Morphological analysis and POS tagging require a dictionary for the language at hand . In this fashion though it is impossible to analyze a language a dictionary. We also have difficulty if significant portion of the vocabulary is new or unknown . This paper explores the possibility of learning morphology of an agglutinative language. in particular Korean language, without any prior lexical knowledge of the language. We use unsupervised learning in that there is no instructor to guide the outcome of the learner, nor any tagged corpus. Here are the main characteristics of the approach: First. we use only raw corpus without any tags attached or any dictionary. Second, unlike many heuristics that are theoretically ungrounded, this method is based on statistical methods , which are widely accepted. The method is currently applied only to Korean language but since it is essentially language-neutral it can easily be adapted to other agglutinative languages.
In this paper, we propose a classifier based on modular networks using an unsupervised learning method. The structure of each module is designed through stochastic analysis of input data and each module classifier data independently. The result of independent classification of each module and a measure of the nearest distance are integrated during the final data classification phase to allow more precise c classification. Computation time is decreased by deleting modules that have been classified to be incorrect during the final classification phase. Using this method. a neural network sharing the best performance was implemented without considering. lots of of variables which can affect the performance of the neural network.
A new Mirai variant found recently was equipped with a dynamic update ability, which increases the level of difficulty for DDoS mitigation. Continuous development of 5G technology and an increasing number of Internet of Things (IoT) devices connected to the network pose serious threats to cyber security. Therefore, researchers have tried to develop better DDoS mitigation systems. However, the majority of the existing models provide centralized solutions either by deploying the system with additional servers at the host site, on the cloud, or at third party locations, which may cause latency. Since Internet service providers (ISP) are links between the internet and users, deploying the defense system within the ISP domain is the panacea for delivering an efficient solution. To cope with the dynamic nature of the new DDoS attacks, we utilized an unsupervised artificial neural network to develop a hierarchical two-layered self-organizing map equipped with a twofold feature selection for DDoS mitigation within the ISP domain.
The unsupervised domain adaptation can solve the impractical issue of repeatedly collecting high-quality training data every year for annual crop classification. This study evaluates the applicability of deep learning-based unsupervised domain adaptation models for crop classification. Three unsupervised domain adaptation models including a deep adaptation network (DAN), a deep reconstruction-classification network, and a domain adversarial neural network (DANN) are quantitatively compared via a crop classification experiment using unmanned aerial vehicle images in Hapcheon-gun and Changnyeong-gun, the major garlic and onion cultivation areas in Korea. As source baseline and target baseline models, convolutional neural networks (CNNs) are additionally applied to evaluate the classification performance of the unsupervised domain adaptation models. The three unsupervised domain adaptation models outperformed the source baseline CNN, but the different classification performances were observed depending on the degree of inconsistency between data distributions in source and target images. The classification accuracy of DAN was higher than that of the other two models when the inconsistency between source and target images was low, whereas DANN has the best classification performance when the inconsistency between source and target images was high. Therefore, the extent to which data distributions of the source and target images match should be considered to select the best unsupervised domain adaptation model to generate reliable classification results.
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to set up an anomaly detection criteria for sensor data coming from a motorcycle. Methods: Five sensor values for accelerator pedal, engine rpm, transmission rpm, gear and speed are obtained every 0.02 second from a motorcycle. Exploratory data analysis is used to find any pattern in the data. Traditional process control methods such as X control chart and time series models are fitted to find any anomaly behavior in the data. Finally unsupervised learning algorithm such as k-means clustering is used to find any anomaly spot in the sensor data. Results: According to exploratory data analysis, the distribution of accelerator pedal sensor values is very much skewed to the left. The motorcycle seemed to have been driven in a city at speed less than 45 kilometers per hour. Traditional process control charts such as X control chart fail due to severe autocorrelation in each sensor data. However, ARIMA model found three abnormal points where they are beyond 2 sigma limits in the control chart. We applied a copula based Markov chain to perform statistical process control for correlated observations. Copula based Markov model found anomaly behavior in the similar places as ARIMA model. In an unsupervised learning algorithm, large sensor values get subdivided into two, three, and four disjoint regions. So extreme sensor values are the ones that need to be tracked down for any sign of anomaly behavior in the sensor values. Conclusion: Exploratory data analysis is useful to find any pattern in the sensor data. Process control chart using ARIMA and Joe's copula based Markov model also give warnings near similar places in the data. Unsupervised learning algorithm shows us that the extreme sensor values are the ones that need to be tracked down for any sign of anomaly behavior.

