The yield criterion, or called yield function, plays an important role in the study of plastic working of a sheet because it governs the plastic deformation properties of the sheet during plastic forming process. In this paper, we propose a modified version of previous anisotropic yield function (Trans. Mater. Process., 31(4) 2022, pp. 214-228) based on J2 and J3 stress invariants. The proposed anisotropic yield model has the 6th-order of stress components. The modified version of the anisotropic yield function in this study is as follows. f(J₂⁰,J₃⁰) ≡ (J₂⁰)³ + α(J₃⁰)² + β(J₂⁰)^3/2 × (J₃⁰) = k⁶ The proposed anisotropic yield function well explains the anisotropic plastic behavior of various sheets such as aluminum, high strength steel, magnesium alloy sheets etc. by introducing the parameters α and β, and also exhibits both symmetrical and asymmetrical yield surfaces. The parameters included in the proposed model are determined through an optimization algorithm from uniaxial and biaxial experimental data under proportional loading path. In this study, the validity of the proposed anisotropic yield function was verified by comparing the yield surface shape, normalized uniaxial yield stress value, and Lankford's anisotropic coefficient R-value derived with the experimental results. Application for the proposed anisotropic yield function to AA6016-T4 aluminum and DP980 sheets shows symmetrical yielding behavior and to AZ31B magnesium shows asymmetric yielding behavior, it was shown that the yield locus and yielding behavior of various types of sheet materials can be predicted reasonably by using the proposed anisotropic yield function.

Pulmonary function studies today are generally accepted as an integral part of the evaluation of poor-risk patients who are to have pulmonary surgery. The effect of various pulmonary surgery on lung function was investigated in 54 patients in whom comprehensive lung function test were performed before and between 2 months and 14 months after operation at the Department of Thoracic Surgery, Seoul National University Hospital. According to the result of analysis, the effect of pulmonary resection on forced flow rate was keeping with the change of lung volume, and the preoperative level of ventilatory function plays a major role in determining postoperative loss of functioning lung. Although all measures of expiratory flow [FVC, FEV1, FEFO.2-1.2, MEF50, FEF25-75] have the same percentage of reproducibility, but FEV1 shows most sensitive, reliable linear correlation with the functioning pulmonary tissue loss than other parameters. The linear regression lines derived from the correlation between preoperative [X] and postoperative [Y] FEV1 on various surgical procedures were as follows: 1. Y = 0.57X 0.03. in pneumonectomy group of lung cancer[r=0.84]. 2. Y = 0.56X + 0.33. in lobectomy group of lung cancer[r=0.79]. 3. Y = 0.69X + 0.25. in lobectomy group of pulmonary infection[r=0.91].

This paper proposes a case-based approach to the conceptual design of mechanism, especially of the generation of design alternatives in function generation and motion transmission tasks. The aim of this work is to generate and provide various design alternatives by utilizing the previous design concepts underling in the existing design cases. The approach is based on the basic idea that the whole design concepts or sub-concepts extracted from different design cases can be merged to generate a variety of new design alternatives. The notion of virtual function generator is introduced to conceptualize and represent all possible underlying design concepts in the prior design cases. The virtual function generators are extracted in advance from the existing mechanism and serve as new conceptual building blocks for the synthesis of mechanism. Various design alternatives are generated basically by merging tow virtual function generators that partially match the specified function. By utilizing the design concepts that have been effectively used in the previous design cases. he proposed approach could efficiently produce more feasible design concepts than from-scratch ones. The approach proposed in this paper is illustrated with a design example.

Motivated mainly by certain interesting recent extensions of the generalized hypergeometric function [Integral Transforms Spec. Funct. 23 (2012), 659-683] by means of the incomplete Pochhammer symbols $({\lambda};{\kappa})_{\nu}$ and $[{\lambda};{\kappa}]_{\nu}$, we first introduce incomplete Fox-Wright function. We then define the families of incomplete extended Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function. We then systematically investigate several interesting properties of these incomplete extended Hurwitz-Lerch Zeta function which include various integral representations, summation formula, fractional derivative formula. We also consider an application to probability distributions and some special cases of our main results.

