고분자막을 이용한 $N_2-SO_2$ 혼합기체의 분리에 관한 연구 (A Study on Separation of $N_2-SO_2$ Mixed Gas by Polymer Membranes)

  • 여러가지 고분자막을 이용하여 $N_2-SO_2$ 혼합기체를 분리하는 데 있어서 압력, 온도 등을 조작변수로 하여 투과계수와 분리인자를 계산하고 이에 따른 기체투과 특성을 규명하고 분리성능을 측정하였다. 실험한 압력의 범위는 0.1~1.0 MPa이었으며, 온도범위는 283~303 K이었다. 압력이 커질수록 투과계수와 분리인자가 증가하였으나, 온도증가에 따라 투과계수와 분리인자는 감소하였다. 본 실험에서 사용된 막 중 Film-Tech사의 FT-30이 $N_2-SO_2$ 혼합기체의 분리능력이 가장 뛰어난 것으로 나타났다.

  • The wavelet transform is the most recent technique for processing signals with time-varying spectra. In this paper, the wavelet transform is utilized to improved the assessment and multi-resolution analysis of acoustic emission signals generating in partial discharge. This paper especially deals with the assessment of process statistical parameter using the features extracted from the wavelet coefficients of measured acoustic emission signals in case of applied voltage 20[kv]. Since the parameter assessment using all wavelet coefficients will often turn out leads to inefficient or inaccurate results, we selected that level-3 stage of multi decomposition in discrete wavelet transform. We applied FIR(Finite Impulse Response)digital filter algorithm in discrete to suppression for random noise. The white noise be included high frequency component denoised as decomposition of discrete wavelet transform level-3. We make use of the feature extraction parameter namely, maximum value of acoustic emission signal, average value, dispersion, skewness, kurtosis, etc. The effectiveness of this new method has been verified on ability a diagnosis transformer go through feature extraction in stage of acting(the early period, the last period) .

Assessment of Two Wall Film Condensation Models of RELAP5/MOD3.2 in the Presence of Noncondensable Gas in a Vertical Tube

  • The objective of the present work is to assess the analysis capability of two wall film condensation models, the default and the alternative models, of RELAP5/MOD3.2 on condensation experiments in the presence of noncondensable gas in a vertical tube of PCCS of CP-1300. In the calculation of a base case the default model of RELAP5/MOD3.2 under-predicts the heat transfer coefficients, and Its alternative model over-predicts them throughout the condensing tube, Also, both models over-predict the void fractions. The nodalization study shows that the variation of the node number does not change both modeling results of RELAP5/MOD3.2 Sensitivity study for varying input parameters shows that the inlet steam-air mixture flow rate, the inlet air mass fraction, and the inlet saturated steam temperature give significant changes of their heat transfer coefficients Run statistics show that the grind time of the default model is always higher than that of the alternative model by about 23%.

Image Restoration and Object Removal Using Prioritized Adaptive Patch-Based Inpainting in a Wavelet Domain

  • Image restoration has been carried out by texture synthesis mostly for large regions and inpainting algorithms for small cracks in images. In this paper, we propose a new approach that allows for the simultaneous fill-in of different structures and textures by processing in a wavelet domain. A combination of structure inpainting and patch-based texture synthesis is carried out, which is known as patch-based inpainting, for filling and updating the target region. The wavelet transform is used for its very good multiresolution capabilities. The proposed algorithm uses the wavelet domain subbands to resolve the structure and texture components in smooth approximation and high frequency structural details. The subbands are processed separately by the prioritized patch-based inpainting with isophote energy driven texture synthesis at the core. The algorithm automatically estimates the wavelet coefficients of the target regions of various subbands using optimized patches from the surrounding DWT coefficients. The suggested performance improvement drastically improves execution speed over the existing algorithm. The proposed patch optimization strategy improves the quality of the fill. The fill-in is done with higher priority to structures and isophotes arriving at target boundaries. The effectiveness of the algorithm is demonstrated with natural and textured images with varying textural complexions.

