Mycorrhiza 및 Rhizobium 접종이 알팔파-페레니얼 라이그라스 혼파에 의한 질소와 인의 이용성 및 성장에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Inoculation of Mycorrhiza and Rhizobium on N, P utilization and Vegetative Growth in Alfalfa/Perennial Ryegrass Intercropping)

  • To investigate the effect of Mycorrhiza (Glomus intradics) and Rhizobium inoculation on the N, P utilization and growth response of Alfalfa (Medicago saliva L.) and Perennial ryegrass (Lolium perenne L.) in mixed sward, four treatments (non-inoculation, Control; Mycorrhiza inoculation: M; Rhizobium inoculation, R and Mycorrhiza and Rhizobium inoculation, M+R) were applied. The associated analyses were canied out on the early vegetative growth stage (DAS 56, 56 days after seeding) and on the early flowering stage (DAS 126). The decreased rate of total N and P content in soil, with advancing plant growth, was relatively higher in the M and M + R treatment than control. The content of availabie phosphorus in soil at DAS 126 increased by about 34 and 38 % in M and M+R treatment compared to control (189.2 mg PzOskg DM), while non-significant changes was observed in R treatment. Total N uptake and P uptake in the control at DAS 126 were 44.71 and 3.52 mglplant in mixed sward, respectively. About 71, 98 and 197 % of increases in total N uptake and 70, 72 and 11 1 % of increases in total P uptake were estimated in M, R and M+R treatment. Comparing to control, total dry matter yield significantly increased by 27, 33 and 53 %, and crude protein yield also by 78, 83 and 204 %, respectively, in M, R and M+R treatment. The present data indicated that mycorrhiza orland rhizobium inoculation improved N, P utilization of both alfalfa and perennial ryegrass plants, and consequently increased total yield (especially by dual inoculation, M+R). Total N uptake and P uptake in the control at DAS 126 were 33.91 mglplant and 2.42 mdplant, respectively, about 21, 50 and 51 % of increases in total N uptake and 30, 11 and 47 % of increases in total P uptake were estimated in M, R and M+R treatment. Comparing to control, dry matter yield significantly increased by 8, 27 and 28 %, and crude protein yield also by 21, 42 and 39 %, respectively, in M, R and M+R treatment. The present data indicated that mycorrhiza orland rhizobium inoculation improved N, P utilization, and consequently increased the yield of alfalfa. 개암버섯의 균사생장(菌絲生長)에 영향을 미치는 배양조건(培養條件)에 관한 연구(硏究) (Studies of Cultural Condition on the Mycelial Vegetative Growth in Naematoloma sublateritium (Fr.) Karst.)

  • 새로운 식용버섯 자원인 개암버섯(N. sublateritium)의 균사생장에 관한 배양적 조건을 구명하고자 시험을 수행한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 균사배양에 적합한 온도 및 pH는 각각 $25^{\circ}C$, 5.0-6.0의 범위였다. 2.균사배양시 양호한 탄소원으로서 단당류는 sorbitol, d-ribose 다당류는 starch, inulin, dextrin등이 있다. 3. 질소원으로 양호한 것은 무기태 질소인 질산칼륨, 암모니아태 질소인 asparagine, leucine, phenylalanine 등이었다. 4. 탄소원인 sorbitol 농도를 1-2%로 고정했을 때 적합한 C/N 비는 50이었고 질소원 농도가 높아질수록 균사생장은 부진하였다. 5. 개암버섯 균사생장에 필요한 무기염류는 비교적 다양하였고 $KH_2PO_4,\;MgSO_4{\cdot}7H_2O,\;CaCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O$의 최적농도는 각각 0.08%, 0.03%, 0.01%로 낮은 경향이었다. 6. 유기산으로 양호한 것은 fumaric, maleic, tartaric, gallic acid 등이었다.

  • 1981 및 1992년도 우리 나라 논잡초 조사자료를 이용한 생태학적 종합우점도 분석과 GIS에 의한 분석결과에 대한 요약을 하여 보면 다음과 같다. 1. 1981년 생태학적 종합우점도 분석에 의하여 가장 우점도가 높았던 잡초는 물달개비이었으며, 이는 전국적인 논에 걸쳐 가장 발생밀도가 높은 것으로 이해되지만 GIS분석에 의한 전국지역에 걸친 발생밀도는 이와 큰 차이가 나타났다. 2. 1981년 GIS분석에 의한 일년생 광엽잡초 물달개비의 발생우점 지역으로서는 경기의 시흥, 여주지역, 충남의 당진, 예산, 아산, 공주, 청양, 부여, 논산, 천안, 금산 등이었으며, 경북지방은 점촌, 청도, 영천, 봉화, 영풍 등이 상대적으로 매우 높은 발생량을 보였다. 3. 1992년 우점도가 가장 높았던 잡초는 다년생 사초과 잡초인 올방개이었으며. GIS분석에 의한 지역별 발생밀도는 현저한 차이를 보였으며, 주로 경기남부지역과 충남 중 서부지역, 전남 남 서부지역 등이 상대적으로 발생밀도가 높았다. 4. 1992년 올방개 발생이 극심한 지역은 경기 용인, 안성, 화성, 평택, 이천, 여주 일원과 충남의 서산, 당진, 태안, 천안, 공주, 아산, 청양, 예산, 대전일원, 전북의 장수, 전남의 무안, 나주, 해남 등으로 나타났다.

