명화가 유발하는 반응유형이 명화주입효과에 미치는 영향 (The Influence of Artwork-provoked Response Types on Art Infusion Effect)

  • Purpose - Recently, many theoretical researches suggested that arts-based marketing strategies provide many benefits for marketers to differentiate their brand or product from others. However, there has been little research focusing on consumers' response types from artwork (artifact-emotion appraisal; A-emotion vs. represented world-emotion appraisal; R-emotion). In order to deepen our understanding of arts-based marketing strategies, we addressed a research question related to how artwork-provoked consumers' emotional response can impact the perceived evaluation of art infused products. Research design, data, and methodology - To answer the research question, we conducted a pretest and one experimental study. The experimental study was 2(art-provoked response type: A-emotion vs. R-emotion) by 2(emotional valence: positive vs. negative) by 2(produce type: hedonic vs. utilitarian) mixed design. The art-provoked response type and emotional valence were between-subject design and product type was within subject design. For the experimental study, 108 undergraduate students and graduate students were randomly assigned to one of 4 conditions (A-emotion-positive, A-emotion-negative, R-emotion-positive, R-emotion-negative). Participants reported their evaluation of art-infused product and other items for a manipulation check. Results - The major results from the experimental study are as follow. First, participant's art-provoked response type influenced evaluation of art infused products differently. More specifically, the effect of emotional valence of artwork on product evaluation was not significant in A-emotion. However, in R-emotion, relative to the product with artwork provoked negative emotional valence, the product with artwork provoked positive emotional valence elicited significantly higher product evaluation. Second, product type also affected the art infusion effect significantly. Particularly, the differential effect of participant's art-provoked response type on product evaluation revealed when it is for a utilitarian product, but not for a hedonic product. Conclusions - Theoretically, the findings of this study expand academic research on art infusion. And the findings also can be extrapolated to generate lots of implication for marketers. In sum, when they plan art marketing strategies to build the favorable relationship with their customers, they need to consider customers' response type of an infused art and product type.

장기공여와 이식에 대한 일반인의 주관적 특성 (Subjectivity on Organ Donation and Transplantation)

  • This study was designed to identify the attitudes of the people on organ donation and transplantation. The purpose of this study was to provide data to help inspire organ donation, and promote registration yield so donor candidates will have more favorable recipients through Q-methodology. A Q-sample was developed through a review of the literature and interviews. Thirty-three statements made up the final Q-sample. The P-sample consisted of twenty-eight subjects, excluding chronic organic disorder. The Q-sorts by each subject were coded and analyzed with the QUNAL computer program. The results were as follows: This study discovered five different types of organ donation and transplantation of twenty- eight subjects. Type I is 'utilitarian.' The people of this type consider human life very valuable and they recognize that organ transplantation is an affirmative medicine that should be performed to extend human life. They believe that are saving others' lives by donating organs. Type II is 'sardonist.' The people of this type approve of organ transplantation usefulness, but they have no intention of participating in the program because of it may trample on human rights. Type III is 'individualist.' The people of this type consider it proper for the activation of organ transplantation by the legal system. They believe that organ donation a valuable too, but needs support through social benefits to donors. Yet, they have not intention of doing what they propose. Type IV is 'familist.' The people of this type have strong attachments to life but they think that organ donation and transplantation should be done between within a family. Type IV is disposition of family intensive consideration rather than altruistic and utilitarianism. Type V is 'deontologist.' The people of this type recognize the benefits of transplantation, but have a negative opinion of activation. They worry about ethical and social problems occurring in the development of modern medicine. They believe that death is the only natural end to life, so they have strong negative opinions of euthanasia and brain death compared to other types. They regard transplantation to be a non-human behavior, because it involves a removing organs and breaking the boundary of death. The findings of this study are only preliminary and serve as a baseline to understanding the subjectivity of individuals on organ donation and transplantation. Therefore, the subjectivity of the five types will be applied to formulate the educational programs and public relations strategies for organ donation because the public's awareness toward organ donation is closely related to their values, beliefs, and attitudes.

