteristics. Analytic data using Finite Element Method (FEM) are compared with the results of the modal. The FEM and experiments make it possible to understand these characteristics. Further, through computer simulation for the behavior of moving part to be vibration source, the best acceleration pattern of moving part movement can be verified to achieve effective moving part positioning and reduce the vibration due to moving part movement.

  • 본 연구에서는 무작위 진동 기법을 통하여 물성이 알려져 있지 않은 모래 지반 위에 놓인 강성기초의 수직 진동 거동을 분석하는 방법을 제안하였다. 수직 진동 체험을 위한 모형 기초는 질량비와 반경이 다른 11개의 도형 기초를 제작 사용하였으며 실험 지반은 모래를 성토하여 이용하였다. 연구 결과, 본 연구에서 제안된 방법은 지반을 반무한탄성체로 가정한 단순화된 에널로그보다 정확한 진동 거동이 추정되었다. 본 방법에 의한 추정 공진 진동수는 실측 공진 진동수두 잘 일치하였으며, 실측 변위에 대한 추정 공진 변위의 비는 본 실험 지반에 대하여 0.5~1.35의 범위에 있음을 알 수 있었다.

  • An automatic Q. C. tester for a production line of electric grinder is developed using vibration signals. The methods of measuring and analyzing the vibration signals are found through several experiments at laboratory and production line. The experiments show that checking a vibration signal at running condition only, without any sound signal, is enough to judge whether the product is good or not. The Q. C. tester is made of accelerometer and PC. Measured vibration signal using accelerometer is transmitted to PC through A/D board. Vibration level are calculated using FFT algorithm in PC for already selected five frequency bands, which can specify the cause of fault. The Judging criteria of vibration levels of each bands are decided through a lot of experiment with the comparison of manual judgement.

  • Modern military equipments are tend to be mounted on a movable truck for their survivability and operation performance. Special units and electronic equipments installed on the truck experience the vibration caused by road roughness during their transport. The level of the transportation vibration is affected by both road conditions and vehicle speeds. In this paper, various experiments on the vibration characteristics of the equipment are carried out via road tests. Transportation vibration is also investigated by numerical analysis using FEM, and natural frequencies and random responses of the launcher are obtained. The PSD and RMS values of acceleration of the equipment are predicted and compared with test results.