An updated taxonomy of the family Linderniaceae in Korea

  • In the present study, according to morphological observations followed by recent circumscriptions, we have classified the Korean taxa of the family Linderniaceae into Scrophulariaceae sensu lato has been considered in several works, though the taxa have remained undefined because identification work was mostly done according to vegetative morphological features, such as the leaf shape, leaf margins, and leaf venation. The taxa of Linderniaceae are mostly considered to be weeds and, for correct identification, it is necessary to clarify their taxonomic characteristics. Morphological studies were carried out using samples collected in the field. Micro-morphological observations of the vegetative and floral parts were also performed using light microscopy (LM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). We concluded that important characteristics are reproductive morphologies viz. calyx, stamen structure, capsule shape, calyx ratio with capsule, inflorescence morphology, and seed morphology. As a result, we formulated taxa descriptions and provided a key of the genera of Linderniaceae in Korea. Lindernia crustacea (L.) F. Muell. is transferred to Torenia crustacea (L.) Cham. & Schltdl. Lindernia micrantha D. Don and L. angustifolia (Benth.) Wettstein are a synonym of Vandellia micrantha (D. Don) Eb. Fisch., Schäferh. & Kai Müll. Lindernia attenuata Muhl. and L. dubia var. major (Pursh) Pennell are a synonym of Lindernia dubia (L.). Lindernia verbenifolia (Colsm.) Pennell is a synonym of Bonnaya antipoda Druce. Our study reports the presence of four genera: Bonnaya, Lindernia, Torenia, and Vandellia, comprising six taxa under the family Linderniaceae in Korea.

Above- and below-ground vegetative responses to prescribed fire regimes in a Chesapeake Bay tidal brackish marsh

  • The primary purposes for using fire are to enhance marsh vegetation to support waterfowl, and to manage invasive plant species. The study was conducted for two consecutive years in 2004 and 2005, investigating the effects of prescribed fire regimes on vegetation biomass in tidal brackish marsh areas of the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge located on the eastern shore of Maryland, USA, that are under relatively similar environmental conditions. Four different burn regimes (i.e., annual burn, 3-5 year burn, 7-10 year burn, and no burn) were applied in the study. Above- and below-ground vegetation biomass samples as affected by the different burn regimes were harvested in each year for five plant species native to the marsh; Distichlis spicata, Spartina alterniflora, Schoenoplectus americanus, Spartina cynosuroides and Spartina patens. No significant difference was found either in total above-ground biomass or in above-ground biomass by species between burn regimes in 2004. However, more total above-ground biomass was produced in annual burn regime in 2005 than in the other burn regimes. There were no consistent effects of burning on vegetative biomass production by species, but it seemed D. spicata was somewhat benefited by prescribed burning for its biomass production. Moreover, the stem density for D. spicata under annual burn regime was significantly higher than that in the other burn regimes, showing some positive effects of burning on vegetation. The below-ground biomass was significantly greater in 2004 than in 2005, yet with no significant difference between burn regimes in either year. A longer-term monitoring is strongly recommended.

군산시 주요 4개 인공습지의 식물상 및 생활형 (Flora and Life form of 4 Man-made Wetlands in Gunsan City)

  • According to previous research on evaluating vegetative value of wetland and RAM evaluation targeting the man-made wetland in Gunsan, Gunsan Reservoir and Gongchang Reservoir had been found to have satisfactory results while Anjeong Reservoir and Changan Reservoir had been found to have unsatisfactory results. Aimed at those reservoirs, a vegetation survey was conducted to analyze differences in terms of flora and growth habit. As for the flora, Gunsan Reservoir ranked first with 433 kinds of plants, followed by Gongchang Reservoir with 306, Changan Reservoir with 176 and Anjeong Reservoir with 167. As for specific plant species by floristic region, it was identified that Gunsan Reservoir had 18 species, larger than other wetlands and also, it had more species of naturalized plants than others. This phenomenon is related to various wetland environments resulted from wider area of Gunsan Reservoir. In the case of dormancy form, hemicryptophytes were mainly distributed in Gunsan Reservoir and Gongchang Reservoir while annual plants were mainly distributed in Anjeong Reservoir and Changan Reservoir with heavy disturbance.