정신장애인의 인권보장과 제한에 관한 연구 (The Assurance and Restriction on Human Rights of the Mentally Ill)

  • 본 연구는 장애의 특성상 인권보장이 '다수의 안전'이나 '치료적 이득'과 갈등이 있을 수밖에 없는 정신장애인의 인권 보장과 제한을 일반적으로 어떻게 이해하는지를 알아보고자 하는 것이다. 따라서 일반인 10명, 전문가 9명, 정신장애인 6명을 대상으로 각 권리(존엄성 존중, 차별대우 받지 않을 권리, 자발적 입원보장, 자유로운 환경보장)별로 문제영역(장기입원, 운전면허취득제한, 강제입원, 통신의 자유제한)을 구체화하여 면담하였다. 면담내용을 질적 분석한 결과 조사대상자들이 권리보장과 제한을 이해하는 두 가지 차원을 발견하였다. 첫 번째 차원은 권리보장과 제한을 다수에 미치는 긍정적 결과를 중심으로 정당화하느냐 아니면 인권존중의 보편적 원리를 내세워 권리중심으로 정당화하느냐 하는 것이다. 두 번째 차원은 권리보장과 제한의 판단주체를 공식적 체계에 두느냐 아니면 비공식적 체계에 두느냐 하는 것이다.

소비자 세분시장 특성에 따른 인터넷 판매 제품분석 (The Analysis of On-line Product Categories Based on Consumer Segmentation Characteristics)

  • '어떤 제품들이 인터넷에서 잘 팔릴 것인가?' 이를 정확히 이해하기 위해서는 인터넷 쇼핑에서 뿐만 아니라, 오프라인 쇼핑에서의 소비자들의 쇼핑 목적, 온라인에 대한 인식 및 지식, 쇼핑에 대한 선호 등에 대한 이해가 필요하다. 이 논문에서는 인터넷 쇼핑과 오프라인 쇼핑 성장들 통합하여 소비자들을 분류하고, 각 집단 소비자 간에 제품군에 따라서 구매장소(온라인 vs, 오프라인), 가격에 대한 강조(가격 vs, 비가격)에 따라 차이가 나타난 것인가를 살펴보았다. 즉 어떤 유형의 소비자들이 인터넷에서 어떤 유형의 제품군에 대하여 구매를 고려하고 있는지, 그리고 그 이유는 무엇인가를 가격 및 비가격 요인을 중심으로 조사하였다. 실증분석 결과에 의하면 인터넷 쇼핑뿐만 아니라 오프라인 쇼핑의 소비자 인식 및 행동을 반영할 때에 소비자들의 온라인에 대한 전반적 선호도 및 제품별 유통채널 의존도가 다른 것으로 나타난다. 또한, 소비자 제품군을 고려하여 보면 '온라인에 대한 혜택요인을 더욱 더 크게 느끼는 소비자들의 경우에는 온라인에서 구매하려는 제품군의 수가 크다' 또는 '온라인에 대한 위험요인을 더욱 더 크게 느끼는 소비자들의 경우에는 인터넷에서 구매하려는 제품군의 수가 작다'를 간접적으로 보여주었다.

소비자의 윤리적 소비성향과 사회신뢰수준이 기업의 공익연계 마케팅 성과에 미치는 영향 (A Study on the Effects of Consumer's Ethical Consumption and Social Trust Levels on the Performance of Cause-Related Marketing)

  • 공익연계마케팅은 소비자들이 조직이나 개인의 목적을 만족시키려는 기업과의 이윤 창출적인 교환행위에 참여함에 있어, 기업이 지정된 사회적 명분을 대상으로 일정금액을 기부하는 것을 특징으로 하는 마케팅 활동이다. 본 연구는 공익연계 마케팅 메시지 제시여부가 소비자 제품태도에 미치는 영향력을 확인하고, 더불어 소비자의 윤리적 소비성향 및 사회신뢰성향 그리고 제품유형(실용재 vs. 쾌락재)의 조절적 역할을 규명함으로써 실무적인 시사점을 제시하고자 하였다. 연구결과, 소비자들은 공익연계 마케팅 메시지가 제시되지 않은 제품보다 공익연계 마케팅 메시지가 제시된 제품에 대하여 더 호의적인 태도를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 소비자의 윤리적 소비성향과 사회적 신뢰성향이 높을 경우 공익연계 마케팅 메시지가 더 강한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 하지만 제품유형에 대한 조절효과는 유의하지 않은 것으로 나타났다. 이들 결과는 기업이 공익연계 마케팅 활동을 전개하는 것도 중요하지만, 그에 앞서 소비자들의 윤리적 소비성향과 사회적 신뢰성향을 높여줄 수 있는 다양한 캠페인 등을 전개할 때, 이러한 마케팅 활동이 보다 큰 성과를 낼 수 있음을 시사하고 있다.

