The result of this study suggests that students' perception of service value is related to functional value with regard to need and satisfaction, epistemic value, image, emotional value, functional value with regard to price and quality, and social value. Specifically female students give less importance to epistemic value than their male counterparts. Students in the 2nd grade gave less favorable scores to the functional value with regard to need and satisfaction, epistemic value, image, emotional value and functional value with regard to price and quality than students in the 1st grade. Students in the night class gave less scores to epistemic value and functional value with regard to price and quality than students in the day class. It is confirmed that the difference between groups by the period in school is in functional value with regard to need and satisfaction, image, emotional value, and functional value with regard to price and quality. And it is also revealed that these results are similar to the results of analysis by the grade. In conclusion college operators should not overemphasize that the department of Hotel culinary arts occupies the leading position of the culinary academic world in Korea and the firms of food service industry positively evaluate the department of Hotel culinary arts, and in order to cope with the rapidly changing environment of the culinary education consistent investment constant changes and of efforts should not be stopped. On one hand the teaching staff of the department of Hotel culinary arts should reconsider their original role, and need behavior and practice to fill their deficiency with steady efforts in terms of students' perceived service value. In addition the students of the department of Hotel culinary arts should not be shackled by the past tradition, should not take a pessimistic view of the present situation, should not take an optimistic view of the future, and should always cultivate their ability to provide for the future.

It aims to explore the evidence that can be used to infer the relationship between value chains and corporate performance in the case of firms forming a value chain with other companies with the means of an equity investment or a special business relationship. Design/methodology - Non-financial corporations listed from 2011 to 2017 on the securities market of South Korea are analyzed. The data used for analysis are found for transactions with the related party by year for all the corporations of non-financial industries in the securities market. Multiple analysis attempts are conducted including the relationship between the value chain and productivity, corporate value, risk-adjusted corporate value, and mediation effects of productivity. The empirical model employs sixteen variables including the value chain index which identifies its impact on various aspects of business performances. Findings - The results of this study clearly supports the phenomenon that corporate productivity and value are enhanced when the corporation expands its value chain established with domestic related firms and overseas companies. Such a positive effect is statistically significant even after the possible risk factors that accompany the expansion of value chain were considered, and productivity plays the role as a medicating variable in the effect of the value chain on the corporation values. Originality/value - The findings of this study confirms that domestic companies' expansion of their value chain centered on the related firms overseas that helped them in terms of the maximization of their productivity and corporate values. This study shows that Korean government's policy on expanding the corporate GVC can enhance the productivity and value of firms. The expansion of value chain and its impact on business performance has not been explored thoroughly, although it is getting more and more important in the global trade operation.

The purpose of this study is to employ the theory of consumption value and consumers' innovative personality characteristics to explain the adoption of new personal electronics devices in Vietnamese market. This study adapts a quantitative survey-based approach to test hypotheses about relationship between consumption value, product specific innovativeness and new product adoption. The study uses a quantitative data set of 915 consumers who owned one mobile electronic device at least in Ho Chi Minh city, one of the biggest cities of Vietnam. The data was collected through personal interview and convenient sampling method. The conceptual model was tested using PLS structural equation model. The findings of this study suggest that both consumption value and product specific innovativeness influence the adoption of new electronic products. The results also reveal that product specific innovativeness mediates the relationship between consumption value and new product adoption. The study further identified that consumption value was taken as a second-order multidimensions construct with five components, namely functional value, epistemic value, economic value, social value and emotional value. As a result, the research suggests some implications to enhance marketers' capabilities to develop strategies for launching new hi-tech products in an emerging market as Vietnam.
The purpose of this study was to analyze big data to identify the sub-dimensions of ethical consumption, as well as the consumption value associated with ethical consumption that changes over time. For this study, data were collected from Naver and Daum using the keyword 'ethical consumption' and frequency and matrix data were extracted through Textom, for the period January 1, 2016, to December 31, 2018. In addition, a two-way mode network analysis was conducted using the UCINET 6.0 program and visualized using the NetDraw function. The results of text mining show increasing keyword frequency year-on-year, indicating that interest in ethical consumption has grown. The sub-dimensions derived for 2014 and 2015 are fair trade, ethical consumption, eco-friendly products, and cooperatives and for 2016 are fair trade, ethical consumption, eco-friendly products and animal welfare. The results of deriving consumption value keywords were classified as emotional value, social value, functional value and conditional value. The influence of functional value was found to be growing over time. Through network analysis, the relationship between the sub-dimensions of ethical consumption and consumption values derived each year from 2014 to 2018 showed a significantly strong correlation between eco-friendly product consumption and emotional value, social value, functional value and conditional value.
Using Bernd H. Schmitt's experiential modules, this study investigated the effect of shopping value on recognizing the importance of customer experience. A survey was conducted with 400 adults aged in their 20s to 50s. To analyze the data, factor analysis, a reliability test, cluster analysis, and ANOVA were conducted. The results were as follows. First, the shopping values exhibited by sportswear consumers were a utilitarian shopping value and a hedonic shopping value. Through these, consumers were classified into four groups: a shopping value-oriented group, a utilitarian shopping value group, a shopping value-unconcern group, and a hedonic shopping value group. Second, the customer experience consisted of five factors: sensory experience, emotional experience, cognitive experience, behavioral experience, and relational experience. Third, a significant difference was observed in customers' perceived experiences according to shopping value type. In the shopping value-oriented group, all customer experiences were generally considered important, followed by the hedonic shopping value group and the shopping value-unconcern group, with the utilitarian shopping value group least likely to perceive customer experiences as important. In addition, cognitive and emotional experiences were rated highest among the five experiences, indicating that these were the most important store experiences among the various customer experience components.