Mean wind loads on T-shaped angle transmission towers

  • Compared with traditional transmission towers, T-shaped angle towers have long cross-arms and are specially used for ultrahigh-voltage direct-current (UHVDC) transmission. Nevertheless, the wind loads of T-shaped towers have not received much attention in previous studies. Consequently, a series of wind tunnel tests on the T-shaped towers featuring cross-arms of varying lengths were conducted using the high-frequency force balance (HFFB) technique. The test results reveal that the T-shaped tower's drag coefficients nearly remain constant at different testing velocities, demonstrating that Reynolds number effects are negligible in the test range of 1.26 × 104-2.30 × 104. The maximum values of the longitudinal base shear and torsion of the T-shaped tower are reached at 15° and 25° of wind incidence, respectively. In the yaw angle, the crosswind coefficients of the tower body are quite small, whereas those of the cross-arms are significant, and as a result, the assumption in some load codes (such as ASCE 74-2020, IEC 60826-2017 and EN 50341-1:2012) that the resultant force direction is the same as the wind direction may be inappropriate for the cross-arm situation. The fitting formulas for the wind load-distribution factors of the tower body and cross-arms are developed, respectively, which would greatly facilitate the determination of the wind loads on T-shaped angle towers.

Numerical Investigation of Motion Response of the Tanker at Varying Vertical Center of Gravities

  • The vertical center of gravity (VCG) has a significant impact on the roll motion response of a surface ship, particularly oil tankers based on the oil level in the tanker after discharging oil at several stations or positional changes, such as changes in the superstructure and deck structure. This study examined the motion response of the Korea very large crude carrier 2 (KVLCC2) at various VCGs, especially roll motion when the VCG changed. The potential theory in the Ansys AQWA program was used as a numerical simulation method to calculate the motion response. On the other hand, the calculations obtained through potential theory overestimated the roll amplitudes during resonance and lacked precision. Therefore, roll damping is a necessary parameter that accounts for the viscosity effect by performing an experimental roll decay. The roll decay test estimated the roll damping coefficients for various VCGs using Froude's method. The motion response of the ship in regular waves was evaluated for various VCGs using the estimated roll-damping coefficients. In addition, the reliability of the numerical simulation in motion response was verified with those of the experiment method reported elsewhere. The simulation results showed that the responses of the surge, sway, heave, pitch, and yaw motion were not affected by changing the VCG, but the natural frequency and magnitude of the peak value of the roll motion response varied with the VCG.

우리나라 해역별 해양환경에 최적화된 확률모형 개발 (Development of Probabilistic Models Optimized for Korean Marine Environment Varying from Sea to Sea Based on the Three-parameter Weibull Distribution)

  • 요 지 : 본 연구에서는 먼저 우리나라 해역별 해양환경 특성이 담긴 장기 파랑 관측자료로부터 Goda 모형을 활용하여 파력과 양력 시계열자료를 생성하였다. 이어 이렇게 생성된 시계열자료부터 Three-parameter Weibull distribution에 기반한 파력과 양력 확률모형을 개발하였다. 해역별로 다른 우리나라 해양환경은 파력과 양력 확률모형 모수에서도 그 차이를 확연하게 드러내었다. 충분히 발달한 풍성 파가 우월한 남해안의 경우 큰 Scale Coefficient, 작은 Location Coefficient, 1.3 전후의 Shape Coefficient로 특정되는 것을 확인하였다. 이에 비해 파랑의 성장이 취송거리에 의해 제한되는 서해를 마주하고 있는 군산의 경우 작은 Scale Coefficient, 큰 Location Coefficient, 2.0 전후의 Shape Coefficient로 특정되었다. 서해와 남해가 만나는 해역을 마주하고 있는 목포의 경우 작은 Scale Coefficient, 큰 Location Coefficient, 제일 작은 Shape Coefficient를 지녀 남해와 서해의 해양환경이 혼재한다는 사실도 확인할 수 있었다.

