  • This is to provide basic information and technical data, supported by literature search, for use in designing and /or evaluating ventilation systems for broiler shelters. At first, the general design information including weather data, building requirements, ventilation requirements, and supplemental heating and cooling, was presented. Then, environment requirements for broilers, which are for temperature, humidity, air movement, radiant heat, were described and the optimal ventilation systems for broiler were developed.

인접 터널로부터의 재유입을 고려한 터널 내 소요환기량 산정 연구 (A Study of Ventilation Requirements for Tunnel Considering Recirculation near Tunnel Portals)

  • This paper analyzes difference between current tunnel ventilation calculation method and advanced one which considers effects of polluted air recirculation near tunnel portals. For the calculation, CFD(Computational fluid dynamics) technique was utilized. From the result, it was found that 4.38% more fresh air is required when there is polluted air recirculation near tunnel portal areas. Hence, it is recommanded that the consideration of polluted air recirculation should be made when deciding the ventilation requirements for tunnel.

  • In this study, a design program for ventilation requirements of a longitudinal raod tunnel were developed and investigated. The control volume method was applied to calculate the local air velocity and the local concentration distribution of pollutants, CO, $NO_x$, soot along the tunnel for various tunnel ventilation system. This program was validated by comparing with the practical design data for the road tunnel ventilation system. The calculation results were in good agreement with the practical design data.

취침 시 환기횟수에 따른 $CO_2$ 피크치 제어에 관한 연구 (A Research on the $CO_2$ Peak Point Control According to Ventilation Rate During Sleeping)

  • Ventilation requirement of apartment was mandated according to building equipment standards in 2006. When ventilation unit was considering for indoor air quality maintenance, we needed energy saving and efficiency ventilation control methods. This study carried out experiment of ventilation rate 0.7 adequacy. When we lived in apartment, we assumed that sleeping time was long stayed time in unconsciousness. Experiments carried out ventilation rate 0, 0.1, 0.4 and 0.7 in environment chamber from 22 o'clock to 06 o'clock, the concentration of $CO_2$, temperature and humidity rate measured. Analyzing the results, conclusions are as follows. 1) When we sleep in bedroom, ventilation rate 0.4 meet the requirements of domestic legal standards. Conform fan of similarity law, ventilation rate 0.4 reduced power cost about 80% than 0.7. 2) In generally sleeping time 8 hours, peak point control reduced running time of ventilation unit about 43% than normal control.

  • As the economic living standards are higher, the demands for more comfortable living space are also larger. In the response of this requirements, studies for improving indoor air environment have been conducted. In case of newly-built apartment buildings, the standard for the minimum ventilation to improve their indoor air quality was made. This study analysed the experimental results from the mock-up test of the hybrid ventilation system which is composed of natural and mechanical ventilation.

전산 유체 해석에 의한 자동차 운반선 내부 환기 시스템 평가 (Assessment of Ventilation System for Ro/Ro Ship Using CFD)

  • Due to emission of vehicles during loading/unloading, ventilation system in Roll-on/Roll-off ship is inevitable; however it is very difficult to predict the ventilation performance before it is finally built in. Although the requirements for the ventilation system include air change rate and maximum allowable concentration of CO in the cargo holds, even prototype tests are hardly able to quantify the ventilation performance. In the present paper, a new method to assess the ventilation performance of Roll-on/Roll-off ship is proposed by using computational fluid dynamics. The air exchange is modeled by introducing multi-species transport of existing air In the holds and new air from the ventilation system. Conservation of multi-species as well as 3D Navier-Stokes equation are solved numerically in time dependent manner. Several cases of different configuration are considered. The results include predicted mass fraction of new air in the holds. It is also presented that CO concentration can be estimated based on the predicted air change performance. Due to the lack of experimental data, the computed results are not verified; however the proposed method can be applied as au assessment tool.

경유승용차 도입이 터널 소요환기량에 미치는 영향분석 (The effects of introduction of diesel passenger cars on the ventilation requirements for road tunnels)

