The applications of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) are progressively adopting for various smart home services such as home automation, controlling smart home household appliances, constrained application services in a smart home, etc. However, enabling a seamless and ubiquitous WSN communication between the smart home appliances is still a challenging job. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a smart home control system using an Actuator based ZigBee networking (AZNET). The working of the proposed system is further divided into three phases, 1) an interference avoidance system is adopted to mitigate the effect of interference caused due to the co-existence of IEEE 802.11x based wireless local area networks (WLAN) and WSN, 2) a sensor-based smart light control system is used to fulfill the light requirement in the smart home using the sunlight with light source, and 3) an autonomous home management system is used to regulate the usage time of the electronic appliances in the smart home. The smart is tested in real time environment to use the sunlight with light sources in a various time of the day. Similarly, the performance of the proposed smart home is verified through simulation using C# programming language. The results and analysis revealed that the proposed smart home is less affected by the interference and efficient in reducing the energy consumption of the appliances available in the smart home scenario.

다양한 종류의 컴퓨터가 사람, 사물, 환경 속에 내재되어 있고, 이들이 서로 연결되어, 필요한 곳에서 활용할 수 있는 유비쿼터스 환경에서는 홈 네트워크를 통해 이 기종 기기간 다양한 데이터 교환을 요구한다. 더욱이 원활한 영상 데이터의 처리, 전송, 모니터링 기술은 핵심적 요소가 아닐 수 없다. 공간 및 시간적인 해상도, 컬러의 표현 그리고 화질의 측정방법 등 고전적 영상 처리 연구 분야뿐만 아니라 국한된 대역폭을 갖는 홈 네트워크의 전송 체계에서 전송률 문제에 대한 심도 있는 연구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워크 상황에서 콘텐츠의 중심이 되는 영상 데이터의 전송과 처리 그리고 제어를 위하여 새로운 움직임 추정 알고리즘을 제안하고 이를 이용하여 다중카메라에서 전송된 다차원 영상의 실시간 모니터링 시스템을 구현한다. 각도, 거리등 다양한 환경에서 전송되어지는 스테레오 카메라의 영상 데이터들은 축소, 확대, 이동, 보정 등 전처리 후 제안된 움직임 보상을 위한 변형계층 모션벡터 추정 알고리즘을 이용하여 압축 처리, 전송 된다. 기존 모션벡터 추정 알고리즘인 전역 탐색, 3단계 탐색, 계층적 탐색이 갖는 장점을 계승하고 단점을 보완한 변형계층 알고리즘은 비정형, 소형 매크로 블록을 이용하여 휘도의 편차가 큰 영상의 효율적 움직임 추정에 이용된다. 본 논문에서 제안한 변형계층 움직임 추정 알고리즘과 이를 이용해 구현된 영상 시스템은 유비궈터스 환경에서 다양하게 활용될 수 있다.

ZigBee Alliance is a network designed for low-cost and very low-power short-range wireless communications. The ZigBee Alliance is a consortium formed by several leading semiconductor and industrial manufactures, and end users. One of the tasks of this organization is the definition of the networking support and applications profiles that will use IEEE Std 802.15.4-compliant transceivers. In the case of IEEE Std 802.15.4, the ZigBee Alliance is an organization that has led the development of the upper layers, through the definition of application profiles. We have implemented ZigBee home control system, however we have not fully implemented. Because of the ZigBee is not perfectly standarded. We will have to implement according to ZigBee Specifications.

Residential network is the hybrid technology of wireless, Ethernet, Bluetooth and RF to the internet via broadband connection at home to facilitate the convenient, safe and pleasant daily lives of home user with various home network services regardless of device, time and place. For ubiquitous development more devices will be wireless and most of them will be roaming. Since these roaming devices carry private information of daily life of residential users, the interaction among the roaming devices of residential network must be secure. This paper presents to secure registration of roaming devices using IP Security (IPSec) Protocol Suite without the need to trust foreign agents.

In this paper, we describe a development of a Bluetooth Access Point for the WAN connection of home network devices. Especially, users can access the PSTN at home instead of expensive digital cellular network through the AP, using the 'one-phone', which is the Bluetooth enabled cellular phone. The simultaneous benchmark test about telephone service and LAN access service shows the perfect compatibility and reasonable performance of the access point. The one-phone service can become a convergence of wired and wireless communication through the AP.

People want to control various facilities regardless location in ubiquitous era. Therefore we have a various devices embedded wireless functions. In this paper we implement a control program in a PDA that used Wireless LAN among wireless protocols. The objectives of this paper are: The first, to make a control program in server and a wireless client (PDA) using WLAN. The second, to implement smart home model. The third, to propose useful functions in home controls.

As the society changes more to the aging society in future, many healthcare product are developed and distributed more on the market. The digital wrist band tye blood pressure device for home use are popular already in the market. It is useful for checking blood pressure level at home and control of hypertension. Especially. It is very essential home device to check the health condition of blood circulation disease. Nowadays many product types are available. But the measurement accuracy of blood pressure is not enough compared to the mechanical type. It needs to be upgraded to assure the precise health data enough to use in the hospital. The structure, feature and output signal of capacitor type pressure sensors are analyzed. An improved design fa capacitor sensor is suggested. It shows more precise health data after use on a wrist band type health unit. They can be applied for remote u-health medical service.

This paper proposes a single sign-on scheme in which a mobile user offers his credential information to a home network running the OSGi (Open Service Gateway Initiative) service platform, to obtain user authentication and control a remote device through a mobile device using this authentication scheme, based on SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language). Especially by defining the single sign-on profile to overcome the handicap of the low computing and memory capability of the mobile device, we provide a clue to applying automated user authentication to control a remote device via a mobile device for distributed mobile environments such as a home network based on OSGi.

초고속 인터넷의 보급, 디지털 정보장비의 확산 및 생활 패턴의 변화에 따라 흠 네트워크의 필요성이 점차 확대되고 있다. 이에 따라 본 논문에서는 홈 네트워크화를 위해서 8051 MCU, 하드와이어드 TCP/IP(W3150A)를 이용하여 임베디드 이더넷 모듈을 설계, 구현하였다. 타겟 머신에 간단한 웹 서버를 구축하고 이를 이용한 원격제어 프로그램을 포팅하여 원격지에서도 인터넷으로 가전기기를 제어할 수 있도록 하였다. 개발한 모듈을 이용하여 유비쿼터스 시대에 저가격으로 홈 오토메이션을 구현할 수 있으리라 생각한다.

Home networks consist of two or more home appliances or communication devices enabling the mutual data communication between appliances such as personal computers, refrigerators, phones, television sets, personal digital assistants(PDA), etc. There are three factors that create demand for the home network services. The first factor is development of technology. Second, on the demand side, consumer demand for the home appliances having access to the Internet is in the increase. Finally, producers need a strategy to deal with the problem of market saturation. Home networks are emerging markets. They are unique in that they unite information technologies with home appliances that provide new services. in this paper we study the main attributes of home network services and analyze consumers' preferences for them. However, it is not quite possible to use the revealed preference approach since the home network market is still at an incipient stage. We therefore use the conjoint analysis method using stated preference data. conjoint analysis has been widely use in the area of marketing for evaluating consumer preferences for new products and services. it presents a hypothetical product to the respondents along with the product's attributes and their levels. The respondents are asked to either rank each alternative or choose between several hypothetical products. By estimating consumers' willingness to pay for the attributes of the home network services and analyzing consumers' preferences, we predict the pattern of the development of the home network services and related technologies along various quality dimensions. Based on the estimation results, we draw policy implications for the national- and company-level strategy.
