주의 집중 방법이 다트 던지기 역학에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Different Types of Attentional Focus on Dart Throwing Mechanics)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of different types of attentional focus(internal focus vs. external focus) on the dart throwing mechanics. Seven expert dart throwing athletes were assigned to an internal focus group and other seven athletes were assigned to an external focus group. Each group was asked to throw dart either under verbal instruction or without instruction. During dart throwing, accuracy(radial error), consistency(bivariate variable error), dart velocity, acceleration, elbow joint ROM, elbow joint angular velocity, EMD(electromechanical delay), iEMG of biceps brachii and triceps brachii, and CI(coactivation index) were collected and analyzed. Nither instruction type nor instruction itself affected in accuracy and consistency. However, in dart velocity and acceleration, there was an interaction between instruction and attentional focus types. Velocity and acceleration increased in the internal condition, where as they decreased in the external condition. The ROM of elbow joint did not affected by instruction and attention type. However, similar to dart velocity and acceleration, angular velocity increased in internal focus group, while it decreased in external focus group. EMG showed no difference with any condition. In conclusion, internal focus is better than external focus for dart throwing.

탐구적 과학 글쓰기 수업이 초등학생의 탐구 능력과 과학 태도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Science Writing Heuristic (SWH) Instruction on Elementary School Students' Science Process Skills and Scientific Attitude)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effects of science writing heuristic(SWH) instruction based on Tolumin's structure of argument, on students' science process skills and scientific attitude. In the instruction, unstructured problems were selected with issues to be argued, in which interactions among students are stressed. This research involved 58 students of 5th grade at an elementary school, and divided them into an experimental group with 29 and a control group with 29. The former was treated with instruction using argumentation as SWH, while the latter with conventional ways of instruction. Science process skills and scientific attitude were compared between the two groups and within each of the groups. The results implied that science instruction using science writing heuristic is effective in improving learning science process skills and scientific attitude.

수학 교과에서의 교과 역량을 반영한 수업비평문 개발 연구 (The Development of the Items on Class Critiques Involving the Mathematical Competencies)

  • This study is to establish the items on class critiques based on the mathematical competencies according to the mathematics curriculum revised in 2015. Namely, this study deals with the items on how pre-service or in-service teachers understand and comment on mathematics instruction on their own instruction or peers' instruction. To accomplish this, first of all the draft items on instructional reviews was developed by researchers of this study on the basis of the previous study(Hwang, 2018). In order to revise and develop the draft items, the experimental study was executed. The experimental study was done by the subject of 11 groups who are undergraduate students in the educational college of C University. The subject was supposed to watch an in-service middle school mathematics teacher's excellent instruction(study) video and to comment the instruction video on the draft items on class critiques. While analyzing the comments of the subject, the revised items on the class critiques were to be develop. Based on this study, from now on, the final and ideal items on the class critiques would be establish to reflect and comment teachers' instruction.

  • WBI(Web Based Instruction)는 교수 학습 자료의 개발 부담으로 특정 교과에 국한되어 있다. 본 논문은 WBI를 워드프로세서의 수업에 적용하여 인터넷 기반의 개별화된 교수-학습 시스템을 구현하였다. WBI를 적용한 워드프로세서 수업 방식은 전통적 수업 방식에 비해 학생들이 더욱 흥미를 느끼게 하고, 워드프로세서의 수준별, 능력별, 단계별 학습 선택으로 인해 학생 중심의 학습을 가능하게 하였다. 또한 개별학습 과제를 통해 학습내용을 실시간 평가 할 수 있으며 피드백이 가능하여 학습 효과를 극대화시킬 수 있었다.

웹기반교육의 효과성 제고를 위한 학습자 평가준거 개발 (Learner's Evaluation Criteria of Effectiveness of Web-based Instruction)

  • 웹기반교육에서 학습의 주체는 학습자이다. 교육전문가나 전문적인 시스템 개발자가 효과적이라고 생각하는 웹기반교육을 학습자는 전혀 다르게 받아들여질 수 있다. 이에 본 연구는 학습자가 성공적인 웹기반 교육이라고 인정하는 주요 조건들을 살펴보고자 하였다. 진행한 연구방법으로는 문헌분석을 통해 효과적인 웹기반 교육의 전략들을 총 35개의 준거들을 도출하여 설문조사한 후 요인분석을 실시하여 4개의 요인 28개의 평가준거들을 도출하였다. 연구결과에 따르면 학습자들은 의미있는 웹기반교육을 교수전략, 시스템편의성, 학습지원, 화면구성 등의 영역 안에서 평가함을 알 수 있었으며, 이러한 영역들의 효율성을 제고하기 위해서는 체제적 교수설계 전략을 통한 웹기반교육의 요구분석, 설계, 개발, 운영, 평가 등의 일련의 과정을 충실하게 따라야 할 것이다.