  • 2005년 하반기부터 국내 승용차시장에 경유승용차의 시판이 허용되면서 시장점유율이 점증하고 있어, 향후 서유럽의 경우와 같은 수준으로 까지도 증가할 것으로 예상된다. 본 연구에서는 경유승용차의 확대보급에 따른 터널 소요환기량 및 환기설비용량 변화를 검토하기 위하여 차령, 차종구성비, 매연 배출량 변화추이를 감안한 기준배출량을 달리하는 3가지 경우를 비교 분석하였다. 전형적인 2km 길이의 2차선 고속도로 터널을 대상으로 한 비교연구에서 현 환기설계기준상의 기준배출량과 경유승용차 구성비 40%를 가정한 Case 1의 경우, 현 설계기준보다 상대적으로 많은 소요환기량 및 환기설비용량을 요구하였다. 차령은 고려하나 경유승용차를 감안하지 않은 기준배출량을 설계에 반영하고 있는 실제 터널을 대상으로 한 Case2와, 차령 및 경유승용차 보급률을 동시에 고려한 배출계수에 의한 기준배출량을 적용한 Case3은 모두 EURO-3 규제기준과 비슷한 수준의 환기특성을 나타내는 것으로 분석되었다. 한편, 국내 기존 환기설계기준에 적용하고 있는 환경부 제작차 허용배출량 기준은 EURO-2 규제기준보다 높은 편으로 조사되었으며, 2006년부터 적용하고 있는 허용배출량 기준은 EURO-4 규제기준과 비슷하게 분석되었다. 본 연구는 향후 국내 경유승용차의 확대보급에 따른 경유차량 구성비의 증가, 매연 배출량 규제에 따른 매연배출량의 감소 등의 변화를 고려한 오염물질의 기준배출량 산정을 통하여 최적 소요환기량 및 환기설비용량 결정을 하기 위한 기초자료의 제공을 목적으로 하고 있다.

  • 방사성 폐기물의 지층 처분장 건설 및 운영을 위한 개념 선정 단계에서는 폐기물 운반 및 거치뿐 아니라, 처분장의 건설/운영/폐쇄 기간 동안 지하 처분장의 작업 환경 및 위생, 안전, 그리고 처분장내의 수분 제거와 같은 향후 처분장의 환경을 위해 처분장 환기시스템에 대한 고려가 향후 처분장의 환경을 위해 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문은 동굴처분 방식의 중-저준위 처분장 및 지하 심부에 위치하게 될 고준위 처분장에 대한 환기시스템 개념설계 기준 및 요구사항에 대한 내용이다. 방사성폐기물 처분장의 환기 시스템에서 가장 주된 기본 설계 개념은 처분장 건설과 폐기물저장을 위한 작업활동을 위해 각각 독립적이고 분리된 환기시스템을 적용하여야 한다는 것이다. 본 논문에서는 방사성폐기물 처분장의 환기시스템의 설계과정에 대해 기술하고 환기회로 모델링 방법, 자연 환기, 환기 모니터링 시스템과 실시간 환기 시뮬레이션, 화재 시뮬레이션 및 비상 방재 시스템에 관한 사항도 논의하였다

  • The building skins are important architectural elements in both functional and aesthetical aspects. This study focuses on developing a responsive facade with autonomous opening and closing behaviors in accordance with environmental conditions and user requirements for natural ventilation for the office building. The pneumatic ETFE panels are applied as the skin materials taking advantage of the efficiency of the inflatable skin of lightness, architectural performance and sustainable material properties. The biomimetic design methodology is taken for its innovative and visionary concept for the facade design. The interpretation of the building facade in analogy to natural organisms delivers functional and aesthetic characters. By exploring the structural movements of the plant pores, the facade control is developed to be autonomous by the parameter values. The facade opening and closing configurations are derived through parametric modeling and visualization programming. Through the application of this study, expected results are to improve user comfort and energy efficiency.

전산유체역학을 통한 간척지 내 벤로형 온실의 자연환기량 분석 (Analysis of Natural Ventilation Rates of Venlo-type Greenhouse Built on Reclaimed Lands using CFD)

  • Recently, the Korean government announced a new development plan for a large-scale greenhouse complex in reclaimed lands. Wind environments of reclaimed land are entirely different from those of inland. Many standard books for ventilation design didn't include qualitative standard for natural ventilation. In this study, natural ventilation rates were analyzed to suggest standard for ventilation design of venlo type greenhouse built on reclaimed land. CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation models were designed according to the number of spans, wind conditions and vent openings. The wind profile at a reclaimed land was designed using ESDU (Engineering Sciences Data Unit) code. Using the designed CFD simulation model, ventilation rates were computed using mass flow rate and tracer gas decay method. Additionally computed natural ventilation rates were evaluated by comparing with ventilation requirements. As a result of this study, ventilation rates were decreased with increasing of the number of spans. Ventilation rates were linearly increased with increasing of wind speed. When the wind speed was $1.0\;m{\cdot}s^{-1}$, only side vent was open and wind direction was $45^{\circ}$, homogeneity of ventilation rate at 0~1 m height is the worst. Finally, chart for computing natural ventilation rate was suggested. The chart was expected to be used for establishing standard of ventilation design.
