비전공자 인문계열을 위한 인공지능(AI) 보편적 교육 설계 (Artificial Intelligence(AI) Fundamental Education Design for Non-major Humanities)

  • 4차 산업혁명 시대가 도래함에 따라 다양한 산업 분야에서 AI 활용역량이 강조되고 있다. 그러나 현재 보편적 교육으로서의 AI 교육 설계 연구 및 역량 중심교육 커리큘럼 연구가 부족하다. 본 연구에서는 대학에서의 비전공자를 위한 역량 중심 AI 리터러시 함양을 위한 보편적 AI 교육을 설계하는 데 목적을 둔다. 인문계열 AI 기초교육 설계를 위해 3차에 걸쳐 전문가 대상으로 설문을 진행하였고, 그 결과를 반영하여 도출된 설계 내용의 신뢰도를 검증하였다. 그 결과, AI 리터러시 함양을 위한 주요역량은 데이터 리터러시, AI 이해 및 활용능력이었으며, 이를 토대로 도출된 주요 세부 영역으로는 데이터 구조 이해 및 가공, 시각화, 워드클라우드, 공공데이터 활용, 머신러닝 개념 이해 및 활용이었다. 본 연구를 통해 도출된 교육 설계 내용은 향후 역량 중심의 AI 보편적 교육의 필요성과 가치를 높일 수 있을 것으로 기대한다.

휠체어 사용자의 Universal Access를 위한 시설 접근성 연구 (A Study on the Facility Accessibility of the Wheelchaired Persons for the Concept of Universal Design)

  • Objective: The current study aimed to investigate the accessibility and usability of the disabled person while using the everyday facility. Background: The national laws regulated accommodation of persons with disabilities, but our knowledge on the practical usefulness of the laws and acceptance by the users is still far from complete. Method: Compliance with laws was checked throughout the actual measurement of 87 engineering designs in the facilities of a national university, and the practical usability of the facilities was investigated by in-depth interviews with eight disabled persons. New design solutions were developed by the anthropometric methodology for better accommodation. The target-specific anthropometry database such as sitting knee height with wheelchair was employed. Results: First, the statistic showed that 28.7% of facility designs comply with the law, 29.9% of facility designs doesn't comply with the law, and 41.4% of facility designs doesn't have related law or regulation. Second, the law of table height(71cm in current) can accommodate only 49.3% of wheelchaired population. The following test for 95% accommodation revealed that the table with 80cm high is required. Third, the current law in the door width(90cm) can only accommodate 82.6% of disabled persons, so the new design solution was calculated and suggested that 100cm in the door width is necessary for 99% accommodation of disabled persons. Conclusion: Even with the laws and regulations for the disabilities it was clear that the accessibility and usability of the disabled persons in everyday facilities was still limited. An investigation for the new solutions about a wide range of facilities is necessary for better practical accessibility and usability of the handicapped persons. Application: The results of current study can be a basement of developing a new guideline or regulation of the facility design for the disabled persons.

인증 정보 관리를 위한 기술 동향과 AIM 프레임워크 연구 및 설계 (Technology Trends, Research and Design of AIM Framework for Authentication Information Management)

  • 모바일 시대와 핀테크에 맞물려 바이오 정보를 보안 방식으로 활용하는 바이오 인식 기술이 확산되고 있다. 특히 간편결제 서비스, 교통카드 대체, 바이오 인식 기술과 결합한 모바일 서비스가 확대되고 있다. 인증을 위한 기본 개념인 접근 제어, IA&A, OpenID, OAuth 1.0a, SSO와 생체인식기술들을 고찰하였으며, AIM의 응용 측면에서 보안 API 플랫폼을 위한 프로토콜 스택과 FIDO, SCIM, OAuth 2.0, JSON Identity Suite, OpenStack의 Keystone, 클라우드 기반의 SSO, AIM Agent 등의 기술을 세부적으로 묘사한다. 국내외 인증기술은 FIDO UAF(Universal Authentication Framework)와 U2F(Universal 2 Factor Framework) 연합 중심으로 기술개발 표준화 연구 활동을 가속화될 것이며, 본 연구에서는 최근 컴퓨팅 패러다임의 변화와 사회적 요구를 수용하기 위한 다양한 인증 기술의 동향과 AIM 프레임워크를 설계 및 기능을 정의하였다.