온라인 쇼핑몰VMD에 대한 지각된 가치의 영향요인으로 소비자 조절초점 역할에 관한 연구 (A Study on Consumers' regulatory focus as a determinant of perceived value of online shopping mall VMD)

  • 의류제품 온라인쇼핑몰의 고객확보 경쟁이 날로 치열해 짐에 따라 쇼핑몰 재방문도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 관심이 높아지고 있다. 쇼핑몰의 VMD는 소비자의 쇼핑몰 선택에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인으로 평가되고 있다. 기존연구에서 VMD가 소비자 선택과 쇼핑경험에 미치는 영향은 규명되었지만, 소비자의 목적지향적 특성에 따라 소비행동(선택과 평가, 성과반응)에 어떤 차이를 보이는지에 대한 연구는 부족하였다. 일반적으로 소비자는 쇼핑몰이나 제품을 평가하고 선택할 때 다양한 전략을 사용한다. 소비자가 사용하는 전략과 개인적 목적지향 성향의 적합성에 따라 소비행동과 성과평가에 차이를 보일 가능성이 높다. 최근 이와 같은 개인특성을 설명하는 이론이 조절초점이론이다. 본 연구는 인터넷 쇼핑몰 상황에서 VMD 요소가 개인적 목적지향 성향인(조절초점)에 따라 소비자 반응(쇼핑몰 충성도)에 미치는 민감성에 차이가 있는지를 실증하였다. 실증연구는 두 개의 연구로 진행되었다. [연구 1]에서는 소비자의 초절초점이 온라인 쇼핑몰 VMD 요소의 평가에 차이가 있는지를 검정하였다. 분석결과, 향상초점 성향이 강한 소비자는 시각적요소와 엔터테인먼트 속성에 민감한 반면, 예방초점 소비자는 안전과 프라이버시 속성을 더 중요하게 생각하는 것으로 조사되었다. [연구 2]에서는 온라인 VMD의 지각된 가치가 충성도에 미치는 영향에 있어 소비자 조절초점의 조절효과를 검정하였다. 조절회귀분석을 실시한 결과, 향상초점 소비자는 쾌락적 가치가 충성도에 더 많은 영향을 미치는 반면, 예방초점 소비자는 실용적 속성이 충성도에 더 많은 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

탐색쾌악주의대망상소비자행위적조절작용(探索快乐主义对网上消费者行为的调节作用) (Investigating the Moderating Impact of Hedonism on Online Consumer Behavior)

  • 考虑到消费者和供应商的利益, 公司利用网络为媒介来沟通并向消费者销售产品. 这一趋势使得很多研究者和实践者都关注网上购物环境这一领域. 本文测试了网上消费者行为和具有不同快乐主义水平的网址的模型. 与以往的研究不同, 我们包括了所有三种情绪(激励, 快乐和支配)并将此运用到模型中. 本研究中, 我们假设网址的外观, 例如背景颜色, 音乐和字体在消费者最初接触到网址时均影响三种情绪(Mazaheri, Richard, and Laroche, 2011). 反之, 这些情绪会影响消费者对网址氛围的感知–网址信息量, 效率和娱乐性的感知. 这些假设与Zajonc (1980)的研究一致. 他认为情感的作用是独立于感性的和认知操作并且可以影响回应. 我们因此提出网址氛围和流量的感知影响消费者对网址和产品的态度, 网址卷入和购买意图. 另外, 我们研究网址的快乐主义水平对模型中所有关系的调节作用. 因此, 我们比较享乐网址路径系数 "高" 和 "低". 我们用39个真实的网站涵盖了12种产品类别(8种服务和4种实物产品)来测试模型. 这其中, 回复者认为20个是高享乐, 19个为低享乐. Video UGC 제작 동기와 행위 과정에 관한 이해: 구현의도이론 (Theory of Implementation Intentions)의 적용을 중심으로 (Understanding User Motivations and Behavioral Process in Creating Video UGC: Focus on Theory of Implementation Intentions)

