The Ubiquitous City (U-City) spatial information technology aimed to provide services freely anytime and anywhere by converging high-tech information & communication technology in urban infrastructure has been available in diverse patterns. In particular, there have been studies on the development of 3D spatial information after selecting and matching key points with stereo images from the many Closed Circuit TV (CCTV) in the U-City. However, the data mostly used in extracting matching points haven't considered external environmental impacts such as illuminance. This study tested how much the matching points needed to construct 3D spatial information with the CCTV whose image quality is dependent upon changes in illuminance fluctuate under the same hardware performances. According to analysis on the number of matching points by illuminance, the number of matching points increased up to 3,000Lux in proportion to the illuminance when IRIS, shutter speed and ISO were fixed. In addition, a border between an object and background became more distinctive. When there was too much light, however, the page became brighter, and noise occurred. Furthermore, it was difficult to name key points because of the collapse of an inter-object border. It appears that if filmed with the study results, the number of matching points would increase.
Crib wall is one of the segmental grid retaining walls using headers and stretchers to establish the framework of the wall. In this method, grids formed by the intersection of headers and stretchers are generally filled with the gravel to maintain the weight of the wall. Therefore, the construction can be carried out with higher speed and much economically when compared with the concrete retaining wall. Furthermore, it has high drain capacity, and environmentally friendly aspects also have been pointed out because the possibility of the planting at the front of the wall. However, in the wooden crib wall method, the relative movement between the individual headers and stretchers was generally recognized, and stress redistribution in the gravel filling was also observed when subjected to the external loading and self-weight of filling. In this study, it was analyzed fracture types and causes of wooden crib wall through detailed investigation and analysis of a large crib wall construction site. As a results, it occurred the damage in the members of 5.7% in a total of 2,315 locations and the damage of header occurred in the members of a header 80.2%. The 65.7% of the damaged header are concentrated in the lower part of crib wall. Therefore, it was analyzed the differences of fracture types and causes of wooden crib wall depending on the installation position and the kinds of members. It is considered basically the members of various forms of distortion and the grain affecting.
The purpose of this study is to derive indicators and development directions to be considered when planning new towns in the Seoul metropolitan area as new towns are planned to be built. To this end, the following implications were derived after analyzing the survey data of experts in each field using Frequency Analysis and Analysis of Variance(ANOVA) technique. First, the assessment results of the existing first and second phase new towns showed that there were many negative assessments of citizen participation and information sharing, smart technologies and services, social and cultural diversity and inclusion. Regarding the third phase new town, experts said that the most important indicators are accessibility and convenience of transportation, environmental comfort, quality and service of residence. In addition, experts cited the superiority of landscape/design, jobs/self-sufficiency and social/cultural diversity as important indicators. Second, after examining whether the perceptions and assessments of experts differ depending on individual characteristics such as gender, age, occupation, and professional field, the first and second phase new towns showed significant differences only in "gender", and the third phase new town had significant differences in "gender" and "professional field". Third, experts thought that changes in population structure, industry and jobs, quality of life and diversity, environment and climate change, and social and residential welfare should be considered important in the planning of third phase new town. In addition, experts considered expanding park and self-sufficient land as important in the land use plan, and ranked eco-city as a desirable type of the city, and public transportation facilities, park areas and education facilities as the most important living infrastructure.
Since 1964, HSR, which was opened in Japan, has had a hoge impact on the world. Historically, HSR has similar characteristics to the Roman Road, which promoted rapid movement and hada great influence on international society as transport infrastructure. Recently the development of HSR has become more rapid because of economic, environmental and external cost concern, emphasizing Environmentally Sustainable Transport(EST). In particular, the external cost has become more important factor for justifying HSR. The successful factors of HSR are high demand and cost minimal construction costs. There are two successful HSR models, the Japanese and the French. The former operates based on high demand oriented and the latter focuses on its minimizing costs. The demand orientated model means HSR carries over 100,000 passengers per day as in Japan and Far East Asian countries. The cost minimized model focuses on lower operation and construction costs as in France. In particular, Germany carries both passengers and freight on HSR. The construction costs in Germany are in between those of Japan and France. In future, Korea, Taiwan and China HSR will follow Japan's successful model because of high population density and concentration of economic activity along railway lines. This paper supports Vickerman's argument that HSR is justified where there is a demand of between 12 million and 15 million railway passenger a year(about 40thousand persons/day) between two urban center. This will be shown in the future in Korea, in Taiwan and China. Finally, this paper reviews that HSR activates at 250km/h for dedicated new lines and 200km/h for upgraded lines. In particular, it is successful in area of high population density and cost minimizing technology.

An increasing number of vehicles is causing various traffic problems such as chronic congestion of highways and air pollution. Local governments have been managing traffic by constructing systems such as Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) and Advanced Traffic Management Systems (ATMS) to relieve such problems, but construction of an infrastructure-based traffic system is insufficient in resolving chronic traffic problems. A more sophisticated system with enhanced operational management capabilities added to the existing facilities is necessary at this point. As traffic patterns of the urban traffic flow is time-specific due to the different vehicle populations throughout the time of the day, a local network-wide signal operation plan that can manage such situation-specific traffic patterns is deemed to be necessary. Therefore, this study is conducted for the purpose of establishment of a plan for contextual signal control management through signal optimization at the network level after setting the Frame Signal in accordance to the traffic patterns gathered from the short-term traffic forecast data as a means to mitigate the problems with existing standardized signal operations.

