CNG/LPLI Bi-Fuel 자동차에서 주행시험 모드와 점화진각에 따른 배출가스 특성 (Exhaust Emissions Characteristics on Driving Cycle Mode and Ignition Advance Condition Change of CNG/LPLI Bi-Fuel Vehicle)

  • Recently rise in oil prices feet the burden on not only diesel vehicle driver but also LPG vehicle driver, and get interested in various way to reduce fuel costs. In this study discuss on exhaust emissions characteristics on driving cycle mode and ignition advance condition change of CNG/LPLI Bi-Fuel vehicle. Experimental test was performed by changing the conditions of fuel (LPG/CNG), spark advance (Base, $10^{\circ}CA$, $15^{\circ}CA$), and driving mode (FTP-75, HWFET, and NEDC). In case of CO emission, in the order of CNG Base, CNG S/A10, S/A15 condition are average reduced -21%, -35%, -29% respectively compared to LPG fuel. The active emission reduction from the initial engine start, spark retard is likely to be beneficial in catalyst warm-up and improve combustion stability rather than spark advance.

  • Recently, emission tests for heavy-duty vehicles have been conducted by heavy-duty engine dynamometer. But, it contains weaknesses that present inconveniences to install and uninstall engines and limitations to reflect on practical characteristics for vehicle driving. On the other hand, chassis dynamometer test is able to differentiate characteristics of real driving patterns due to the reason that vehicles can be examined by utilizing chassis dynamometer. This study aimed at comparing the characteristic of emitting regulatory substances of urban buses on Heavy-duty chassis dynamometer. The characteristic was analyzed based on vehicle speed by using both domestic and overseas developed heavy-duty vehicle test modes. As a result, this work attempted to investigate possibilities to take advantage of Heavy-duty vehicle test modes as a method to manage emissions from heavy-duty vehicles.

LPG 차량의 삼원촉매 노후화에 따른 연비 및 배출가스 특성 (Fuel Efficiency and Emission Characteristics on Aged Three-way Catalyst of LPG Vehicle)

  • The LPG vehicles are being operated by commercial purposes generally such as taxis. Most of taxis have a long-mileage and a harsh driving pattern. These properties may accelerate aging of the three-way catalysts much faster than the passenger vehicles. Because of this background, it was analyzed the test result of fuel efficiency and emissions on the LPG-fueled light duty vehicle. It was selected for a LPG vehicle of ULEV level to measure the fuel efficiency and emissions of the aged three-way catalysts. And the aged three-way catalysts which was driven about 300,000km and 550,000km replaced on the test vehicle in consecutive order. As a result, The aged three-way catalysts generally had no effect on fuel efficiency result, and harmful exhaust emissions had been shown to increase in most of the test mode, even though it satisfied the regulation value on most test modes.

전기자동차 LDC 시스템의 전도 방출에 관한 고주파 모델링 연구 (High-Frequency Circuit Modeling of the Conducted-Emission from the LDC System of a Electric Vehicle)

  • 본 논문에서는 고주파 회로 모델링을 이용하여 전기자동차의 LDC로부터 방출되는 전도성 전자파 잡음을 시스템-레벨에서 분석하였다. 관련 전도 방출의 주요 원인은 LDC에서 사용하는 펄스폭 변조 방식의 100 kHz 스위칭 동작에 기인하며, 이러한 전도 방출은 공통-임피던스 결합 및 유도성 결합을 통해 AM/FM 주파수 대역에서의 무선주파수 간섭을 유발한다. 이러한 문제를 분석하기 위해 LDC를 구성하고 있는 MOSFET과 고압 커패시터, 고전압 케이블과 버스 바에 대한 기본 회로는 물론, 각 부분에서 존재하는 기생 성분 및 비선형 특성을 해석하여 LDC 전체를 포함한 시스템-레벨의 고주파 등가회로 모델을 제안하였다. 이러한 모델을 이용하여 시뮬레이션과 측정을 비교하여 유사성을 검증하였다. 향후 이러한 접근 방법이 전기자동차의 전자파 적합성 설계에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

  • 본 논문에서는 고주파 회로 모델링을 이용하여 전기자동차의 모터 구동 시스템으로부터 방출되는 전도성 전자파 노이즈를 시스템-레벨에서 분석하였다. 관련 전도 방출의 주요 원인은 모터 구동 시스템에서 사용하는 펄스폭 변조방식의 스위칭 동작에 기인하며, 이러한 전도 방출은 공통-임피던스 결합 및 유도성 결합을 통해 AM/FM 주파수 대역에서의 무선주파수 간섭을 유발한다. 이러한 문제를 분석하기 위해 모터 구동 시스템을 구성하고 있는 IGBT와 고압 커패시터, 인버터, 모터 및 고전압 케이블과 버스 바에 대한 기본 회로는 물론, 각 부분에서 존재하는 기생 성분 및 비선형 특성을 해석하여 모터 구동 시스템 전체를 포함한 시스템-레벨의 고주파 등가회로 모델을 제안하였다. 이러한 모델을 이용한 모터 구동시스템의 전도 방출 특성을 시뮬레이션하고, 측정하였으며, 비교적 큰 해석구조임에도 불구하고 두 결과가 비교적 잘 일치함을 확인하였다. 향후 이러한 접근방법이 전기자동차의 전자파 적합성 설계에 효과적으로 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

