Purpose : The purpose of this study was to develop an index of usability that reflects the needs and characteristics of the elderly. The usability index is used primarily to assess issues in the usability of a product. Methods : In this study, 22 items for mobile toilet usability index were developed by consulting with 12 elderly users, 6 caregivers, and 12 experts. The usability evaluation index was intended to increase reliability through preliminary and main evaluations. In addition, the validity of the items used as the usability evaluation index was verified to prove that the index is effective for the evaluation. Result : The usability index is a welfare tool developed by gathering data from various sources such as previous studies dealing with usability evaluation, characteristics of users, range of use, and environment of product use. Conclusion : The development of the usability index for mobile toilets was useful for the user to quantitatively derive the problem of the product. Consequently, user needs and usability problems can be identified, which can help improve product quality.

디지털 기술의 발전과 제품의 정보화로 인해 최근 사용자 인터페이스 디자인의 중요성이 더욱 더 증대되고 있다. 따라서 사용자 인터페이스의 개선이 어느정도 효과가 있는지를 체계적이고 합리적인 방법으로 측정하고 관리하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구는 사용자 인터페이스 디자인에 있어서 사용성이 얼마나 개선되었는지를 나타내는 측정 가능한 '사용성 개선지수'를 개발하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 먼저 기존의 사용성 평가방법과 선행연구에 대한 분석을 통해 사용성 개선지수 개발을 위한 사용성 측정 및 평가방법에 대한 틀을 마련하였다. 다음으로는 측정 가능한 사용성의 특성을 분류, 정의하고 이를 바탕으로 사용성 개선지수 산출 프로세스를 제안하였다. 현재의 사용성 수준을 측정하고 문제점을 분석하여 사용성을 개선한 대안을 제시하고, 개선된 사용성 수준을 측정하여 개선전과 개선 후의 사용성 수준을 비교할 수 있게 하였다. 개발된 사용성 개선지수는 실제 제품의 사용성평가와 개선작업을 사례연구로 진행하여 그 적용 가능성을 확인하였다. 본 연구는 목표에 의한 UI디자인을 가능하게 하고 사용성을 체계적이고 합리적인 방법으로 개선하고 관리하는데 도움을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

This study reviews usability of PC communication softwares with different dialogue types of user interface. Usability test was conducted to evaluate usability of 3 PC communition softwares which are currently utilized in Korea. Learnability was adopted as an index of usability evaluation, so learning time, testing time and scores were measured as dependent variables. It is suggested that softwares with mixing dialogue type(menu, icon, command) which were implemented in window systems environment were not superior to that with command dialogue type.

The KJC and KCI services operated by the National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) need to refer to the global citation index database to set the service direction that researchers want and develop new functions. Therefore, in this study, the usability of Korea's KJC and KCI web databases was evaluated. In addition, FGI verification was performed for a group of experts on KJC and KCI improvement measures derived by academic information experts. The evaluation committee consisted of the researcher group, the society related group, the publisher (academic information distribution organization) group, and the policy-making organization group. A total of 16 experts performed usability evaluation and service improvement proposals for KJC and KCI services. As a result of usability evaluation of KJC and KCI web database using SUS measurement tool, KJC service was evaluated as 73.44, and KCI service was evaluated as good as 64.38. KJC improvement proposals were evaluated positively with 4 points or more for all improvement items, and KCI improvement proposals were positively evaluated with 3.5 points or more for all improvement items. Overall, KJC and KCI error improvements were evaluated with a score of 4 or more, showing strong affirmations. In the future, it is hoped that the improvement proposals and improvements proposed in this study will be applied to the development of KJC and KCI services, so that more quality services will be used by domestic researchers.