We are to build an unsupervised machine learning-based language model which can estimate the amount of information that are in need to process words consisting of subword-level morphemes and syllables. We are then to investigate whether the reading times of words reflecting their morphemic and syllabic structures are predicted by an information-theoretic measure such as surprisal. Specifically, the proposed Morfessor-based unsupervised machine learning model is first to be trained on the large dataset of sentences on Sejong Corpus and is then to be applied to estimate the information-theoretic measure on each word in the test data of Korean words. The reading times of the words in the test data are to be recruited from Korean Lexicon Project (KLP) Database. A comparison between the information-theoretic measures of the words in point and the corresponding reading times by using a linear mixed effect model reveals a reliable correlation between surprisal and reading time. We conclude that surprisal is positively related to the processing effort (i.e. reading time), confirming the surprisal hypothesis.

Most deep learning (DL) approaches for bridge damage localization based on a structural health monitoring system commonly use supervised learning-based DL models. The supervised learning-based DL model requires the response data obtained from sensors on the bridge and also the label which indicates the damaged state of the bridge. However, it is impractical to accurately obtain the label data in fields, thus, the supervised learning-based DL model has a limitation in that it is not easily applicable in practice. On the other hand, an unsupervised learning-based DL model has the merit of being able to train without label data. Considering this advantage, this study aims to propose and theoretically validate a damage localization approach for bridges using a variational autoencoder, a representative unsupervised learning-based DL network: as a result, this study indicated the feasibility of VAE for damage localization.
Supervised learning based on deep learning has made a leap forward in various application fields. However, many supervised learning methods work under the common assumption that training and test data are extracted from the same distribution. If it deviates from this constraint, the deep learning network trained in the training domain is highly likely to deteriorate rapidly in the test domain due to the distribution difference between domains. Domain adaptation is a methodology of transfer learning that trains a deep learning network to make successful inferences in a label-poor test domain (i.e., target domain) based on learned knowledge of a labeled-rich training domain (i.e., source domain). In particular, the unsupervised domain adaptation technique deals with the domain adaptation problem by assuming that only image data without labels in the target domain can be accessed. In this paper, we explore the unsupervised domain adaptation techniques.
Single image rain removal is a typical inverse problem which decomposes the image into a background scene and a rain streak. Recent works have witnessed a substantial progress on the task due to the development of convolutional neural network (CNN). However, existing CNN-based approaches train the network with synthetically generated training examples. These data tend to make the network bias to the synthetic scenes. In this paper, we present an unsupervised framework for removing rain streaks from real-world rainy images. We focus on the natural phenomena that static rainy scenes capture a common background but different rain streak. From this observation, we train siamese network with the real rain image pairs, which outputs identical backgrounds from the pairs. To train our network, a real rainy dataset is constructed via web-crawling. We show that our unsupervised framework outperforms the recent CNN-based approaches, which are trained by supervised manner. Experimental results demonstrate that the effectiveness of our framework on both synthetic and real-world datasets, showing improved performance over previous approaches.
In the era of the 4th industrial revolution, smart factories have received great attention, where production and manufacturing technology and ICT converge. With the development of IoT technology and big data, automation of production systems has become possible. In the advanced manufacturing industry, production systems are subject to unscheduled performance degradation and downtime, and there is a demand to reduce safety risks by detecting and reparing potential errors as soon as possible. This study designs a model based on supervised and unsupervised learning for detecting anomalies. The accuracy of XGBoost, LightGBM, and CNN models was compared as a supervised learning analysis method. Through the evaluation index based on the confusion matrix, it was confirmed that LightGBM is most predictive (97%). In addition, as an unsupervised learning analysis method, MD, AE, and LSTM-AE models were constructed. Comparing three unsupervised learning analysis methods, the LSTM-AE model detected 75% of anomalies and showed the best performance. This study aims to contribute to the advancement of the smart factory by combining supervised and unsupervised learning techniques to accurately diagnose equipment failures and predict when abnormal situations occur, thereby laying the foundation for preemptive responses to abnormal situations. do.