Phonological Awareness Integrated Instruction: The Effect of Analogies/Anagrams on Vocabulary Acquisition Scores

  • Research studies have shown that phonological awareness focused analogies and anagrams can be used as an effective game-based teaching instruction. However, previous studies used analogies and anagrams as separate instructional tools, especially in EFL-related situations. There has been no vocabulary learning in analogies/anagrams instruction provided, nor has there been usage of an integrated workbook for 'vocabulary learning and analogies/anagrams'. This study examined the effect on learners' vocabulary acquisition scores when a truly phonological awareness integrated 'analogies/anagrams and vocabulary learning' workbook was used as an instructional practice workbook. The results show that the phonological awareness integrated instruction significantly increased learners' vocabulary acquisition scores among 40 college students with minimal or basic level of English proficiency.

Covert Channel Based on Instruction Gadgets in Smart Sensing Devices

  • In this paper, we design a covert channel based on instruction gadgets in smart sensing devices. Unlike the existing convert channels that usually utilize diverse physical characteristics or user behaviors or sensory data of smart sensing devices, we show that instruction gadgets could be exploited for covert channel establishment in smart sensing devices. In our devised covert channels, trojan smart sensing devices exchange attack packets in such a way that they encode an attack bit in attack packet to a series of addresses of instruction gadgets and decode an attack bit from a series of addresses of instruction gadgets.

예비 초등 교사의 좋은 수학 수업에 대한 인식 (Prospective Elementary School Teachers' Conception on Good Mathematics Instruction)

  • Prospective teachers need to have an opportunity to critically examine their initial perception with regard to effective mathematics instruction during the teacher education period. This study analyzed the perception in relation to good mathematics instruction by a total of 265 prospective teachers from four institutes for elementary teacher education using a survey. The results of this study showed that the pre-service teachers regarded learner, teaching and learning method, selection of content, and construction of curriculum as important for high-quality mathematics instruction. However, they revealed relatively low levels of agreement against the importance of instructional materials, classroom environment and atmosphere, and assessment. On the basis of teachers' perception on each element of effective mathematics instruction, this paper raises issues for discussion and includes some implications for teacher education.

High Performance Implementation of SGCM on High-End IoT Devices

  • In this paper, we introduce novel techniques to improve the high performance of AE functions on modern high-end IoT platforms (ARM-NEON), which support SIMD and cryptography instruction sets. For the Sophie Germain Counter Mode of operation (SGCM), counter modes of encryption and prime field multiplication are required. We chose the Montgomery multiplication for modular multiplication. We perform Montgomery multiplication in a parallel way by exploiting both the ARM and NEON instruction sets. Specifically, the NEON instruction performed 128-bit integer multiplication and the ARM instruction performed Montgomery reduction, simultaneously. This approach hides the latency for ARM in the NEON instruction set. For a high-speed counter mode of encryptions for both AE functions, we introduced two-level computations. When the tasks were large volume, we switched to the NEON instruction to execute the encryption operations. Otherwise, we performed the encryptions on the ARM module.

Bounding Worst-Case Performance for Multi-Core Processors with Shared L2 Instruction Caches

  • As the first step toward real-time multi-core computing, this paper presents a novel approach to bounding the worst-case performance for threads running on multi-core processors with shared L2 instruction caches. The idea of our approach is to compute the worst-case instruction access interferences between different threads based on the program control flow information of each thread, which can be statically analyzed. Our experiments indicate that the proposed approach can reasonably estimate the worst-case shared L2 instruction cache misses by considering the inter-thread instruction conflicts. Also, the worst-case execution time (WCET) of applications running on multi-core processors estimated by our approach is much better than the estimation by simply assuming all L2 instruction accesses are misses.