최근 일반인의 배뇨활동에 도움을 주는 장치가 개발되고 있으나, 사용자의 배뇨 습관과 기능, 사용자의 접근성 등을 고려한 제품은 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 배뇨활동에 도움을 주는 장치 중 자동 석션 기능 등 융, 복합 기능을 지니고 있는 스마트 자동 소변처리기를 기준으로 사용자의 만족도와 제품의 개선점을 찾고자 사용성평가를 실시하였다. 개발된 사용성평가 지표는 모두 21개이며, 안전성과 조작성, 만족도를 기준으로 개발하였다. 그 결과 기능적인 만족도는 높았으나, 디자인 측면에서는 손잡이 등의 개선해야 할 문제점이 제시되었다. 따라서 본 연구를 통해 자동 소변처리기의 성능측면의 만족도가 제품을 대표할 수 없으며, 제품의 문제점을 찾기 위한 사용성평가 지표 개발의 중요성을 알게 되었다.

모바일 무선인터넷 서비스(WAP)는 휴대폰이라는 제한된 화면 크기와 조작부, 브라우저 및 OS에서의 UI 구현상의 제약 등으로 인해 사용성이 고객만족도에 더욱 중요한 영향을 미치는 요소가 되고 있다. 특히 여러 다양한 콘텐츠 제공사에 의해 각각의 서비스가 개발되어 제공되는 현 상황에서, 이러한 서비스들의 UI 품질수준을 일관된 기준과 방법으로 효과적인 관리를 할 필요가 있다. 본 연구에서는 다양한 무선 인터넷 서비스들에 대한 일관된 UI 수준관리를 위한 사용성 지수 평가 체계를 제안한다. 제안된 평가 체계는 사용성 관련 사용성 지표와 UI 원칙으로부터 무선 인터넷 서비스에서의 UI 설계 요소와 평가 항목들을 도출하는 top-down 방식과, 기존 UI 설계 지침으로부터 사용성과 관계된 평가 항목들을 도출하고, 이들을 사용성 원칙과 지표 관점에서 그룹핑하는 bottom-up 방식을 통해 평가 체계 및 항목들이 구축되었다. 이러한 양방향 평가 체계 구축 방법은 사용성 문제를 야기할 수 있는 다양한 측면을 사용성 지표 관점에서 빠짐없이 고려할 수 있을 뿐 아니라, 실제 서비스 환경과 관련된 UI component 관점에서 구체적인 평가 항목들을 도출할 수 있다는 장점이 있다. 이러한 방법을 통해 구조화된 평가 체계는 사용성 지표와 각 지표와 관계된 사용성 원칙인 UI 가이드라인, 각 가이드라인 별로 구체적인 평가를 위한 UI component 별 평가항목들간 연결을 통해 계층적으로 구성되어 있다. 특히 각 평가 항목들을 O/X 로 판정할 수 있는 구체적인 내용과 형태로 구성하고, 전체 평가 항목 대비 만족된 평가항목의 비율로써 해당 서비스의 사용성 접수가 도출될 수 있게 하여 무선 인터넷 서비스의 사용성 수준을 정량적인 값으로 파악할 수 있도록 하였다. 제안된 평가 체계는 사용자 테스트를 통한 실제 사용성 문제와 비교 분석되어 그 효과별 검증하였으며, 평가 항목별로 평가 대상 및 기준, 사례를 안내해주고 지표별 접수를 자동으로 계산해 주는 S/W 로 구현되어 실제 무선 인터넷 서비스의 평가 및 개선작업에 적용되었다.

소프트웨어 자산을 평가하기 위해 정형화되지 않은 평가 방법으로 자산의 평가가 이루어져왔다. 본 연구에서는 기존의 소프트웨어 자산에 대한 복잡도의 측정으로부터 확보된 최적화된 자산의 사용성을 평가하고자 한다. 자산의 내부정보에 대한 논리적 복잡도를 측정하여 아키텍처의 복잡성에 대한 척도를 이용하였으며, 재사용성에 관여된 지표를 측정하여 소프트웨어 자산의 사용성과 어떠한 관계를 갖는지 평가하였다. 따라서 HVs는 두 가지 유형의 자산에 대하여 다양한 자산의 구성 방식에 따라 일정한 비율을 유지하며 적용되는 특성을 갖고 있는 것을 알 수 있다. 그러므로 자산의 사용성면에서 최적화된 자산은 가능한 다양성을 확보한 상태에서 아키텍처 설계과정에 정형성을 갖고 적용할 수 있을 것이다.