Recently, urban redevelopment programs and expansion of social infrastructure have caused massive amounts of construction waste in construction fields, and the mounds of it keep increasing every year. The disposal of construction waste is emerging as a national and social issue and the recycled powder generated by the treatment process of waste concrete is all being abolished or buried. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to utilize waste sludge generated by the wet-type treatment process of waste concrete as materials(binder, filler) for cement composite. This study evaluates physical and mechanical properties of mortar using recycled powder according to heating temperature, contents and applications. As a result of the chemical analysis, recycled powder is composed mainly of CaO and $SiO_2$, and that it is even lower in the content of CaO than OPC. The charateristics of mortar using recycled powder, according to drying and heating temperature, shows that as the heating temperature increases, flow decreases. Also, compressive strength and porosity of mortar using recycled powder was superior when heating temperature was $600^{\circ}C$. Thus, it is revealed that an effective development of recycled powder is possible since the binder by cement composite recovers a hydraulic property during heating at $600^{\circ}C$.

This study is aimed at the improvement of administrative operations of landscape design competitions and qualitative enhancement of design quality by mutually comparing the guidelines and entry plans. The case targeted for the current study is landscape design proposals for the Seoul Hangdong Bogeumjari Housing District recently launched within a greenbelt zone in the outskirts of Seoul. The study examines from a critical perspective the design guidelines and the contents of the three winning design proposals with a focus on whether or not they have reflected the guidelines. It was observed that many provisions of the principles and conceptual guidelines which serve as clues to the designs for winning designs proposals show the direction in which the project is to be headed It was also observed that the provisions and the way they are expressed are intertwined, while, at the same time, the guidelines were not organized or developed in an orderly manner. Such a structural pattern of the guidelines is linked to the aspects of the contents of the winning design proposals as described in the following. It is observed that guidelines related to the direction in which the design to be headed are so regulatory and lengthy that they are overly standardized. This could make it difficult to read the possibility of the alternative shifts in the winning design proposals. At the same time, the attributes of winning design proposals themselves, which require observable discriminatory superiority, could serve as a factor causing excess of meanings by jumping on the bandwagon of naming. On the contrary, where autonomy of design is guaranteed or no guidelines are provided for the winning design proposals, discriminatory differences were observed, thereby making it easy to measure them This illustrates well that guidelines and structural format should be provided through a separate undertaking that has taken into careful consideration environmental traits of the site in question, objectives required and so forth.
The purpose of this study is to analyze community members' perception due to impacts on use and development of Dulegil in Bukhansan National Park. The study was conducted by questionnaire survey sent to community members of the vicinity of Dulegil. Average score of positive impact on the local community was 3.2. Positive impacts mentioned by community members were 'heightened pride in their community with increased community image' and 'improvement of landscape and natural environment.' Improved residents' awareness of landscape and natural environment indicated that Dulegil almost accomplished intended goal of preservation of ecosystem. However, actual effects on ecosystem preservation and local economy were not perceptible yet. Score of negative impact was 2.8 on average. 'Traffic congestion' and 'increase in noise level' were considered the most serious among the negative impacts. Environmental pollution and destruction of vegetation in the lowland were deemed relatively bad. Regarding resident awareness of community, those in their 50s and older were quite satisfied with the community. However, young people showed lower level of satisfaction. In order to satisfy all ages, infrastructure and programs for the youth should be in place. To minimize negative awareness of impacts of Dulegil, visitor's attitude should be changed, and education and training on the value and mind set of horizontal hiking are required.
Recently , as GIS technology is rapidly improved and stabilized, there are some needs to reuse pre-developed and powerful GIS technology. GIS standardization based on components and open interfaces becomes a way to solve those reusability of previous GIS technology. This GIS standardization currently focuses on building the GIS Data Infrastructure that is being deployed globally. Especially, OpenGIS consortium which is mainly made up of international GIS leading vendors is announcing some GIS abstract specifications and implementation specifications. This study focuses on how could we design and implement the OLE/COM-based data provider component based on various DBMS or file systems, how could these data provider components be used for enterprise UIS(Urban Information Systems) and how could various formatted GIS data be shared in one system. Also some problems practically caused by an implementation process of data provider component are listed up and some solutions are given. Furthermore, design and analysis of UML(Unified Modeling Language) was reformed through the data provider component development task and this UML methodology is able to indicate a standardized model for newly developed data provider component.
In response to the recent 4th industrial revolution, the demand for 3D object models in the latest fields of digital twin, autonomous driving, and VR/AR, as well as the existing fields such as city, construction, transportation, and energy has increased significantly. It is expected that the demand for 3D object models with various precision from LOD1 to LOD4 will increase more and more in various industry fields. However, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and the local government and the private sector have partially built 3D object models of different precisions for some specific regions because of the huge cost. Therefore, this study proposes a feasible plan that can solve the cost problem in generating 3D object models for the whole territory. For our purpose, we first analyzed usage, demand, generation technology and generation cost for 3D object models. Afterwards, we proposed LOD3 model generation plan for all territory using automatic 3D object model generation technology based on image matching. Additionally, we supplemented the proposed plan by using LOD4 generation plan for landmarks and LOD2 generation plan non-urban area. In the near future, we expect this would be a great help in establishing a feasible and effective 3D object model generation plan for the whole country.
