Fashion Design for Environment using Pre-Consumer Textile Waste (폐원단을 이용한 친환경 패션디자인)

  • This study started with the cognition of problem that design activities closely related to industries could cause damages to the environment. The purpose of this study was to suggest a new concept of fashion design for environment using pre-consumer textile wastes which are produced in cutting process and used to be disposed in landfill sites. To achieve the purpose of this study, the literatures about fashion design for environment were reviewed, and design process including design development, producing, and presentation was performed. As a result, three fashion designs for environment using textile wastes were suggested. The results of this study were followings. Using pre-consumer textile wastes, this study suggested realistic way of fashion design for environment which is not just showing environment image, but providing practical use as well as preventing the waste of resources. Second, through constructing textile wastes, both 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional designs were possible, and unexpected effects created new value of beauty. Third, because the amount and type of pre-consumer textile wastes are unlimited, this fashion design for environment could be considered as continuous profit model.

  • This paper proposes fast speaker adaptation method using artificially distorted speech in telematics terminal under the car noise environment based on eigenspace-based maximum likelihood linear regression (ES-MLLR). The artificially distorted speech is built from adding the various car noise signals collected from a driving car to the speech signal collected from an idling car. Then, in every environment, the transformation matrix is estimated by ES-MLLR using the artificially distorted speech corresponding to the specific noise environment. In test mode, an online model is built by weighted sum of the environment transformation matrices depending on the driving condition. In 3k-word recognition task in the telematics terminal, we achieve a performance superior to ES-MLLR even using the adaptation data collected from the driving condition.

Analysis on Spatial Pattern of Child Care Environment in Rural Area using Accessibility (접근성을 이용한 농촌지역 유아보육환경의 공간적 특성 분석)

  • This study is to evaluate the per capita accessibility to child care facilities using road map in rural village unit considering the supply and demand of child care facilities in municipal (Si-Gun) units. Using these estimated accessibility, the most accessible regions to child care facilities was identifies using Moran's index. Assuming establish a new child care facility in the most accessible region, the sensitivity of child care environment was analyzed. The number of regions are 71 si-gun-gu where supply of child care facilities is insufficient. The average accessibility per capita is 1.09 km to child care facilities and the average accessibility in Myeon unit is approximately 2.2 times higher than accessibility in Eup unit (Eup unit 0.54 km, Myeon unit 1.21 km). Approach tendency from village to child care facilities has positive relationship as 0.451 global Moran's index. The high-high (H-H) accessibility regions are wide as Gangwon-do, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Gyeongsangnam-do, Jeollanam-do and Chungcheongbuk-do. Assumed to be established the new child care facilities in Yangyang-gun (Ganwon-do), accessibility changes of child care environment are up to 2.7 times greater and the recipient population is 77% of Yangyang-gun.

  • With introduction of amended educational curriculum in 2007, optimizing project of educational environment to accomplish its purposes and goals includes expanding educational facilities and supplying eco-friendly school facilities. However, while the focus of optimizing project of educational environment is quality improvement of educational facilities, aging of these facilities built at th times of quantitative expansion and its management become serious problems. Higher concerns on studies and jobs on management of building caused by serious aging of facilities, management cost of building becomes a very crucial issue. Therefore, this study aims to analyze environment improvement budget of school facilities through building and using data warehouse, by investigating and analyzing the current status of environment improvement budget of school facilities and its cost through questionnaire and interview surveys on officers who are in charge of environment improvement budget of school facilities in educational administrations. This study thus analyzed environment improving budget of school facilities by using data warehouse technology collecting related data to the topic and setting levels by region, school class, establishment year, school facility types and others.

  • This study was carried out to development the environment-friendly control method of Myzus persicae using Beauveria bassiana and Environment-friendly agricultural materials (EFAM). Germination rate the dried conidia of B. bassiana was 90 percent at $24{\sim}27^{\circ}C$ temperature condition. Mortality of M. persicae was 56.7% at $1{\times}10^7$ cfu/ml conidia concentration. Four EFAM such as Pachungtan, Wangjungwang, Newbiodakill, Muginchon were low toxicity to B. bassiana growth. Among them, Muginchon (derris extract) and Wangjungwang (neem extract) could have synergistic effect to aphid mortality when mixing treat with B. bassiana, which protection value was 99% in 3 days after treat.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the geological environment changes of tidal flat in the Hampyeong Bay. Especially, it centers on the changes in the sedimentary environment using remote sensing data. Multi-temporal Landsat data were used in this study. Remote sensing methods can be effectively applied for quantitative analysis of geological environment changes in tidal flat.

In treatise, We describe a design and an implementation of the gateway system that is based 3-tier model using corba in middleware.   • This paper designed 3D animation in consideration of human characteristics to stimulate their interest and to be more understandable to them. It was also confirmed that, using the 3D animation contents, general people came to recognize the problem of environment pollution and developed desirable attitude and behavior for protecting the environment. Furthermore, this paper suggested the ruins original form restoration technique of the residential environment and the natural environment of Hanyang in the Joseon Dynasty period using the 3D virtual reality digital recovery techniques.

  • An approach to robot force control, which allows force manipulations to be realized without overshot and overdamping while in the presence of unknown environment, is given in this paper. The main idea is to use dynamic compensation for known robot parts and fuzzy compensation for unknown environment so as to improve system performance. The fuzzy compensation is implemented by using rule based fuzzy approach to identify unknown environment. The establishment of proposed control system consists of following two stages. First, similar to the resolved acceleration control method, dynamic compensation and PID control based on known robot dynamics, kinematics and estimated environment compliance is introduced. To avoid overshoot the whole control system is constructed overdamped. In the second stage, the unknown environment stiffness is estimated by using fuzzy reasoning, where the fuzzy estimation rules are obtained priori as the expression of the relationship between environment stiffness and system response. Based on simulation result, comparisons between cases with or without fuzzy identifications are given, which illustrate the improvement achieved.

  • This paper presents the method of AGV(Automatic guided vehicle)'s moving environment(plane, corner, edge) recognition using SONAR sensor configuration. As for the SONAR sensor, the Crosstalk effect has been generally considered as an inevitable noisy phenomenon in the indoor environment. However, this effect can be used as a clue for classifying and localizing targets in the indoor environment if those can be controlled and used well. EERUF(error eliminate rapid ultrasonic firing) is a method for firing multiple ultrasonic sensors in mobile robot application and multi-echo mode of POLARIOD Device can reduce the Crosstalk effect. Here, Crosstalk effect was reduced using EERUF and applied to the AGV with a simple wall-following algorithm in the indoor environment. This method was tesed by a typical AGV with multi SONAR sensors in the laboratory environment.
