This study was carried out to manufacture wooden vessels by small diameter wood and wasted wood of Castanea crenata Sieb. et Zucc, which has been largely planted in southern area. We made spice set, tea box set, cookie vessel set, bowl set and accessory set. With the development of edged tools, the human species has been able to fashion wood to change and enhance its environment - one only has to look at the history of all cultures to see examples of wooden artifacts and structures. Even with the development of synthetic materials and the progress of automated, mechanized production of wood and wood products, the raw material is still processed by traditional methods to meet a never-ending demand for products made from this most desirable natural material. Chestnut wood has high added value and natural color grain and is very useful for wooden vessel. Thinned low grade trees can be used to produce wooden vessel. Therefore this result can promote thinning and produce good forestation.

The biologically active compounds derived from different natural organisms such as animals, plants, and microorganisms like algae, fungi, bacteria and merine organisms. These natural compounds possess diverse biological activities like anthelmintic, antibacterial, antifungal, antimalarial, antiprotozoal, antituberculosis, and antiviral activities. These biological active compounds were acted by variety of molecular targets and thus may potentially contribute to several pharmacological classes. The synthesis of natural products and their analogues provides effect of structural modifications on the parent compounds which may be useful in the discovery of potential new drug molecules with different biological activities. Natural organisms have developed complex chemical defense systems by repelling or killing predators, such as insects, microorganisms, animals etc. These defense systems have the ability to produce large numbers of diverse compounds which can be used as new drugs. Thus, research on natural products for novel therapeutic agents with broad spectrum activities and will continue to provide important new drug molecules.

Response surface methodology (RSM) is a useful collection of experimentation techniques for developing, improving, and optimizing products and processes. When we are to estimate second-order regression model and optimize quality characteristic by RSM, central composite designs and Box-Behnken designs are widely in use. However, in developing cutting-edge products, it is very crucial to reduce the time of experimentation as much as possible. In this paper small-sized second-order designs are introduced and their estimation abilities are compared in terms of D-optimality, A-optimality, and variance of regression coefficients, ease of experimentation, number of experiments. Then we present a guideline of using specific designs for specific experimentation circumstances. The result of this study will be beneficial to experimenters who face experiments which are expensive, difficult, or time-consuming.

XML(eXtensible Markup Language) based electronic catalog is very useful for searching target information because of its structural and contents based searching support capability. And XML document editing is easier than HTML because of XML document is divided by structure, contents and presentation. This paper is to present a prototype of XML based Electronic Catalog Management System(ECMS) whose system consists of data input, output and manipulation system for inserting, updating, editing and deletion. A proposed system could resolved the problems at virtual intermediary shopping mall invloved in the difficulty of interoperability when customer try to compare similar products at mixed shopping mall and reduced web service costs at independent shopping mall by using XML format. The proposed ECMS offers rapid response capability for product data change of electronic catalog and easy and friendly interoperability among similar products.

This paper is a development of the integrated system which combined Manure Pallet Pool System(MPPS) and Agricultural products Pallet Pool System(APPS). It is an management tool which helps to reduce logistics costs successfully and Improve pallet availability. Already traditional PPS was implemented by pallet rental company, but it was irrationally. So this paper proposed MPPS-and-APPS describes how to combine MPPS with APPS, operates this system and measure rental pallet rates. Using a newly developed management technique for MPPS-and-APPS, i.e., 2-dimensional contract, this system will needs motivate managers and employees to improve their company's value. And it allows enterprise leaders to create profit through system structure improvement. Furthermore, this paper is useful for performance of measure and application in operational unit.

Recycling involves processing used materials into new products and remanufacturing is an industrial process in which worn-out products are restored to like-new condition. Recycling and remanufacturing industry is environmentally and economically important industry and provides significant benefits to prevent waste of potentially useful materials and reduce energy usage. The purpose of this research is to investigate the trend of recycling and remanufacturing industry in Korea and other countries like Germany, Japan and America. The yield information is generally quite valuable to promote green growth industry as an important alternative in the 21st century.

We should maintain the maximum operation capacity for production facilities and find properly out the fault of each equipment rapidly in order to decrease a loss caused by its failure. The acoustic signals of a machine always carry the dynamic information of the machine. These signals are very useful for the feature extraction and fault diagnosis. We performed a fundamental study which develops a system of fault diagnosis for a pump. We obtained noises by a microphone, analysed and compared the signals converted to Sequency range for normal products, artificially deformed products. We tried to search a change of noise signals according to machine malfunctions and analyse the type of deformation or failure. The results showed that acoustic signals as well as vibration signals can be used as a simple method for a detection of machine malfunction or fault diagnosis.

Fashion business is undergoing a severe competition because of the various consumers' needs, over production, and short product life styles. The purpose of this study is to investigate the role of personalization in apparel shopping. Characterizing the notion of the personalization typology, investigating the effect of personalization to different consumers, and providing useful issues to draw more target consumers are to be accessed. For empirical research a survey method was employed. A measure for personalization in apparel shopping was developed based in existing scale items and pilot study. Consumers responded highly on design personalization in shopping apparel products. Factor analysis extracted six dimensions of apparel product personalization. Six types of personalization were: "personalized advice", "personalized design choice", "personalized fit", "sales-promotion personalization", "personalized costomer relationship management" and "in-store personalization".