비행제어시스템 설계 및 검증 절차 (Flight Control System Design and Verification Process)

  • Relaxed static stability(RSS) concept has been applied to improve aerodynamic performance of modern version supersonic jet fighter aircraft. Therefore, flight control systems are necessary to stabilize an unstable aircraft, and provides adequate handling qualities and achieve performance enhancements. Standard FCSDVP (Flight Control System Design and Verification Process) is provided to reduce development period of the flight control system. In addition, if this process is employed in developing flight control system, it reduces the trial and error for development and verification of flight control system. This paper addresses the flight control system design and verification process for the RSS aircraft utilizing design goal based on military specifications, linear and nonlinear system design and verification based on universal software, handling quality test based on HILS(Hardware In-the-Loop Simulator) environment, and ground and flight test results to verify aircraft dynamic flight responses.

Sampling-Based Sensitivity Approach to Electromagnetic Designs Utilizing Surrogate Models Combined with a Local Window

  • This paper proposes a sampling-based optimization method for electromagnetic design problems, where design sensitivities are obtained from the elaborate surrogate models based on the universal Kriging method and a local window concept. After inserting additional sequential samples to satisfy the certain convergence criterion, the elaborate surrogate model for each true performance function is generated within a relatively small area, called a hyper-cubic local window, with the center of a nominal design. From Jacobian matrices of the local models, the accurate design sensitivity values at the design point of interest are extracted, and so they make it possible to use deterministic search algorithms for fast search of an optimum in design space. The proposed method is applied to a mathematical problem and a loudspeaker design with constraint functions and is compared with the sensitivity-based optimization adopting the finite difference method.

  • 역사적으로 볼 때, 지난 100여 년 간 자동차 개발의 경향은 기술적인 성능 위주로의 경쟁이 주도하여 왔다고 할 수 있다. 특히 첨단 전자 산업의 급속한 성장에 의한 자동차 기술력의 향상은 단기간에 걸쳐 괄목할만한 결과를 가져온 것이다. 초창기부터 고급차를 생산하는 일부 유명 제조 사에서 현재의 신흥 자동차 제조 사 까지 승용차를 위주로 한 개발기술 능력은 한계에 이를 만큼 매우 근소한 차이로 좁혀져 왔다. 따라서 이제는 자동차 선택의 기준에 디자인이 큰 몫을 하게되었다. 최근의 자동차 스타일의 경향은 보편적인 삶의 질의 향상에 따른 소비자의 다양한 욕구에 만족할 수 있는 개성 있는 디자인으로 변화되고 있다. 따라서, RV, SUV, MPV 등의 자동차가 등장하는가 하면, 각 차종별로 독특한 파생 모델이 나타나고 있다. 본 연구에서는 차세대 개념의 새로운 소형 SUV형 자동차 디자인에 대한 컨셉카 연구를 시도하였다. 리서치에서부터 최종 하드모델까지 자동차 디자인 프로세스에 의거 진행한 전과정은 대우자동차의 디자인 연구소에서 진행되었다. 특히 젊은 연령층이 쉽게 소유할 수 있도록 값싸고 개성 있는 새로운 카테고리의 자동차 개념을 스타일화 하였으며 고객의 반응도를 조사 분석하여 차후 경 SUV 자동차 개발에 참조될 수 있도록 하였다.

Deriving Topics for Safety of Folk Villages Following Scope and Content of ICT-Based DPD

  • This paper presents a novel concept of Disaster Prevention Design (DPD) and its derived subjects and topics for the safety of folk villages in both Korea and Japan. Nowadays, design concepts are focused on 'human-oriented nature' as a whole and this tendency fits to be appropriate for disaster prevention against real dangers of a future society, which is expected to have far more complicated features. On the other hand, convergences have performed with other areas in the field of Information Communication Technology (ICT) so that we can easily find examples like 'the strategy of ICT-based convergence' of the Korean Government in 2014. Modern content designs including UI (user interface) and USN (ubiquitous sensor network) have been developed as one of the representative areas of ICT & UD (universal design) convergences. These days this novel concept of convergence is overcoming the existing limitations of the conventional design concept focused on product and/or service. First of all, from that point our deduced topic or subject would naturally be a monitoring system design of constructional structures in folk villages for safety. We offer an integrated model of maintenance and a management-monitoring scheme. Another important point of view in the research is a safety sign or sign system installed in folk villages or traditional towns and their standardization. We would draw up and submit a plan that aims to upgrade signs and sign systems applied to folk villages in Korea and Japan. According to our investigations, floods in Korea and earthquakes in Japan are the most harmful disasters of folk villages. Therefore, focusing on floods in the area of traditional towns in Korea would be natural. We present a water-level expectation model using deep learning simulation. We also apply this method to the area of 'Andong Hahoe' village which has been registered with the World Cultural Heritage of UNESCO. Folk village sites include 'Asan Oeam', 'Andong Hahoe' and 'Chonju Hanok' villages in Korea and 'Beppu Onsen' village in Japan. Traditional Streets and Markets and Safe Schools and Parks are also chosen as nearby test-beds for DPD based on ICT. Our final goal of the research is to propose and realize an integrated disaster prevention and/or safety system based on big data for both Korea and Japan.

