  • Ubiquitous society education students, teachers, parents, and educational administration systems, learning tools, and things connected to this one because it provides a learning environment in education for each student to determine their characteristics and needs, and even provide the required services for each student can. In other words, students and teachers within the school to concentrate on education and research activities of the intelligence service is the latest. 유비쿼터스 시대의 도서관 경영전략 (Management Strategies of Libraries in Ubiquitous Era)

  • 본 연구는 유비쿼터스 시대의 도서관 환경에 관하여 다각도로 검토하고 도서관 경영 전략을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구와 관련된 자료를 통해 우리나라도서관의 내외부의 환경을 조사하고 이를 바탕으로 보다 종합적인 도서관 경영전략을 마련하였다. 연구 결과 유비쿼터스 시대의 도서관의 발전을 위한 경영 전략으로 첫째, 도서관의 하이브리화 전략, 둘째, 콘텐트 확충 전략, 셋째, 이용자 서비스 다각화 전략, 넷째, 도서관의 조직 개편 및 학습조직문화 조성 전략, 다섯째, 도서관의 기금 모집 전략이 제안되었다.

  • The business in the Ubiquitous era has to be developed by combing a traditional marketing concept with a new concept system on Chip. The objective of this paper is researching on the attention or interest, understanding, positive effects, etc., for Ubiquitous Computing to realize u-Korea and u-Business. The paper result which is the stepwise developing scheme of u-Business could be useful in the policy, publicity and education, strategic implementation of the Ubiquitous Computing. And the proposed new services for u-Commerce can be applied to new business model of future IT industry. Actually, the awareness and understanding about Ubiquitous are low, But, We can't overemphasize the value of Ubiquitous. First of all, The publicity and education about It's may have to be emphasized.

Forecasting the Mega Trends of Korean Women's Life Style Under the Ubiquitous Technology Environment

  • Development of technology in the $20^{th}$ century has made great contributions to women's lives. With the development of digital convergence, home network, and DMBs (Distance Method Bracings), the ubiquitous technology information era is expected to create a new progressive era for women. The purpose of this study is to investigate the lifestyle that Korean women would like to pursue, especially in regards to the sense of value within the personal and social life of each individual. As a method to suggest how the socio-cultural trends of women's lifestyle will change in the ubiquitous era, qualitative interviews have been conducted over 6 groups with 77 persons between the digital ages of 20s and 30s, living in Seoul. The majority had positive opinions regarding the economic, cultural, emotional, and physical prospects of the ubiquitous information environment. Results show high expectations evolved around freedom from household chores, the equality between the sexes (at home and in society), enhancing the working environment at home, an expansion of human relationships leading to creative knowledge, being able to maintain a single life without economic constraints, and the enjoyment that the internet provides. for suggestions to improve the quality of women's lifestyle through ubiquitous technology, issues such as individual based customization, time management, creating emotional hyperspaces, multi-media communication systems, and women as leaders were studied.

  • With the advent of Ubiquitous era, Korean government understood its strategic importance and formulated 'IT839 Strategies' with various action plans not to miss the great opportunities which it may allow and eventually to realize u-Korea. As a result, m-Commerce is actualized and new types of Ubiquitous services such as digital multimedia broadcasting(DMB) and wireless broadband Internet(WiBro) are now on their commercial stages. Digital contents are the key success factors of these new services. Digital contents industry is regarded as next generation of growth engine in the digital economy, because it is knowledge-based and high value-added global industry affecting positively on the whole private and public sectors. This paper reviewed the characteristics, business models, technical and market trend of digital contents to be compatible with Ubiquitous environment. Also, it reviewed the development strategies of DMB and WiBro services, which are newly introduced and commercialized in Korea to make it as world leader in these fields. It may be concluded that Korea should make more efforts to development market-oriented digital contents for Ubiquitous era and to realize the sustained economic growth.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve ubiquitous fashion design which adolescents can be satisfied with. The methods of this study are documentary research of previous studies, survey research and deep interviews. For this study 371 students are selected as samples of survey. As a result of this study, we could know that the adolescents of the 21st century are enjoying actively the culture of consumers and the culture of information era. Domestic adolescents have much knowledge and interest in information and in UFC fashion products. So we can predict that domestic adolescents' interest and desire of UFC fashion products will increase gradually. As for using occasions, adolescents will use UFC fashion products for 'mobile', 'exercise', 'social followship', and as for using purposes, they will use UFC fashion products for 'listening to music', 'playing games', 'communication', 'search for information', etc. So when we develop UFC fashion products for adolescents, we'd rather develop the products for entertainment than for studying. To satisfy the various tastes of adolescents, UFC fashion products must also consider the design factors like styles, colors, materials, etc. In conclusion all UFC fashion products for adolescents must have not only the basic qualities like functions and conveniences, but also the qualities of designs.