Objective: The purpose of the study is to develop quantitative usability evaluation criteria for senior-friendly autonomous transportation robot. Background: The Republic of Korea has become the most rapidly aging society, and is anticipated to enter the post-aged society in 2026. To raise the quality of life of a senior with limited mobility and to reduce the burden of caregivers, many high-tech assistive products with information technologies are developed nowadays. The senior-friendly autonomous transportation robot is one person robot vehicle to move a senior to the destination for hospitals, nursing homes or silver town complex. With built-in navigation system and environmental monitoring censors, it automatically seeks the path to the destination and avoids collision to obstacles and pedestrians on the way. Due to the early stage of the product, few usability studies in this field have been done, mostly on general service robots to assist seniors, power wheelchairs and delivery robots. ISO and KS standards for the service robots are focused on safety. Method: Based on the reference usability index, the early draft of the usability evaluation questionnaires was developed. After small group tests and interviews, the experts modified the initial draft to the Usability Evaluation Criteria for Senior-Friendly Autonomous Transportation Robot (UEC-SFATR). Result: UEC-SFATR consisted of 4 subscales - Safety, Controllability, Efficiency and Satisfaction. All of the 4 subscales of UEC-SFATR were passed the reliability criteria by 4 groups of seniors, divided by gender and familiarity of smart-devices. Conclusion: UEC-SFATR covers wider area of user experiences of the SFATR and is a good measurement tool to help both the users and developers of the robot. Application: This study provides guide to the future product development and product competitiveness evaluation by quantifying user experiences for the SFATR.

본 연구는 병원정보시스템 품질 평가에 대한 문헌들을 고찰하고, 소프트웨어 품질 속성과 측정 내용들을 분석하여 병원산업의 특성을 반영한 바람직한 정보시스템 평가 방법의 제안에 있다. 병원정보시스템 품질 평가의 척도와 내용들은 주관적이며 일관성이 결여된 내용들이 주를 이루고 있었고, 가장 많이 채택된 척도는 만족도이었다. 또한 ISO9241-11에서 제시된 사용성 측정 내용들과 병원정보시스템에서 사용된 품질 측정항목들을 비교해 보면, 같은 품질척도에서도 전혀 다른 품질 측정 내용을 사용하고 있는 것으로 조사되었고, 병원 산업의 특수성을 나타내기에도 매우 단편적이며 구체성이 결여되어 있었다. 결국 병원산업의 특수성과 품질 평가의 활용도를 증진시키는 방법은 ISO9241-11과 같은 표준 품질 모델과 업무 맥락의 관점에서 사용자 중심의 품질평가 항목 개발이 필요하다.

비대면 의료시스템의 확대로 간호사의 업무 경감 및 효율성을 높이기 위해서 도입되는 원격수액모니터링 장치의 사용성평가를 수행하였다. 원격 수액 모니터링은 수액 측정시술과 분석, 오차 교정기술, 전송기술 등 다양한 기술이 융복합되어 있다. 사용자가 사용하는 범위와 얻고자 하는 정보, 조절 장치 등 사용범위가 넓으며 제품을 평가하는 요소도 다양하다. 따라서 평가를 통해 제품을 개선하는데 어려움이 있다. 본 연구에서는 원격수액모니터링 시스템장치를 제품의 안정성, 조작성, 만족도의 3개 영역에서 20개의 사용성평가를 실시하여 상용화를 위한 제품개선에 도움을 주고자 정량적인 지표를 개발하였다. 적외선 방식과 로드셀 방식의 수액모니터링 장치를 통해 수행하였으며, 안정성에서는 장치의 폴대고정 등 설치작업에 대해 차이가 있었으며, 조작성과 정확성에 대해서는 높은 만족도를 나타내었다. 제품의 만족도에서는 로드셀 장치의 만족도가 대체로 높게 나타났다.
