This study deals with an important but ignored topic in IS research, the trustee issue. The purpose of this study, performed in the context of mobile banking, is: (1) to broaden the types of trustees (vendors, mobile channel, customers themselves) that customers consider in the adoption of emerging IT services and (2) to investigate the relationships between customer intention to adopt new IT services and trust in three different trustee types. The analysis showed that customers' self-trust is the most important in shaping their intention to adopt mobile banking. Consumer trust in the mobile channel came in second. Unlike the results of previous research, the effect of customers' trust in vendors was insignificant in mobile banking.

Effective Training has been recognized as one of the most important success factors for enterprise resource planning (ERP) system operations. However, both ERP system vendors and user companies have failed to provide an effective training method for users because practical business process cases cannot be formalized. Also, incomplete testing by ERP system vendors results in insufficient and ineffective user training. This paper suggests a scenario framework for ERP testing and training (SF-ETT). SF-ETT is constructed by expanding the practice-based ERP testing scenario construction framework designed for uniERPII. SF-ETT contains concrete business process entities that users understand actually and provides practice definition, notation, and architecture.

This article outlines the capabilities of a viewer component called GridViewer, and proves its reusability. GridViewer was designed for the construction of the image display part of GIS or remote sensing application software, and consequently it is particularly straightforward to closely couple GridViewer with access to very large images. Displaying is performed through pyramid structure, which enables to treat very large dataset up to several gigabytes in size under the limited capability of PC. GridViewer is free from responsibility to handle various formats of raster data files by taking grid coverage, which is designed by OGC to promote interoperability between implementations done by data vendors and software vendors providing analysis and grid processing implementations. GridViewer differs from other such viewer by allowing for clients to extend its function and capability by using small set of methods originally implemented in it. We show its reusability and expandability by applying it in developing application programs performing various functions not supported originally by the GridViewer COM component.

RFM is the sensor model of IKONOS imagery for end-users. IKONOS imagery vendors provide RPC (Rational Polynomial Coefficients), Ration Function Model coefficients for IKONOS, for end-users with imagery. So it is possible that end-users obtain geospatial information in their IKONOS imagery without additional any effort. But there are requirements still fur rigorous 3D positions on RPC user. Provided RPC can not satisfy user and company to generate precision 3D terrain model. In IKONOS imagery, physical sensor modeling is difficult because IKONOS vendors do not provide satellite ephemeris data and abstract sensor modeling requires many GCP well distributed in the whole image as well as other satellite imagery. Therefore RPC modification is better choice. If a few GCP are available, RPC can be modified by method which is introduced in this paper. Study on evaluation modified RPC in IKONOS reports reasonable result. Pseudo GCP generated with vendor's RPC and additional GCP make it possible through sequential solution.

이 연구에서는 부산 울산 경남지역의 대학도서관 전자정보자원 검색시스템과 전자정보자원 제공처의 검색시스템을 분석하였다. 도서관 검색시스템의 접근점과 검색조건들(검색어의 조합방식, 검색어 일치방식, 검색의 상세수준)은 서로 다르고 통일성이 없었다. 제공처 검색시스템의 접근점은 그 종류가 불필요할 정도로 많고 서로 달랐으나 검색조건들은 비교적 정밀하였다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 전자정보자원 검색시스템의 개선을 위한 제언을 하였다.

As the number of digital content service providers increases, a variety of digital rights management (DRM) systems appear without supporting interoperability. The lack of interoperability in DRM systems causes inconvenience to customers, especially when they want to play content through multiple devices manufactured by different vendors. In this letter, we propose a novel method to support interoperability between different DRM systems. The proposed technique aims to build an open framework structure which satisfies DRM vendors' requirements by enhancing the security of intellectual property management and the protection tools.

This paper considers probable determinants of the application software outsourcing costs and focuses on the service level agreement (SLA) influence. Recently, outsourcing clients and vendors have contracted SLA and tried to reflect them on outsourcing prices. While application software maintenance has been one of the most frequently outsourced functions, its cost did not reflect the service level requirements by the client. This paper empirically shows that the service urgency requirement on SLA increases the maintenance programmers' effort and thus increases the vendor's cost. This result can be used by vendors for program allocation purposes.

Many IT specialists say that ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) is the best way to manage resources in enterprise effectively Lots of companies are using ERP solutions in the hope of getting competitiveness and employing global standard business practice. Wishing to take advantage of ERP S/W, companies have a preference for purchasing it and outsourcing ERP project. This paper focuses on ERP Package assessment model in business firms. This paper finds out what differences there are in purchasing ERP S/W for organization characteristics and building characteristics, and suggests some guidelines of S/W development to vendors. The results would be strong implications for ERP vendors. Especially this paper identifies what the reasons and the checkpoints are when firms introduce ERP S/W. To do this, this paper uses empirical data obtained from companies in South Korea and analyzes it using statistical software.

This paper proposes an integrated mobile sink networks management system which can monitor and control various kinds of wireless lan access points, located in many different areas divided by their managing groups, from multi-vendors, and their operations in networks. The proposed system has the center-local interoperability structure cooperating with local-center servers which can perform the same operations as the central servers for wireless lan access points from multi-vendors and wireless lan centric management features. For this purpose, we propose a new way of data design, messaging policy, and hierarchical system structure such that we can achieve stable and consistent management methods for various wireless access points on distributed networks.

An expert system for cucumber disease and nutritional disorders(ESCD) was developed using HCLIPS in which several interface programs were added to CLIPS developed in NASA. The knowledges for constructing knowledge base was obtained from interviews with farmers, agrochemical vendors and employees of agrochemical company. The ESCD is able to diagnose eleven diseases and twelve nutritional disorders which farmers, agrochemical vendors and employees of agrochemical company. The ESCD is able to diagnose eleven diseases and twelve nutritional disorders which could frequently found in fields and greenhouses. Validation of ESCD by twenty -four experts proved a possibility of its practical use for diagnosing cucumber diseases and nutritional disorders in the future.