대기 중 CO2 상승 조건에서 재배되는 콩의 광합성과 생장 반응의 분석 (Photosynthesis and Growth Responses of Soybean (Glycine max Merr.) under Elevated CO2 Conditions)

  • The effects of elevated atmospheric $CO_2$ on growth and photosynthesis of soybean (Glycine max Merr.) were investigated to predict its productivity under elevated $CO_2$ levels in the future. Soybean grown for 6 weeks showed significant increase in vegetative growth, based on plant height, leaf characteristics (area, length, and width), and the SPAD-502 chlorophyll meter value (SPAD value) under elevated $CO_2$ conditions ($800{\mu}mol/mol$) compared to ambient $CO_2$ conditions ($400{\mu}mol/mol$). Under elevated $CO_2$ conditions, the photosynthetic rate (A) increased although photosystem II (PS II) photochemical activity ($F_v/F_m$) decreased. The maximum photosynthetic rate ($A_{max}$) was higher under elevated $CO_2$ conditions than under ambient $CO_2$ conditions, whereas the maximum electron transport rate ($J_{max}$) was lower under elevated $CO_2$ conditions compared to ambient $CO_2$ conditions. The optimal temperature for photosynthesis shifted significantly by approximately $3^{\circ}C$ under the elevated $CO_2$ conditions. With the increase in temperature, the photosynthetic rate increased below the optimal temperature (approximately $30^{\circ}C$) and decreased above the optimal temperature, whereas the dark respiration rate ($R_d$) increased continuously regardless of the optimal temperature. The difference in photosynthetic rate between ambient and elevated $CO_2$ conditions was greatest near the optimal temperature. These results indicate that future increases in $CO_2$ will increase productivity by increasing the photosynthetic rate, although it may cause damage to the PS II reaction center as suggested by decreases in $F_v/F_m$, in soybean.

인천국제공항 착륙대 녹지지역의 잔디식재를 위한 한국잔디류 시공법 비교 (Comparison of Construction Methods with Zoysiagrass at the New Incheon International Airport)

  • The back-filled soil of the New Incheon International Airport construction site was reclaimed with sea sand in near the Young-Jong island. The primary study was carried out from August 1993 to June 1997 to study soil amendment and to select salt resistance turfgrass species. This study dealt with low maintenance area that included most part of open space of airport site. The second experiment, from October 1996 to August 1998, focused on soil amendment and selection of turfgrass species for alongside runway where turf area was maintained. Through two previous studies, propagation methods with zoysiagrass were tested for alongside runway and surrounding areas at 1998. The study of construction methods with zoysiagrass, vegetative propagation showed better results on visual quality and cover rating compare with seeding propagation. However, significant different between vegetative and seeding propagation was not showed on visual quality and drought tolerance after one year of plot establishment. The cover rating by seeding construction methods reached in excess of 70% of limitation suggested by the Incheon International Airport Cooperation. Zoysia net and sprigging net methods were the most suitable where there requires rapid and high rate of ground cover. Seeding propagation should be acceptable to obtain a resonable cover rating where there allows relatively longer period of completion. Therefore, it should be possible to attain a proper rating of ground cover on the site of open space, alongside runway or areas similar to the New Incheon International Airport which is being built on dredged seashore sand. However, the methods of soil amendment, selecting salt tolerance species, and proper construction procedure should be considered at the a time.

LiDAR의 높이 및 밀도 정보를 이용한 도시지역의 3D기반 분류 (3D based Classification of Urban Area using Height and Density Information of LiDAR)

  • 지표면에 대한 정보를 취득하는 기법 중 지금까지 주로 사용되어온 기법은 항공사진 및 위성영상과 같이 평면적인 정보 수집에 중점을 두고 있는 반면, 본 논문에서 다루는 LiDAR(Light Detection And Ranging)는 레이저 측량기술을 이용하여 지표면에 대한 고해상도의 비정규분포 Point 형태의 3차원 정보의 획득이 가능하다. GPS(Global Positioning System) 수신기와 INS(Inertial Navigation System)의 결합을 통해 좌표 값을 제공하게 된다. 이러한 LiDAR의 3차원 Point 정보와 좌표 값을 활용하여 보다 정밀한 3차원 모델링 수행이 가능하다. 본 연구에서는 LiDAR의 반사강도와 기하/지형 자료를 이용하여 도시지역을 대상으로 정밀한 3차원 공간정보자료를 취득하고, 그 자료를 분석하여 도시지역을 높이와 밀도를 기반으로 하여 3차원으로 분류하였다. LiDAR를 통해 획득된 원시자료로부터 지표면에서 반사되는 Point Data의 개수를 지면과 비지면 요소의 비율로 추정하여 지형과 공간적 특성을 파악하고 이에 따라 3차원 토지피복분류도를 작성하였다. 신호의 강약을 구분하는 기준은 통계적 방법(Jenk's Natural Break)을 통해 추정된 값을 사용하였으며, 지표면 반사비율에 따라 세부지역으로 구분하여 크게 고밀도 저밀도 식생지역과 비식생지역으로 구분하였다.
