Under the dual pressure of population growth and land shortage, threedimensional development is the inevitable choice for cities in China. In such a scenario, a mixed-use complex has considerable potential in its realization and research. Based on space syntax and the three-dimensional visibility graph analysis, this paper describes the spatial and functional layout of the Shanghai Super Brand Mall and studies the relationship between spatial visibility and user behaviour through linear regression analysis and correlation analysis. This paper studies three different types of user behaviour, namely, path selection, staying selection, and store selection, and finds that spatial visibility and accessibility have different effects on user behaviour depending on the type and purpose of the activity. This paper reveals the influence of spatial and functional layout on user behaviour and puts forward the corresponding design strategy under the three-dimensional environment.

Since the decentralized structure and the blindness of a large-scale wireless network make it difficult to collect the real-time channel state or other information from random distributed relays, a fundamental question is whether it is feasible to perform the relay selection without this knowledge. In this paper, a Slotted ALOHA based Greedy Relay Selection (SAGRS) scheme is presented. The proposed scheme allows the relays satisfying the user's minimum transmission request to compete for selection by randomly accessing the channel through the slotted ALOHA protocol without the need for the information collection procedure. Moreover, a greedy selection mechanism is introduced with which a user can wait for an even better relay when a suitable one is successfully stored. The optimal access probability of a relay is determined through the utilization of the available relay region, a geographical region consisting of all the relays that satisfy the minimum transmission demand of the user. The average number of the selection slots and the failure probability of the scheme are analyzed in this paper. By simulations, the validation and the effectiveness of the SAGRS scheme are confirmed. With a balance between the selection slots and the instantaneous rate of the selected relay, the proposed scheme outperforms other random access selection schemes.

Recently, data traffic is significantly increased by high rate data service. As a result, radio spectrum is considered one of the most scarce and valuable resources for wireless communications. For the solution of this problem, cognitive radio(CR) has been proposed as an efficient means to opportunistic spectrum sharing between primary (licensed) users and cognitive radio users. In this paper, user selection scheme in CR networks is proposed for additional consideration of secondary system. The proposed user selection scheme mitigates interference to primary user by using orthogonal channel vectors while improves performance of secondary system. Simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves 1.62bps/Hz higher average throughput of whole system than one of the existing scheme.

Nowadays, various researches fulfill in many communication engineering area for B4G (Beyond Forth Generation). Next LTE-A (Long Term Evolution Advanced), MU-MIMO (Multi-User Multi Input Multi Output) method raises to upgrade throughput performance. However, the method of user selection is not decided because of many types and discussions in MU-MIMO system. Many existing methods are powerful for enhancing performance but have various restrictions in practical implementation. Fairness problem is primary restriction in this area. Existing papers emphasis algorithm to increase sum-rate but we introduce an algorithm about dealing with fairness problem for real commercialization implementation. Therefore, this paper introduces new user selection method in MU-MIMO system. This method overcomes a fairness problem in SUS (Semiorthogonal User Selection) algorithm. We can use the method to get a similar sum-rate with SUS and a high fairness performance. And this paper uses a hybrid method with SC-SUS (Superposition Coding SUS) algorithm and SUS algorithm. We find a threshold value of optimal performance by experimental method. We show this performance by computer simulation with MATLAB and analysis that results. And we compare the results with another paper's that different way to solve fairness problem.

In a CR (cognitive radio) network, channel selection is one of the important issues for the efficient channel utilization. When the CR user exploits the spectrum of primary network, the interference to the primary network should be minimized. In this paper, we propose a spectrum hole prediction based channel selection scheme to minimize the interference to the primary network. To predict spectrum hole, statistic properties of primary user's traffic is used. By using the predicted spectrum hole, channel is selected and it can reduce the possibility of interference to the primary user and increase the efficiency of spectrum utilization. The performance of proposed channel selection scheme is evaluated by the computer simulation.
While numerous studies have suggested the significance of uncertainty during the process of information-seeking, less research has investigated user uncertainty in the actual search process using a real system. This study investigated user perceptions of uncertainty in the process of the selection of information retrieval system in the real information-seeking process. Considering the role of commercial Web search engines as supplementary tools for traditional bibliographic databases in academic research environments, this study analyzed the selection behavior of scholarly researchers, who use such search tools for their academic study. The researchers were limited to the discipline of science in order to understand user perceptions in this field. The findings revealed various dimensions, types, and incidents of uncertainty. Variations appeared in different incidents of uncertainty relating to the unique characteristics of the subjects' information-seeking context. The identification of three principal origins of uncertainty based on the different types of uncertainty generated implications to improve information systems and services.

In this paper, the system-level performance is evaluated for the feedback scheme on the pre-coding matrix index (PMI) and channel quality indication (CQI), which are required for user selection in the multi-user MIMO system. Our analysis demonstrates that the number of users, the number of selected users, and codebook size are the key factors that govern the performance of the best companion grouping (BCG)-based user scheduling. Accordingly, we have confirmed that the probability of forming the co-scheduled user group is determined by these factors, which implies that the number of PMI's and codebook size can be dynamically determined so as to maximize the average system throughput as the number of users varies in the cell.
3D interaction between humans and computers has been possible with the popularization of virtual reality, and it is important to study natural and efficient virtual reality user interfaces. In user interface development, it is essential to analyze and evaluate user factors. In order to analyze the influence of factors on users who use the virtual reality color picker, this paper divides the user groups based on whether they major in art or design, whether they have experience in virtual reality, and whether they have prior knowledge about 3D color space. The color selection error and color selection time of all user groups were compared and analyzed. Although there were statistically significant differences according to the user groups, all user groups used the virtual reality color picker accurately and effectively without any difficulties.

A novel algorithm for joint user selection and optimal power allocation for Stackelberg game-based revenue maximization in a downlink non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) network is proposed in this study. The condition for the existence of optimal solution is derived by assuming perfect channel state information (CSI) at the transmitter. The Lagrange multiplier method is used to convert the revenue maximization problem into a set of quadratic equations that are reduced to a regular chain of expressions. The optimal solution is obtained via a univariate iterative procedure. A simple algorithm for joint optimal user selection and power calculation is presented and exhibits extremely low complexity. Furthermore, an outage analysis is presented to evaluate the performance degradation when perfect CSI is not available. The simulation results indicate that at 5-dB signal-to-noise ratio (SNR), revenue of the base station improves by at least 15.2% for the proposed algorithm when compared to suboptimal schemes. Other performance metrics of NOMA, such as individual user-rates, fairness index, and outage probability, approach near-optimal values at moderate to high SNRs.
This paper presents a novel user selection method based on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio (SINR), which is approximated using limited feedback data at the base stations (BSs) of multiple user multiple-input multiple-output (MU-MIMO) systems. In the proposed system, the codebook vector index, the quantization error obtained from the correlation between the measured channel and the codebook vector, and the measured value of the largest singular value are fed back from each user to the BS. The proposed method not only generates precoding vectors that are orthogonal to the precoding vectors of the previously selected users and are highly correlated with the codebook vector of each user but also adopts the quantization error in approximating the SINR, which eventually provides a significantly more accurate SINR than the conventional SINR-based user selection techniques. Computer simulations show that the proposed method enhances the sum rate of the conventional SINR-based methods by at least 2.4 (2.62) bps/Hz when the number of transmit antennas and number of receive antennas per user terminal is 4 and 1(2), respectively, with 100 candidate users and an SNR of 30 dB.
