  • Recently, many e-business companies started to charge fees to the use of information contents service. However, little is known about how users evaluate and determine to purchase information services. Past technology adoption research has focused primarily on the positive utility gains side, focusing on usefulness and ease of use. Purchase of e-service, however, involves not only the position utilities but also negative utilities. This research uses the service value model(SVM) and explains user's intention of purchasing a new information service. Based on the Perceived Value Framework, this research investigates the impacts of the service quality and the fee charge on the user's perceived service value and further on user's intention of adopting the e-service. One of the most important postulations of this research is that both service quality and the fee charge influence user's intention through affecting the user's perceived service value. This research presences a conceptual model of users' e-service evaluation process. The conceptual framework provides a basis for understanding how perceptions of quality and sacrifice influence value perceptions and purchase intentions. The results of an empirical research suggest that the both service quality and fee charge have influences on the perceived service value. However, they do not directly affect user's intention to purchase the e-service. They affect user's intention to purchase through affecting the perceived service value. In conclusion, this research provides a base to build on for other research studying use intention model of new e-service.

  • This study is an attempt to re-examination of information value and it´s economic efficiency from the viewpoint of information science. This study focuses on the analysis of the considerable discussions about added value of information and cost-benefit analysis of information. This study shows that the researches of information value or value-added information have dealt with the effect of information use and the measuring information efficiency concerns cost-benefit analysis of information services. A case study on ‘the national digital library program’ is also demonstrated as a pilot model for the cost-benefit analysis of information services.

  • Technology companies launched their intelligent personal assistants (IPAs). IPAs not only provide individuals with a convenient way to interact with technology but also offer them the opportunity to interact with AI in a useful and meaningful form. Therefore, the global IPAs have experienced tremendous growth over the past decade. But maintaining continuous usage intention is still a massive challenge for developers and marketers and previous technology adoption models are not enough to explain continuous usage intention of IPAs. Thus, we adopted the bi-dimensional perspectives of utilitarian and hedonic value in this research model, and investigated how three characteristics of IPAs - anthropomorphism, autonomy, and intelligence - affect utilitarian value and hedonic value, which in turn continuous usage intentions. 227 data were collected from IPA users. The results showed that IPAs' continuous usage intention is significantly determined by both utilitarian and hedonic value, with the hedonic value being more prominent. In addition, the results showed that anthropomorphism and intelligence are the most important antecedents of utilitarian and hedonistic value. The results also illustrated that autonomy is a crucial predictor of utilitarian value rather than hedonistic value. Our work contributes to current research by widening the theoretical understanding of the effect of IPA characteristics on continuous usage intention through bi-dimensional values. Our paper also provides IPAs' developer and marketer guidelines for enhancing continuous usage intention.

  • The SMB supercomputing service provides a supercomputing infrastructure for Small and Medium-sized Business (SMB) to enhance the efficiency of product development activity. In this study, the economic value of SMB supercomputing service is presented. The economic value of service is comprised of a direct and an indirect economic value. A direct economic value was estimated based on the result of user survey on service effectiveness. The input-output analysis method was adopted to estimate an indirect economic value induced from a direct economic value. The future economic value based on the result of user demand survey is also presented. As a result, the annual and future economic value of service were estimated about 55,215 million won and 323,928 million won, respectively.

Second, the technical characteristics of e-commerce are as follows. In terms of ease of transaction and product service, technology characteristics are simplified and directly effected over time. On the other hand, information protection works very closely with individual value, There was a strong tendency to enjoy benefits. Especially in 2006, if you want to enjoy transactional convenience through transaction information security or benefit from product service, it has been changed to recognize the importance of information security through payment in 2016.

  • The development of information technology provides us with more useful information but it arose to protect such information from inappropriate users. In the course of analyzing and managing the risks associated with information, it should be needed to accurately measure the value of information. We try to consider the contingent valuation method for this purpose. The contingent valuation method which is used to assess the value of public goods or nonmarket goods makes an statistical estimation for the willingness-to-pay. We show with an example how we can estimate the value of information by calculating the amount we are willing to pay the value of information that exists on the information system. Calculation is carried out by using R.

  • Purpose - This research investigates the effect of disclosure quality with two main components, reliability and timeliness, on economic value added in Iran. Research design, data, and methodology - The sampling includes 170 Tehran Stock Exchange listed companies from 2008-12. Multiple regression analysis was applied to test the hypotheses and estimates of the coefficients. Firm size and return on assets were the control variables. Results - The results show that timeliness of information has a positive impact on economic value added. We did not find any significant relationship between disclosure quality and reliability of information and economic value added. The regressed model shows that there is no significant association between firm size and economic value added. The results also show that there is a positive association between return on assets and economic value added. Conclusions - Theoretically, timely information is effective in decision-making. This study shows that timeliness of information has positive effect on the creation of economic value added. However, disclosure quality, reliability, and firm size do not effect on economic value added. Companies with greater return on assets produce greater economic value added.

  • As an increasing number of people gained access to social network services (SNS), organizations started to use SNS as a channel for marketing and promotional purposes. The online advertising market has significant growth potential. Brand engagement is a key motive for online advertising, but how SNS users engage with brands, particularly in terms of the promotion of organizations, is poorly understood. This study uses customer value theory to examine brand engagement of users in terms of promoting companies in the context of Korean SNS marketing. This study identifies the antecedents of brand engagement based on customer value theory. Our findings show the significance of three factors of SNS marketing, namely, price discount, relationship support, and convenience, on brand engagement. We further show the consequences of brand engagement, namely, purchase decisions and word-of-mouth activities. These findings help advance customer value theory and offer practical insights into the use of information systems and marketing in the context of SNS.

In addition, the customer value have significant influence on the job performance. Meanwhile, the perception of information organizations have not effect on the job performance. Regarding the moderating effect of the information using environment, the results are as follows: the information using environment moderates the relationship between the information service quality and between the customer value and the perception of information organizations, and the relationship between the customer value and the job performance, but does not moderate the relationship between the perception of information services organizations and the job performance. According to the research results, we proposed several implications to foster the customer value management in the field of public information as well as future research directions.