  • UGC(User Generated Contents) is emerging as the center of e-business in the web 2.0 era. The trend reflects changing roles of users in production and consumption of contents on websites and helps us to understand new strategies of websites such as web portals and social network websites. Nowadays, we consume contents created by other non-professional users for both utilitarian (e.g., knowledge) and hedonic values (e.g., fun). Also, contents produced by ourselves (e.g., photo, video) are posted on websites so that our friends, family, and even the public can consume those contents. This means that non-professionals, who used to be passive audience in the past, are now creating contents and share their UGCs with others in the Web. Accessible media, tools, and applications have also reduced difficulty and complexity in the process of creating contents. Realizing that users create plenty of materials which are very interesting to other people, media companies (i.e., web portals and social networking websites) are adjusting their strategies and business models accordingly. Increased demand of UGC may lead to website visits which are the source of benefits from advertising. Therefore, they put more efforts into making their websites open platforms where UGCs can be created and shared among users without technical and methodological difficulties. Many websites have increasingly adopted new technologies such as RSS and openAPI. Some have even changed the structure of web pages so that UGC can be seen several times to more visitors. This mainstream of UGCs on websites indicates that acquiring more UGCs and supporting participating users have become important things to media companies. Although those companies need to understand why general users have shown increasing interest in creating and posting contents and what is important to them in the process of productions, few research results exist in this area to address these issues. Also, behavioral process in creating video UGCs has not been explored enough for the public to fully understand it. With a solid theoretical background (i.e., theory of implementation intentions), parts of our proposed research model mirror the process of user behaviors in creating video contents, which consist of intention to upload, intention to edit, edit, and upload. In addition, in order to explain how those behavioral intentions are developed, we investigated influences of antecedents from three motivational perspectives (i.e., intrinsic, editing software-oriented, and website's network effect-oriented). First, from the intrinsic motivation perspective, we studied the roles of self-expression, enjoyment, and social attention in forming intention to edit with preferred editing software or in forming intention to upload video contents to preferred websites. Second, we explored the roles of editing software for non-professionals to edit video contents, in terms of how it makes production process easier and how it is useful in the process. Finally, from the website characteristic-oriented perspective, we investigated the role of a website's network externality as an antecedent of users' intention to upload to preferred websites. The rationale is that posting UGCs on websites are basically social-oriented behaviors; thus, users prefer a website with the high level of network externality for contents uploading. This study adopted a longitudinal research design; we emailed recipients twice with different questionnaires. Guided by invitation email including a link to web survey page, respondents answered most of questions except edit and upload at the first survey. They were asked to provide information about UGC editing software they mainly used and preferred website to upload edited contents, and then asked to answer related questions. For example, before answering questions regarding network externality, they individually had to declare the name of the website to which they would be willing to upload. At the end of the first survey, we asked if they agreed to participate in the corresponding survey in a month. During twenty days, 333 complete responses were gathered in the first survey. One month later, we emailed those recipients to ask for participation in the second survey. 185 of the 333 recipients (about 56 percentages) answered in the second survey. Personalized questionnaires were provided for them to remind the names of editing software and website that they reported in the first survey. They answered the degree of editing with the software and the degree of uploading video contents to the website for the past one month. To all recipients of the two surveys, exchange tickets for books (about 5,000~10,000 Korean Won) were provided according to the frequency of participations. PLS analysis shows that user behaviors in creating video contents are well explained by the theory of implementation intentions. In fact, intention to upload significantly influences intention to edit in the process of accomplishing the goal behavior, upload. These relationships show the behavioral process that has been unclear in users' creating video contents for uploading and also highlight important roles of editing in the process. Regarding the intrinsic motivations, the results illustrated that users are likely to edit their own video contents in order to express their own intrinsic traits such as thoughts and feelings. Also, their intention to upload contents in preferred website is formed because they want to attract much attention from others through contents reflecting themselves. This result well corresponds to the roles of the website characteristic, namely, network externality. Based on the PLS results, the network effect of a website has significant influence on users' intention to upload to the preferred website. This indicates that users with social attention motivations are likely to upload their video UGCs to a website whose network size is big enough to realize their motivations easily. Finally, regarding editing software characteristic-oriented motivations, making exclusively-provided editing software more user-friendly (i.e., easy of use, usefulness) plays an important role in leading to users' intention to edit. Our research contributes to both academic scholars and professionals. For researchers, our results show that the theory of implementation intentions is well applied to the video UGC context and very useful to explain the relationship between implementation intentions and goal behaviors. With the theory, this study theoretically and empirically confirmed that editing is a different and important behavior from uploading behavior, and we tested the behavioral process of ordinary users in creating video UGCs, focusing on significant motivational factors in each step. In addition, parts of our research model are also rooted in the solid theoretical background such as the technology acceptance model and the theory of network externality to explain the effects of UGC-related motivations. For practitioners, our results suggest that media companies need to restructure their websites so that users' needs for social interaction through UGC (e.g., self-expression, social attention) are well met. Also, we emphasize strategic importance of the network size of websites in leading non-professionals to upload video contents to the websites. Those websites need to find a way to utilize the network effects for acquiring more UGCs. Finally, we suggest that some ways to improve editing software be considered as a way to increase edit behavior which is a very important process leading to UGC uploading.
