우레탄을 이용한 해양 및 수중구조물의 보수/보강용 신소재 특성 (Characteristic of New Materials for Repairing/Reinforcement of Sea and Underwater Structures using Urethane)

  • In this study, characteristic of new materials for repairing/reinforcement of sea and underwater structures using urethane were studied experimentally. As a results, following their good result was obtained. Materials and construction methods due to a chemical reaction, so no seams, shape or form, regardless of the variety of civil engineering in the field can be applied. Fast workability, hardening existing concrete compared with 80% in shortening. Than the existing large concrete pouring construction cost could be reduced by more than 30%.

초연약지반에 시공된 현장타설말뚝의 시공방안 사례연구 (A Case Study for Construction Method of drilled Shafts installed in Very Soft Soil)

  • During the installation of drilled shafts in very soft ground, to keep the pile shape and to central concrete quality, casing method (wrinkled pipe and embedded steel pipe) and non-casing method have been used. In the construction cost, non-casing method was the most economical. When the wrinkled pipe and the embedded steel pipe casing method are used, an increase of 133% and 123% in the construction cost could be seen. When concrete for drilled shaft was placed under groundwater, underwater unseparation concrete would be used to restrain the concretes's material separation and to control the concrete quality. On the condition of required unseparable and (lowing property was assured, use of less amount of mixed material and flowing material must be recommended.

  • Dynamics of AUV has heavy nonlinearities and many unknown parameters due to its bluff shape and low cruising speed. Intelligent algorithms, therefore, are required to overcome these nonlinearities and unknown system dynamics. Several identification techniques have been suggested for the application of control of underwater vehicles during last decade. This paper applies the neural network to identification and motion control problem of AUVs. Nonlinear dynamic systems of an AUV are identified using feedforward neural network. Simulation results show that the learned neural network can generate the motion of AUV. This paper, also, suggest an adaptive control scheme up-dates the controller weights with reference model and feedforward neural network using error back propagation.

A study on practical method to estimate drag of super-cavitating underwater vehicles

  • In this paper, a simple practical method to estimate the drag of Super-Cavitating Underwater Vehicles (SCUV) is proposed that can obtain the drag with only principal dimensions in an initial design stage. SCUV is divided into cavitator, forebody, afterbody, base, and control fin and the drag of each part is estimated. The formulas for the drag coefficient are proposed for the disk and cone type cavitators and wedges used as control fins. The formulas are a function of cavitation number, cone or wedge angle, and Reynolds number. This method can confirm the drag characteristics of SCUV that the drag hump appears according to the coverage of the body by the cavity and the cavitator drag remains only when the entire body is covered by cavity. Applying this method to SCUV of various shapes, it is confirmed that the effects of cavitating and non-cavitating conditions, cavitator and body shape, and speed could be found.

  • we performed the underwater explosion analysis for the liquefied oxygen tank - a kind of fuel tank of a mid-size submarine, and tried to verify the structural safety for this structure. First, we reviewed the theory and application of underwater explosion analysis using Structure-Fluid Interaction technique and its finite element modeling scheme. Next, we modeled the explosive and sea water as fluid elements, the LOX tank as structural elements and the interface between two regions as ALE scheme. The effect on shock pressure and impulse of fluid mesh size and shape are also investigated. As the analysis result, the shock pressure due explosion propagated into the water region and hit the structure region. The plastic deformation and the equivalent stress highly appeared at the web frame and the shock mount of LOX structure, but these values were acceptable for design criteria.

  • This paper considers the path tracking problem in a horizontal plane for underactuated (or non-holonomic) autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs). Underwater mapping has been an important mission for AUVs. Recently, underwater docking has also become a main research field of AUVs. These kinds of missions basically require accurate attitude and trajectory control performance. However, the non-holonomic problem should be solved to achieve accurate path tracking for the torpedo-type of AUVs. In this paper, resolved motion and acceleration control (RMAC) is considered as a path tracking controller for an underactuated torpedo-shaped AUV, ISiMi. A set of numerical simulations is carried out to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed RMAC scheme, and experimental data with ISiMi100 and discussions are presented.

