Two dogs were presented urinary disorder in the associated with urolithiasis. Clinical signs were increased frequency of urination with mild straining pollakiuria, general depression and anorexia. On physical examinations, the pain was revealed at the palpation of the urethral area. Urinalysis showed high specific gravity, high pH, and triple phosphates. Radiography showed an increased radiopacity, and ultrasonography showed hyperecho in the just behind of os penis. Urolithiasis was diagnosed on the basis of clinical signs, radiography, and ultrasonography. In the prescrotal urethrotomy, urethra on the midline was incised and uroliths were eliminated. After elimination of uroliths, incision area was closed with 4-0 synthetic absorbable suture. In postoperative, there was good prognosis without hemorrhage, inflammation, and urethral stricture.

A 5-year-old male Shih-Tzu dog was referred with the primary complaint of scrotal swelling after surgery of urethrotomy 1 week ago. A diagnosis of the patient was made based on history taking, physical examination, laboratory examination, radiography, and ultrasonography. In the blood analysis, increase of leukocyte was seen. And there were enlarged and heterogeneous parenchyma of right testis in ultrasonic evaluation. The case was diagnosed as periorchiepididymitis and followed by treatment with bilateral orchiectomy and postoperative antibacterial agents. And conditions of patient were good.

6년령의 중성화된 수컷 시츄가 본 병원에 혈뇨와 구토로 내원하였다. 혈액검사 결과 BUN, Creatin 수치가 증가한 상태였다. 방사선 상에서 방광 벽 배쪽으로 방사선 비투과성 물질이 붙어있었다. 또한 음경요도에 방사선비투과성 물질로 가득차 있었다 초음파 상에서는 신장에서 양측에서 유출물이 나타났으며, 방광벽은 얇아져 있었고, 음경골 뒤쪽으로 아쿠아틱 쉐도잉을 나타내는 물질이 있었다. 요도폐색으로 인해 배뇨가 확인되지 않아서 방광천자를 하였다. 요분석 결과 혈뇨소견이 나타났으며, 명확한 입자들은 확인되지 않았다. 요로수압추진술을 하였으나 방광까지 개통성을 확보하는 것을 실패하였기 때문에 방광절개술과 요도절개술을 요로수압추진술과 함께 진행하였다. 이 case report는 유레쓰랄 플러그를 가진 수컷 시츄 견에서 임상적 소견, 방사선학적 소견을 설명하였다. 유레쓰랄 플러그가 방광절개술과 요도절개술, 요로수압추진술을 통해 성공적으로 치료된 케이스이다. 이것은 유레쓰랄 플러그를 가진 강아지에서 한가지의 치료방법이 될 수가 있다.

외요도구를 통한 Foley catheter의 유치는 거의 대부분의 경뇨도적 내시경 수술 후 필수적으로 행하는 술기이다. 그러나 가끔, 특히 심한 요도손상을 입힌 경우나 요도에 false tract가 생긴 때에는 통상의 방법으로 Foley catheter의 외요도구를 통한 방광내로의 유치가 곤란하며 또한 심한 손상을 초래할 위험이 많다. 저자는 guide wire를 이용한 새롭고 안전한 요도 catheter의 유치방법을 고안하여 1986년 9월부터 1988년 6월 까지 요도협착으로 입원하여 internal urethrotomy를 받은 후 Foley catheter의 유치가 곤란하였던 7명의 환자 및 경뇨도전립선절제술후 Foley catheter의 삽입이 곤란하였던 3명의 환자에게 각각 시행하여 전례에서 성공하였다.