  • 전자정보통신 기술의 발달로 인한 정보화의 수준이 계속 발전, 심화되면서 ‘언제 어디서나 존재한다’라는 의미를 가진 유비쿼터스(Ubiquitous) 컴퓨팅 시대는 20세기 후반부터 우리가 경험해왔던 것보다 더욱 큰 IT 패러다임의 변화와 이에 따른 삶의 커다란 변화를 가져다 줄 것으로 예상하고 있다. 기술의 발달은 새로운 위험을 초래한다. 테러리스트 들은 새로운 정보통신기술발전을 이용한 전혀 새로운 형태의 사이버 테러를 시도하고 있고 이러한 테러리스트들의 테러움직임에 대한 국가적인 대비태세 완비는 매우 시급한 것이 현실이다. 본 논문에서는 유비쿼터스 시대의 새로운 형태의 보안 문제로 첫째, 광대역 통합망(Broadband Convergence Network, BcN) 구축에 따른 보안위협 확산, 둘째, 무선 환경에 취약한 정보보안, 셋째, 개인정보의 유출 가능성 증대, 넷째 사이버위협을 통한 현실세계 위협의 증가, 다섯째, 군사작전사의 기밀유출 및 작전 마비 등을 지적하는 한편, 테러 대비 태세와 관련 우리가 현재 직면하고 있는 조직, 인력 및 기술 그리고 예산상의 문제점을 미국이나 일본 등의 외국과 비교하여 살펴보고 이에 대한 대안을 모색하였다.

  • In 21st century, mankind greets an era of ubiquitous computing where physical and virtual space are merged through the innovation of digital and IT(Information Technology), meanwhile ubiquitous computing and network paradigm suggest a new direction which our future educational system should head for. A society where people, computers, and objects can be connected with each other anytime and anywhere, that is, a society of ubiquitous computing where everything in our living space are interconnected by a immense network system may bring a variety of changes into our educational environment in schools. In this study I analysed the forecast of school educational orientation and ubiquitous educational environment and facilities in developed countries, and on the basis of the result, I performed a fundamental work for formation of a ubiquitous classroom environment which is feasible in Korea. In the section of conclusion, I present a model of ubiquitous classroom as a scenario based on ubiquitous computing technology applicable to future classroom environment.

  • In an upcoming ubiquitous era, humankind will live in a ubiquitous space, where everything is connected through communication network. In this ubiquitous space, a ubiquitous robot, which can be used by anyone for any service through any device and any network at anytime and anywhere in a u-space, is expected to be required to serve seamless and context-aware services to humankind. In this paper, we introduce the ubiquitous robot, and define three components of the ubiquitous robot. The first one is "SoBot" which can be connected through the network in anywhere with environment recognition function and communication ability with human. The second one is "EmBot" which is embedded into environments and mobile robots and has localization and certification function with sensor fusion. The last one is "Mobile Robot" which serves overall physical services. This paper also introduces KAIST ITRC-Intelligent Robot Research Center that pursues the implementation of the ubiquitous robot.

병원복을 위한 UFC(Ubiquitous Fashionable Computer) 디자인 (Ubiquitous Fashionable Computer Design for Hospital Clothing)

  • The purpose of this study is to suggest hospital clothing design which reflects ubiquitous info-communications technology as changing hospital environment in the information-oriented era of the 21st century. The methods of this study are documentary research of previous studies, observation research and deep interviews. Seoul national university hospital is selected as a target of observation for this study. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and patients who are the representative jobs in the hospital are interviewed from on July, 13, 2006 to on August, 1, 2006. According to observation research, the computers, OCR, and PACS are applied from registration to dosage through all courses of diagnosis. However, the most inconvenient problems to patients are the location of medical offices and confusion of reservation. Also, the needs and inconveniences of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and patients are almost solved by using RFID technology as a result of deep interviews. They prefer wearing devices as an accessory to wearing devices as a clothing directly. In conclusion, suggested UFC design for hospital clothing with info-communications technology promotes efficiency, accuracy, convenience of work to medical personnel in changing hospital environment as the flow of the information-oriented era of the 21st century.