무공해 승용 자동차의 냉방을 위한 전동식 냉방시스템 성능에 관한 연구 (Performance Characteristics of the Electrical Air Conditioning System for the Zero Emission Passenger Vehicle)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 친환경 무공해 승용 차량에 적용되는 전동식 냉방시스템의 성능특성을 실차에서 확인하는 것이다. 이를 위하여 인버터로 구동되는 전동식 스크롤 압축기를 적용한 전동식 냉방시스템을 설계 및 제작하여 수소 연료전지 자동차에 설치하여 다양한 주행도로 조건에서 실험을 진행하였다. 주행조건의 변화는 시험차량에 장착된 전동식 냉방시스템의 성능에 영향을 주었으며, 고속 및 일반도로 주행조건에서 냉방시스템의 성능이 정지조건에서 냉방시스템의 성능보다 우수하게 나타났다. 또한, 외기온도가 $20.0^{\circ}C$에서 $30.0^{\circ}C$로 증가함에 따라 고내 온도는 평균 $5.2^{\circ}C$ 더 적게 감소하였다.

대기온도와 운전조건에 따른 디젤자동차의 차량 온실가스 및 대기오염물질 배출특성에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Assesment Greenhouse Gases and Air Pollutants of Diesel Vehicle according to Ambient Temperature and Driving Condition)

  • As the interest on the air pollution is gradually risen up at home and abroad, their vehicle emission regulations have been reinforcing by steps. PM regulation was also reinforced 4times for the last 13years and has been applied to SI vehicles after EURO 5. Additionally, knowing that small particles of PM can easily penetrate deep into lungs PM number was added on the regulation from EURO5+ and is applied to CI vehicles. Also, PN regulation is going to be applied to SI vehicles. But, because the regulation is appled to only a general test mode of each countries that is performed at $25{\pm}5^{\circ}C$, it is unclear whether the regulation can work on the other ambient temperature conditions or not. In this paper, to know that exhaust emission characteristics at the special conditions CI vehicles(CRDi w, w/o DPF) were tested using 5-cycle mode, NEDC mode at 5-ambient temperatures (35, 25, 0, -7 and -15) and the exhaust emission test results were discussed. The results show that the vehicle with DPF emits much low PM(and PM number) on all of the test mode. However, NOx of the other mode was emitted higher than regulation mode. Also. NOx was sharply increased according to decreasing Ambient Temperature.

도로수송부문 온실가스 배출량 산정을 위한 간선 및 지선도로상의 교통량 추정시스템 개발 (Development of Traffic Volume Estimation System in Main and Branch Roads to Estimate Greenhouse Gas Emissions in Road Transportation Category)

  • The national emission from energy sector accounted for 84.7% of all domestic emissions in 2007. Of the energy-use emissions, the emission from mobile source as one of key categories accounted for 19.4% and further the road transport emission occupied the most dominant portion in the category. The road transport emissions can be estimated on the basis of either the fuel consumed (Tier 1) or the distance travelled by the vehicle types and road types (higher Tiers). The latter approach must be suitable for simultaneously estimating $CO_2$, $CH_4$, and $N_2O$ emissions in local administrative districts. The objective of this study was to estimate 31 municipal GHG emissions from road transportation in Gyeonggi Province, Korea. In 2008, the municipalities were consisted of 2,014 towns expressed as Dong and Ri, the smallest administrative district unit. Since mobile sources are moving across other city and province borders, the emission estimated by fuel sold is in fact impossible to ensure consistency between neighbouring cities and provinces. On the other hand, the emission estimated by distance travelled is also impossible to acquire key activity data such as traffic volume, vehicle type and model, and road type in small towns. To solve the problem, we applied a hierarchical cluster analysis to separate town-by-town road patterns (clusters) based on a priori activity information including traffic volume, population, area, and branch road length obtained from small 151 towns. After identifying 10 road patterns, a rule building expert system was developed by visual basic application (VBA) to assort various unknown road patterns into one of 10 known patterns. The expert system was self-verified with original reference information and then objects in each homogeneous pattern were used to regress traffic volume based on the variables of population, area, and branch road length. The program was then applied to assign all the unknown towns into a known pattern and to automatically estimate traffic volumes by regression equations for each town. Further VKT (vehicle kilometer travelled) for each vehicle type in each town was calculated to be mapped by GIS (geological information system) and road transport emission on the corresponding road section was estimated by multiplying emission factors for each vehicle type. Finally all emissions from local branch roads in Gyeonggi Province could be estimated by summing up emissions from 1,902 towns where road information was registered. As a result of the study, the GHG average emission rate by the branch road transport was 6,101 kilotons of $CO_2$ equivalent per year (kt-$CO_2$ Eq/yr) and the total emissions from both main and branch roads was 24,152 kt-$CO_2$ Eq/yr in Gyeonggi Province. The ratio of branch roads emission to the total was 0.28 in 2008.