This paper presents the on-vehicle information system that displays the states of the vehicle in brief words instead of symbols. Main functions of this system include a system check function, trip function, warning function, and clock function. With this system, a driver can obtain all sorts of useful information related to various conditions of the vehicle, and if any problem arises in the vehicle, he can recognize it by the displayed words with a warning sound. Also, this system is very helpful for safety driving because it displays whatever a driver wants to have concerning trip information. By experimental test and driving test, the development system shows good results for each function.

This paper shows that a well-defined energy function can be developed to reflect the transfer conductances for multi-machine power systems under an assumption that all transmission lines have uniform R/X rations. The energy function is derived by introducing a pure reactive equivalent system for the given system. In this study, a static energy function reflecting transfer conductances is also derived as well as the transient energy function. The proposed static energy function is applied to voltage stability analysis and tested for various sample systems. The test results show that the accuracy of voltage stability analysis can be considerable improved by reflecting transfer conductances into the energy function.

"Regulatory Function of Lung(肺主治節)" is one of the major function of lung, but its meaning is still controversial. The word "治節(Regulatory Function)" was first discovered in "黃帝內經(Huangdineijing)". In Chinese medicine text of modern China, physiological meaning of "治節" can be roughly divided into two; one is respiratory function, and another is to help cardiovascular function of the heart. In addition to this, "治節" has been construed in various ways, but all of them is not realistic. There has been several viewpoints that '節' in '治節' means 24 seasonal divisions and they can be representatively found in "東醫寶鑑(Donguibogam)". Based on all of these views, modern western medical physiology is requirement for further study about physiology of internal organs.

A gradient-based evolutionary optimization methodology is presented for finding the optimal design of viscous dampers to minimize an objective function defined for a linear multi-storey structure. The maximum value along height of the transfer function amplitudes for the interstorey drifts is taken as the objective function. Since the ground motion includes various uncertainties, the optimal damper placement may be different depending on the ground motion used for design. Furthermore, the transfer function treated as the objective function depends on the properties of structural parameters and added dampers. This implies that a more robust damper design is desired. A reliable and robust damping design system against any unpredictable ground motions can be provided by minimizing the maximum transfer function. Such design system is proposed in this paper.

Gamma-ray irradiation is known to induce various mutations in plants caused by chromosome alterations. This study investigated disease responses of selected gamma-ray induced rice mutants generated from seven Japonica-type rice cultivars against three plant diseases. Among the tested 22 mutants, three gain-of-function mutants and six loss-of-function mutants against rice blast were obtained, as well as three loss-of-function mutants against bacterial leaf blight (BLB). Two of the loss-of-function mutants were susceptible to both rice blast and BLB. Gain-of-function mutation has not been frequently observed in rice plants, thus, the mutants can be used to identify loci of novel genes for the regulation of disease resistant response.

The purpose of the study are summarized as follows: First, it has researched the new functions of middleman in Fisheries Port Market. Second, the new functions which middleman have to perform in Fisheries Port Market consist of the origin function, marketing function, logistics function. The origin function consists of the discrimination of fish species and freshness, making the price by auction, financing, etc. Marketing function consists of various species assortment from not only fisheries port market but also non fisheries port market as frozen and import fish markets, finding the new selling markets as not broker but wholesaler, making the price and margin non through the action, processing, etc. Logistics function consist of fish stock, delivery Third, it has recognized the upcoming important problems by building up the new functions as middleman in Fisheries port Market. This study has used a questionnaire to verify 3 hypotheses. Research model, factor analysis, regression analysis. The result of this study are summarized as follows: The origin function influences positively on the effectiveness of middleman's performance in Fisheries port Market. Marketing function influences positively on the effectiveness of middleman's performance. However, logistics function did not directly influences on the effectiveness of middleman's performance.
