This paper proposes a 2-D texture segmentation algorithm which is in close analogy to amplitude demodulation in communication systems. First, we show that it is theoretically possible to segment a multitexture image using an ideal filter followed by an amplitude demodulation block. However, in practice, the Gabor filter is used instead of the ideal filter because it has many desirable properties and especially it gives optimum space-bandwidth product. Our algorithm recovers all the texture regions containing the sinusoid with frequency to which the Gabor filter is tuned. We have demonstrated the discriminating power of our method in using a synthetic multitexture image. It is clear mathematically and easy to implement. Our method can be a good alternative to avoid many problems encountered in classifying the feature vectors in feature-based texture segmentation approaches.

Pantograph design Process must be considered in terms of stability of aerodynamics and reduction of aeroacoustics. Furthermore pantograph needs to be insensible to severe circumstance condition like typhoon, tunnel, a change of season. In this paper, robust design of panhead sections is conducted based on the Taguchi's design of experiment method. In the aeroacoustic noise analysis, an acoustic analogy using the Ffowcs Williams and Hawkings(FW-H) equation is used to calculate the flow induced sound pressure level in aeroacoustics. From the near-field CFD analysis data, the far-field noise is predicted at the positions of 25 m away from Pantograph. Based on aerodynamic(CFD) and aeroacoustic(FW-H) analysis data, the optimal sizing and Positioning of panhead elements are determined using robust design optimization method. Design parameters such as thickness, length and radius are controllable factors, while outdoor air temperature and atmospheric pressure are considered as uncontrollable factors in the context of Taguchi's approach. A number of CFD simulation and aeroacoustic analysis are performed based on orthogonal arrays. In this paper, two-step optimization method is used as a parameter design procedure. It is executed using signal to noise(S/N) ratio and analysis of means(ANOM) method. So Thus, an optimal level of design parameters Is extracted to minimize the disconnection ration between contact strips and catenary system, and reduce the far-field aeroacoustic noise.

This paper reviews and assesses the analogy between the human immune system and network intrusion detection systems. The promising results from a growing number of proposed computer immune models for intrusion detection motivate this work. The paper begins by briefly introducing existing intrusion detection systems (IDS's). A set of general requirements for network-based IDS's and the design goals to satisfy these requirements are identified by a careful examination of the literature. An overview of the human immune system is presented and its salient features that can contribute to the design of competent network-based IDS's are analysed. The analysis shows that the coordinated actions of several sophisticated mechanisms of the human immune system satisfy all the identified design goals. Consequently, the paper concludes that the design of a novel network-based IDS based on the human immune system is promising for future network-based IDS's

Carlitz module is used to study abelian extensions of K=$F_{q}$(T). In number theory every abelian etension of Q is contained in a cyclotomic field. Similarly every abelian extension of $F_{q}$(T) with some condition on .inf. is contained in a cyclotomic function field. Hence the study of cyclotomic function fields in analogy with cyclotomic fields is an important subject in number theory. Much are known in this direction such as ring of integers, class groups and units ([G], [G-R]). In this article we are concerned with the ring of integers in a cyclotomic function field. In [G], it is shown that the ring of integers is generated by a primitive root of the Carlitz module using the ramification theory and localization. Here we will give another proof, which is rather elementary and explicit, of this fact following the methods in [W].[W].
A theoretical model known as the modified rotating-angle softened-truss model (MRA-STM), which is a modification of Rotating-Angle Softened-Truss Model and Modified Compression Field Theory, is presented for the analysis of reinforced concrete membranes in shear. As an application, shear strength and behaviour of reinforced concrete exterior beam-column joints are analysed using the MRA-STM combining with the deep beam analogy. The joints are considered as RC panels and subjected to vertical and horizontal shear stresses from adjacent columns and beams. The strut and truss actions in a beam-column joint are represented by the effective transverse compression stresses and a softened concrete truss in the proposed model. The theoretical predictions of shear strength of reinforced concrete exterior beam-column joints from the proposed model show good agreement with the experimental results.

The self-noise from blade cascade at off-design points mainly comes from separated boundary layer and vortex sheddings, and is also dependent on blade shape. If the incidence angle to the cascade increases, the stalling in blades may occur and the noise level increases significantly. The hybrid method using acoustic analogy was employed to compute the far-field noise spectra and directivity patterns from the separated vortex shedding at off-design points of the cascade of impeller. This paper is compared with the experimental data of a stationary cascade in the same conditions. The simulated result is in excellent .agreement with the measured data except th slight under-prediction near the maximum radiation angle for a dipole sound.
There is an agreement that sociocultural forces affect on the types of arts. There have been a little attempts to draw analogy between architecture and music. There are many objective and subjective factors for this to be true. If, however, the two arts are out of much the same social conditions, they show a degree of conformity in design and general organization. Our study shows the interrelationship between the Residential Space and structure of music. In order to clarify the interrelationship between architecture and music, the study examines ten Residential Spaces suggested by Yi-Jinkyung. The Residential Spaces are analyzed by using theory of Space Syntax. The structure of music is analyzed by tonality, counterpoint and harmony. The comparison between the Residential Spaces and music follows : From Renaissance to the 19th century, they have the same tendency to 1) openness & closure to the outer space and 2) the netting diagram in the inner space & Counterpoint 3) the tree diagram in the space & Harmony
Carnival is an allowed chance to express ordinarily suppressed and overlooked emotions. Especially with strong meaning of daily overthrow masks, masquerades, and mask-costumes are essential for expressing methods and festival personality reasons. Carnival in modern society without losing a significant portion religion in a format suitable for the era of secularization and the transformation has been created of nothing, that is not a reflection of society is also a cultural phenomenon of its own internal social and external conditions through a variety of means can analogy cultural phenomenon is a stage. The purpose of this research comes from the carnival festivities, religious background, but the daily routine of life to know who joined his escape with the conduction of the role, going to enjoy the satire and humor, using the Dress to the eruption, which means that the form of the festival variety of analysis and with the victory of the expression of cultural phenomena and features on the festival and the dress for you should you wish to study.