제주도 연안의 각망어업에 있어서 수중음악에 의한 어군의 유집에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Luring of fish Shoals into the Fyke net by the Underwater Sound Emission)

  • The authors carried out a field experiment to confirm the effect of underwater sound on the luring of fish schools in a setnet in the coast of Cheju Island. The effects of the acoustic emission on the luring of fish schools were observed using a manufectured underwater speaker in the setnet, and pure sound, of which frequency was 600Hz and the source level was 126dB, was emitted on and off at 5 minutes intervals in the set net during the night of ,July 29 and ,July 31. So we had recorded behavior of fish schools by the telesounder with two channel and shape of the setnet by underwater video camera and analyzed them. When the flood and ebb currents were around the setnet, the nets rised to the surface of water and it happened occasionaly at the stand of tide. Therefore, it was in the state that fish schools feel constraint to enter into the setnet, and was required a new design of the setnet stand up to strong tidal current. As the pure sound, of which frequency was 600Hz was emitted for the luring of fish schools in a setnet, the catch ammounts of fish, the young horce mackereWI'rachllrlls japonicus), was increased 4~6 times than not emitted.

  • Laser forming is an advanced process in sheet metal forming in which thermal stress originated from the laser heat source is used to shape the metal sheet. However, substantial waiting time is normally necessary for the workpiece to cool down between consecutive scans so that a steep temperature gradient can be reestablished in the next scan. In order to solve this drawback, laser bending characteristics are experimentally implemented in underwater condition. Laser forming effects under various conditions, including different laser power, scanning velocity, beam diameter, number of passes and material, are investigated. The results show that the underwater laser forming facilitates deliberate forming. The bending angle per respective laser scan is decreased with increasing the number of passes and scanning velocity.

정준상관분석을 이용한 수중표적 분석 (Underwater Target Analysis Using Canonical Correlation Analysis)

  • 일반적으로 수중표적 인식에서는 표적의 형상/재질에 따른 수신 표적신호의 공간적인 정보를 특징인자로 추출하여 식별하고자 하는 특징을 추출하였다. 또한, 표적신호의 수신 위치에 덜 민감한 특징파라미터 추출을 위해 다양한 신호처리 기법을 적용하는 연구가 수행되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 표적신호의 수신위치에 상대적으로 민감하지 않은 정준상관분석(Canonical correlation Analysis; CCA)을 사용하여 합성된 수중물체의 특징을 분석하였다. 다중각도 환경에서 특징추출을 위해 정준산관분석기법이 적용되었으며, 각각 다른 각도에서 수중물체에 반사되어 되돌아오는 연속적인 두개의 소나신호를 대상으로 정준상관분석을 수행하여 두 신호의 상관성을 분석하였다.

중량 특성이 다른 2종류 운동체의 수중거동 해석 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Underwater Behaviors of Two Bodies Having Different Weight Characteristics)

  • 본 연구에서는 수중에서 사출되는 양성부력체와 음성부력체의 수중거동을 사출시험 및 시뮬레이션을 통하여 비교하였다. 다양한 형상을 갖는 음성부력체의 동유체력 계수는 전산유체역학(CFD: Computatioanl Fluid Dynamics) 기법을 이용하여 계산하였으며, CFD에 의해 계산될 수 없는 계수는 기본형과 같은 값을 적용하였다. 종동요각의 시험 값은 시뮬레이션 값보다 훨씬 크게 나타났는데, 이는 추종공기 효과로 추정하였으며, 이 현상을 반영하여 외력 모델링을 수정함으로써 더욱 정확한 시뮬레이션이 가능하였다. 양성부력체와 음성부력체의 수중거동은 같은 사출 조건에서 다소 차이를 보이지만, 운용의 관점에서는 별다른 문제가 없는 것으로 판단하였다.