전주시 건지산 숲길 Universal Design 사업 이용후 평가 (The Post Occupancy Evaluation of the Universal Design Project on Geonjisan Forest Trail Jeonju City, South Korea)

  • 전주시 건지산 UD 숲길은 2008년 한국토지공사 초록사회 만들기 공모사업의 일환으로 전북생명의 숲이 주관하여 설계 및 시공이 추진되었다. 이 연구는 이용자 만족도, 이용자 수 조사의 이용후 평가를 통해 UD 숲길 설계의 적정성을 평가하는데 목적이 있다. 연구결과, 건지산 UD 숲길의 주이용자는 60대 이상의 지역주민이 전체이용자의 37%를 차지하며, 이용목적은 산책과 휴식 51.5%, 운동 및 재활치료 40.6%로 나타났다. UD 숲길 만족도는 5점 리커트 척도에서 3.91로 나타났고, 전체 만족도에 영향을 미치는 주요 요소는 관리, 이용충돌, 폭과 경사에 대한 만족도 순서로 나타났다. 이용자수 조사에서 교통약자는 UD 숲길 45명, 기존 숲길 6명으로 나타났다. 연구결과를 통해 건지산 UD 숲길은 교통약자의 이용을 유도하고, 일반인과 교류할 수 있는 기회를 제공하는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 UD 숲길 주변의 높은 경관만족도는 기존지형과 수목을 가능한 보존하고, 목재 데크를 설치함으로써 기존 자연경관이 잘 유지된 점을 나타냈다. 건지산 UD 숲길의 이용후 평가는 도시숲길 조성시 장애인, 노인, 약자, 임산부, 어린이 등 다양한 신체조건의 이용자들이 안전하고 편리하게 이용할 수 있도록 유니버설 디자인 개념의 도입 필요성을 나타내주고 있다.

Optimal model of transportation for people with disabilities: Conceptual proposal designed in CAD

  • This study aimed to develop an optimal model of transportation for people with disabilities. To achieve this goal, powers of research and design should be involved, including CAD software. This paper investigates both: the concept of optimal model of transportation for people with disabilities (functional, ergonomic, constructive, technological and aesthetic solutions included); and its implementation as a fully-fledged 3D-model designed in SolidWorks environment. The optimal model of transportation is complex and consists of two objects. The first object is for indoors that is a wheelchair, the second one is for street driving that is an individual vehicle. The optimal model of transportation is universal and multifunctional, which have become possible with parametric feature-based approach utilized in SolidWorks.

한국적 패션디자인의 현황 연구 (A Study on the Current Situation of Korean Fashion Design)

  • Hanbok had the history of more than 2,000 years, so Hanbok represents the traditional Korean style of dress design. Since 1980's, Hanbok has been changed to be suitable for contemporary society with diverse titles such as reformed Korean clothes, living Korean clothes, contemporary Korean clothes, and fashion Korean clothes, etc. However, Korean clothes of such a new style have not overcome a limitation in traditional styles in terms of design. In this regard, it is necessary for us to try to have the world fashion industry recognize the fashion look of 'Korean style' through the contemporary fashion of Korean image and to pursue the globalization of Korean style through this fashion. This study is firstly to review the characteristics of Korean beauty, secondly to examine the concept in Korean fashion design, and thirdly to iud out the characteristics of contemporary Korean fashion design through the study of successful cases. The characteristics of Korean beauty can be classified into natural beauty, abstract beauty, and humorous beauty. Korean beauty shows the nature and the life of Korean people, and it should make people aware of the character and the tradition of Korean culture. The Korean fashion design is the one that utilize the Korea's unique sentiment or sense of Korean beauty that has been succeeded from the ancient to the present into fashion design by way of visual element like design, color and texture. And the successful Korean fashion designs were the universal fashion designs that enable Korean culture to be hewn to the world through fashion and that enable the entire world market to agree and to accept Korean style. In order to create the global Korean design, it is necessary to assimilate the Western style to Korean style and newly create it into a compromised form. And it is necessary to look for a universal sense of Korean beauty that could be accepted by the people of the world.