염산용액에서 유기인산계 추출제에 의한 Nd와 Pr의 분리추출 (Solvent Extraction Separation of Nd and Pr from Chloride Solution using Organophosphorus Acid Extractants)

  • Nd와 Pr이 함유된 모나자이트 샌드의 염산침출용액에서 Cyanex272 및 PC88A를 기반으로 한 TBP 및 Cyanex272와의 혼합용매를 사용하여 두 금속을 분리하기 위한 용매추출실험을 시행하였다. 이러한 목적을 위해 수상의 pH에 따른 추출제의 농도가 두 금속의 추출 및 분리에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. 본 연구의 실험범위에서 Nd의 분배계수가 Pr의 분배계수보다 컸다. Cyanex272로 추출하는 경우 추출제의 농도와 초기 pH는 분배계수에 영향을 미치지 않으나, 초기 pH가 증가할수록 분리인자는 증가하였다. 혼합용매의 경우 PC88A를 단독으로 사용했을 때보다 분배계수가 낮고 분리인자에 차이가 없었다.

성토층에 매설된 사력질층의 침투특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on Seepage Characteristics of Embedded Gravel and Rock Layer in the Embankment)

  • For the purpose of studying on the seepage characteristics of embedded gravel layer in embankment, laboratory model tests were carried out. The embedded layer under embankment was $19{\sim}26mm$ diameter of gravel and those embankment materials were Saemangum dredged sand, river sand and mixed(1:1) sand with dredged and river one. Those permeability coefficients of three different sands are $5.00{\times}10^{-5}$, $3.00{\times}10^{-4}$, $7.50{\times}10^{-5}m/s$, respectively. Seepage characteristics of these results are as follows; 1) The Reynolds number of water flow through embedded gravel layer in three different permeable soils is less then 10, it is laminar flow. 2) These flow velocities through embedded gravel layer in soils are in proportion to these hydraulic gradients, it is Darcy flow. 3) These Darcian permeability coefficients of water flow through embedded gravel layer in soils show as $2.95{\times}10^{-3}$, $1.38{\times}10^{-2}$, $3.33{\times}10^{-3}$m/s, respectively, by varying permeability of embankment soils and embankment lengths. It is approximately 100 times of those permeability coefficients of embankment materials.

韓半島 周邊海域 海底 表層蓄積物 音波 空曠係數와 생物起源 氣滯含量 (Sound Attenuation Coefficients and Biogenic Gas Content in the Offshore Surficial Sediments Around the Korean Peninsula)

  • 한반도 주변 4개 해혁(포항, 부산, 여수, 군산)의 해저 표층축적물에서 얻은 음향 자료로부터 음속과 음파감쇠를 구하여 물성과의 상관성을 검토하고, 기체함량을 추정 함으로써 음파의 기계적 원인을 분석하였다. 음속 및 음파감쇠의 범위는 각각 1470∼ 1616 m/sec 및 0.0565∼0.6604 dB/kHz-m로서 퇴적물의 유형에 밀접하게 관련된다. 음 파는 coarse silt에서 최대이며 표층퇴적물내 기체 함량의 추정값은 8 ppm 이하로서 퇴적물의 입자가 작을수록 증가한다. Find sand보다 입자가 큰 퇴적물에서는 마찰손실 이 절대적인 음파감쇠의 요인으로 작용하며, 점성손실은 무시할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 퇴적물의 물성에 따라 변하지 않는다. Coarse silt에서 음파감쇠가 최대인 것은 마찰 손실 뿐만 아니라 silt 입자 차이에 존재하는 더 작은 입자들 간의 결합력이 동시에 작용하기 때문이며 fine 및 medium silt를 경계로 입자가 작아짐에 따라 입자간 결합 력이 주된 감쇠 요인으로 작용한다.
